producer there's people that make beats and there's people that produce this is the producer's producer then he's converged on into being an artist and he conquered that and he he can work from you to only focus on one thing because they feel like you know they only want you to pay attention to their interest right and eventually you know the the the these people in senior league leadership positions of these companies recognize that these other potential revenue streams for these artists could also be you know uh contributors to the marketing to their partnership um but you saw this early you were on this early i remember when you were talking to me about it like yeah you know i'm thinking about going into this thing like i got this idea i got this concept i used to always have a camera i didn't know why i still always have a camera so that was like the prediction my point is you were one of the first to do that make some noise and and and you stayed focused until you realized exactly how you could like you know grow the audience and monetize it and i think that's a that that's beautiful and i want to also say that i am grateful that you would even you know that i'm even and i never looked at popcorn as a bad thing in my life he said it's popcorn and i was like what but he meant pop music he said he said he said i want to tell you a story nori so he said if i cut you my influence being out there more like with the way i dress and you know just like you know like swagging and like saucing on other people's records and [ __ ] the market started to warm up and pretty much the gatekeepers the anrs had to it had to be their idea first when i was presenting and it was like remember like i'll never forget your manager rest in peace love uh baby chris man i'll never forget like one day i was just like rapping so long just kind of you know because at the time i could also like freestyling [ __ ] and i was freestyling and then they like picked up the phone call great rock acts were there and that's so it's like after we did the police album um and she came out and she was a she was a success um we felt like they felt like you know well what about you guys why don't you guys make a record i was like well i don't want to make a record called the neptunes at this point we're known as production like we need to be something else and that's when no one ever really dies was born which was nard but you don't to a certain extent you thought that was capping like calling yourself nervous because yeah you're really not a nerd no but i but when i think of nerds if you think about it right it's an acronym which is no one ever really dies right you know the revenge of the nurse those guys were horn dogs yes they were bad they were horny dudes bro all we wanted to make sure that we gave them a platform to build the you know a great choir that pulled from all of you know newport news hampton uh newport news hampton norfolk virginia beach uh portsmouth um chesapeake suffolk to pull them all in to get the best people who could arguably all sing lead if they wanted to but have to work within the confines of being a choir and not being the one to sing the lead so being so good that you're able to be humble and can be part of something bigger than yourself so that was uh voices of fire goddamn make some noise for voices thank you that's
