[Music] what a good be Hillbillies for the sube this is your boy and oh whatever DJ efn and this [ __ ] doing test [ __ ] yappy hour when we started this show we said we wanted to give people they flowers why they can smell it trees why they can hell them they thought what they can think of and they drinks where they can drink her we also want to salute our legends legends and people who've been in this game for 10 years or more because so many people when we were you in this game after you have 10 years or more they want to say you washed up I say you old but these people out here that's out here flourishing like the person that we're talking about right now from Calliope projects to Richmond California selling out his own his own trunk of his car showing making other black people and other are chirpin or successful to in the laying it down this is the first wheels coming from New York we didn't understand like this guy who is this guy with the ice-cream truck in on all this and he kept he still relentless he's still out here giving people day flowers he was mid torment from people's like Nipsey Hussle Tubbs Kodak black he has so many artists he's dropped so many albums I remember going broke one year because every year every week that [ __ ] drop that out when I was like goddamn it keep up and it's in case you don't know what I'm talking about [ __ ] master of Pete but by the way I don't know if you know you one of my favorite entrepreneurs I appreciate it like oh where you come from and how you orchestrated what you did I believe even have baby on here and here he gave it up to how much like he had to look at you first because you was the first one to do how did you develop like that independent mind state when I grew up in the project with live with my grandparents so they had 12 kids in the house me and my brother made 14 so 16 people in a three-bedroom project and I'm like whatever I do I got to make some money that we all could eat like I couldn't just have no regular job like I've never had a bed till I went to college people don't know even though I come from the streets I play basketball basketball got me to college came back home hustle after I got hurt did what I had to do and from there I said I never be broke again I go back to that type of life but I got to get out and do something I got a hustler I got a grind and when I got opportunity I said I don't want to live like this no more on the streets I got to do something legit and that's how I got into the music business after watching Little J I people not went to Houston University Houston play basketball over there and I seen little jaywalking from rap a lot hey Prince I've seen him walk in the club I was in with a man coat on fly I said man what you do Houston is hot as hell yeah you know inspiration you yeah yeah you know in all uncle Luke on the loop I've seen that like them being from the south everything was about the West in the East Coast and I say man if my my house I gotta hustle for the south and nobody knew about New Orleans at that time you know and I just went home I mean living in Richmond for a little while got a chance to see Oakland and San Francisco seeing how they hustle in the bay you know they were heavy and my og was st. Charles II for the hunger so he showed me the game Wow and when he showed me the game I took it back to the south you know you know my home is in Richmond man I love him I respect them for opening doors I mean they was they was on the crime and you had you had guys like JT the Bigga figga you had a rbl posse had this guy named Hernan Luke that really was out there you know we went to eat for days and the two shorts and I had a record slope you know not with 19 years old with a record stuff was family member you but it's actually it was yours you opened it so I was too young to have right my people don't know my parents was still in New Orleans but you had to be 21 because you know you sold like the naked movies and stuff in record stores like it so I opened the store always tell a guy to distribute I said man look I'm picking up the music from my daddy so he always give it to me you know so I was I made it happen from there to where I did that on my own you know and it was a family but it took a couple people you know I had a good team right so how old are you when you're opening 19 yeah 19 when I opened a record store come on make some noise for that goddamn it yeah I had everybody coming through there from 2 pi to I mean every artist from the bait they came through that though and that was in Richmond that was in Richmond California Richmond I seen the snow called Jones and Harris but they sold they sold or and being gospel and I said man ain't got no hip-hop in here there's nowhere I found I found a little spot open it up you know and went from there to where I like invest my money into it but I had 10 grand for my for my all grand for the settlement and just man invested back in the Stokes slepping a stoked I made some money so people always think you gotta have a lot of money you don't have to have a lot of money right you know I'm saying I had really nothing like winning that deal what I need to do a lot of vision a lot of it like I ever tell you about the power of words so you know my you speak negativity negativity to come I said it's gonna be no limit to my success I named myself master P because I'm a master what I do you know what I'm saying and I'ma give back to my community about making that's funny because that's my next question I was actually my first question was did you ever receive like flack for calling yourself master like you know I'm saying like you know um you know cuz you I give you product when you was coming from like the Masters of the that the music but you know the word master or like you know when we think of that we didn't in the cell know I mean when I hit masters golf I think slave ship well you know sometime in life man like I say I just I was looking at it as just master what I was gonna do mmm you know and I'm saying like whatever I do it no matter Nardo yeah yeah like you got to be an expert at whatever going to do to win people are understanding business you know you have to be an expert the ones who don't win okay so you you're from Richmond California bouncing around but you say you're gonna start your label in New Orleans yeah so you want to go back and now you had me an ex you had Cain and Abel you have skullduggery you had these people all you so what story was already called No Limit right yeah the snow was called no lemon Rick oh so it was a retail store right and so when I got into the music business before priority you took me time before all those girls before oh okay you know I end up so people don't know like god I had a deal that first they offered me a deal with Jimmy Iovine it was a million dollar deal Wow cuz she was already more than Interscope already yeah cuz so this is the beginning energized Dell what does the beginning they had sugar and puffs right at that time they said you sign this deal with us then we'll had a South where the streets and I was in there with cement see you know see what like take the million now let me say see chomo consumer yeah my brother okay say take the million dollar I say nah man I'm gonna go get some lunch I told I told you I've been get some lunch I've come back he said if you don't come back you'll never get a deal in this town so I left me and C on the plane bout to fight we won't start was that loud thank God no what did you eat for lunch peanuts in in a coke I'm saying I'm mixed I'm now next to see it he made because he's gonna take the money like Brooke if this white man offered me a million dollars he don't know me how much you think of work yeah it's 19 20 30 40 knowing I'm sayin and that's what managing you that's when we just got quiet and said Miller's going back to the project and do what we got to do and I just start selling CDs at the trunk of my car moving from city to city I went to New York to Chicago Texas everywhere you know pushing Sini's where those Bloods and Cripps I meant one neighborhood in Arkansas I got a I got a blue shirt on there's a blood neighborhood and they said what you're doing I said man look I'm from Louisiana dull I'm selling CDs $20 he's 18 I mean you can't come back over there I said man I ain't no bro he said I got ten I said give me ten man so that's how hard I was putting the posters on my own man you know I get it I was in New York and hauled him in though I'm putting up a poster the dude said man that's you I said nah man we all look alike so cuz I've know if I pay somebody hey I was gonna just throw my posters away well I couldn't compete with like a biggie or Tupac it was just too big they was everywhere so I'm like I had to go do this on my own I shoot guys I'm I mean I'm in Brooklyn shooting dice playing basketball so I beat I beat him in basketball make a cover dies and I shoot dice and I'm back in my car and I sell CDs let me head back home so that's that's really high like New York really start taking told of me from the South because they really wasn't listening to certain here pal we were always and I'm from New York so I can say this we will always run into record labels so it was amazing to see a person like you know I'm saying and say hey do you have like a 70/30 or 80/20 deal with 8515 know my friend dave winer yeah from party he he was that strange I mean he saw made it a strange uh-huh and he was telling me about when he first came across you and he had to go back to the yeah we can't just give this guy so he come back trying to give me a couple couple years and I'm like man look I finally say man you know you keep coming back who is you man I'm from Prada records I said man come on man but I knew it was like I and I told him I said people don't know sometimes you gotta invest in yourself yeah so I went to Michael Jackson a turn so you got everybody want to be in the music business what you need to know your business at that time of business or the music yes I went to Michael Jackson was the highest paid entertainer at that time at 22 percent of record and I said I went to his attorney said man if I'm gonna say now it'll cost you $25,000 that's his attorney told you that's his retainer or just to sit down sit down III can't afford this [ __ ] still I give him the 25 I won't sit down with him he said man look the only way you're gonna get a deal bigger than Michael Jackson as a distribution deal it is a 8515 deal but then you gonna have to come up with about 200 or 300 thousand dollars that's ladies project no we just say that what you need for marketing okay if you gonna get that deal I'm like dude that's gay you're 25,000 and tell me I need 200 to 300 thousand but this is probably the best 25 grand I spent in my life Wow because after that that's all I want I wanted a distribution there every rep company that came at me say that one a distribution didn't win when Froy became you know they said if you gonna pay them marketing alright I'm gonna give you that deal and that's what happened I ended up I ended up making more money than the record company Wow so so from us in New York at the time right yeah we had heard the records but we didn't we didn't get to see the visuals what took us over was the movie yeah now the mouse bout about it this was because we only heard yeah how crazy the South is like we didn't really know like we didn't know know until we see ya I'm bout it bout it what made you even think of that what made you say you know what I'm I'm ah I'm a film myself cuz you did this all on your own yeah like this we consider first like hip hop in the movie yeah I believe so I believe this is before streets is watchin yeah no definitely I mean this cross group and things like that but that wasn't independent and it wasn't by the artists for that like it was you know you just think was FUBU early yes so how did you sitting around watching Scarface and said I'm gonna do this [ __ ] to so I was I watched a lot of movies that I felt