[Music] what it could be hopefully woulda still be this is your boy and ort what up is DJ he defends this dream chance [ __ ] yeah when we started this show we said that there was no platform for legends when you have 10-15 years or more in this game they want to call you old they want to call you washed-up they want to say this over for you and all john was of music like rock and roll with jazz whatever the older you get the more seasoned you get I wanted to change that in hip-hop so instead of us complaining about it we did what the [ __ ] we had to do so when we thought of this show the person that's here that's our guest today is the epitome of that is that God MC he's my favorite MC of all time I've never told him that this makes me a kind of fake [ __ ] one of the best businessman show Queensbridge people that not only you can be from the hood but you could transition yourself into being a real full fledged businessman through the world so the world this man has done whatever he had to do countless times and he's on top he's number one MC one of the illest lyrically ever inclined keeping it classy keeping it classy I never seen him on a bum day neither did [ __ ] never had one bum day like everybody has a bum one point I knew you got two but if you don't know do you still like being cold now is Escobar oh yeah you'll give up yeah I don't think so right now we celebrating Lost Tapes doom so let's take those weight loss Age 2 so let's break down the origin of Lost Tapes Lost Tapes is a records that didn't make the album right didn't it down could make it album at Ibiza [Applause] yeah you know you got the records that you didn't he wasn't sure about so you just they sit around what span of time is is that that these records like like when and when will you require I was like 2007 to last year yeah different albums yeah yeah a couple albums so the crazy thing is um first day first time I actually met you met you was on Vernon Boulevard I think he was going on tour and he was um you're your home voice is playing this record that I'd never heard before in my life I heard it one time one time od I don't know if you remember this story I'm walking to Vernon bullet ball cuz you shouted me out without actually meeting me like you said and I finally met you David was playing this record now you tell me if I'm buggin it was a great there's a lady cop suckin the thugs dick on some [ __ ] [Applause] look at Lost Tapes for that record yo I'm gonna lock is yo it's the first I feel like little Wayne [ __ ] [ __ ] oh [ __ ] when I heard that song it reminded me of that [ __ ] but I didn't think nobody even permitted that you wouldn't even heard that joint dawg that's crazy no one knows I was like how long goes is it you heard this record this was after it was written it was it was written and this was the $50 pair of Sonics [Applause] Boulevard and oh yeah obviously obviously uh it was mobbed deep that was coming up by the way home The Prodigy tribute would go right to that well I remembered a plan and a $50 Panasonic I was like damn this ain't that he's [ __ ] a lady cop Thanks that's the truth you know I remember that song dog like I think um le s mighty today so I don't know what to do with the song no yeah you know that's death that's lost lost lost that's like that's 20-something years ago that's crazy bro and of course I shouted you out cuz y'all was coming up and I seen that she's nothing like all these dudes these these are the dudes right here so it's like I'm some Queens [ __ ] you know sans seen them coming up Capone Noriega I knew it's gonna be on yeah for sure hang a lot that change I changed my life because um see I know I know you humble and um and you don't realize that you're the greatest emcee of all times [Applause] for you this is gonna be here for I want to tell you I want to say I'm happy to be here man yeah I just want to tell you what L Matic was right um it was a point in time yeah KS kind of [ __ ] us up right oh yeah it'd be clear let's be clear I was wanted to sparf it and I was running to Rikers Island they were saying so it was one period I'm stalking I've never told you this this is crazy it's one period dad it changed the course of Queens hmm and I don't know if you know this I'm sorry you know it it was Illmatic when well that's a fact listen it was Queens [ __ ] blowing dudes every day they had to get it on because it was bruised the joke of the town at the time it would say Queens Illmatic came out [ __ ] like I we know what you talk about now you you you describe the picture of Queens and queens bridge in a way like Donald Goines to think about why people read books in jail yes they go to that place so everybody went illmatic came out that everybody actually was not only just from Queensbridge but they was from Queens Garriott yeah do you know what I heard good luck at no good look okay read stories like it's incredible Kairos is a leader he's is one of my favorite rappers ever so when I first when I was putting out illmatic it was like almost xocai arrest one is almost that was part of I Drive because I had to because of what he had done so I had to it was part of it was like yo look K arrests we here so you know he's one of my favorites ever but never mind saying that it changed the course of Queens I would ever changed the course at hip-hop period that's like did you even imagine that you would just change like the evolution of hip-hop because it to me it changed it was a new era in hip-hop well Matt it came out directly yeah yeah yeah we had Rakim and we have we had lyrics but it just it felt different after all Matic I feel you it was like I had to represent it was like like Norwich said the pressure was on the borough and my project so I was like and then just getting in the game you had to have something to say so I definitely had to push it push to push the pin hearts cuz it's not it woulda never flew people like me I'm in Miami and I feel like I was in Queens bridge listening to nomadic you know it was so vivid rocking a lot to you I think I could quote their album backwards that's how good I know that I know I know that album better you I promise you are you Olivia not cuz admit it means