hello guys crisp here welcome back to another video in this one my friends I'm going to be testing a GeForce RTX 470 TI in cyberpunk 277 version 2.01 in the Phantom Liberty DLC more specifically in dog town which is super super demanding this one is the pallet game Rock midnight Kos scope version of the card we are running it with the latest NVIDIA drivers and I'm not manually overclocking it you can see all of its specs here in Tech powerups GPU resizable bar is also enabled and we're pairing it with the I5 13 600k overclock to 5.5 GHz and 32 GB of ddr5 6000 MHz Ram in dual Channel let's get into it shall we let's go over the settings first I'm starting at 1080p resolution we're also going to test this one at 1440p 4K and 8K resolutions with and without the LSS and we're starting with the ultra settings preset without any rate racing but we're also going to test rate racing a little bit later the LSS is turned off as you can see I'm also going to disable FSR which comes on by default with the ultra settings reset why not the LSS I don't know and down here I'm also going to disable these three settings as well as motion blur just to clear up some noise of the image and chromatic operations and stuff like who likes that right everything else is set to the preset and on the gameplay tab these are the settings if you're interested all right everyone so we're getting 120s and 130s here at 1080p ultra settings native resolution as well let me just double check that I don't have LS says yep okay or FSR those are disabled these frames are just insane especially comparing it to like the 4060 TI that we tested yesterday as well as the 3070 a couple of days ago this is fantastic performance my friends obviously getting into a car will definitely drop our FPS by a little bit and it actually becomes a bit CPU bound as you can see GP utilization is not maxed out all of the time anymore unfortunately that's just because this DLC is super ultra CPU intensive my friends they also bumped up the recommended requirements for this game it recommends a 7800x 3D now that's absolutely Bonkers isn't it or an i7 12 700k which um is actually a bit slower than the 13600 K but 7800 x3d is faster anyway at 1080p resolution you can expect a bit of a CPU bottle like unfortunately the card is just just too strong for this res that said enabling dlss won't really do much as you can see right here it's getting a 100 sorry sorry it's getting exactly the same FPS it's just getting a little bit lower GP utilization actually a lot lower 60% right now that will obviously decrease the power usage of the card and make the game look pretty good still honestly it still looks really nice with the LSS quality at 1080p res uh but yeah again we're CPU limited here in this game and I'm not going to spend a lot of time here at 1080p because of it let's enable frame generation though which helps quite a bit when you are CPU bound actually for example in Microsoft flight simulator it makes a huge difference and now we're finally seeing 98% GPU usage I also disabled D LSS okay it's turned off at the moment cuz we don't really need it we were CPU bound after all so might as well have a little bit higher quality visuals um and yeah now it should be at 90 plus% GPU usage the entire time so if you want to fully utilize your cards which you might do obviously nobody likes CPU bottl well enabling frame generation will actually allow you to do that which is very nice to see you could also enable some daa here it will also perform with like 20 FPS lower than it did before so now we're in the 140s 130s steel GPU bound of course with that frame generation enabled uh I mean does it look better than native resolution probably you can adjust the sharpness as well so if you like a little bit of an oversharpened look you can increase that to like 69% for example that's the perfect value actually I I don't think you can it only works in increments of five here in this game uh but yeah you can adjust the sharpening and the experience is still going to be buttery buttery smooth and I actually see also some of these spikes that we're seeing sometimes in the frame time Spike little stutters are because of Autos saves it's not really the game stuttering it's just Autos saving which is very annoying but still as I was saying I've seen a lot of people that actually prefer the daa experience here in this game and I don't usually test it because it it loses a ton of FPS in cyber punk in specific okay all right this is it for the 1080p resolution let's move on to the adequate res for the 470 TI which Nvidia says is 1440p and here we have it 2560 by 1440 without dlss still using the exact same settings ultra settings without the chromatic aberations depth of fields and motion blurs and so on right so hopefully at 1440p resolution we don't see those CPU bottleneck issues anymore cuz it's a much higher resolution of course and it's down into the 70s wo wo and 60s wao that's really low actually I thought it was going to perform a little bit better than that I'm actually going to restart the game to make sure that everything is working properly all right I guess it's going to be exactly the same guys yep it's dropping into the 70s already and we are going to drop into the 60s for sure oh boy I wrecked the car already damn it yep there we go so it after a restart it still performs exactly the same also if I get out of the car we do get way higher FPS as you can see even in this same area we were seeing like 70s and 60s at times and now we're close to like 90 frames per second most of the time so if you're seeing different results and if you see for example Benchmark graphs in