like even now that we don't own them so you know at that time I made independent filmmaker they yes Spike Lee was like man P don't make no real movies he'd make Street movies but that's all we knew this what we come from I was movie does yeah so but they take my body there's nobody from the streets of it took it to say this show the world how real it is in these streets instead of killing each other up this coming together I know what my whole thing was you know I want to show my community the hood where I come from and then one day I want to be able to be the person if I do our own movies and finances we don't get the bigger cut from and one day I want to be able to you know be somebody somebody to say oh man that dude brought the projects has something to do with helping the projects go off you know when bout it came out every Street in New York City was torn the [ __ ] yeah I'm sure out here my am charlie came from the army with that video you gotta watch this listen it was this dissing are Kelly take was the [ __ ] bootlegged in the hood yo bout it but I definitely didn't have a real copy to later on in life from just be honest I had a bootleg good but that's how ill it was who was still in my bootleg [ __ ] was in the first time I seen well we see other than Outkast other than Outkast cuz you know what I'm saying I mean visually seen like like like read it visual of the south like yeah but people didn't really like like except we didn't know what the [ __ ] was going on in the south Outkast I mean at the time the ghetto boys was big but they wasn't connected during the East Coast mmm you know they wasn't it wasn't connected like I looked up to them guys to where they made great music but it wasn't club music right so it was like more of the vibe you know mind playing tricks on me I'm not I'm saying no this week man you know a lot of people that's I tell people all the time man we don't appreciate the ones that paid the wait and we don't get cuz like you say they say oh they done but they don't know the real stuff people are doing for the community like for me it's a blessing to be able to come out those projects man and to be able to be a part of rebuilding the projects so people don't know this man in 2009 there was trying to get rid of the Calliope projects after Hurricane Katrina me and a guy I'm talking about the expert a black guy to understand development of buildings that's what we got to grow with this guy named kikis he don't get the proper respect you need to get but this guy helped me we raised 118 million to rebuild the Kelley your projects so they'll actually come from hip-hop today but today but by the way I don't know if you know I don't know if you know I went to the callee or one time to look for you up for some reason I had I thought that you guys would just be hanging out anyway it was so hot at the top I went there people I knew I was gonna get killed because I think it just looked at me he didn't say nothing I said let me get the [ __ ] about it yes well yeah so that's crazy you rebuilt and now is it gonna be like lucky we hold y'all see right now it's done took us a wildly so we had to do this to hub and a lot of people say oh so you keeping the whole like the residents in place oh yeah no it's done it's a we did it to her but it was stages to raise the money to be able to do this so this developer who I'm talking like from Pittsburgh this a bad dude you know me meaning his friends to be able to come from the projects and grow cuz he did it in Pittsburgh with his project oh it was like pee we could do the same thing in a Kelly oh I said man we need the boots because they was trying to get rid of it but I gotta tell people all the time man stop thinking about the small stuff we got to think about the big stuff that we do that we can do if we make it and be successful like nobody never gave me nothing man like even the drug dealers when they was there they all look man you know how to bag up then I'll get you this how you make your braids or whatever people not gonna give you nothing for us to be able to do this at that level and to rebuild it it's is incredible man like the be honest with you I don't I don't know if it ever been done with anybody in any hood to understand that part of the game I'd be crazy like nas go bak Queensbridge that's what you know what but we all need to come back together because now we know how to do it it's been the psychology you really bought back the hood that's hot yeah dad it's all cop again for that I'm sorry that's hard that is hard that is really man let me tell you something it feels so good to go back there and cut the ribbon to make this thing looks red it was a bit of red I mean come on I feel like it's really a sword okay but you know what be honest what your man is we aren't uneducated even though we come from the streets me going to college was probably the best thing happened to me to where I don't know a lot of stuff that I wouldn't do if I just made money cause anybody could get money you lose money get it come back if your hustle that's how I go my thing is I think the man up above or giving me a billion dollars worth of knowledge goddammit make some look let me let me just say so I just felt richer as he said that as he said that I felt me but let me let me change something a little bit right I think let's get into some of your um amazing I see I see um they said that two days before nipsey had passed away he was in a studio with you recorded on a record for I got the so let me let me tell you how this happened Nipsey is such a real dude me and him probably recorded over 17 songs Wow together like I I went to his hood because he was a stand-up guy they don't make them like that right rollin 16 I called Chris a lot of artists I'm working on I got the hook-up - mm-hmm you know how people man I'm gonna do it I'm gonna get it sniffs it's straight Big Dawg what you need damn so on here I'm ready to go I met nipsey true jewel oh I do from Chicago okay years ago okay load with 1500 rares man D some stand-up dude right ever since we've built that relationship Nipsey always ask me man how you do this how you do that now all wasted man look go do it let me show you the leader yeah okay here here hit the respect that he has for you yeah to his music yeah continue I'm so sorry yeah nah man it was it was a terrible loss for us so but we're here in the cars in the studio two days with no no even like we wasn't in the studio two days he sent the wreck as soon as I said look man I need a record oh okay BAM Wow but we've been in the studio a lot together ya see nothing for that we make we made a lot of records but that was like you know you hear some of these guys they act like but something about nipsey what I don't like about the situation okay the hood us killing each other yep we're gonna kill the people that's gonna put the bread in the hood and take away the main guys who else you want out you're gonna kill the plug for what because this man feeding family right you know what I'm saying why you working off another plug yeah how we gonna grow so you got to look at to the craziest thing Nipsey my biggest thing was with him that I told him his record when he was alive so 52,000 copies nothing past it sold millions why is that the same music now people running around bumping the music and doing that that ain't cool because this man had great music why he was a lot you know even BT I love being T I appreciate it but you showcase this man funeral would you showcase this man birthday party or where this fact let's be on it this man thought I was trying to get records on being T on the video say that about prodigy as well so continued prodigy I'm saying Bushwick I'm just saying yeah we need all these outlets but at least recognize we could do more if you did that that man probably wouldn't even been in this body it but well let me tell you something Master P that is the reason why we started this is yes you know why we we didn't realize this is gonna be a big platform we didn't realize he was gonna make it a television we just said you know what me and him we stubborn [ __ ] hip-hop people we're like you know what I'm mad that you know dad's Dylan's I got 12 years in the game and people say well something's you know you know he's not the guy no more and he's still making the same thing and the crazy thing is from the day one we started this all our fans have said masterpiece preaching the same thing on his Instagram so this is all I'm sorry I know but I'm gonna tell y'all that's the importance what we gotta do we gotta celebrate positive things right cuz you thinking about it after you get so phone you're gonna go out and do negative stuff cuz nobody see the negative they see the negative don't see the positive and that's what I tell my son I say Romeo you're the best thing that you could do is being straight and doing what you've got to do it's going it's gonna come back don't worry about this other stuff you gonna be big as anything in the world because you're doing right you know even though the system don't want to show like cuz you're in the hood and you knew I ain't gotta be a drug dealer I could go make money in the right way you're gonna go do it the right way unless whether that's you won't last long you won't live longer cuz you do it the wrong way you end up dead in the penitentiary you know some of us got lucky and escaped the light of this but everybody I got my brother dad I got a brother dating her brother the penitentiary so it is real rest in peace kappa yeah where was you at when you got the nipsey um sniffs e-news man I was I was I was filming and it just hit me hook up to yeah I was filming I was filming some more in Cali yeah I was in case oh your people don't know my basketball team is in that same neighborhood I've been having a basketball team for 19 years in that car yeah I don't know I had Brandon Jennings the more the roles and when he was in the seventh grade they come to my program so that same hood and that's right now I got the same team matter of fact my kids play for that team now I have a son that's in the 10th grade that's that's nice and basketball but he I make sure he played you know on that team on that countless soldiers team so he's there that team we practice at Washington High School is probably one of the most dangerous places but I always go there because I want them kids to see if I could make it out y'all can make it out and in the neighborhood respect the same thing back at home in New Orleans the neighborhood respected because they know I tell men I ain't there for the streets I'm there for the kids and a baby I don't hope nobody else not but I'm gonna come there for them kids in in the elderly so you know that's that's we've been doing that for 19 years man we gotta a couple guys in the intro right now but did you think it was like a woman when you heard like you got shot this all yeah so let me let me tell you something what's crazy long as long as I've been knowing nipsey I didn't even know he had a brother his brother twin yeah that's why I don't think the B I didn't know it so that's how you know man in black Sam really been holding it down for the family man you know that's when I finally say yeah man lo was like men you got a hide that black Sam man you know this [ __ ] real because I explore I lose like many yeah this [ __ ] real dough in man it's crazy huh that just it really told something out of me yeah me too cuz just do you know I'm up close hands with him yeah you see feel how pure he was yeah oh no I'm telling you man when this man so let me tell you how magnificent is right so we had just did that rap [ __ ] remix and me boo see Jeezy and I think all jay-z was supposed to be on and so we we just did that was about to shoot that video you know pretty soon you know it just was it's just like damn bro always the good ones that's really trying to do something and it's going you like what man maybe got shot it'll be over that's what I thought when I first already got shot