Interesting! Sherlock definitely has elements I'd call psychopathic/autistic in the show, so I guess the writers just went with a mesh of sociopathy/psychopathy/autism and just called it sociopathy to make Sherlock sound less off-putting. It would be harder to identify with a character who calls themselves a "psychopath", while he does have a lot of psychopathic traits.