other channels nothing wrong with those obviously they are awesome to compare gpus and stuff um but keep in mind that the differences can be huge whether or not the benchmarker decides to drive around or just walk around for example so yeah anyway 62 FPS right there dropping to around the same values as before as I told you it's exactly the same thing VM usage is maybe slightly lower than it was before I don't know it doesn't really matter cuz it's not maxed out oh boy again I just expected a little bit better coming from d47 TI it's such a beast of a GPU oh boy the the car physics are still amazing aren't they wait a second Bob has a beanie remember the Starfield video I mean slow field videos that I made guys Bob always had a beanie there and now he carried it to Phantom Liberty here guys so we're just going to do this there we go why does he keep dying with the cross shape and why is his blood like Mercury oh my goodness Jesus Bob what the hell is wrong with you see he's an alien he's like a demon a demonic something I don't know GPU usage still at 99% but I think it fluctuated a little bit already yep 87% there again um not a problem though it's well above 60 FPS all over the time still let's enable some dlss and make it CPU Bound Again yeah I don't like that okay all right wait a sec G utilizations can still go up to 99% at times even like this uh my car of course isn't there anymore oh look at the interior of my car it's white I love it it's like my my case right there with my new cooler the Galahad 240 Trinity version two with all of those names in a different order okay yeah it does a pretty good job over here of cooling our 13600 K overclocked and I mean the the CPU is quite power hungry it's consuming 130 140 Watts at times have a stutter right there don't like that not sure if it was an Autos save or not but it doesn't really happen very often so it's okay um yeah the previous cooler that I had I am now using it on my other PC right there with the 7950 X but I will actually return the 795x guys cuz it's having blue screens twice a day I bought it used in C X I think the CPU is just a dud it's also a pre-production unit because it came with a little paper saying that it's not for sale and they they actually sold it to me yep but yeah I'm going to have to return it unfortunately and get back to the three-hour rendering time for these videos with 13600 k at least for the uh near future anyway you can see that this is still getting like around 80 90% J utilization it's not that that great you know so let's enable frame generation without the LSS first see how it looks here very good and it's it's getting very good FPS at the same time guys 100s 11 teens now the thing with the 11 teens and lower 100 is that you can actually start noticing quite the difference in terms of input delay it's not really that high obviously and you can get used to it very very quickly and doesn't really bother me too much but if you're looking for it you're going to notice the the little difference so what I'm going to do here is enable D LSS quality at the same time as frame generation it still looks very good almost the same as without the LSS quality just upscaling from native resolution well not upscaling but introducing AI generated frames uh on top of native resolution um and this way we can actually achieve like 120 plus FPS all of the time at 1440p Ultra and it's going to be butter smooth and it's going to feel very responsive at the same time and it's just amazing is that the calculator of the future or something there's a person waiting for you to feed them yeah put the tablet away no what are you doing you're going to eat instead of talking to your client we got to get rid of him goodbye oh boy I I really like killing Bob guys for some reason we're doing Justice to the World by doing that anyways we already know that over here killing all of these people around us it just gets more CPU intensive with with frame generation it doesn't really matter and uh the FPS are basically the same 140s 150s with the input lag of about like 80 frames per second which is plenty enough so it's definitely worth utilizing and this is probably how I'd end up playing this game at 1440p I actually tested it on a 30 2 in 1440p monitor using these exact same settings and it looked fantastic guys all right now we're at 3840 by 2160 this is 4K resolution using the same ultra settings without the LSS or frame generation or anything ooh that's intensive okay 470 TI is finally sweating a little bit that's interesting I think I would probably switch it down to high settings instead of ultra at 4K I'm going to restart again just to make sure it seems a little bit too low okay we're back to it guys and it's exactly the same as we saw previously dropping into the 30s and mid-30s low 30s oh my God will it actually drop from 30 holy crap at this point I I actually think it will in some scenarios not very often but yeah this is not a good experience at 4K native with ultra settings it's a bit too much for the 47 ETI huh whoa that's that's actually pretty crazy I thought it was going to perform way better again it does perform way better in the base game I'm going to Showcase that actually oh no wait a second it doesn't perform way better in the base game it's about the same stuff okay so for those of you who are getting mad at me for playing the game here with like 3060 TI 4060 26 when the Phantom Liberty DLC came out saying that oh Phantom Liberty with do town is way more intensive well it's kind of the same at least here at 4K with this GPU okay so now I'm using quality dlss all right and uh it's still not enough to achieve 60 plus FPS