I thought it it was it was daddy like he's gonna you know recover and hospitable guy yeah but but it's man but ain't gonna live man his death and brought so many people together I seen Bloods and Crips Walker that neighborhood and I know I'm the Latino all the lights up man - she knows loved him you know they love me they love my music man I I seen everybody come together cuz you know when everybody was desegregated like man care like it's real people don't know there was the only show I ever went through to eat that I pulled up and I seen every single gang and I was pulled out say oh [ __ ] I cool we got to be on point and then two minutes later there's like it's a shooting on the other side say that new habit yeah and I just left out because every single gang up to it kid you 9 they all saluted me there was no problem but that's what I'm saying he brung peace oh man let me tell you something did you a lot of him and you because in a lot of ways you did the same thing and look at one thing the one thing I wish I could have told them okay is how you got to get away from the neighborhood I was definitely close that you know for me I'd rather know my enemies because I play defense I'm gonna play defense that's just the way I go you know what I'm saying but you know what you get comfortable because at one time I got comfortable in my hood - well you know I know this is the safe zone for me no matter what I don't care where is that I know once I get to the hood I'm sure and you got to stop thinking like that once you get money to just do this to evilness I have the money being in the hood you let your guard down you let your go down but guess what everybody else don't have money right so you cheese for the rest that's what people don't realize I don't care how much they know you over the one time I'm in the hood man one of the home is said man why you keep coming around here I say what man I put this on the map but you're not oh cool I got it now and Cameron one I'm caring tuna and this be master p master jealousy is real I never actually nobody to do nothing for me give me like everything if I ain't got to do it then they don't need to be done all right the be honest which you know and I just think that we should give money you come from the hood it's not like how white people that have money to live you have to know how to survive with money as a black man coming from here pop look look look at all change drugs you show you familiar with that oh you know it's like sometimes I'm almond Jam Master Jay it's like yeah a lot of the times the rappers get killed in their own environment people who are willing because that's where they're most comfortable [ __ ] ballplayers look if you happen to make a republic your Big Papi out here smash another [ __ ] girls I love the poppy live into your zoo I read that I bet you somebody else man okay well let's talk about this rum best part is what we get on there I got a shout out to my boy Oh in the dr gates the miller y'all man them no let me soldiers over there man because you got a deal man my home is holding it down no yo let me tell you you got guns over just he stood around me say [ __ ] yeah the machine gun i said holy city let me say y'all about over there you'll be faster Dominican we just did a video over there yeah yeah we boo see over there man you got some big records over there man my arm is over there man true they holdin it down and they coming a the next up man David next up because they going hold how we went hard like they really want this music thing and I man I shot him out because I'm like man y'all y'all gonna do something that ain't been done international yeah you know international money now we also had snoop or here mm-hmm and snoops he broke it down he said man he looked at us for some reason like before his eyes looked at before the same time yeah he said a lot of people was frightened yeah yeah but when P yes fact he said yo and people was scared to death of sure he said no one would touch him at the pink he said death row like you know no not look when he was leaving that book he said nada not a soul yeah would have a meat they were scared to touch him like yeah chicken pops but they said master P came through like Superman black Superman in my opinion you had a black cape in my opinion did you have a purple one threats know you had a cakewalk like what I'm a man ago and I realized you don't need to fear no man but God so whenever we did that deal people don't know I went to visit [ __ ] was in prison at the time I went to visit him in prison nice stop right there we did wait a minute I don't think I've ever heard that part snoops and that on one o'clock out oh [ __ ] my bad let's keep going alright so I want to sit down will and I don't know who they say that okay alright continue ok so he uh he has some deals with snoop on the tapes mmm you know me I'm a country boy I'm like look do my money spent how much you got how much they gonna get you say told me the number I said well I'm gonna give you three hundred thousand more than whatever the deal you got on the table woo and that's what we did in the prison so you saw should like he saw pop he means well I'm saying well it wasn't like that it was like she wasn't [ __ ] was in prison right you know nobody's gonna say you did was should what she'll did the [ __ ] no I don't know about that pretty must be saying did you say should gave you the number yeah he he owned the company at the time Fox's thing it was the label yeah doing that yeah it wasn't hot dictating the number I thought it was parked to get out of that deal yeah you need money to get out of just so you so without this time good thing yeah so we did the deal hmm you know I think we probably have one situation with you with Cheryl yeah okay not maybe two and after that we handle it and then we had no more problem I want to get right back to that let me take let me tell you the craziest thing I'll tell you good we'll get back into that let me tell you the craziest thing one time this is what I knew like black companies is powerful I forget who it was was a Jimmy Iovine or Leo calls but week I was meeting them in Vegas and I met with him and he and they said yo did you just see how No Limit Records walked through and I said and I said no I didn't see them cuz I yeah anyways he said there was 24 every wonder what a diamond Rolex on it's the first time I ever seen and like this company was like great like no one's seen that before like eat on me well my thing my thing is with us man is about making sure your team he is grateful you know not after a while with people don't manage their money that's on them right no and I'm saying but I'm not one can't kick man yeah man I want my people to be straight I want them looking good but if you won't go just blow your money in the strip club well everybody money along you see that I did fit the first two people don't know that fifty first got in the game he'll tell you I paid for his tour mm yeah that's that's when that first record that was hot that he pull off so our club yeah I ran him to the south to everywhere like wow like yeah I knew he was gonna be a store know that's what was your first tour with POC yeah so I show people don't realize the story with puck so I had the store they'll come in my store and see me they know I was about having money so they invited me first just to come hang out go on the road and then by the time that you know you don't back then you don't get the money to you do the show or finish the show hmm so we always go shopping they know I had British I'll pay for everything then after the thing no price yeah so they were like ma'am you got to get Peter come out on a roll so that's how I really started it was like I didn't really know I could rap but I know I've been through so much and I really lived this I'm on the streets and this is what I do something like I'm like may not really live this so in the stuff I was saying you know you it's sadly it's for real something like I'd be out there on the bus saying some of this stuff even in my stove so people come in and Stowe and be like what helping that's on no like I was just saying you know lumps in and so that's how I really know that I could I could do it and so I started making little stuff and putting it out but then I went from opening up for pot cuz they donate after a while it was like pee you got a song now you open it what's the ice-cream man Yeah right right before I was doing the ice-cream man about about it yeah nobody people thought I was like you got mad I'm in the West Coast with death all right I got gold T Dre so I remember being out there man and I'm on the road so they bring me out before is the lights the water light so so the white guy always introduced me because I told my from New Orleans he said mr. Peter country singing I said no love man I'm really from the street so he ended up he fixed it but man I had I had one fan I had one dude in the audience just singing my music it in every Bibles wait man when we pocket oh I was like man I'm gonna turn that one fan in the millions and that's what I ended up doing man I went out through the audience like 20,000 people and shook this man hand and gave him a t-shirt so people don't know my whole marketing scheme would I had preciate you if you appreciate me yeah that's it so I end up I got everything that I hear I put out the No Limit t-shirt I don't care if your home is whatever every drug dealer hustle I see with a fixed up car give them a free CD you know I'm so know that's what my street team that was my marketing and so you gotta realize you got to start small man I started small now I appreciate them for letting me open up for how many shows you think you did with them I did a lot like I ain't counting on me they wanted me to come I don't care about the doing shows and not I was just on the bus it was that guy yeah so um so was there any flack I know we spoke earlier like after you science knew like after you saw like like when you came to Cali was they trying they're like yeah I got I got a phone call from shoot one time he was out of prison oh now y'all wit ya lick his name you gonna see I think people thought that Snoop was gonna come over and that was it but you brung you had a single with Dre on Yoli liquid dream yeah did that well that was crazy so so you got a call from silk did anything like transpire from that would well he'd say say Carol ain't big enough for me him and pop you know puff oh wow wow why I say when you're moving because I just bought a house so um you said you had that phone call yeah um was there any worries on your behalf because man I grew up in the gallery your bridge it ain't nobody gonna solve pressing me man all right I don't care who you is all right you know what I'm saying like i'ma work with you you another black man all right the be honest with you so when you go back and look at hot boys I got a little cousin this big we don't care about the size and none of that Lake all right Peter him man that name was for real people I'm doing and I think I probably say half of the people in hip-hop that you know mmm that I'm like nah man let these dudes make it and that's that's the thing that I don't understand about hip-hop right now like if it's big fist beat for real you know like and if it's not good it's not it's not like you know I'm saying I understand you know somebody might be offended I'm moving in I'm moving in a Hollywood man I'm not moving into your hood right so you should have no problem with me exactly those white people got business on every corner why we can't have it well we killed each other up for night didn't think I got em on that's the shoes and Minyard oh you know what I'm saying and you got you got a fancy word to go with me yeah yeah these [ __ ] beliefs yeah oh yeah but that's what I'm saying we don't own nothing so I didn't take that note to offense when she did that I just like maybe maybe he don't really know me right though I figure like if you take your time and we said