so much more to me because we were in we were in the P now when it even came out when I was in the P now I was locked up with the Brooklyn guys and it was biggie and it was it was a a buckshot it was buckshot and I knew mind you I have met you through a kennelly but I didn't know that was you and then when you said when I was 12 I went to hell for snuffing Jesus what's wrong with you that question when you was 12 year went to hell first up in Jesus I was um I was sick at what was happening in the black community and I was felt like what was pushed on us on a religious level was before my time you know the black church is powerful it definitely been here through the civil rights and all of that and still powerful to this day but I was I didn't see it as a black thing I didn't see it as I saw no one's coming to save us you know so I just felt like it's me against the words of I had a very rebellious spirit back then like serious soul yeah but you know I love Jesus and it's also a room would have been looking around that it was you and I can le together what's your name like like when y'all went to the deal oh is that true or something like that we used to go on the Columbia do you tomba no not before that okay a knock you sir you'll meet me at the last car on the E train and we're gonna go here or I'm gonna come pick you up and we're gonna go shop these are tapes eikenella used to get me like motivated to go shop demos he's for somehow knew he knew where the offices was he knew who to go see he knew he made meetings with them he booked meetings with like like real people it's before live at the barbecue and all that no after after after cuz I met him doing live at the barbecue mmm so he was like thinking like a businessman like he was about it I didn't I was like are we really going to DC gone to these offices like yeah for sure you know I'll join the Taliban right now you seen them lately you know you're going crazy pick up doc another man so so I need to ask this question cuz as a fan this is a hip-hop fan no whoo tang came made any destroyed [ __ ] huh but it was a skit on Ghostface album break one out yeah goddamn it DJ DJ was rocking bigger bleeding was robbed when he said like a bit nice [ __ ] yeah they said um it was um that was the talk so that was a talk I just I couldn't believe he said it so um it's over the album cover right cuz biggie you I had a picture of young me on the cover and then notorious b.i.g rest in peace had a picture of a baby that was gonna be him I supposed to be him so of course people start comparing because they was comparing us anyway so the album cover came and it was like oh so ghost said it I said on this straight bloodsport out here is war oh and ghost said he's saying absolutely when ghost said that [ __ ] on arm raised tape oh that was crazy that was crazy man cuz cuz it was something after that I think puff a big call me you've never heard this story nas yeah they call me and he's like yo you [ __ ] with the moon Eggers you knew they said that [ __ ] and he's like yo that's how you feel the way bro cause me and him was tight right so we in I was like yo I mean that's cool all right Ghostface his ghost face there's no love loss I didn't know he's gonna say this [ __ ] and he was just use a little disappointed cuz he wasn't trying to bite off my [ __ ] no no just just in general because he wasn't coming at it like that because if you listen his album he rapped from he tell a whole story in so I never I didn't look I didn't look at like like I didn't look at it like that it was just competition at that time so at that time I was like I was riding with that a little bit because it was competition so it was just one for me involved into anything nah other than that Busta Rhymes had told me a story cuz I busted caught me on call bust up again Buster said yo tell NAS about the one time it was you him and Method Man in the studio and big was supposed to come up yeah and big didn't want to walk up flights of stairs the elevator was broke and big had a car accident so he had a cane he's like dude I love y'all [ __ ] but I with this bro it was broke something was broke he had a car accident yeah that was a crazy session that was gonna be some [ __ ] so I didn't lay no verse but the next day big came and um and he did his [ __ ] did you know that's the only verse that big when that puck yes me the double album will the double album he has some verses form but you're right that was the one when he went right at him right Adam must've played me that verse I was gonna bring her here but I said I don't think I've seen it I was like I don't think I should so so yeah ok it comes a time after Illmatic right where it was written yeah what now Oh so it changed from the project kid like big the big guy I remember track master Tony asking him so you'll track my said Tony I want to do all missus sing well Orman I rude and trap mother told us that I will never give you that record I said Jesus and do we see backlash from coz you you you you it was almost like you not like a backpacker I don't want to say like a backdrop but he was like the king of the underground and then as you transition to it was written it was like now you a boss but soon as you become a boss people kind of you know I'm saying did you like see that like cross the world yeah oh yeah big time big time when we first put out the record it was a white label so they didn't know who was singing it so he knows longer they know it was her so they thinking wise somebody singing honest on your record brother like what's going on and I'm like dog that's that's Houdini the beat that's Houdini that song she's singing Curtis both dog this is this is hip-hop to me yeah it sounds good for radio - but I'm just saying it's hip-hop this is what we took this what we doing the way the way the thing was changing it was like radio was opening up to us hot 97 was now a thing and now it's opening up to us so if we can have a record that the streets is in true but also has a appeal to go a mass appeal to go then you had to do that we had to do that to get to the next level because you know that was just the tap the challenge was to just you can't just be rapping you