everyone read enix of Valor Ridge in this video I'm gonna give you some ideas on how to set up your play carrier I'll show you the one that I currently use the configuration that I like and I'll explain each concept behind it hopefully give you guys some ideas in order to equip yourself and get ready to defend yourself and your community and your family let's go ahead and get started alright folks so if week here that I'm using right now is a cry precision jumpable Plake here i use the 2.0 version I like this because it's lightweight it has everything that I need on there and nothing more so my personal setup preference is I like to have my magazines on my support hand side so this is my firing hands where I use the rifle right here so I like to have my magazines right here what I've got here is my emergency reload pouch so this one I always keep full I like to have a sub magazine ready to go so I can just pull that up and go so if I need to hit an emergency reload I'm right here and then I can reload from that pouch I've got two other ones right here one here one here like flaps and security this one does but I like to have security there I've also got on the back right here if you can see I've got two spare magazines one here and one here I also got my pack right here where I keep a lot of things like gore-tex or a cold-weather layer like a Field Jacket liner or some kind of will be you know if you do that a water hydration system also goes in there you'll notice that the front of my fleet carrier is slick you notice how low-profile that is I like this because I like to get down prone when I get down prone I should be able to hit a prone position without having to do like the reverse 70s worm right I'd like to be laying down on the ground if I can't get down flat on the ground prone then if you can't do that you need to go to something else I noticed the last 10-15 years guys have been going double stack magazines on the front here and sometimes triple things we're designed by people who have never really done this before or by people that were used to riding around in vehicles and that's great if that's what you did and that's the thank you for your service man for real like I'm a veteran myself but I can tell you that we want to be aware of who me if we can't get down prone that's not a good thing so make sure you keep your your front as low-key as you can so I keep mine nice and slick you also notice that on the right side of here is clear with the exception of my knife and my radio when I draw my pistol guys that's clear it doesn't impede my draw now I'm undoing my concealed carry today but normally what I'll have is a is a Safariland ALS right here so that if I have to do a transition I'm automatically right there but you'll notice the right side of my plate carrier slick it doesn't get in the way why do I have a knife here well I have a knife because if my rifle fails I can go to my pistol if my pistol fails I can go to my knife this knife here is very fast it is a BC blade work CSAT scalpel serial number six good stuff there indestructible blade ah BC blade words make some good stuff it's probably my favorite I like that right there it's very quick as I said we can come out and you're ready to go so I'm a big fan of there's my radio here's four other people that I've involved with in the area so I keep it light I don't have a huge loadout like this whole thing probably weighs 15 pounds if you're under about what plates that I'm running in here very simple level 3 plus Poly's they're about four and a half pounds each I know that they're coming out with new stuff all the time I've seen some down in like 4.3 pounds some even as low as four pounds but I wouldn't go below level three plus because if we get below level three plus we just go to that level three on hard plates it will not stop a lot of the green tip and it won't stop a lot of the other rounds as well so I make sure that I'm running level three plus it's not gonna be cheap but you know then again I also I'm not counting on these plates from stopping rounds because you know what stops rounds even better than this like dirt cover reinforced concrete like stuff like that but in the case of an emergency I want to have at least some good plates on there so hope I gave you some ideas on your plate carrier and you don't know I said I like cry but I've used other ones I've used us palm I've used tactical Taylor I've used a lot of the good ones and I had a setup just very similar to this so whatever brand that you get make sure you got a good nylon carrier that'll be durable that'll that'll rest I get up and down on these gravel all the time you see all this gravel around here I get up I get down when I'm doing my hundred and seven drills when I'm doing my PT when I'm doing my burpees I do it in this kit because I like to Train and I like to practice with my full load out my full kit so when I'm doing this this is this is you can see it's not worn out it's not scuffed up and I've had this for many many months now and of course you got to have the obligatory patch the wonderful state of Tennessee right here which I'm a proud proud citizen of but what we look at folks is that we want to look at durability and we're look at where we're putting our gear so I like to have a slick front like to have immediate access to magazines right here quick and eat quick and painless very easy to get to I need to do a quick reload I can I know other guys wear belts and stuff like that hate each their own that's good stuff too you know there's nothing wrong with a nice belt setup but I'll keep it minimal like maybe one or two mags max and your pistol maybe some med gear you ask well where's your med kit read I always carry it right here in my cargo pocket because this goes with me whether I'm doing concealed carry or if I'm doing over carry like right now so I always keep a full blowout kit and here with a tourniquet pressure dressing hemostatic agent some gauze things like that that's what I keep in my cargo pockets but if you don't do that and you will have to have medical gear on your kit somewhere this guys quick video just some ideas go out there and the best way to figure out what works for you is to go out and practice and train in it and see what works for you I've had people show up to class with stuff that's real bulky and getting in the way I even had a guy come in who was a law enforcement and he when he tried to do a pistol transition he had a bunch of pouches on this side and he couldn't get his pistol up without coming way around like that so he obviously changed some stuff around after that so it was a good thing but so you got to go out and practice and train best way to do that to come out and get in a class see what works for you see what works with you rather than against you and if it works against you guys then you got to throw it in the bin of shame and we've all got one so just some helpful tips for you if you found the information the video helpful subscribe the channel follow me on Facebook that link is down below and if you want to come out and get some training coming out to battle orig we'd love to have you out in class and I look forward to meeting each and every one of you there's Reed Hendrix with Valerie reminding you lessons that we learn tombstones of others we'll see on the ridge [Music]