of course we were getting 30 so I didn't really expect it to double our FPS but the thing is with frame generation on top of this quality dlss it should get pretty dang smooth yes it does 80 FPS okay that's much better guys all right that feels pretty decent although whenever I get out of the car to shoot people in just a little bit I'm probably going to be very mad at the input lag and I will definitely not recommend this experience okay but just for driving around and if you're not sensitive to input delay too much it it's going to be fine it's above 60 FPS the entire time and it it looks really really good okay let's see what I I can do here also I just read a comment while waiting for a loading screen or whatever saying that I should probably utilize this on Ultra well I can't really change that hm I guess you can only change that without frame generation maybe I don't know anyways I've always been doing this like this and I didn't really feel major your disadvantages so yeah uh oh my gosh okay okay so yeah it definitely feels a little bit slower or sluggish to move the mouse around and flick shot and so on not that I flick shot a lot here in cyber Punk but uh the input lag is definitely slightly more noticeable I'm going to stop it there guys it does achieve 30 plus FPS all of the time but again it it's just a little bit too input laggy and here with performance dlss instead it's getting 100 frames per second and it looks insanely good I mean that's actually crazy how good D LSS performance looks at 4K resolution this time when this game came out it didn't really look that great honestly but the LSS 3.5 is it's good it's very good you can see a little bit more shimmering sometimes right now especially at the distance but I mean most of the picture looks very good oh yeah the the smoke effects are a little bit pixelated that's the only thing that I can see and I can spot um that's very very noticeable and degraded from the use of the LSS so this could be a very viable option especially if you are on a 32in monitor I bet you aren't going to be able to tell much of a difference in terms of visuals cuz I am not able to tell much of a difference on a 42 in I I wouldn't have a problem playing like this uh but let's try it with high settings instead disable FSR over here and disable these three options all right no dlss this is high settings native resolution yeah again I we just went from performance dlss to Native resolution and I can't really tell much of a difference it it might have been slightly softer but it's it's so similar here in this game now instead of getting 30s we're getting 50s that's a considerable jump in performance for sure but if you want native resolution at 4K apparently 470 TI isn't really capable of achieving 60 plus all of the time even on high so game is quite intensive isn't it holy crap good thing is we got quality dlss right there to save the day and right now we don't have any of the input Delay from frame generation and we can achieve 60 plus 100% of the time and and quality the LSS at 4K I will say it's it's the same it looks the same to me as native all right let me just see the FPS around here once again it dropped to like 73 on the lowest and now speeding over here drops our fps to yeah mid 70s High 7s is is just not a problem so yeah again if you want the ultra settings go with frame generation and performance dlss if you want the high settings this is probably how I'd play this 70ish frames even with like 60 FPS locked probably because it will smooth out that frame time graph now let's enable frame generation on top of this all right this is D LSS quality frame generation and high settings instead of ultra settings and it's getting like five less FPS than performance dlss on ultra settings with frame generation enabled as well so it's going to feel very very similar compared to that in terms of input delay and uh it looks great it looks almost the same I'm not going to spend too much time here you get the idea 4070 TI does a great job here uh let's just let me just I'm curious now performance dlss with a high settings and um frame generation enabled we get 120 frames that's going to be buttery smooth and pretty responsive at the same time although it does drop into like the te the one te basically and actually if you leave the dlss quality on auto instead of setting it to Quality or performance manually uh it actually is performance at 4K resolution Auto dlss is performance dlss at 4K at 1440p it's balanced and at 1080p it's quality so yeah there's that okay time for rate racing Ultra preset I'm going to disable the LSS which enables Itself by default also guys in my other PC I could enable dlss Ray reconstruction with the rate tracing Ultra preset I don't know why I just installed the game there and it was available and in this PC it's not available so that I maybe it was bugged there but I could definitely notice that it was enabled cuz I was like oh they patched the game and now it works I I don't know what's going on with that but yeah unfortunately Ray reconstruction is going to be disabled right here but let's start at Native resolution disable all of these once again and this is it these are the rate racing settings no path tracing at the moment and let's turn it down to 1080p okay so if you really want to play games at Native resolution this is definitely not a good idea guys look at this also look at the vrm utilization it's almost at 10 gigs right now and uh yeah that's probably why the 36 the the 46ti was stuttering quite a bit yesterday cuz it was probably running out of VM slightly at 1080p resolution but this is also a little bit stuttery yeah