Playing as Shadow Luigi, Daisy, and Captain Toad in Super Mario 3D World

[Music] here's super mario 3d world but some of the characters are going to be a bit different so let's get started as you can see mario looks pretty normal here instead of peach we have daisy instead of toad we have a very large captain toad and instead of luigi we have shadow luigi from bowser's fury they could still build this pipe pretty normally nice we have daisy clapping in the background there the giant captain doe just looks a bit out of place this is funny i really like this oh something's up with daisy here to the side daisy goes in first mario jumps in after giant captain toad after and shadow luigi is kind of funny to see shadow luigi helping these guys out there they go down the pipe and something's up with daisy something's sticking out of daisy from the side here look on captain toad's face there oh my goodness and here we go we are playing as shadow luigi to start the game oh this is pretty cool so here we go let's go to an actual level and let's see what it's like to control shadow luigi i actually haven't played the switch version of super mario 3d world yet i've done a lot of modding and hacking videos of the wii u version so let's see what the switch version's like [Music] let's see can we get a cat power up i'm not sure if we can whoa that's so cool i didn't expect that to work okay so that's really cool so cat shadow luigi has been modded into the game wow that just looks evil and menacing with the red eyes let's continue through the level there goes cat shadow luigi through the pipe and let's see what happens let's take some damage let's see if you could become little shadow luigi i'm also curious about that oh my goodness it's like if luigi was in the movie the matrix that's what this looks like look at his red eyes secret agent luigi oh my goodness the red eyes makes him look so cursed oh man i wasn't expecting a little luigi to jump out of the level i was expecting a regular shadow luigi i forgot that we look like this alright let's go to the next level let's play as a different character for this level so this is a really cool mod princess peach was replaced with daisy so instead of playing as princess peach when you choose princess peach you play as daisy look at that that's pretty cool this is nice for all the daisy fans out there pretty cool to see what it would be like to play as daisy in super mario 3d world you know so she has all of the same mechanics as princess peach right now like we could do the floating like this just like princess peach because right now the game is acting as if we are playing as princess peach it's just that the models for princess peach have been swapped with daisy so that's why it looks like we are daisy right now [Music] all right let's finish off this level with daisy and let's see what happens when daisy gets the flag oh and in some parts her models are a bit weird like we could see this thing just sticking out of the side of her dress like this [Music] but there we go wow daisy has completed the level what do you guys think of this daisy would you prefer playing as princess peach or daisy let's play as shadow luigi again [Music] shadow luigi can take out these guys no problem [Music] so weird to see shadow luigi spinning like that it just looks out of character he's supposed to be an evil guy and he's like spinning around and jumping like hooray i got the green star pretty cool to see shadow luigi in the overworld map like this this is really cool to see i like this this is a really nicely done mod all right mount beanpole let's give captain toad some love we haven't been playing as captain toad this is so cool look at this i love him he looks quite large i think he's larger than normal he's very fast [Music] wait is he different as a cat oh he has a cat tail okay otherwise he looks pretty similar though he's so fast that it's actually difficult to control man some people were telling me that they did speed up captain toad in this version of the game oh my goodness [Music] okay i was actually able to save myself there somehow it's actually pretty incredible how fast captain toad is in this version of the game if this is actually difficult to control that's how fast this is i'm struggling to control this tote is this how fast toad normally is in the game because toad is fast in this game he's almost so fast that it's difficult to control oh my goodness like look at this hooray we got all the green stars captain toad is such a great adventure and he's also a cat right now look at this look at the little captain toad cat i just look at his little tail there that's such a funny detail otherwise he doesn't really look that much like a cat he just looks like a regular toad that for some reason is standing on all fours [Music] captain toad is fast [Music] and he can climb up the pole as a cat his tail goes through his backpack a little bit because captain toad normally isn't supposed to be a cat so that's kind of funny okay and let's try playing a bit as mario i know that mario is slightly different here oh my goodness look at the cat mario the cat mario is very different than the cat mario that we normally have i want to get the fireplace to see what fire flower mario looks like [Music] maybe his hair looks darker does his hair look darker than normal i'm not sure and let's turn into a cat mario just in case [Music] yeah but there we go cat mario was able to finish off the level this looks kind of weird it's like he's wearing a cat suit but he wants to hide it that's why he has his hat on top but he has his tail sticking out all right let's do world 1-4 plessy's plunging falls well let's give shadow luigi some more love we haven't played as shadow luigi in a little while oh man it is so weird to see cat shadow luigi what about fire flower shadow luigi oh this is just like regular shadow luigi except he shoots fireballs that's pretty cool what if this was a boss in a mario game there is shadow luigi who took control of plessy and then you had to race against shadow luigi i'm giving nintendo ideas right now i'm not sure if it's just me but it seems like plessy is slower in the nintendo switch version than in the wii u version and here goes shadow luigi down the pipe shadow luigi ready to head on to the goal it's a bit weird controlling shadow luigi it's like imagine controlling shadow mario from super mario sunshine the red eyes just make him look so evil this doesn't look like a character that you should control okay and we have enough green stars to continue on so let's head on through here the gate has been destroyed we have infiltrated the world one castle we're going to bowser's highway showdown and who is doing this none other than the great captain toad oh look at him look at him what uh what a little nice toad look at him go gotta show captain toad some love oh and this is fire captain toad that's why he has these colors whoa oh there's a block here oh it's just coins oh wait what if we turned into little captain toad wow little captain toad is this red color that's interesting okay in my zero gravity mod of this