I'd have a conversation you know right you know who I am right like I don't I don't disrespect people I say if you want to get respect you got to give it all right you know it just made me feel a little different about it like man you know if you won't do that you do that in person all right and then you and you ever connect for them whereas he came home like face-to-face alone oh I always that guy ever seen them at they they're okay you know I'm saying some of my people did okay but you know I told them we good all right it ended that it ended it cuz I already knew that that's how I go you know I'm saying maybe somebody I'm a man ago but i'ma hold my own you know what I'm saying so I know the devil is real that's what people got a real that right you know even you believe in go real if the gold is really lies no the Devils run so I'm like it just made me feel a different kind of way that I wouldn't it did that I would open up man come to Kerala it's enough rap a lot J all y'all come to Kerala man because this Hollywood just with money no like I just think if you look at it so he talking about shoes these companies on every cone in the same block Nike Adidas going going tomorrow yeah ain't beefing we don't need to be doing there that's what I want that's why I never said that to my want to tell it to him personally when I see him you know it reminds me of like because like I said we had a Birdman sit in the same chair and it was to Caleo gets the back Noah or something like that some I know your projects I mean people say that but though your marriages I'm gonna be honest with y'all okay my dad lived in a Calliope that's why I live in Kelly y'all heard my dad my mom and my dad split and I went to Cali yo my brother my sister they went to the Magnolia my mom lived in the Mack boat so I went to boat I went to both projects my mama got she moved in the house on Peniston Street right up the street from the Magnolia so I got family to Magnolia and family in the Calliope well so I mean I really it really wasn't no beef room with us you know it's just that because of amazi what you said hot boys earlier and you guys had a hot boys well my heart ball was a it was a different scene in the movie in the king of the south ice-cream man movie you don't like my cousin man he had a good heart but he just was he was about that life right so you know I almost lost my life with him Wow so god bless you know yeah I almost I almost lost my life with him as a kid and so he ended up going to prison and I ended up going to college souls yeah you know and man is but you gotta want to change all right so I let people know you won't see this in my movie but I know God had away from me that day so I'm thinking I want to be like hi boy my cousin he the man back there in the project where I live it I'm shooting dice I got like 1500 on me you know I'm Nicola diamond he the man he got about 20 30 genes on him I'm in high school this is my senior year so all the shooters a high schooler your goal is a little be 19 at that time for me that's what me and my brother go my brother died at 19 my homeboys that go to school with me eight of them jumped out of colors and said P you know what it is and ha boy he the man he said man what else I threw my money up in there I couldn't run they was trying to rob you said they come with it well with it it's falling Eastside we had a project shooting dice you only could run up the steps can you run that way they're gonna shoot you in the back or whatever cuz you don't try to run through the code way well I wanted to live I'll run up the steps where it's dark so I'm telling somebody throw me my gun tell me my gun I start grabbing the dough rattle on the dough and I lay it down they shoot up that dope my pop pop pop I come downstairs they hit hot boy eight times he's still living I'd hit a co-driver I run now instead of jumping the car take him to the hospital and I knew like God had something else for me but I thought I thought that was it I had to do what I had to do I've never seen them they went to school with me never seen how Boyd told me man go on to college you gonna be something you could be a star first day I got to college he called all a dough and he went to prison so after that I knew that God had a way for me that I needed to change my life and and and that's when I said I got to do something legit you know and I believe in that man up above man he he changed your life but you got to change your mindset a lot of us don't want to change our mindset we don't want to grow I don't want to get up out these communities but even if you're gonna stay there you got to be a better person especially if you have kids I think I think Romeo for me having him at 19 man I left I left the project I said man I got a son I'm going to Cali and I ended up in Richmond California so cuz of my son cuz I wanted to see him grow up and go to college I didn't want him to live like that all people are no Roma you're really from the gutter so all Roma your friends they monster monster day in Beverly Hills when we go back and see okay you know they needed a tow in prison Romeo friends so you know my friend went you know what I'm saying so that's when you that's when you got to really start looking at the people around you and figuring out how you could change them I have guys around me like now that I took from when they was young they hang with me like big court he'd been around me juggling my own big bars is like man I'm like y'all gotta make changes in your life if y'all want to be around and for us to see our kids grow you know from crazy you know to tweens is like Brooke get your real crew and you love them you know me and silk man we brothers we go through thicket real brother me and see we brothers all that fixed up they be talking about man see brother like I put my I pay for lawyers all these know people my lawyer you see will pay for my lawyer me my brother gonna get into we didn't see was a wild boy yeah I used have to tie see up after I beat him up with lil I got a big show tie him up cuz to my parents come you didn't we'll work it out but I love it man we'd see them miss he'll be mad at each other and beat somebody up the next five minutes get into it like but that's the way the old he always spoke let me tell you something Oh CY but see me see you see got a lot of love in this hole yes got a lot of love and it's all y'all don't realize man we got a lot of good brothers but you got to imagine how I go on the streets when it get really get real you know I stopped C from doing the lotta stuff major where you know and that's why that's why a lot of you don't like to be around me cuz I ain't no yes man eat my own family so they want me to be yet man do this you know like back in the days I don't know if you know what this rapper pastor Troy yeah so Miller pastor Troy be ready yeah okay so he made this I don't know pastor I've never met get the [ __ ] out that was supposed to be but check this out whatever right okay Gregory called me for the radio and say Greg Street yeah so he was like look Pete black blob blob was sit down and talk to you and waved a white flat say I don't know nothing about that I don't know the man like you couldn't you make you make records you got to know what you're dealing with right so I just say he said what can we do but I said just walk on the other side of the street you see I'm not looking for you and now that ain't me right I'm man ago but just like two mountains may not meet with two men will wow you know and that's like man you know you don't quote by the way you know you gotta know it was not what you got to know what you didn't see went holy fuzzy went to a concert he hit it went bad I think she probably got the wrong tool to do we thought was him you know what I'm saying so but he was on go p-- and i said see it could have got real and all the other dudes around from high bar the world i said it was like what's up with this dude i said man they do the rapping right they didn't be a rapper I never beefed on records I never wrote you but he was doing yeah he was yeah was the hottest thing out and he was just actually listened to now I'm thinking about it you actually listen to - he was like going at the tank but that was it he was gonna actually take he did he was specific with his dishes but not even think about it though I think he thought I was gonna rap backwards that's what he wanted no that's what he wanted and my belief yeah I don't I don't do that right I've never done that in the height of of everyone's thinking maybe because I'm Birdman also denied this but but maybe everyone maybe is it really was us but in the height of you guys both at the high reveal hmm No Limit yeah Cash Money we we looked like this is this is Tupac big all over again but it's even more personal because this is from the same city it's from the same town and some of the artists from opposite projects it was almost like wu-tang like teams yeah you know let me alone like in the video y'all let me tell you ourselves we a couple blocks up from each other what do you think if it was beef I like them do even though we just don't get out again that we don't get out like I don't fake it with people if I don't know you like hang out which I don't do this there's no so I don't I don't do that like do you see I showed them do every way I got out shout out to cares money man for doing what they gotta do I respect that they come from my hood I want to see them win I want to see them eat that's what we say why we can't be on every block like the gucci and facade she and all that [ __ ] man well [ __ ] right you know but the system wanna show that like anyway if you don't own your record company we killed each other for what I never seen nobody beef with Jimmy Iovine then the other dudes lyoko let's be honest I said Fleischer why do I never beef with them so actually jumps is anyway the money that they think in the music business now we still living off the money we had 20 years ago I don't have to do show we're not gonna do shows this be for what I won't pay it to me right now so I tell people when you're in the music business so y'all dealing with downloads and streams not right how you make your money so if you get a million downloads a million streams and a penny how much you in [ __ ] think about know how much yeah I have no idea in Maine when it was strange neither [ __ ] you got $10,000 so think about we sold a million records you know I'm gonna get 19 hours of record would please be honest be honest yes I'm saying why are we killing each other and you got a 360 deal so that's $10,000 you gotta split with the man who owned the company right let's be honest here leach other in you in most of the hood rappers right now it's not gonna get a million stream okay this behind it how many no name is gonna reach a million so they telling me so that's the reason why they still live in the neighborhood is they living but we can fix that we gotta start by owning stuff if we own it the money coming to us we don't need to do all that you don't have to go out and sell CDs either trunk of your call that got did this is all social media but social media is a gift and a curse you got the haters gonna shoot it down before you even get there know how to harness you you were working progress but you will let the haters stop you you know and that's what I'm saying man we got to know our business we don't have to go sell out so right now you know and that's the thing I was trying to do with Kodak not helping you even si so that this thing is a genie like every next question Oz mother axes never hears it but angle five not if you were to listen to what I say break it down alright this I want to say okay yeah so this word that the media takes Duffing broker's codec you know he a young dude he might say something but he might not say what but I love and respect Michael I want you to make it though okö I don't want you know that mistakes I made right so my thing was to him was like look if I go get this deal