got to make records too it's like keeping y'all dentist it but still for sure then it's Lauren Hill is Dennis Lauren Hill so it's like but then of course you know people wasn't ready for the transition and now and now you won't tour with mary j blige i think is out there like is that what you're in life because you know we hear we read or you know about the stock and everything you got is like when you come out as these things that you want to do you know I'm saying because I feel like you wanted to do the tour like I feel like yeah there's a lot of things they know - yeah now we've been talking about it for a while so after New Year's I seen her you know we saw her hanging out and um I said yo do you want tour this year she's like yo yeah let's do it so I was like we don'twe the time up yeah that's how yeah I said it yeah just some ways easy I had her up it's like you know [Applause] yeah called us said you want to do this tour she's like let's do it Wow let's do it and she was serious about it so it was just great time right and your first date was Miami yeah what's wrong with mom and the show was crazy but yeah yeah shoutouts of marriage she's it's an honor to be on tour with her man her from what's the four one one with Grand Poobah she's always been that hip so it's like Queen of hip-hop soul you know matter that's assistant my brother deuce man I miss you man you know um you know I'm welcome home my brother Lee got down okay but you said when you say hip-hop is dead how many like diems you got from a young [ __ ] to kill me man because what she was saying was explained to what you people you're saying is dead I was just because we didn't have no control and it's like you know a lot of people took offense to it that I didn't think was gonna take offense I'm talking about let's wake up and take control as soon as we put out a record there's some political or some religious or whoever leader in the community that's trying to build a name off you and start to protest your record as soon as you try to build your company or try to be independent of all the labels you run into trouble you know so it was it was so many people in control of where this thing was going and it's like I thought we've had a great time to turn this around culture didn't control it basically is what is we're not not like what happened not like what's going on today you know I'm saying and also you know I probably thought a few few people could have stopped making records I probably thought some [ __ ] in LA you could even say something about the time when you said that you living in Atlanta yeah at a crib in Atlanta a crib in McDonough Georgia okay but that's what took it up friends to it right man Lana took a phone screen cuz ya little piece had a shirt that said hip-hop didn't die lives in the south yeah that's so well I felt y'all act aloof or that you thought about their gang kids yo I felt like I felt like damn is it's not really I didn't get the point off right the wrong people singing intention I wasn't attacking Luda and my guys know that it wasn't the case it was just like teach you I forgot why I said it so long ago is some pissed me off some piss me off essentially to break dancing that's what you mean right the breakdance turn the graffiti is good culture it was it was all of this stuff that even today a lot of people don't care about it I like to I like to care about it like I like what you say about when the show starts like give them the roses why you can smell them this a lot of people don't realize the great history here that's why we're trying to well that's why we are building a hip-hop Museum in the Bronx you know I'm sad because [Applause] it should have been here and should have been way over to should have been it's way overdue we building one here because it'll be great because sometimes the kids don't see why they should go far go that far back to to listen to some [ __ ] you know but if you go back there you might discover some new [ __ ] that you could be doing you know I'm saying like I looked at them old dudes or I don't want to call them all but the pioneers from them I learned from that and it's always like it's important that the kids today know how important they are so this whole thing - yeah don't want to wonder one of my favorite days of my life was we was a massive Hill office and cuz I had thought Rock Kim and Eric be what story I didn't know that I cuz I see rock him but I see Eric be buddy cell but I didn't know that Eric being a rock Kim well I hadn't been together in so long so you said to me you say you're Laurie you want to go to there would be a rock cam show and I was like leaving it up to me laughs yeah and then we wait there so this is this is the favorite part of my time as much as all the accolades you got as much as you know you can say you the man I saw you sit there and pay homage to rock him it was the best day of my life bro who you like but he was sitting there and it rocked him started to do like two or three records that I never heard of yeah I thought I was the biggest rock him fan and I watched NAS you knew every word I said this is what sticks the King of Pop you that was a great day that was a great thing I got my big chain I just got my big change the first day heavily so you are really a student under came a hip hop I love it I think I am okay you you - no yes I am - but now now I'm adults because we all up their age so I'm at all then add all of us what are you listening to right now no [ __ ] knives no [ __ ] Turk there's a lot of darks [ __ ] a little dirt okay - baby okay the baby is the baby and his little baby now I gotta be someone dreamville joint ooh Greenville joint Oh Jay called the Revenge of the event was very cool homey reason from TV's problem that's what you listen to - yeah the baby little baby or the baby both for them okay that's hard my answer for sure for sure Davies for sure family in retrospect like I have to say it like that but the if you boys say you the second coming of Rock him feel like Davis is the second coming an ass or he's his office pause his own coming up coming I think I think Davis is the first Davis yeah because sometimes that name feeling like