welcome to our slash I don't work here lady where we share stories about folks that go into other businesses and have irate customers mistake them for employees and today's story is a group turns violent causes chaos in a store when they fail to understand that I am NOT a worker even cops have a hard time getting things straight it happened to last Christmas it's a beautiful Saturday morning and I walk into a super store to buy stuff for Christmas as the christmas eve is near there is a lot of rush in the store now this store has white shirt and black trousers with aprons in a cap as uniform and I am in a funky white sleeveless pullover in denim shorts so there is no possibility of anyone mistaking me as a working staff suddenly an old lady comes up to me while I'm checking the wineglasses section and very politely asks me old lady son can you help me out in selecting a headphone for my son points me toward the headphone section me hmm sure but I don't actually work here me smiling old lady embarrassed oh sorry son I mistook you for a staff me no problem it can happen with anyone still I can't help you with that the old lady hesitates first and then starts walking along with me I take out my phone and read the reviews of different headphones present there it has been around 10 minutes since I have met the lady meanwhile I notice a young couple moving close to me and by their facial expression it seemed they were constantly talking about me after helping the old lady I start to walk back to wineglasses section when suddenly someone grabs my pullover cap from behind I stop with a jerk and turn back to see the same couple standing dangerously close to me now the lady comes even closer to my face yeah she is dang pretty but still and yells is what you are here for man now this is how the conversation proceeds me puzzled I don't get you lady what do you want rude lady yelling you are responsible for all the bafflement spread across your store your stocks are highly overpriced is this what you cheaters do to earn during Christmas raise the prices me understanding the situation I'm sorry but I think you're confused I'm not at staff I don't work here lady she is in no mood to listen she angrily kicks a wooden shelf causing one or two items to topple from the shelf and yells again rude lady you little pea I know you work here you lousy piece of dirt what are you being paid for scoundrel I will report you and we'll make sure they kick you out and you don't get a job anywhere in this town a few people gather around us hearing all this shouting I've also lost my cool hearing the tone of her voice me you dumb fellow how dare you speak like this to any person irrespective of him being a staff or not don't you have any sense of how to talk to a person especially when you need his help I'm not gonna help your big rude mouth with anything I start walking away so that the matter does not escalate any more but the matter is far from over now the big bull boyfriend who was standing back suddenly jumps in front of me and holds collar of my pullover and shouts big ugly boyfriend how dare you talk to my girlfriend like that me angry tone the way she speaks I'm surprised you're still not habituated to these kinds of reactions from public I push his hands away from my tea and start walking away again not trying to cause any further drama now a man in blue jeans and t-shirt is moving hastily towards us probably the manager of the store I suppose by this time I suddenly hear glass breaking to my right I turned my head and it seems that the rude lady has thrown a metal bell towards me which luckily missed me and broke the wine glasses on the shelves now to my surprise I am at the receiving end of a punch just thrown by the man who was hastily moving towards me before I can react the manager along with his staff guards and cops are at the crime scene before I can understand anything I am on the ground two officers on my back cuffing me and moving me around like they have caught a Mafia the rude lady is crying in the arms of her boyfriend and the person who punched me is actually one of their friends who was just in a different section of the store when the incident started the cops are in no mood to listen to anything from me actually it was not their fault the scene would force anyone to believe that I was the offender a harassed lady with her boyfriend consoling her a friend protecting them both a harasser with punch face and the people around perfect situation to determine the guilty the manager tried to calm down the situation I was standing in a corner with my hands cuffed and mouth shut while the cops were talking to the sandurz no one had a clue about how the incident started as no one had watched us from the start I tried over and over again to explain the whole situation to the cops but they simply refused to listen the couple had pinned everything on me I stood dumb beside them as they explained the harrowing incident to the cops their conversation cop sir ma'am can you please explain the event in a detailed manner so that we can note down your statement before pressing charges on this lunatic rude lady weeping we had been to this store yesterday evening as well for buying Christmas gifts but due to shortage of time we had to leave early today when we came back we found the items to be ridiculously overpriced so we tried approaching a staff to inquire about the change in price other staffs were occupied so we approached this lunatic for help instead of helping he started making obscene gestures and comments to me he even came so close to my face it looked like he was trying to kiss me I was unable to bear his behavior as his eyes move from top to bottom I was frightened as his intentions were sexually motivated I am standing right next to that be listening to all that blathering she was doing in front of the cops I was completely taken aback when she pinned sexual harassment on me now remember I am not allowed to speak now and she continues rude lady this is not it when my boyfriend tried to intervene he mishandled him pushed him