for you oh boy giving you a hundred grand right now I know the man will own the company I'm gonna get you a meal and you won't give me the same percentage you giving that dude I just want that just give me the same percentage that's so so I'm a black man you giving this white man the bread but I'm just saying I don't want your money but I'm gonna help you and show you what you need to do to get more money well and down the line don't give me nothing I fly you around do whatever but when it's time that we can make some money let me make a little break why not that's it but I think what people get it caught up at because they don't look at the big picture and even about giving back people try to come in and divide and conquer because I told them at the time I said with the backpacks yeah you know I call that gears I said there's new some backpacks do it in the Camellia you need to get out this what I've been doing this for 20 years right but us coming together and you as a youngster you don't have to worry about the man have to pay to get you out of jail you're making your own break and you're giving back to the community so let's change that mindset but you know you don't see that because soon as social media gets something they say a little part of it yeah take it out and mix it up and it ended it so you never know what really happened I never extra man for dying right what I gave I spent forty five grand in that community well I don't even know cuz I gave the kids my word that I'm gonna be there and I'm yeah it's so but I think what happened was the lawyer guy here you know with Kodak Toby said yeah big dog I want those it was some some kind of backpacks it's like am sports yeah I'm suppose but the dude got backpack for six dollars but it's not Jam sports you know what I'm saying but that's what he took number six down you can't get Jam supposed to sing that now if you go to the Chinese probably Louis you're gonna get a twenty five that's what I'm trying to tell you I say you know what since we promised the kids that I'm gonna get paid for it I skated the money but I wish him well and he a good do but at the same time this for the system do they play on us while we get in trouble so they pay our bill get us out of jail make them think they really with us but you really spending your own money so don't be afraid to audit them so that's my thing nothing to the youngsters don't be afraid to order these people let me go order them to see how real they do what you need to order me for I'm saying cuz that's a that's that's this man business no you know let me tell you something I'm gonna be honest with you what you saying is the most genius thing ever but you have to be at least like in your 30s to comprehend but that's why they bring people around us to help you do that like this that's why we train you guys see the eyes right now the lights getting Dubey that's my og okay if he takes the chance down right Tilly's big cuz I know he gonna leave me right so my question to you is did Kodak have any old G's around him that you could have talked to because you know that the thing about it is like I like like I'll give you a great example right but when I first started doing reggaeton I was telling these people know is that right there okay I'm making excuses no I started my business at 19 don't don't say that young or whatever then the charts is on you you got to make those decisions do you want to be bigger but you just want to be regular you got somebody that know how to make hundreds of millions of dollars like the music business you got an expert eye so I can show you how to get the money you just got to use me so if you heart it see in prison right now cuz he didn't listen he didn't commit this crime see innocent we fightin for we shouldn't have to be fighting for him if listen so you won't be a man that's like real peace I'm telling my grandfather told me a hardhead make us all fast right you know what you're right I was making excuses the thing is I'm trying to give because you know what it is I'm Pete nor would you be alive right now people made excuses for you know that goodbye you might bump your head yeah and let us go pump out here but you ain't gotta bump your head if I already did it five ten times but the thing is people when we came out of the 90s it was a lot harder for us to come out it's a lot easier for these kids to come out different so you think what I'm saying is they have a lot less guidance with them so that's all I'm saying I'm not usin you think when a guy took him to jail you think he worried about how young he is yeah that's true please be honest you go on to prison with everybody else right you gonna have to even with me or you they don't care how old or how young you is you're about doing what's right if you know you another thing then go find you a thinker you know what I'm saying if you know that you don't want to do the work then you're gonna find somebody that don't do the work for you right but if you find a yes man you won't end up dead or in prison to be honest because certain things you don't need to be doing and you have you big this man got hit records he you you shouldn't be in prison she'd be on the street he's the same as long as this no he shouldn't be in prison should be on the streets so at the same time and then if I come to you and say man I need you to do this for me but then I'm paying him money but I won't pay that you it's trash they don't make no sense Oh check this out if a rapper come to me the hottest rapper right now what you think they making four hundred thousand the album to put out so this had a record company give them I'm gonna give you know I'm gonna give you two million to do five albums that's four hundred thousand so but let me on you now now for now yeah but if I say look man recoupable this is recuperar but this recoupable but what if I say I'm gonna give you $400 when you do album for me man but to do man Pete got me for for anything right you know all the money he got he made it what they got is nowhere that you write then it's the same [ __ ] away you just win it humph you sucking me up right now you know you know why you know why I'm gonna tell you the I'm gonna tell you the reason why there's he's right sometimes you're just hearing it from a person that's not from the same environment as you is it seems like it's like sugar and then you hit from somebody and then you feel like they're in your business that's the that's the thing is why we got a stable SSA we got a stop you like don't sit down and eat with you all these people I'm gonna eat with hangul with them like people tell me why you come from the hood I mean hi how you keep coming back to the hood they didn't choke now you've got guys that live in mansions living a big neighborhoods that don't come back you know why think about it then you've got the ones that come you questioning like so who posed to help you out it's lose-lose so this behind I should just stake my ass at my mansion and never come back that's the thing is you didn't have to like be a bit sort of Kodak you didn't have to be a mentor to our Dipsy um what makes you I forgot the other Fat Boy [Applause] Dominica today's oh Jesus Christ can't we have you sit like that's going on my brother holy moly guacamole yo I've done lost my throat a questioning I don't know what the [ __ ] I was asking but um personal P yeah but you saying why I come back no cuz that's the thing here's a desert deal and I'm passing right back to you that was a big thing about people when nipsey got yes murdered it was thank you a lot of us was sitting back and saying even when we come and give back to the hood sometimes sometimes it's better to take the hood with you and get out of the hood yeah is that true or not what did I was appear I mean when you were in the hood think about it if you were drug dealing a hood we taking shots appreciate hold on yeah yeah if you a drug-dealing the hood you know how to survive hold up a second Parker when you start up learning how to survive then you shouldn't go back to the like there's nobody like if you was playing defense when you was in the hood you might have played defense when you have a little goddamn you no offense don't come often to come down like this ain't I learned how to play defense where I played offense now get involved let me tell you something again I want you to know hold on our show is about giving our people they love now yeah let me tell you something you're one of the biggest mobiles and drink champs history and hip-hop history like black people history black people we got deeper it got deep like that and we want to salute you now yeah we want to tell you who the [ __ ] you are now we know you know who you are guess what we want to tell you cuz you don't take nothing away from me for big you up and I'm gonna continue to be whether you are you not here and this is sugar skull one key that I step up a little this is dangerous right there just throwing it out there I immediately want another shot yeah that is good yeah I think I was 9 degrees in this [ __ ] so I want another shot of that that's bringing the Puerto Rican out of me right that's my heard my cousin my cousin back there he know I'm Puerto Rican he's he's not either you gotta try to get all that this we gonna bring this to Puerto Rico god yeah yo but there's so many businesses for like a sneaker company to your rum company you walked in and you said something very many film companies you won't hear some sad yeah they said and you got something to do with that um because you by the way we know we went all over Miami trying to find it there's no way to be fun Miami want to throw it out there we got you because you're gonna sit but when you we've made the request we went we said holy monk no one can find this but we didn't realize this is [ __ ] we won't decision it in every store my butt thing is this you preach ownership so many details I'll be doing a movie I got to hook up to they trying to is back a dream coming black and blue is back July 12 the gray with the white mink everybody coming back alright so AJ coming back AJ coming back boom boom boom what's my man oh yeah yeah you don't watch this y'all coming y'all right boom boom so big tiny Lester coming back winners Witten's nephew the people debo jacking things with his nephew this okay Jesus Cookie Monster they Gribble I'm gonna hit you for a role I didn't know how to go about it I'll get you in give me AI what happened with this moon we talk about ownership okay why people need to go see this movie I see no use of real cameras yeah Hollywood uses a Spielberg cam yes we made some noise [ __ ] like Star Trek out here we clear and we did this on our own man was a lot of work a lot of hard work me and Romeo financed the film together first kinda police yeah he playing kind of detective in there just the first time a father and son paid for a Hollywood movie like it's coming from Hill House real though I'm gonna tell you something I win that basketball players football player case a we don't give opportunity alright everybody yeah I got you made money okay so well Roman your pages you got some real balls stick retail help my kids everybody listen if you paying your way to Romeo postman when help on this project we produces executive producers of this film and we started as father and son coming from here plus we mean we've come a long way hey trying to rest you cuz he's a detective and you said I'm doing my deal still black yeah so with the thing about this though man we gave 126 people speaking roles in this film that's like the 20 or 19 Harlem night we also a Guinness Book of World Records for the most speaking roles in the film yeah man and it's like we don't own black panther we went to the movie theatres we need to go to the movie theaters to see this because this is our hoods this is a for us we know how to make funny for us and we need to laugh nothing maybe we did a lot of crime I feel like it's time for something to make us laugh and so even at that