some people don't like that so I would be honored for somebody to call him that personally but he's his own man for sure yeah have you have you ever seen somebody that remind you of you like like you know I'm saying like how do you know everybody bites your stylish it um like like did you say holy [ __ ] Lupe Lupe Fiasco Fiasco resolute Bay or Susie Lou baby wails aw yeah sorry for them Lupe no that's my [ __ ] I got love for Lupe I just still want him to apologize to trial called quest from that day when he came out there and he messed them q-tip lyrics remember I just wanted to say I'm sorry that's it so I'll be all new BAE's ass you know I love him as a brother and as that fan wow you know he went out on Tropico quest you don't member if there's a tribute to drop Called Quest oh yeah I love Lou paid like yeah coming up - oh all right yeah you so--but you don't even know what you know I know this is like a cliche to have a question you ever throw hip-hop would really be where's that I always wanted it to be a kid I can't say that um I thought this your week oh yes it is no you can have that nice [Applause] so what you say no matter you would like it would you like a shot glass anything you do I'm with you okay let's do a shot we ain't gonna say what shot we doing oh it's a wing stop by the way men shout the wing stop who provided us some wings the cherry that's best buying that best Monica's best buy because I got I'll be so mad you know what I want to listen to money Queens get the money but you know how we're not big up - I feel like don't get it's my surprise and I feel like it's one of the best executives ever in the world and I know no one's not gonna know who I'm about to say right now jungle [Applause] that's one of my favorite acai tell them that he always been when I say it so he think I'm playing oh jeongu you my favorite executive like because he was hood he knew exactly what to do like do you remember me buddy in the truck I can't forget that okay you know wait hot wait you mean the way we came up with it was it was it was it was jungle it was jungle at chaparral but before we get into that I'm gonna tell you I'm gonna tell you a craziest story one day we understood in the studio me you and its nature session so may use both your nature session in Asia is a song called Triple Threat it winded up being called Triple Threat but me and you in the studio and nature said makes the soldier so Trackmasters home or Trackmasters period plays the record and nature said y'all gonna take this [ __ ] I'm gonna go home and me and you just looked at each other and as soon as nature wrote me body the whole on their first it was just me you know he came back who's found a glass on the door out there so yeah drive it was your drive dog yeah I think of these was like nothing I've never seen motivated me thank you Sam they're like with you and I'm like if I stand next to homie all right we're gonna make some real wreckage so no shot Drive bro in your vision bro so it's just riding with you thank you my brother thank you because I don't know if I ever told you this but if it wasn't before I'm leaving I don't think I would have had a solo career and I don't know if you remember well you guys started recording the firm album in Miami yeah and y'all supposed to give me a flight and I never got that flight shut up and just wait for your hunger and then one day jungle called me it's like you've been to LA and I was like they got me and lay awake oh they like this is only how let me lead you on a firm album and I flew out there and you know what a [ __ ] is the engineer Oh doctor [ __ ] Dre my brother's your ass well I want to go there for a second the farm album yeah what was the vision to even create the firm and we need a new firm but that's later I needed I needed my [ __ ] right you know I was dole oh really so he needed to squat up because everybody was squatting up so it's only right mmm yeah Junior MAFIA mmm you know you had all even you know won't take us long to name Jeff rose a lot of them you know so had to squat up right yeah and let the record reflect because a lot of people thought up in the air hold on Foxy Brown she was signed to you know now she no no no she lost the bet no question good you know um ac introduced me to foxy he said y'all got a girl I gotta go that's called that's called like nah wait it's not gonna happen it's Pharaoh Kim oh it's not there's nothing we can do any body degree so Kim was out already before you met foxy yeah I lost another bag Hey continue felt like y'all were creating the firm on mixtapes I mean I might be completely wrong but that's the way it felt I could answer that mom let him answer it just to enjoy some mixed haters just felt like the firm was being created before our very eyes our mixtapes what we did mixtapes for DJ Clue they were clue we started doing stuff to promote the album's so his thousand yeah we started doing that and um that became the thing so we was using that music DJ Clue where's our key to the streets and um we just started doing a lot of mixtapes so cuz we couldn't wait for the album's to come out yeah but but I introduced me to foxy and I met her and on my own she's a beautiful beautiful sister and she got bars right oh oh she's gonna win right so once they saw that I was invested everybody just just went crazy and we were flying me foxy and um flower flew her to LA to talk to Jimmy Iovine to get it try to get her deal with Dre from those know I already had kicked it with Dre on my first album he came to one of my shows over and he was like yo we got to work together and I'm at the Grand Slam Prince's club in LA so so but yeah but we were flying around shopping shopping with her trying to try to get involved but at the end I saw she was already up and she was already on her way so I stepped back and let it go yeah so um and then and then so the firm fall yeah you figure you figure it comes out and then dr. dre says this one line he says some some [ __ ] or the firm flopped everybody saying I turned pop or the firm flop y'all little reason Dre and getting no sleep so [ __ ] y'all so so so wait were you at in your mind frame like at that time I mean the expectations