in a violent way he could have got hurt he even hurled abuses at me and my boyfriend you can even ask the people who were standing here points to the people who are standing now the officer asks a bystander regarding this statement and the bystander agrees that heated argument was going on between me and her and also maintains his statement that he was not present during the complete incident big bull boyfriend this.p had said enough for me to break his nose he has spoken to Roget Orie words about my girlfriend just I did not want things to turn ugly so I did not do anything it will take a lot for us to overcome this mental trauma that has been caused to us we will even go legal against this store for not maintaining proper security for their customers now the whole conversation is taking place behind my back I'm standing in a corner with my face to the wall and an officer is standing right next to me so probably people are not able to see my face the funny part is that even the manager has no clue about which one of his staff involved in this incident he is just sure that the guy is one of his own now the things have gone far beyond just being a non-compliant staff I am now a criminal under law facing charges of sexual harassment defamation violence attempt to murder and whatnot the manager overhears the boyfriend pulling the store into the case he has put the reputation of the store in question and the manager makes a desperate attempt to negotiate store manager sir we have utmost security in our store adequate staff are smooth and hassle-free help of customers a zero-tolerance policy for any kind of violation and proper security staff or safety of all I understand the trauma that the incident is put upon you as a token of support and love from our store we would like to offer you a complimentary 400 dollar gift card of our store along with free buy out of anything you select today from our store having a price tag of $100 or below big bull boyfriend high tone do you think this can soothe the effect of today's incident do you think we are doing it for money store manager no sir definitely not just as you are our very valuable customer and we believe in 100% customer satisfaction we are offering you this we have always been loyal to our customers and would like to maintain our image big bold boyfriend okay we'll talk about that later and cop interrupting cop sir we will now move this creep to his rightful place and press charges and process him after recording his statement at the agency cop turning towards manager we would need a copy of all the CCTV footage of today later the manager nods in agreement there are three cops present at the scene one standing right next to me one interacting with the couple while the third is noting down the statement of the people people are still standing there talking and making fuss about the incident now the cop standing beside me grabs the collar of my tea and starts pushing me towards his car I can't explain what I'm going through I've always been decent and have never landed in front of a cop before never even been to the federal agency I am filled with hatred embarrassment and anger while I desperately try to hide my face from the public really wanted to punch that be straight on her nose I'm feeling ashamed of myself thinking that just if I could have controlled my anger for once I would not have landed here still I know I have not done anything wrong I know I don't have any powerful contacts here none that can get me out of this mess I know very few people as I have moved recently to this city as I start moving with my face covered with my cupped hands I can make out there are a lot of people standing there and talking about the incident that which is still crying in her boyfriend's arms and their friend is trying to impress people I can hear different versions of story being discussed and none of them describing me as innocent we reach the storefront and start moving down the stairs when suddenly the officer pulls me by my tee and makes me stop I can hear him greeting somebody I can just hear their voices as I try to peep through my hands trying to see who the person is their conversation proceeds cop good morning ma'am so there is this lady and surprisingly enough the cop is greeted her first so she must be someone important I presume lady Hey good morning Ben what a fine day just up for Christmas shopping seems she notices me standing who's this guy now honestly I don't know what is the officer trying to do he suddenly grabs my collar from behind shaking me vigorously cop proudly caught this little peeve teasing and causing nuisance inside the store has harassed a lady so bad that she broke down into tears and surprisingly he is one of the staff of the store I am gonna make sure he doesn't come out soon lady sharply you guys have loosened the grip I can tell that from the number of incidents that have happened in the last three months cop we are still trying to get in sync with the new mayor he has made a lot of changes and we are trying to adapt to the new system that he has brought in these fools are taking advantage of the situation and surely these things didn't happen when you were in office so the lady seems to be the previous mayor of the town how would I know I've just moved into the town not long ago the way their conversation went I'm pretty sure she's not a kind hearted type of person now I desperately want the officer to take me away from there before the lady suggests any new criminal charges to be put up against me lady you already know about the clear-cut policy I had against harassers I think this statement motivated him so much that he forcefully pulled my hands down hurting my wrist so badly that I shrieked out I am now standing exposed in front of the lady she can clearly see my face but I am still blinded by the sudden exposure to light lady surprise hey it's you the guy from the store cop do you know him has he done anything else to lady no Ben no no it's not that but how did you end up like this you were with your friends now is the lights clear