many trying to stop as I need everybody to hit the theatres up they trying to limit us on theatres you know we might have to put it out on VOD the same day we trying to figure it out that's like like we say Indian on demand on demand like it that's for you he's not gonna let them stop well yeah it's the host of screening we'll do it listen to do whatever we're gonna do it I just in case you ain't know that man listen mess with me we are we are the biggest supporters of you because not only of what you've done but what you're doing right now yeah because you know our businesses so much would have you done lately but you're still doing what have you done lately as as a week every other every time I see you out there fighting for it and I want you to know you got support here so when you wanna announce your next sneaker your next run your next are when you join in three on three because I feel like you wanna join 37.0 somewhere you gonna bust somebody else really you still got man I won't tell y'all like sold it around all you come here yeah it's really big in the challenges you have nobody believed know you played my brain for that I played for that so you believe in Raptors and the Hornets was rapping in on and the Hornets in the way I was playing I was there you can pull it up alright I had one game I had like 17 you can look it up like okay with Vince Carter and Tracy McGrady with just weeks before our time Tory Lanez will Drake I went to Paul yesterday it was good because the thing about it was so what got me out the NBA people don't realize was my music that's why I tell people you never know how you pass a car you get a 360 deal in NBA no I had so I went the GM office right I know what it was gonna let me go he had ice cream an album sit okay hold on team is this Charlotte okay that's what Charlotte I'm gonna show that now the bar bears the Jimmy said boy you're a hell of a player but your music is pure Phil you say this this is a Bible Bill City okay you say but then he asked me to say why you not scared and in Mason cuz I'm scared and it makes you know and it makes me was on the team at the time rest in pieces and amazing and and and Anthony Mason yeah and oh never end up being friends he he he was a man okay you touch an amazing you had a problem he told me one time I was in the gym he said look don't nobody touched me you know I'm from uptown I got it touch it so I just let me say little man when I get in the bank I'm gonna beat you down that's me you at all thing I'll call you a little bit I'm 646 10 so I'm the prank going on the team you might be looking at TV looking like people small but the other dudes selling on my desk chair but six at the time that's true so he called me that little man when we get to the back you know his own Wow I stopped the nice ex coach and said coach with it whatever happened in the gym standing Jimmy said yes sir I said well let's do this right now we get in the back he said man you crazy I like we end up being friends that was that was a good dude that's a real do and he's very intimidated I actually went sit let me just clarify what I said I said I went to um basketball camp with him he was the coach of the basketball camp I was the younger but um so we covered the cash money we covered everything we covered oh my god won't I got another one I got another good one oh no you wanted something you got something yeah I want to know how you discover beasts by the panel so I was in Richmond and I feel like my music was it was it was it was West Coast right it wasn't south so you felt that your music was West oh yeah I was there yeah cuz I was down and then when I I said I got to get back home so I went back home I see my cousin in Dallas Moby and I had kale and you know mr. servo hooked me in Kerala calcia went back to the west coast went back to Richmond start working on some stuff and then I found me Rex you know Carroll was telling about me Rex we went back and got me Rex we brought it to the west coast you know Maxie all south she's like look I like this but I got to get back home because we need to put some of that New Orleans and feel the spit oh she could spit she was real but she and she was living she was from downtown so people's telling me and I'm from uptown no you got to go downtown to get Meg's I said well well I'm goin downtown I'm goin talk to we worked it out and then when we got to California mill was like everything good buzz but we need we need this music back in the South the beach you know the beaks we need that bounce in there and then everybody we went back home I all I brought a building back home and we went to work all the magic happen after that so we left the west coast went back to the south and we went from selling no records to selling over 100 million records whoo engine noise for the hundred my [ __ ] men they produced every team beats bottles yeah yeah she's so um it's crazy that home this is my next question and you have the actual pendant on yeah the first time we ever heard the ice-cream man or something ever now you got gz2 snowman yeah I also have gucci mane yeah was there ever a time you thought like it kind of beat my [ __ ] man is Gucci man I guess don't tell my go-to man my dude man and if my whole thing was when Gucci was going through his problem you never know who won't change you won't turn around no you know the ice-cream man for me I always looked at when I first came into hip-hop everything was black the ghetto boys was dark NWA was dark everybody wore black and I said I gotta be different I'm gonna be different then I put the white Dickie suit on and you know so that's where the whole ice cream so in that case you feel like Pharrell [ __ ] [ __ ] I don't care if you can make some money on that case I already made my money go here bro the be honest would you like it ain't no I want another black man yeah guess what they don't steal it from yeah so man if you could make some when I start tell people all the time herb I think I did you got one idea then you ain't important the be honest with you you ain't about no money you just one thing would have multiple months exactly says guess what we're net so people realize hot stay relevant when that's any happen I got this happened I got that happened I got thousand other things happening so we're even in movies we could promote anything we want we don't need to become ism well I could promote my shoes I can put the wrong I could do things that we that we couldn't do back in the days we never owned that brush and so I even could live my homeboys so let me tell you talk about Jesus you know me and Jesus got a record coming out it's called gone all right you all so here's my ice cream man it's no man okay when I got the hook up to soundtrack you bought the heel chambers jeans so we said it's gonna be a cold something's gonna be a cold sub so you won't get the snow man in ice cream that's all that's all so we managed and you get Jeezy at Gucci Mane on the record together you think you could make that okay I don't think no one can do a long shot I get a Hail Mary you know what you just never know you never know whatever no because you know what I've been both doubling friend you are both and I tell it I tell them you know all your friends ain't my friend all my friends ain't your friend I just had that same conversation we're young don't you know because I know your God I've been knowing your guy before I know young dog but I really like young adult hmm we built the relationship I would never put them together but like I was like you don't like you up gaudy yeah I like about like Yo Gotti but he might do but young but I like young though it's mobile but I'm gonna be real with him and say look though I'd never be around both y'all at the same time because I see what y'all got going no not that that's between y'all that ain't between me like I got music to make I got movies to make whoever want to work with me y'all work with me I'm gonna get y'all a real you know what I'm saying I wish y'all I wish we could change all this we live in the same communities we don't need to be doing this I'm gonna think about - let me just show you the respect that you deserve see um you know Grover in the hood what's the time we don't listen to the old G's unless the old G's are still late yeah and the thing it's not another goddamn solder hip-pop gotta say what buddy's doing let that [ __ ] you know we see you every year out here doing what you got to do looking good posting videos and mr. Rogers neighborhood your neighbor it's not damn there so that shouldn't listen to you but you know what is real oh I could relate I keep youngsters around me the other people don't realize because I feel like I'm a coach I'm a life coach or coach saved my life that's what basketball did for me I've been a team player there's no I in team you know I don't want to take this with me that's why I was trying to give it to nip see I'm trying to give it to Gucci Mane here trying to give it to Jesus trying to give it to dog trying to give it to your guy they're trying to give it the code that I'm gonna give it to the ones that take it the ones that don't take it I'm already gonna make sure my kids straight I gotta do that off tap Romeo you're gonna have all the game evening that's why he was yet he listening I don't I'm not doing this for me I'm doing this for my kids I got the other generation to all the girls down at Hollywood yeah you know maybe I got nose Pierre I know you got another one here what he said he said trying to build generational work you know race that's good which is I think one of the most key important things that people don't understand is we got to make our play as well you got to make the people around as well dude right now the ones that don't listen dog look that's on them if I give you something saying if I give you some money you blow it I'm not gonna keep getting I got relative even dudes in the streets and dudes in my hood that scum P helped me first I gotta help my people first I already did what I could do for y'all I don't agree built two projects go look it up you could go get back dinner in 2009 they didn't have social media so nobody know about that but if you google it you take your time you said man I'm the reason y'all land in these places because I went found the man that showed us how to do this and it didn't be just me it's a team ever me and I still like that because we keep it 100 with each other a lot of these dude do not keep it 100 and they want you to keep running we're in real what's being real me not making it out me died in the project like nips it that's real no that ain't gonna happen me shooting it out with one of them that don't wanna see me get what I got to do to help the kids that's how it's gonna be if I'm gonna make CNN I'm gonna pops up you're be honest with you but I come in good good good spirit then I come in peace leave me alone I'm trying to help these kids right I ain't got time I'm trying to build stuff I'm trying to develop trying to help the next generation I'm trying to make it better than what we have so that's what we do want to kill that you killed a man that dog that was gonna help Crenshaw that was gonna help Elle Ling was helping he know he was the king today but now people saying he got all kind of [ __ ] put up walls and mirrors true you need to think about it but that's what we got to tell his generation even the ones in the hood man pull them look crazy ones on man look what you going this man doing this helping y'all community what y'all I got the million dollar question the ones that's mad what have y'all done for the community who did y'all give something back to how many kids you took care of you in the hood destroying the hood when you won't wake up and say man ok keep your mouth closed if you ain't got nothing positive to say especially if you ain't doing it because it's easy to talk I tell you all the time if you hate you ain't getting no bread people getting bread they hating they have but that's my you see I'm right