of East Coast dudes rocking with dr. Dre at the time was a lot you know and um so it's a platinum if it didn't do three or four platinum it went platinum on I got gold black yeah I had no idea that it is actually in platinum I'm now but your platinum sure yeah so so what's your view had and I needed you on that album yeah thank you is our guy you know I'm talking like that leave it song I'm leaving so here's this song that really was our presence in the streets in New York that was the only song off the album that went crazy on mix shows at night was this that's all in at first some of the some of the people was like you know you bring it to many Queens guys into this it's true yo wait why are you bringing them in for that tapenade and um I said now he gotta be on the joint so and I can do some ovaries all this okay cuz they was acting like the production was too big for us forbid single we had involved singers and it cars flying off the roof and all that [ __ ] he levelled it and that was just our vision also just knowing that he's the one that's coming so the classic record I don't know what they single maybe we still gone we still gone right they single it a little bit I don't know what they single in the second thing like a plane coming in right now I'm going like this we don't still go cuz you the King and see okay now we're here so if you had if you had one album we got to a shot we need me to do shots this is terrible this is silly what we don't like we're not we're not new shots with everybody you can pick your poison we don't have to say what it is you know you pick it off camera pick it off camera I'm head to handy you wanted I tell you some yeah nice you the only [ __ ] that could make me drink Hennessy no I last time I drink Hennessy old flapper it's not a new flat boys Oh black boys so we gonna do honey listen this let's listen nothing out here this is beautiful man keeping it real [Applause] let's keep it real let me tell you something I had so many fights before illmatic came out and we're mad it came out Angola had at least two weeks I didn't fight Wow because [ __ ] is like ah yeah Queens [ __ ] got it wow why everybody always why they always try to bully Queens and I got let's not force my soul care rest you made a lot of killers told me I made a lot of killers person that Queens it was not funny man does not funny salut you know what no we don't want you to go away to have to tell you that we love you we don't want to have to you go to wait something happen to you to tell you that you appreciate it here right now your flowers is deserved now we know you got all delays but you know what every now and then we gotta say thank you because you know thank you man if it wasn't for Matic there won't be no nori and that's the real [ __ ] [Applause] you know what my MC name was before illmatic or now I was sad MC yahoo with the ball the beam wouldn't work I needed this I need to know how you make up these words I'm gonna take you so what do you see what y'all one day yo I don't know if you had that Nordica van I believe and you came and you picked me up and me and this [ __ ] both didn't know how to roll weeds you don't look at me different but for like two weeks I was not as we rolled up we did not have a driver's license I got him out a few years ago and jumbo still smoking bogies still he's [ __ ] bull we go get jungle to stop smoking bogies and I'm gonna get a job as like sis please let's do that so your favorite Aryan hip-hop even the one washout I mean I'm into that you don't have to if you don't want to I'm wish you your favorite area hip-hop you have to pick one error one error one arrow be honest be honest be honest can I put them in order how do you want oh [ __ ] what the Run DMC Fat Boys that show was magical to me man early early eighties coochie coohcie rap like before Kool G Rap ever um LL Cool J's original I need to be hmm because the words he was using he had to go to the dictionary and I was like okay it's real and then he dropped I needed the rock the bells the new one that we all know today that was crazy so so so that error right there was like him and MC Shan was like um it was real crazy cuz I walk to the record store and buy the record hmm so um the Mara was crazy to me that's number one that's number one somebody Ellis thing that I ever mentioned on drink champs was I told a person that if you want to study hip-hop I think you should start from Illmatic and then gold backwards Oh remember I said that so at first I thought everybody was gonna like that's blasphemy ironically it's only a couple of people who said it was blasphemy but everybody because the thing about it is and this is all due respect our forefathers it really wasn't saying champagne and kidding [ __ ] in you know I'm saying like sometimes that's what we need to relate to could kill us in like a Donald Goines book so I say that like if you study Illmatic and then Goethe so cool reverse engineer reverse engineer yeah and ironically I only had two people who disagree with me that's very crazy I'm a fan of this show and I saw you guys interview K rs.100 and he says some words that humble me down citizen to the floor and I'm talking about you yes sir and I love the conversation you had you told him that he created a lot of killers and queens I said just to bring him on his show and talk about the art of it it's like it's like that's what I love to see so I don't know I really I really appreciate you though my brother let me just tell you something man and a lot of ways you broke my career because of the album you made and I follow this to you birthmark deep and moth deep kind of burps at the CNN and I will always do that so when you got on a Lost Tapes on the Lost Tapes you actually got a tribute to prodigy yes yes well there's a grease with politics yes is about this Christmas politics but it's love to him this tomorrow I do a little more man come on come on I go find you like valet and me man give me give me come on man you like disrespecting me in front of all these people man I'm a man so you gotta join Queensbridge politics now this is because the thing about Lost Tapes is is taped through different periods so was that a old