I swapped random files in Super Mario 3D World and got strange results...

[Music] today we push the limits of super mario 3d world modding by randomly changing files in the game seeing what strange things happen and things get very strange very quickly so right now we've got luigi right well let's see what happens if we click try again let's see what character we're going to have when we reload this course and here we go my goodness this is certainly an interesting mario that we have here so it looks very similar to the shape of luigi but we could very clearly see that it's mario's head it's the colors of mario but the way that he moves around is in fact very very strange let's try this look at this now this mario is moving around like princess peach look at this little dainty walk and look at how the eyes are missing this is so creepy and look the run it's just like princess peach but thankfully when we go to get a cat shine the game just crashes so thankfully we don't have to keep looking at that all right let's do this let's change every value in the game's memory that is currently luigi to rosetta which is the name of rosalina alright we have luigi walking around like this look how properly luigi is walking around luigi is looking at this garden and judging it doesn't luige normally do a flutter kick or something his jump looks quite strange this isn't how luigi normally jumps is it let's see what happens if we take damage [Music] this little luigi walking like this looks even stranger i think maybe mario doesn't reach the ground so i can't exit coors yeah he can't choose exit course here so i actually have to finish the course with this mark oh my goodness this long mario looks so strange going through the pipe this just looks wrong mario isn't supposed to look like this look at mario this isn't what mario looks like mario just looks so much more lanky than usual look at him what if we take damage let's see what happens we take damage yeah then we we look a little weird what flag will come up and the luigi flag comes up right because we are luigi right now this is very clearly luigi where are we going to be in the overworld once the map loads oh and the game crashes of course all right here's toad toad looks fine just regular looking toad right here okay toad's looking pretty normal what if we reload the level let's see if we'll get anything let's see if we transform the toad into mars oh my goodness oh my goodness where is the rest of mario we are like just mario right now okay let's we have to go on to plessy like this i have to see what this will be like oh my goodness it's like mario's head is part of plessy mario and plessy are now one it isn't very obvious that mario is just ahead right now okay and there you go mario helps out plessy plus he says goodbye to mario mario continues down the pipe or mario's head i should say [Music] oh my goodness look at the head the head just slides down the pole [Music] wow mario looks so happy that he completed the level okay so we now have peach at switch scramble circus but now we are going to change a lot of these values to luigi and let's see what happens why is peach walking like this why it's like she's just stuck this is like a haunted peach oh you can see her legs oh my goodness you can see her legs sticking out through her dress when she floats like this look at peach just kicking her legs out like that through her dress oh my what what whoa whoa whoa whoa what was that okay well peach is gone now maybe it's oh never mind she's back i was gonna say maybe it's for the better that she's gone i don't know what happened there but i guess we'll carry on yes this is how i walk this is how princess peach normally walks very very normal walking from princess peach right now just look how normal that looks this is how princess peach looks nothing looks off about this at all oh my goodness what is going on oh my goodness why does that keep happening [Music] [Applause] yes oh look how normal her legs and arms look right now oh this is because she's pushing against a wall right now i think oh wait no she could push against the wall normally but like this whoa your legs are getting quite long there [Music] i don't know why so okay [Laughter] princess peter's just dancing right now look at this dance thing this is amazing sometimes it's so normal but sometimes it's so strange like look at this it's like princess peach is kind of t-posing right now but it looks like oh she's gone she's back [Music] there we go it's princess peach look everybody this is so cursed those look like bones that are sticking out my goodness this is really something how did we get to this assortment of princess peach let's get this flag and the flag turned us back to normal besides the leg that's sticking out of the front of the dress we're normal right now [Music] hands up princess peach keep your hands up i'm having so oh my goodness i'm having so much fun with this that i forgot that this is actually a level and there's a time limit here oh great yeah amazing princess peach is now a spider you now have spider princess peach maybe now that princess peach has all these legs maybe she'll now be able to walk around more quickly let's just finish off this level okay we've got an invisible princess peach but lots of shadows around and let's just head into the pipe here oh my goodness princess peace would just like to speak with you the narrator says she did not just want to speak okay somehow i'm up there i wonder whose flag is going to show up once we complete the level or if the game will just crash let's see oh we actually get the princess peach flag oh my goodness her face and her legs sticking out of the dress are both so weird okay what if we take peach at bowser's highway showdown and we replace a bunch of these files with rosetta who is rosalina if we reload the level this happens peach is invisible and she's making no sound right now it's really weird playing as an invisible princess peach maybe that could be an interesting video playing super mario 3d world but all the characters are invisible it's actually difficult you don't know where you are like when you jump you can see a bit of the dust the hardest thing about this is you don't even hear the sounds that your character makes [Music] oh okay apparently i kicked that soccer ball oh my goodness i nope looks like it's like little rosalina's here after all i don't know why she's in the ground like this but that made my character not invisible suddenly it's strange just seeing rosalina's head sticking out of the ground here there we go we got bowser and let's see whose flag will appear oh it's princess peach's flag [Music] that's kind of weird really weird seeing characters slightly under the level like this if you are interested in
