let's go and we might get your deal if you say you could clip my toenails don't do it one luck what it could be hopeless for the stupidest is your boy and oh lucky what up his DJ EF and this is dream chance [ __ ] podcast makes up now now when we start this podcast you said we want we want to enter our interview legends we want people that's been out this game I've been in this game for 10 years or more and there's still monkey foot stomping people like to come under the table come with the dirty timberlands on the other side of your mouth this guy's been doing stand-up had his first gig at 14 or some [ __ ] like this man is still a random baby he's little def Comedy Jam before you even knew what Def Jam plus he's been out here he's been for Jerry Maguire there's a little type of different movies to MADtv one of the longest-running cast members yeah when you take the King of Comedy [Applause] as impressions in the world occasionally she is the crazy thing about you is a lot of people say they have rich history in comedy write it you actually have rich into being comedy like I mean from the beginning like you know going like did you have the first gear at 14 or was a 60 started at 40 I'm starting at 40 so what was that comedic it was being or just being entertainment ah you know how straight comedy I start you know I came up through the ranks of Jersey in New York right Bill Bellamy club's fortunes that come in Newark indical Blues peppermint lounge East Orange I'm so sorry I would come back but your first show was at Uptown comedy club what's that truth than all of you we're about to I was like oh you know okay yeah I first went to the improv with my mother and my sister back when you had to draw the numbers out of a hat so we all put in numbers none of us got it some you know feeling deflated but I tried he pulled my mom's aside said you know they got uptown comedy club in Harlem we jumped on the train went up there was about a car club I can't remember what's the numbers that were you putting them so that mean just put draw numbers in a hat open mic no come on so I didn't get that swell set go down right and uh you know I really didn't even have material in I just would do like like impressions so I did like James Brown started doing impressions we get from the game yes yeah that was my I'm a tease baby so I when I'm watching Eddie on SNL and uh Eddie was doing the impressions thing my first impression either was Louis Armstrong because my mother's a jazz blues singer well moms and pops to play that and Pop's is getting it in well when I heard potato but I don't you saved about so you know I'm a tease baby I grew up on TV so Eddie was my first heavy influence in fact so I just went to the Uptown and I did like three impressions doing Pepsi commercials blah and you know from the bug bit knee I killed it in I was I've been in it ever since man so yeah so um I'm sorry I'm doing around because it was okay it was different for me because when I became a CEO I realized that that was one of the things that these people don't want is to waste your time so I always I always be on top of the week let me get back to you right because one of the illest things that I thought I watched you all day today so literally you've been on my mind this whole day right one of the things that you said that was very interesting to me you say when the person doesn't stand up that's supposed to be all you supposed to be one-on-one with the audience yeah and there's certain people who have helped do you still feel that that way or is it because the best ones don't have because let me just tell you why I watched like three a young trying deeply happy in tears thank you so I'm sitting around like dinner so I can understand you're frustrated not hurt you say it at first yeah I didn't understand it till I see it and I said I can understand how are you bust your ass yeah when you see you literally retold abyss ha [ __ ] tastes like cold french fries so I'm just saying so you talk about ghost riding yeah yeah because asically great so I look at it like R&B right like foot then when I heard your point of view and you say a man if I go out there and I'm busting my ass like oh you expect that it's decimal you still fail or yeah I mean cuz it's like look I can and maybe that's a question for you to answer well he's different in the rap game because I know some rappers have ghosts right way no but I know how to like I know from comedy the the best smartphone is is you because you know every every comment wants to come out and have a joke be a grand slam home run that's always the intention right but that's not always the case from the time you say hello to the time you say goodnight and everything in between yeah we want every joke to be a Mike Tyson punch from ladies we all want everything the right but you know what you sit there as an artist and you wanted that piece of clay you looking for perfection looking for your piece to be the Mona Lisa right and it's like if someone comes along and gives you like sometimes when you do a joke you might not have it where it's perfect yet you missing a key ingredient whether it's a facial expression a physical move a one-liner and if somebody comes to you and goes hey do this do this face this