record that was that was last year oh I did that yeah Wow can you talk about the memorials in here oh and oh yeah yeah that was last year um I never I never thought we'd lose P right and he lost some too soon may recipes um yes we can make noise for that yes [Applause] you know we it's hard to get into it cuz he's not here right you know so it's a lot of things that went on that I wish never happened right so that you even say I wish you'd never wrote that book in the ROM you said yeah yeah yeah that was but you never know why people do certain things you know so I think he was probably going through a lot of pain right but almost politics at every hood you know how it is politics of every hood is what it is so if I would have finished that song if I were really it'd have been four or five minutes long to really get into a lot of the history that I did I watched following up a lot of people that taught me a lot I would have to get into yeah goddamn it man I see this shot goddamn it goddamn it you take a Tennessee man Tennessee got out nice man huh yeah so like as a kid you've grown up loving him to see you you [ __ ] job [ __ ] his feet deal like that's crazy you got Hennessy and like Yoko yo can tell them [ __ ] they'd like to put me off the blacklist you said Naik yeah what's you mean what's that yeah I put you on a black blue steel on a blacklist can you help me out have an Aikido blackboard cuz you know like remember when the firm actually dispersed right and it came time to nos they stand on its own I remember almost each and every member like actually accusing maybe you or the industry of that a blackballed in them a black ball do you think that exists a black ball and exists organized it's really basically people just saying don't [ __ ] with that person so you think it's more organizing that um no I don't think it's that deep but I uh I don't think it's that deep I mean it what what is black ball at night if somebody sitting on a black boy you you gonna let him but right you just black ball me so I don't really care about it so I'm sure people people tell me all the times you try to blackball you sign they try to write i don't faze me because i'm not letting nobody stop me so people probably try to pull the rug from under my feet a couple of times people probably pull the rug on everybody feet right if you let them stop you he waiting built for this game my goddamn interior because so so Lost Tapes ooh a party recently at mass appeal office yeah and you said you have enough for three and four I do hey I'm legal is this you got records yeah I'm not like three and four no come on let's go let's go and smell you let's go you got three and four and besides here with normal albums I got yeah I do Jesus with some big artists features and I can drop another one with features because this one the two are kept it no features the next one production is the features on production definitely I got loves to all of those guys on but there's nobody really there's nobody rapping with me but the next one the features are crazy on the top part three yeah okay let me ask you one question yes sir is there anybody that said no denies like is there anybody cuz I feel like you're a finger pop Jesus I'm just throwing it out there basically anybody ever said no like like yo I ain't [ __ ] with you or not a [ __ ] what you like beating call back Carlos Santana semana like somebody weird come on now pick somebody weird chapo don't do that say ja rule because I'm gonna be [ __ ] upset I'm just playing nice I'm sorry I'm on right now I did I didn't ask for a lot of I didn't really ask for a lot to be turned down mmm certain people I won't dare call cuz I just know they're not gonna probably do it like who you who you wink oh oh oh I want to know this I see you flex with Madonna [ __ ] so I know you went to your [ __ ] come on let's go [Applause] who would who would not be nervous to call I want to notice that I want thing cuz you said it in Iran you got naked pictures of God so like I don't know you don't know that so saying they go no one like did you had a call God your God text message say y'all y'all is I - so no one's never frontal wrong you never wanted a feature that you never got sorry somebody somebody had to say no I can't baby shot I don't probably be her yeah I don't think I called a for record crazy I don't think I would call the FloorMate great I got it okay Prince I got it I got who is it prints recipes prints soon as you said prints everything got purple to me right here no answer for because I probably answer like hello I saw him okay because he came to my I am album release party and no princess Prince right so was he flowing he was it was any others bad joint with him mm and I was like yo that chick from the last dragon like that nice keep going so she walked in with a baloney okay the same on their nice small story joy your life let's go I can't now I was wanted on and I just you know I said it I said it I pulled the nori move I said you know let's do this Jesse I saw and he was like you know do you own your masters [Applause] buddy blew my [ __ ] because I was like a dog and I'm far from it because over this label about four or five albums I was like here drop to Joe laughter Joe he he kind of helped me see the future and he was like when you own your masters give a slow clap not a slow clap that's what you like that's hard but but we um we kicked it a few times we got cool he was seriously very cool due to me he invited me on stage to perform I was like I can't go out there you know like oh like you know you know Chris might had his ass house like you Lonsdale menace that's one of the gods man yeah but yeah um he I think everybody wants to work with him so the pressure that he had from everybody what he turned Michael Jackson down yeah depressing yeah for people want to work with him was crazy yeah so whoa hold up damn oh we love print stories on this you didn't have it give us a print story was half I said he made a beat for prints okay sorry you went to why you owe me like and you worked with Kanye you didn't work with the regular Kanye you work with mega hat Kanye about that or you just eclipse like you know what let