I'm I live in a mansion I told the gangs out there Kells I don't have to be there by y'all live I come out of mansion man I'm coming cuz I love y'all kids I ain't coming to get y'all nothing I'm coming to save y'all kids I'm gonna get them kids whatever they need well [ __ ] all the way through that make some noise not beat let me just tell you something man I pay attention to everyone's reputation I pay attention to everyone and everyone is you'll stand up person you've always been I think you always will be and I'm a fan I'm just a fan of what you what you dinner with which I tell people all the time nobody's perfect I ain't perfect I made no no and then why say that reg about it no but this what people say like I know cheat though I don't know if you know that black men don't cheat y'all I mean to God we do not cheat so the thing that people don't realize man that we all got 24 hours is what you do with yours if you spend your 24 hours right you will make some bread you will come out of it you will don't care how bad you're doing do something right you're smoking and drinking 24 hours you ain't gonna have nothing then goodbye you don't have no job no business on but this is the hood want us to do they want you they see you on this show they want you to come back in your hood and just I do this your job you got to drink challenge you but you that you can't go in in New York and just sit on a pole [ __ ] hanging out here to hurt to make this job back to work to celebrate that's what I'm saying to celebrate this you celebrating the people that come to them all right so my thing is they want you to come back home and just hang out with so how you gonna do anything of you or you ain't real if you ain't hanging out to see murder the realest thing we're here in prison that's my brother I mean there is him in the projects when he was he was in a rap game I said yo come see me and I'm gonna W a hotel downtown yeah he goes something he gonna tell yourself yeah sometimes seem too real for itself that's why he wins that I pray for him every night I love him but if he just yeah man if he just he just listen to a little thing he wouldn't beat it cuz it ain't see see you got a good heart but it's the people you bring with sometimes got to cut the people off that you have that don't think the way you think you know what I'm saying they don't think the way you think people always say you know you like the people you around and that's that's what you've got to realize I don't care how much money you have then I'm gonna stop you from going to prison because when when they wanted somebody in that club they want to see that was the biggest ticket they didn't care who did they let the do go did it not you got to fight for your freedom and that's what I'm saying but he didn't been through this a bunch of time and it sells so the thing about this man that we got a look at what he's going through hopefully to save a bunch of these other kids because that's what he want to come home and do show these kids that this ain't no worth it how many pills you wanna be one a lot Manny they did just don't want us in the system in Louisiana y'all know it's a different kind of system so even when they got no facts or whatever they make facts right you know they created the only black man think about this the worst thing to be a black man in America be 18 because it's for real for you every time you walk out that dope I don't walk out that door with a pony's let days I'm like come on man for real you know and then then if they don't know who you is you're in trouble yeah me too so so you got to know how to survive out here in the real world that's why you got to have your stuff together my grandmother told me that when she was alive I didn't get it till she died you know she said you better had your [ __ ] together me walk out just don't and you better make sure the people around you hear they [ __ ] together cuz you might not be coming back home you know and we afraid of the truth so if you don't want the truth don't talk to me cuz I ain't gonna tell you number two - whether you like it or not but you know I'm looking at your wrist and it looks like you have the with DJ caller calls a chandelier yeah that was going on as a chandelier holy moly yo you making a lot of money for a lot of times and you know what we're proud of you yeah you know what let's make some noise yeah throughout your whole career it's always been an attachment to making someone else great yeah and you know that's something that I would love to take from you yes I want to just keep continuing to me make someone else great if it makes someone else great Capone make someone else great King being make something else great mic bootleg or someone else quit and so on and so on and so on and so on and so on and so on a song but I've I've learned that lesson from you yet so you think about how did you drive 300 albums in one year when I the manors which I make records I never wrote a record and pull out me you got to pour out me so the thing is I tell people you got to be able to celebrate other people's success if you want to be successful there's hate hate you can't wait hating gonna get you at man hmm Haden gonna get you know whether they're so angry dead or in prison like you made at this man cuz he's successful you should and when I see your dad driving a nice car what I'm saying then that's a black man be inspired to get this eye what's up homie how you doing that's right be damned look look look oh boy you gotta pee got a busy got a piddly man a black man and live it motivates me down these haters motivate me to go home you know every time you hear my okay let me go do this on them let me go show them this did you know because you really don't and people say why you entertaining the haters they need to be entertained that's the only way they're gonna change it's a disease man there's a sickness you hatin cuz you ain't got none when I was in the project I'm like I need to figure out how to get out of here but help of next thing yeah yeah so first you gotta figure out how you can get out I don't know you in a bad place if you keep fooling yourself oh I live in a project but I'm in a mansion hold up doggy don't make sense I knew I had no money I'm in a project like I'm hungry I live in though my grandmother got 12 kids everybody eat me for me I'm getting leftovers I appreciate it but I'm like damn I gotta change this I'm not gonna fake it like it's all good you know if you man it's cool to be in the hood who who won't be in other people now look don't really want beat they saying that cuz they did well if they had an opportunity to get some money they're going this behind yeah that's real [ __ ] man running tears when they got a little money whatever the accident weapons man they changed up the mumbles it's a nice re the numbers when I'm here to Landry Wireless much a lot of me the numbers the regular numbers in the hood they like you know one day out here unti she was cold man I come by and I know she against because she said look here let me I need some money I got John T I give a 10 grand right Chino hair 10 grand I never gave my heart 10 grams just walk it your look before I hit the freeway a couple hours later she called me yeah you know they robbed me back here never say well you had your money on T I had in my purse I knew you'd like to keep up money right here and she said I went to the I want you to boat and spent it but I needs a moment the boat was that's casino yeah you know so I'm like that's what we got to start realizing when you get something you never know when you're gonna get get it again you got to make the best that's why I did I took that 10 I had and when turning into million yeah somebody give you something you gotta take take real control this baby Duke never gonna get it back never you might not somebody get you some loot people really give you something in the hood unless they won't sup even the women are you gonna think about a woman come to using me like okay i'ma get is but alright well look what we talk about in your mind with this thing about she's bad you won't be where I look what I'm getting with Chuck you already know when you exit that man you are ready ready to give sup same way in the hood you coming up to a dude took much you need some he wants something to what what you're gonna do for me that's the god-honest truth stop faking like everybody gonna give you something they don't have agenda that's why I don't ask nobody for nothin I'm going out then give it the same way I'm do is did it and sometimes if you if you taking a penitential chance cuz you have to go do it but you taking a penitential chances you don't have to that's stupid that are you keeping it 100 beyond the don't even the drug deals I've no they don't won't be there man it one and get what you think people start crying when they go to prison they want to get out of jail and be with a family they start realizing man that should have hang with my film that would be because you don't see that you don't appreciate it till it's gone think about it people really don't appreciate what they have to till this go you know I haven't seen more people posting up Bushwick build now like man Bushwick bill was out trying to do stuff he knew what it situates you want how many people really stepped up I'm telling the people I'm sorry to cut you off yeah you know what we could step up right now yeah and we could show our gratitude is Scarface is running for office yeah this helped in when Scott I forget what coming in I'm endorsing me yeah I didn't want to say it never check ahead coming in I'm endorsing and this this to be I look some moves always running for office a little other people do it I can I'm not trying to floss but you know problem you keep thinking everything you do is for cloud cause people say that so what you should do nothing right about this be honest did the record company Atlanta stop putting Nipsey Hussle records out so his album was out of our way up they making money still let's be honest yeah why we ain't mad at that but I hear rappers oh man I'm gonna put the record out yet because people might think I'm for what if you did the song with him that's what he won't write put it out hit the world here we gonna make him live his legacy later on we keep worrying about what people think because social media got us thinking crazy now you know I'm saying social media should be just business if your boss and if you have the right thought in mind and never mind what the [ __ ] anybody else is thinking man look we need to stop they're letting them make all the money off us and we're not doing nothing and we don't even expose it that may how you think he sold millions of Records so they should have waited over album that came last year and nobody said nothing about it BT got him up there 40 million people seeing his funeral we can't get 10 people to watch this video when he was alive man come on man stop but stop that I ain't black dog that you ain't me I never play my stuff I don't care I'm gonna make mine imma just I saved by ownership I don't it I'm gonna tell the truth and I like BT but it's the truth they need to know the truth the be honest which you know what I'm sayin don't wait till we go to be like oh I'm gonna put y'all on spyler you need to play my music now you be enough to revolt big up to title big up to mass appeal cuz we all here being fully black media out you go are you going in already on this we got a whole little column trying to say why we so ignorant because they only show negativity they don't show positive they don't show this what we're doing in here we getting together we're killing each other happy talking we're having a conversation right having fun then go back and salute salute me and celebrating each other no no it's we're doing negative stuff oh man we'll be front-page TMZ believe me I got a shot of that masterpiece [ __ ] in me what is it [Laughter] you had an artist science called ugly yeah penalty records yeah how did