I am in complete shock she is the same lady I had just helped inside the store I am so overwhelmed it seems I have never ever been so happy meeting a stranger for a second time me begging ma'am if you could just explain cop interrupting cop shut up you dirtbag do you even know who she is she is our honorable ex-mayor turning to her cop you don't know him Amelia he's been caught red-handed lady sharp again Ben did you give this gentleman a chance to explain his side of the story cop we're going to record his statement at the bureau now it seems she's not happy with his response she gives a very annoyed look lady annoyed again Ben again same things I think those two had a history over the way the cops functioned he listens patiently as she continues lady we've been over this Ben still did you witness the fight or any part of the fight cop no but there were multiple witnesses including the manager of the store who saw him and then one of the customers came forward and confronted him by the time we reached him he was already restrained by the public now the store manager has also kicked him out lady shaking her head and speaking in a harsh tone but he is a customer not a working staff I mistook him for one of the staff but he politely declined being one and still offered me help despite being busy with his own work and after that he moved back where he caught up with two of his friends and I moved on with my work me impulsively but they are not my friends I've never ever met them before in my life even they mistook me for a staff and even hurled abuses at me lady are they still inside cop yeah everyone is still in there now we move back into the store and this time my face is not covered with my hands I can see an enormous gathering with the store manager giving some set of instructions to the staff the cops are still there and the be with her bulldog boyfriend is sitting on a bench as we cross the store manager he gives a puzzled look and then whispers something into the ears of one of the staff the staff members are equally puzzled seeing me the cops are also puzzled seeing us come back into this door the couple is puzzled seeing the puzzled faces of the people in short everyone is puzzled except me I can see that each one knows only that part of the incident which they have been a part of all this bafflement has made the scene somewhat funny and humorous now as the officers noticed the ex-mayor they all greet her appropriately and then she asks an officer to uncuffed me but he politely declines stating that he would do it after I am found not guilty then I am allowed to speak and I present my version of the story hearing my part of the story that B stands up from her seat and shouts rude lady you cunning scoundrel how did you ever think anyone is going to believe you're part of the story you've made a fool of yourself now turning her face towards the manager of the store who is now trying to hide his face behind one of his staffs rude lady make sure this fool does not get a job anywhere in this town or I'm gonna drag you into legal manager squeaking but ma'am he's not one of our staffs he's a customer he doesn't work with us now and it's never worked even in the past it was an epic moment all this drama all this nuisance was worth the 10 seconds look on her face I could clearly see what she was thinking she knew the tables had turned and everything every single bit of this incident was jumped on her head so was the look on her boyfriend's face as well as the face of the manager he was dumbfounded and was standing in a corner watching the incident suddenly one of the cops start shouting at the manager cop are you a complete idiot don't you know who is your staff and who is not this could have stopped Midway had you stated that the guy's not one of yours then he moves towards me and starts to uncuffed me but a second cop stops him cop too although he's not staff he still faces charges of sexual harassment and violence me but I didn't make any advances why don't you guys listen to me cop sir we need you to remain silent ex-mayor lady have you guys checked the CCTV footage did you take a copy of it cop um-hmm actually we've just taken the statements from the eyewitnesses we would send somebody to get the copies collected later cop to serious tone we know how to carry out our investigation we don't need you to supervise us it's our duty now the kind of influence that this ex-mayor lady has on cops clearly show that she would have been a pain in the a for the cops ex-mayor lady stern voice watch your tone David don't you dare talk to me like that I will come along to watch the footage also David we will have a discussion later I will see to it we can clearly make out the anger from the face of the lady she is really peeved off with David the cop now I am also called in for examination of the footage sadly these guys don't have a microphone installed for recording the audio so I explained the conversations as it proceeds there is nothing fishy in the video I can be clearly seen trying to walk out of the situation on multiple occasions but to no heed after the video is over there is another drama I won't explain in details the route B tries to play I am having a stroke Act which fails miserably finally they are caught multiple charges of assault misleading the law misuse of sexual harassment policy defamation and whatnot are pressed on them however their friend who punched me walks out free I don't know how but he does the store manager is also slapped with a small fine for their negligence but on my request they drop the charges on the store manager the store offers me multiple gifts and offers but I politely refuse them all except just one which was irresistible I won't disclose that the ex-mayor lady takes my number and I am invited for a Christmas party to her lavishing farmhouse now the incident has been just over a year and I am still in contact with her and she is contesting elections for the next term I hope she wins this year Christmas invitation has also come to me thanks for listening to this story goodbye