me let this we can be crazy Oh genius man I woulda be full minute right now like I'll take a beat I'm gonna tell him take the head off Nicaragua I'm sorry so so he called me and he's like we always talked about him producer my album I'm like he's like you're you ready to do this album I was like yeah just do this at one service I could figure out the schedule um once we figured out schedule before we started working he wanted to announce album hmm and aside cool cuz that makes this it puts the pressure on makes us house delivered album the next day is when the Trump thing went crazy so I my phone's ringing yo you're the witness line because you know why you like you like the hood save yeah I don't know if you you ever accepted this pressure but whatever nas do we do if nas writing like we rock like nas rock silk shirts you rock silk shirts if not gonna have more than apart think I just stopped getting a half whenever you do we do so if I'm just curious like yeah I even had that talk or Jesus was like you know what let the music like me everywhere I don't not getting a studio where I don't talk about [ __ ] it's so Bob music I don't took my subways Publix winn-dixie Piggly Wiggly none of that [ __ ] with that [ __ ] we just stick stick with musically that's all we got a combination string well um so did you even like talk about that because all you just like [ __ ] to stick with the music who's that I work on JB the Magna Hat did he come he didn't come into the maggot hat right no even crazy business you gotta step it up yeah that was that was that was [ __ ] cuz um you know he got his uh he got his ways of thinking and doing things you know that's so it is what he is like nowadays is called trolling do you you know you know what rollin means I know you rich well you know what's wrong referrals to yeah this wrist rolls fifties of wrist roll I would say that the Kanye's in wrist roll I think that Kanye is a troll do you understand we trying to say his way I don't do [ __ ] like that he sees he's a genius at what he does he pisses people off but he's a good brother good brother well I've got to take another shot um come on come on mr. Lee your investments I don't I don't wanna take up my daughter channel it's about loss too so I wanna get into that but I'm here investments ring yeah I got that in my door right now I use your investments what else you be a part of this trial box little lip ring my son got a blip right now come on I just heard you say what was the anthony son I suppose like I always say they non-dyslexic his lecture no you know I'm proud to be dyslexic [ __ ] it like at this point this is let me just roll well what was it they say you know why we started doing investments I wanted to do that from watching TV as a kid I wanted to I wanted to be a businessman when I was a kid like I wanted an office and a briefcase and an assumed and and I wanted to connect us I wanted to make big things happen I want to see things happen I always wanted to be that you know you know life takes you to another direction you go to music and then after a while comes back around he's like I got time now before I didn't have no time I got Tom down so it's like so like the kid on internet I got time today come today it's the same as judo in our life it's the same as you you're a businessman no no I'm gonna Lana's I follow you like imma be honest um I want is it whoa that's it hit me do in a different way that's a hit different that's a different got them so uh it still hit me all right let me get my life together wait for one more so I'm not gonna lie you see on you transition and like becoming the full-fledged business man that you are it's so inspiring it's so like inspirational because I remember like me you and jungle just you know sitting in Justin's and Ian fried fried chicken and just like talking about it and I'm gonna tell you something that I know you don't remember or you maybe you have I've filmed you in Jungle and um we were talking about this is backpack hip-hop at the time we all hated backpacking about the time I won't say what it was who it was oh say who it was but you know she told me what you said yo one day they gonna pay you for it before your conversation you are Nostradamus that's that's your gift your wordplay is crazy bro that's why your flow is crazy that's why would you yes yeah well tell you when when you know I remember I met you in also a D&D studio you came to meet me and you told me you what was going on in your business and and what you wanted to go on up and I'm said I'm with you yeah and the whole his whole you know re arm he was there for that like yeah we got you yes go you know so anybody that want to complain and say somebody's holding me back this is a this is proof we're proof no one can hold was destined to be nobody so what you did was what I did we got here we came we saw we conquered anything else is [ __ ] [Applause] because I know what he was getting at with that no not because you know I see so many people because I mean all of us as rappers we have people who we want to bring and and bring with us for sure within these certain people that don't want to work but they think they still deserve to be there the thing is you just gotta just put in yourself so I follow your footsteps you know I'm saying and I follow what she was doing so you know what man we got any more questions I mean I want to keep talking about okay how you was gonna do body in the trunk okay now I just think that it's important for people to understand like the evolution of how we can divide diversify as ourselves and what other things like you said we're doing podcasts in your doing the announced this massive pail deal - okay did I know she go right there to announce it you just announced it let's - all right locations are right now on the case yeah I don't know every time you hear drink champs that [ __ ] is gonna be on mass appeal makes up [Applause] no family such a beautiful energy yes good and we want you to know nice let me tell you something let me tell you something listen just because we down what mass appeal or whatever you still you're the biggest artist in one of the biggest artists in the world to me the