you realize that you could take take any artist and put them on any company how did you figure that out did you do that before Rizzo or that was after we take huh no what the BI whoever did it okay yeah it's all good it's all good my bank is giving orders that would never get opportunity to be on a major label coming from the hood cuz they people want real street music and mr. cool was on job miss girl was on guy we got miss golfers yeah it battles over the [ __ ] I thought you had Latinos Amish pick I love you oh this is good that's so good it's just good that I know it's gonna hurt me that's some good [ __ ] keep talking about it though if you you giving all these big orders record deals why we can't give the ones that had just real talent but just wrong that's what I looked at I always deal with the underdog same thing with the movie if you look at a decent young flying Fat Boy and Peele they would never be in a big movie like this I got the hook-up - but Pio is a real snowman DC young flies the real stuff he's a bad guy they start yeah he's the bad guy and I got the hook-up - so no he's he's a stick of gum yeah he ended up driving a UPS truck filled with with phones and y'all know my phone was $1,000 chatter time so 300 phones that's 300 grand hmm so he go in knowing everybody looking for him and you know he connected to the Columbia you got a juju girl in there dude you you do his hi he's in there oh ok I don't know what you said you gotta speak up big okay we got a she funny hmm no blacks mr. polite flags are he funny [ __ ] web where we go chef seeing me get arrested yeah he can't understand what the polytope is that's good so think about it jay-z in the mood G what is Jesus Jesus changed his life like so he's selling like some type of health food they used to hustle and so now you got a truck selling helpful and we try to get some roll-up from me got no roll over the ball like man come on you know so AJ kind of going off on them you know blue blue everybody like me I know you ain't really changed you know what a row loves it all right you know so yeah now man this is but but in the movies about ownership we own this restaurant called big Papa's okay so Nicholas big papa is a real restaurant in real life in real life in New Orleans but my uncle owned it so it's like this we're showing that we lose in the business and and what we have to do to come together as a family to save that right that's the movies that reflected in real life though yeah it's they go Meo every day this make some noises family so in this in the premiere we to be doing the premiere New Orleans instead of Hollywood right we take we take in Hollywood to New Orleans July fit though okay New Orleans doing essence and we having a big premiere now and everybody coming oh it's gonna be crazy and we do a Miami from here yeah we got you and in New York we could do we got you yep Massa P let me just tell you something man because there's so many people like it so many artists and so many platforms that would you know will beat you up you know when you I want to tell you man everything you did for hip-hop everything you brung the hip hop everything you contributed to hip hop has to be saluting whether if you were New York [ __ ] whether you were south- with you for a West Coast [ __ ] whether you are [ __ ] whether you from not even a [ __ ] yeah you deserve this this is real [ __ ] like I just remember just listen by the way my first time in New Orleans as a grown man I well as Latinos was there yeah because I looked at Bobby but I say it ain't a Latino insight yeah hey look at us - Matty knows you I had no idea like whatsoever to New Orleans and I said holy [ __ ] man it's not like the rest of the country it's the melting pot a lot of your new brains the most everyone you know what but whoo I would never thought about New Orleans I don't never went to New Orleans I wouldn't have visited it if it wasn't because of your movement but your movement is not just powerful to me I want to just tell you how big it is you change people live everybody you literally had people living the same life as you following the same footsteps you literally just in case you didn't know I want to tell you this face to face man to man I die that you are so appreciative and hip-hop and hip-hop wouldn't be hip-hop without you there's so many artists from a Jeezy tour rick ross to all this I can I could name 1500 people that if it wasn't for you it wouldn't be event yeah so in case you didn't know that I wanted to tell you that face to face man a man out of you appreciate it you're one of the biggest legends and you're one of the people that super rich still man we got we got we gotta listen to you so if you tell me not to wear pink again look I got on pink today I don't know why I tried that I tried like I like like get like pressive but if you tell me I know you made it to a promised land you made it a place that and you know what my job is to salute what you did will you come from what you're doing and who the [ __ ] you are this wind snow that man and I ain't finished I got some people that I really want to take to the next level I got a guy King Roy out of Toledo Ohio I think he's the next big store you know why he would never been done before guys never call OS OS like David next big street girl group and they got a lot of hot records you know the name of the group what I like about him said well what's what os os they import they say on some other [ __ ] let's go like this Ireland you know one from one from one from Louisville which never been done one from the bay Kentucky the up Louisville Kentucky one from the bay and one from New Orleans oh great oh yeah so they going at the young you know Miami say girls and no oh no they talk about there's a lot of room for everybody telling y'all look at this we can put shoes all around everybody got a business here we know stop acting like there's nothing we only gonna see one group think about how big called it be was the year before that it was Nicki Minaj's you know me Rex them all it just keep going me an X is one of the best female yeah that's right I have really big on tables well I see it let me just say so how much a big fan of I am for me accent I don't know if you know she's on eastbound and down on HBO you know that you got to be a real me expand so let me tell you something she makes is a real gangster she she was gonna tell you oh oh my cousin hot boy that was that was a boyfriend no I had no idea look at this yeah yeah and in there my heart is so pure man right like like she she gonna tell you what's on the man what the right that's what I like about it even if I'm doing [ __ ] ever look she gonna tell you type of people are worn around in sy you know weak matter of fact we do in the reunion tour we do I'm your no limit meet mr. silk mirror thing crazy we're going to be starting off in Denver on August 2nd we have the smoke chance right hey I'm smoking on shine all day and I've been smoking on smoke champions going down I'm sorry go ahead continue sir yeah man um I was just saying like this is the year the females you know shout out to to city girls all of the I mean you got a female group yeah yeah oh man the girls that are out now Omega's tell you know stallion yeah you see out here man nice man Oh yogi who we - dog - dog ok it's dog in the movie yeah Rhapsody in Ciroc never seen one Queen we might miss somebody but you're saying like fourth wife a cache dog I like the way she camera itself came on the movie said she was a lady she was 100 she sent me a song for she redid mystical here I go no [ __ ] yeah before a feed mother dumb like hold up and you have dogs but when I got the record I said when you own all the rest cuz she don't gotta hit Jimmy I mean no she don't gotta hit she said Lucas she's gotta hit really good the record nice - goddamnit yeah make some noise for that goddamn it come on TV come on TV I'm gonna come over here and say something what yeah well you know right now you gotta fall back because see kind of like got in trouble for doing that putting putting putting music out like that so we just yeah like we really just we just praying and trying to let this time go by so he could get opportunity so yeah we can't putting on music out right now well also um you know when I see Merida like you know you know set a couple of things about to change yeah I was the one that called 2 Chainz and I said no response needed yeah cannot not like to be honest with you man to chain is probably one of the most talented brothers and the greatest do whatever we iterate that no let me tell you something to change I definitely want to do some work with him I was great Greeks do some with tomorrow cuz he keeping wine I mean he does I'm saying yeah even to it conversation I got to see is like I don't care look that man do whatever he good do man you can't do nothing with it right now right you know this behind there's somebody do somebody keeping your legacy going well [ __ ] you know at least keeping the name out you know so that's I look at all members make a positive out of it that's true you know like it that's the case if we get mad at everybody we got a problem when ain't nobody nobody here with me I have you really living like that but if you fake it yeah man stop I'll let you just make it a whole bunch of commotion for no I don't a you mind telling to do you stepped on my man I'm sorry bro but I'm like this yeah because Master P you've been one of the most emanated artists that yeah people really literally take what you do and you can actually see like that's not sleepy yeah you've never once been like a little bit like offended like never never never man even you see somebody in endeavor cuz I've made my money what I needed if you got money you have come on girls room she gave me going like man the see was happening out here right now with this generation man they supposed to do what they got to do man we gotta stop that's why I could still hang with the youngster right they know I ain't sittin with what you're going be some grumpy do because ain't no time no more look at Michael Jordan come here you playing the NBA there every day's making money right yeah I don't mind sitting on the sidelines watching the youngsters vegetable gonna do it yeah you know what i'ma say I did it right I won't matter of fact I want y'all to do it better than me that's what I know we're gonna build a generation well can't build on generation of well with everybody being Pope mm I don't know more to access are you gonna do this let's [ __ ] done killed it my [ __ ] listen let me tell you something Master P let me just one long before everybody clap when we started this podcast we wanted to interview people like you who've been in this game who's been relevant because a lot of people use that word relevant that we're relevant is the [ __ ] foul [ __ ] word because a person would it's a foul word relevant relevant is relevant to the people who's relevant to the relevancy meaning if you acts Soulja Boy fans is Master P proud of it they'll say no then you actually masterpiece fans its sociable brother don't say hell no you acts drink chance fans and then it's so on and so forth it's so super relevant means nothing no it's to the people who you in the room I don't I don't focus on Nate world at all but they stay in my world but you know what trust in God you got the worry about this you know [ __ ] God on my world and I got the big you to [ __ ] up because you deserve it in the [ __ ] you did [ __ ] I wanted to go to New Orleans like I never did you make a Queen's at this time yeah I'm from the other side of Queen my goal was to go to New Orleans the Cali old projects I almost got killed yeah trying to get abouted bound verse yeah let's make some noise now and I really didn't know that this killers outside New York to that moment so [ __ ] said what are you here for about about it [ __ ] a [ __ ] this looked at me man but we got like you said we gotta change their mindset man because even I look at New