maybe it's just R Racing that stutter I don't know anyway it's it's not good as you can clearly see it does drop from 60 FPS rate racing is just way too intensive to play without any upscaling Technologies and trickery it's just not worth utilizing at Native resolution all right so let's enable quality dlss first with the frame generation turned off and this completely changes the experience guys I'm just going to increase the sharpness a little bit at 1080p so it looks a little bit sharper and better and uh all right this is it 80 something FPS we went from like 60 is to 70 plus basically I hope it's get 70 plus though around that other roundabout I don't know what's with roundabouts in this game as well right cuz in the previous base map that I usually tested I always went around the roundabout Bob's roundabout I guess this one could also be called the Bob's roundabout cuz he's very close to it as well have a stutter again there and the CP the GPU usage I'm just noticing it it's not maxed out guys we are CPU bound with quality dlss at 1080p but it's still getting 60 plus FPS the ENT ire time so want that experience this looks very close to Native resolution once again and it performs way better but now let's try it with frame generation and quality dlss and okay now this is a completely different experience right oh my goodness we went from 60 fps to basically a 100 more frames per second with that frame Generation stuff as well as quality D LSS and honestly I'm not really seeing that big of a difference in visuals it's slightly softer once again not really a problem especially if you're on like a 2 4 in 1080P monitor it's going to look very good and it's going to be a buty smooth experience with rate racing enabled unfortunately again we're still seeing a few more spikes than usual on the frame time graph few more stutters all right let's go over here now it's time for us to kill Bob once again there he is why were you bald before Bob don't you like your hair it's it's fabulous hair actually are you still alive gosh damn it Bob just die already thank you very much now let's turn off the upscaling Technologies okay we're back to Native resolution getting those 60s and let's turn it up to 1440p and at 1440p Native R it is really rough as you can see it's getting 40s it's definitely dropping into the 30s once we get inside of a car and start driving around so not ideal definitely far from ideal in my opinion ultra settings probably the way to go if you want native resolution at 1440 cuz rate racing does add a little bit to the image but it's not that much if you're not looking for the differences I doubt anyone can actually tell the difference uh maybe in like uh enclosed spaces darker areas with a few light spots and stuff it does look way better with rt enabled but here especially during the day it's not really that different let's be honest here and it just kills performance like crazy but with quality dlss it might actually put us above 60 and if all you want is a 60 plus FPS experience the entire time well this is it I think a lot of people play these single player titles with locked FPS I certainly would because it lowers power consumption both both on the CPU and GPU so it's a good practice to do especially on laptops guys cuz it won't heat up as well at the same time and on top of that it will also smooth out the frame time graph it will just be a flat line there which is what you want without any stuttering whatsoever so if it was up to me playing on a 1440p monitor and not really caring about high refresh rate on a single player title like this one I would probably just pick these settings and lock it to 60 FPS and call it a day I'm actually going to exemplify it okay so 60 FPS lock right there sorry for the screen tearing that's about to happen because of the capture card um but yeah you can see the frame time is much much flatter at the moment and it definitely feels a little bit smoother at the same time to turn the camera around and so on but yeah it's definitely a really smooth experience like this and you save a bit of power as well as stuttering now with frame generation enabled yeah let's just check it out with locked FPS this is what happens if you lock the FPS with frame generation enabled on Nvidia gpus on AMD with FSR 3 it actually works very differently if you lock the FPS it it works great but yeah this is terrible again the input delay isn't really massive cuz it's still above 100 FPS pretty much at all times it's pretty good it's pretty damn good R racing with frame generation see this is the selling point of the 40 series guys it's these are very expensive gpus and pretty much AMD gpus as well as last generation the 30 series are far better value they they offer far better value in the used Market as well as in the New Market these days but if you end up with a GPU like this the frame Generation stuff is pretty damn good yeah that's about it for these settings where's Bob oh there he is okay he was hiding himself a little bit there let's try it at 4K resolution it's going to be a really big video guys so I'm just going to skip the native resolution and quality the LSS and performance the LSS and go right away to the LSS performance as well as frame generation enabled and there we go this is it it looks very good it gets 80 something FPS and again I've already talked about this experience with the input delay and stuff at 80 FPS it's okay it's not amazing dropping into the 60s now though so that can be a bit worse definitely when you drop into the 60s guys with frame generation enabled you you can start noticing a a big slowdown H this is very slow damn it it's stuttering