little this little thing right here and that's the difference between where your [ __ ] was here to now here that's you oh that's them that's the steroids I'm I just gave you the steroid to make you do what you got to do so for you to be able to take on your own chord and create that [ __ ] with no help to where you got a classic that's you you're the artist you're the only one that did that but if somebody gives you that key ingredient to make your gumbo the winning gumbo hmm it is it is it is it you that's not saying it's either or wrong or right I mean it depends on from an artist an individual it's on the individual you know what you striving for right you know I'm saying like what I talked about you know the Kevin Hart situation mother's like well you know Richard Pryor had Paul Mooney collection Paul Mooney wrote for Richard Pryor on the Richard Pryor show that's a TV show that's not stand-up right for a TV show there's a lot of parts in that it's an ensemble cast you need writers TV it's right if you look for stand-up that's box and that's you nobody in that ring but you that's how it should be yeah I didn't like when you said it no no i really suggest people go what like look up what you do because the thing about it is like you know I got to look at the comments because this is what I got in the room cuz I'm gonna cut your problem but even I even had somebody saying the YouTube comments when I said that okay well Don if you look at the credits for raw it says Robert Townsend then key and I knew ants they didn't write his stand-up they wrote the skit in the beginning kick them in the ding-ding thank you that's what they did any woman is old Stan and even Paul who he said any of you I don't write for Richard Richard was a genius you watch Richard Richard I would watch Richard go bigger that's genius stop with that goddamn white men made noises like that Oh craziest lies you I heard you say it was you said everybody is a little bit racist yeah now I agree with that but I want to correct the statement because racist implies that you have some type of power so I want to say everybody's prejudice yes Irene was president so who look up the real definition of racism that's a Paul Mooney Paul man you spoke on that saying you know when you look up racist by definition I can't be raised about are you right yes so so when I heard you say that and I'm so sorry too tough to my people but if I was you know go outside right now and I was to see a new person get to a car accident it doesn't matter who loved the first each other like my biggest that first like I'm just saying I've never seen the agent um actually get into an accident but but what I've heard I think that they're not just address racism because they're real said now that's the very same insights the stereotypes exist because there's truth le single person when there's a good amount of number boys course you know I always tell people it's like look do all black women have fat asses no I've seen black women would acts as flat as a notebook paper it's like maybe there's white tigers in the wild it's the white tigers no stereotypes personally certain stereotypes this Lodge Bisset denim you know I'm saying like like us like in chicken like black beans how am i funny without stereotypes - Melissa speed is about we got a fellow - yes a white people love chicken - but it's more of a passion with us and that's why we keep hot sauce or not glove component keep it hot sauce bigot that's Barry James yeah frankly are you a French guy I've got a spicy ketchup [ __ ] step off Oh Lord oh you so you can do a born in Jersey is that karate or the New York then you moon and jelly I did move a pleasure seat in La Casa de la how how white and now as you moved to LA you were in the business correct yes so how different was that come from the East Coast you still look like a straight up New York I moved out to LA um you know a lot of New Yorkers look down on LA but when I moved there I was eighteen seventeen so everything became mine for the first time first piece of [ __ ] first house first car my first independence so now lay has become my home because I grew up there in a sense of becoming a man when I was in Jersey in New York I was living in my mama house so I was still under her roof and her rules and regulations and New York we got Porter Biggie's in LA you got messy mexican lucky Mexican question I'm not Spanish they my two kids a baby mothers Puerto Rican and you know then you know Mexican girls stay cool but you know the [ __ ] be happy with the drawing the face on Rican women newborn equals have a different kind of sex is always attached to East Coast I love their light man I do man I love LA - man let me ask you something you said at one point that white people are actually the drink champs like the white oh yeah because like they they drink different well they drink to get nice we've gotta stay this is one time I felt like white privilege what they were walking through and I'm walking with him obviously and we're walking through somewhere I know we're not supposed to walk through this purple is there so the police officer says any guy who's gotta get out of there he said what Law Offices of stuff so 1444 your client because of you you see all the clips