biggest artists in the world cuz I'm pleased and to me I say that you could you could have went anywhere but you came to us and I pause um really I really appreciate it yeah yeah because a lot of people don't know they thinking it we just do this now you showed up to our main headquarters in Miami yeah like you serious yes immerse their to tour yes I gotta come see my guys I never did it before his family topic the time it could have been better I like I said I'm a fan of this show yeah I love what you guys do I think there's no show like this in the game I guess pure is right and drinking this is this Grand Slam it's beautiful yeah so I couldn't wait to be on the show I saw Steve Stoute on the show yes yes he's crazy arrest one I saw man was DMV so you know keep doing your thing yeah my man I just want to thank you so much because you're not a whole legend I you know they'd be like Lincoln gal here with a whole baby yeah let's be real I'll record though yeah got Lost Tapes - yeah you won't have with you dream champs with Nas part - you know what you know what it's so perfect you know what I'm going go on for six hours once again I just want to say thank you you know I'm saying because at the end of the day certain people don't have to do what they got to do to keep hip-hop going like you at a level where you can say you know what I can say on Wall Street - still here you still making shows vince's with [ __ ] like us trying to get apartment and oh my god yeah and I just want to thank you because in case you don't know what you mean the hip-hop if it wasn't for knives there wouldn't be a whole genre of music there wouldn't be a mob deep there wouldn't be a opponent Noriega there wouldn't be a deluxe there wouldn't be there is a lot of people that you burped with that drug dealer [Applause] 14:13 so I know you don't buy somebody in the trunk do you were maybe made buddy in the truck hell yeah I wish they hang a lot a lot needs to take me to seafood place [Applause] yes that you always had a style about him he could be in the hood you know how to spin [ __ ] and then we go do the flat [ __ ] so Bobby the truck yeah that was us in a studio just what just want to make records know this I will be honest this what you said to me because we have had like seven records in town and I don't know if you I know but none of y'all [ __ ] in this room is lucky enough to have several records with knives I so relax so and I said yo let's do a concept record so the whole time we're driving angle I got out of control okay see you you and in fact we're ready okay well I would jungle and the shop house so they keep they keep battling each other use the body in the trunk y'all it's a body in a trunk and then it is so I walk in the studio with you and I'm like yo um son would each take you let's do a concept record sounds like haiku we start taking a contest I went to the bathroom they still out there [ __ ] yeah I came back in I said he'll do did you hear what they talking about you're like nah said yo he keeps talking about some body in the trunk he's like that's perfect for the concert that's my [ __ ] that's my [ __ ] right there that was a crazy joint because it was like he had like to a movie part in it yeah the sound effects yeah the feed the stupid dumb y'all so make a movie right all the time he I hear him talking that [ __ ] turn to a song oh [ __ ] then they could be later he get a little for the whole [ __ ] executive producer because you know what and I'm gonna be honest I'm be honest oh oh oh oh you more because you know what as a fret as a flag as a friend in the game what happened was I took the whole album on my own and yeah thing I didn't take over but I came over and just let me know you did used to helping me with the spices over here and over here and the incredible bro yes yes you couldn't do thank you I can't do what you do grow thank you my brothers what it is so listen everybody if you flew before we could add it we've also got a big up not only a we gonna break news mass appeal yes title in the build a play right there we say something to the people real quick good friend of mine named Peter for massive pill he said to me I don't even think he knows he he said this to me but he I mean knows that this was a heavy weighing on us we had a heavy deal what i heart radio i don't get too crazy detail alright chill [ __ ] I know what I'm doing but Peter says sound crazy to me who's in Bahamas and he said I heart ain't gonna get y'all y'all gonna do something crazy in our heart ain't going to be there and as wild as that's just sound it was very simple we know we say while [ __ ] we know that any other show can be censored and can be tamed we know this so instead of our heart he chose [ __ ] mass appeal [Applause] I know Peter didn't know what he said when he said that he said he said that [ __ ] to me and he said it enough so nonchalantly but it made so much sense because God because the thing about it is I want everybody listens to this not because it'll be because I'm ill the way you appreciate it Oh were you celebrated well go will you tolerate it [Applause] like I rather be with my people like I never had business I never I never had dreams of doing business with Warren Buffett or Steve Jobs or things like that my thing was I want to do business with Puff Daddy I want to do business with nods I want to do business with whole because that's who I look up to and that's who I can see myself becoming so no disrespect but why go to Spotify why go I don't got that guy's number I don't even know who's mr. Spotify let me tell you there's nothing more hip-hop did I kill that [ __ ] killed a little more hip bother to say say a cubic here from Miami that's right tuck that [ __ ] isn't at the table with legends nonetheless and then we can announce a monumental deal in hip hop trades revolt revival and mass appeal damn it [Applause] let's take you so much I want to thank the mass appeal staff Jeff to add to Peter so uh Tim is so many of them um I forgot the London girl forgot a name what's her name oh this was the name the London girl - accident the publicist okay a while go to the tight little bit up to or bolt Robin and everybody [Music]