as well gosh I I don't like it oh it's stuttering be because it's it's running out of VM using these settings guys R racing with performance dlss and frame generation is running out of V I saw 12 gigs right there and the RAM usage is a little bit higher than it was at lower resolution so that means that it already swapped some of the things that should be on vram into the RAM and that's why it was stuttering there anyway that's the 4K experience and I think we should move on to 1080p with rate raising overdrive finally that's the last settings that we're going to test here in this game no the LSS no these over here and this is it this is path tracing it's a technology preview as it says right there and you actually require at least a GeForce RTX 470 TI or an RTX 390 I'm actually going to restart because it's already swapped some things into the ram okay so RAM usage went down a little bit as you can see it's not at 14 gigs anymore FPS are about the same though 30ish it's yeah it's not it's not good but it's very impressive that it can actually run 1080p native with with rate racing overdrive obviously nobody should play like this cuz it's a crappy experience compared to everything that we saw so far but still it does not drop from 30 FPS guys and it's path tracing obviously this technology is meant to be used with the LSS so let's select it to Quality and now we're in the 60s still going to drop into the 50s probably near the roundabout which is very intensive for some reason cyber Punk really hates roundabout or maybe it loves them and puts a lot of details around roundabouts it hasn't really dropped has it guys also I think Ray reconstruction is enabled cuz we got that little bit of an oil painting look yep that's right so keep that can you please get out of the freaking oh my God oh my thank you thank you stop it oh boy no that's what what is happening I'm stuck still playable though no input lag because no frame generation is being utilized right now and uh yeah it looks good A little bit worse than the LSS quality at the other settings that we tested so far but it's pretty decent let's enable dlss frame generation next okay so with dlss FG on top it's it gets pretty soft actually it's closer to the image that the LSS 2 or 2.5 gave previously but I mean if you have a native 1080p monitor once again it it should look pretty decent and it's now getting 130 FPS so in terms of input lag and so on it's not really bad whatsoever it's pretty dang smooth actually and responsive and yeah it's path racing still just not that native resolution look that the LSS quality gave previously so 1440p here we go let's turn this well we already know it's not going to be playable without the LSS so let's enable the LSS with without the LSS frame generation first on quality and it seems like we're getting around the same FPS maybe a little bit higher than 1080p native resolution and now it doesn't look like an oil painting in the slightest it's pretty damn good looking with Ray reconstruction enabled now all right and again this is path tracing my friends oh we got some fire effects right there I kind of want to take a look at them see if they reflect onto my weapon and stuff that should be interesting I don't think it's doing any of that though oh what a shame what a shame come on I expected a great reflection on my weapon so enabling frame regeneration on top of it puts us at 80 something FPS that's what we got with 4K Ultra right Ultra rate racing and dlss performance plus frame generation or dlss quality plus frame generation something like that and uh yeah I mean it's going to be playable once again if you want to play around like this drive around like this is going to be fine but shooting things like this with 80 FPS and 70s and sometimes possibly 60s Whenever there are huge fire effects in that mission that I was telling you about yeah you're going to notice the Slowdown so not ideal I think frame generation is is really damn good at like 100 plus FPS on average so uh yeah that's about it right last thing to do I guess is 4K with performance dlss and frame generation and Ray reconstruction and the path racing settings all right looking pretty darn good this time though that's sick that's really good looking guys and Ray reconstruction makes such a difference when it comes to the reflections quality obviously we're not really seeing a lot of that here I'm not focusing in that but if I take a look at the top of a car for example they're kind of like at 15 FPS the reflections there which is kind of weird but again we're getting 40ish FPS as well it's not great I thought the input delay would be a little bit worse at 40 FPS than it actually is maybe they changed something in how it works cuz I remember playing with 40 FPS and FG and it was absolutely terrible maybe it's because we're driving around okay no never mind yeah this is it's pretty bad the input delay over here can still kill Bob yep definitely goodbye Bob but I I does not feel good guys it does not feel good it takes me a really long time to shoot people compared to like 50 FPS without frame generation so again I would only utilize FG at 100 plus FPS on average and it's also a bit stuttery at the same time cuz as you can see the vram is maxed out RAM usage is already at 15 GB so it's swapped a ton of things already yeah this is just not ideal whatsoever just stick to 1440p maximum if you want path TR thanks very much for watching that's been it for this one I hope you guys enjoyed it and I hope I covered everything that you were looking for don't forget to like And subscribe if you haven't already catch you in the next one love you all bye-bye