game we could just fly past the entire level we could steal that green star from those goombas without them without them even noticing really all right and here goes cats captain toad ready to take on bowser [Music] let's try this even if you jump off to the side there that still triggers this cutscene that's so funny i bet we're just going to show up on the bridge once this cut scene finishes let's see there's bowser's scary roar and look we're on the bridge why is he doing this look at bowser's ai he's just like shooting fireballs right in front of himself wow it's the fairy well captain toad is the collector of not only green stars but also he is the rescuer of fairies we got a golden toad flag up here and we've got cat captain toad who happily saved the green spricksy i believe these fairies are called sprixies is that right wow look at that toad what a happy toad i love the smile on the toads face there if you swap the two and the nine in this clear score what value do you get look at this it's a littler captain toad and a larger catch captain tone so you guys know how king kong versus godzilla is coming out soon or is that already out this makes me think of that this giant tone so here's the giant cat toad chasing the little toad the little toad is running away from the giant cat toad you might be wondering what happens if we start this level i'm guessing it's just going to be we play as just the regular captain toad and this captain toad hasn't been modified so we just play as just regular captain toad here there's nothing special about this captain toad well there it there are things that are special about this captain toad this captain toad is a great toad but there's nothing unique about him compared to the regular game in this mod this captain toad hasn't been modded is what i mean to say but he is a very special toad just look at him look at what a special and precious little toad he is and this part of the game where you move around and you play the captain toad levels and you have to collect all of the green stars here this was honestly one of my favorite parts of the game i love these captain toad levels they're so unique and they're nice little puzzles they're such a fun thing to include in this game man these characters were really sped up in this game mario is so fast here that he's almost scary to control it's like mario is trying to hide that he's not cat mario just look at him we know that you are cat mario your hat isn't hiding your cat's suit mario it's luigi time are you serious luigi makes an evil sound when he pushes against a wall i remember getting this during my sonic mod playthrough of this because i kept dying no shadow luigi clears the course look at him just sliding down the pole is weird you wouldn't expect that shadow luigi would behave this way you wouldn't think that shadow luigi would be happy to work together with mario and others okay we haven't played as daisy in a while so let's give daisy another shot as you can see right now it's fire princess peach that's because for the daisy mod a mod hasn't been created for i believe for any of daisy's power-ups yeah so if we get a cat suit or something then we just become regular princess peach it's only the regular princess peach that has been replaced with daisy all of princess peach's other power-ups are just the power-ups that princess peach would normally have it's only the normal princess peach that has been replaced with daisy wow look at our little mario with his overall and his shirt colors switched all right we're at the double cherry level let's get a bunch of agent luigis oh there we go now we have two regular shadow luigi's and another double cherry there we go we've now got three shadow luigis it's like some kind of dance routine the way that they're spinning past each other it's like these luigis are doing synchronized swimming hey there we go we've got another shadow luigi this game is called luigi's fury oh my goodness and another one shadow luigi where is the regular luigi and what have you done with him captain toad is just ready to be shot out of a cannon normally he can't even jump in the game but now he's happy to be shot out of a cannon he's pretty powerful with his fire flowers i wonder why he isn't so willing to help in the regular game if he's this helpful with fire flowers we didn't really get to see much of captain toad at this level because he's wearing this block over his head and finally captain toad loses the helmet [Music] oh there i just noticed there's a little retro luigi right there i never noticed that before that's a really interesting place to put it yeah so this game has a bunch of retro luigi's hidden in certain places but i never noticed that one right there wow captain toad has rescued yet another sprinxy captain toad just looks so large to me in the overworld like look how big he looks compared to this block he just looks huge captain toad looks like a professional figure skater look how quickly he is spinning how do you not get dizzy from spinning like that that is ridiculous how quickly they are spinning the thing that sticks out of daisy's side is really long right now so here's daisy swimming this is what it looks like when daisy swims oh cool there's a retro luigi right there in the pipe that's kind of funny okay the bullet bill express let's do this one with shadow luigi okay now shadow luigi is getting shot out of a cannon that's kind of funny to see too i really like seeing captain toad get shot out of the cannon but i also like seeing shadow luigi getting shot out of the cannon yes a new power up wow that's such a cool one to see us shadow luigi [Applause] [Music] i should have come here with captain toad then we could have had captain toad rescuing captain toad [Music] okay now captain toad is getting shot out of the cannon again looks like that is a recurring theme in this episode we are just repeatedly shooting captain toad out of cannons okay now it's time for captain toad to rescue himself hey wait a minute you're me but i'm you but you are me anyways take this star so it looks like captain toad is about to rescue yet another spricksy but not only is captain toad rescuing sprixies captain toad is rescuing himself earlier in this level captain toad rescued himself and captain toad was so surprised the captain toad rescued captain toad that captain toad gave a green star to captain toad such a good song oh no captain toad looks scared okay that should be it like how mario's just repeatedly bouncing on him right now we can tell that your cat mario you might be trying to hide it but we can all tell can you walk on the spikes when you're invincible you can luigi just looks so evil like this with the fire burning in the background this is scary just look at the little red eyes on luigi he looks so evil here even in the overworld and one last cool power up here is with mario if you get the boomerang power up then you end up being a hammer bro and you can throw hammers i thought that was a really cool power-up in this mod and i hope that you enjoyed watching this video thank you so much for watching to the end of the