on YouTube with some brothers stand their ground with the cops and they say if you give me your badge number and they break down what I know what the law is right hats off to you brothers but that's down that's it that's a brazen mistake you can state the law and you stand your ground but the [ __ ] will kill you so you planned roulette with your life well you know what I'm saying right it's like you we've been through the law we know more better than anybody well that's a dangerous game very dangerous very dangerous so what would what what was the best thing about comedy besides you released in your pain because that's what I starts to notice what I started to do today was I'm obsessed of the search you and when I search you other names come up so I start to look and I start to notice that this is it that you guys have to go through some type of dramatic thing to write something funny about it or it just comes naturally when you're writing your material I think the best one was it just comes naturally you know like anything else I don't care what kind of artist you are sports but rapping sing and dance and comedy write the best [ __ ] is organic when it flows is Michael Jordan would say you know let you know don't chase the game let it come to you you know Sam relax and I mean comedies moist now you know we had a moist era you know what pull the same curve well they have to watch what they say I'm Floridian with my comedy I say am i ground they can [Applause] I'm playing a weird game because everybody's look like conform to the status quo because everybody is worried about the climate of sensitive I really really believe that this [ __ ] is gonna be a backlash and it's gonna come back around and when it does I want people you people to be able to say he never wavered there's always him while some people go well such-and-such seems different now cuz they're trying to match the climate and I don't have a woman Marlon Wayans he said he said he doesn't care about people's feelings like it was lawless he's funny like he don't care like if he hurt somebody's feelings in the process if you said because you know everyone's so sensitive right now yeah and the thing about it you before like you think is it handcuffs on comedy because cuz of that I know you outside the box but I think it's handcuffs on comics but if you let it be but I know what I'm saying I'm not gonna let it be because I just but first of all you know Hollywood don't like me much anyway so what the [ __ ] I look like trying to song and dance and do jazz hands approval I don't have to begin with okay so you know I'm gonna continue to do it how I do it and hopefully not going wooden it comes around you know I'm saying I'm not gonna I'm not gonna switch my [ __ ] up so I can fall in love with everybody else that's corny to me you know I'm saying you say it seems like it's beyond Hollywood it's like becoming the status quo the political correctness [ __ ] but listen man I look at it like prohibition-era you know this is America anybody that knows the history of this country Americans are arrogant we don't like to be told what we can again do so it's like prohibition it's like people want to drink they're gonna have a good time they don't want another take away from having a good time so if being not politically correct and saying wild [ __ ] because that's how you feel provides an entertainment for an audience people are gonna want that cause they're gonna get tired of being told off political correctness and it's gonna backlash and when it does like I said I want to be one of the people that they go also you know he stood his ground he didn't fake it I see one special you said that you said you said I say the N word I say the F word and a C word yes like [ __ ] well I make for the midgets it seemed that comedy would be the pinnacle or it's supposed to supposedly the u.s. stands for no you know what they named a group of mines called the retards but I was very scared yeah it's true call the total retards no no no first of all I was in a game called the [ __ ] when I became famous all the dump its name in the world but let me just go with it but then I was like damn or blew a fuse requisite to you say wait they can't worry about politically correctness I mean I was [Applause] like yeah and I was like you know what sir people were offended but I didn't mean it how they how they was taking it right I meant it in like you know we were taught it not that [ __ ] this [ __ ] yes you do a joke no I see my balls uh you know how black people keep hot sauce and a golf compartment it's like [ __ ] I keep skip peanut butter in case I'm running to a [ __ ] [ __ ] funny about it when I've had people show up in my at my shows that are mentally challenged [ __ ] they love it they want to be made fun of just like they don't want to be looked at his victims down nobody wants to be in seclusion from you know being a part of what's deemed and everybody else you know that [ __ ] is there such thing as gone too far on comedy yeah but like Dave Chappelle said you don't know where the line is till you cross it so you gotta cross it I do a joke right now Wow make fun of dr. King didn't assassinate it cuz really he was on the balcony after he was eatin [ __ ] in the motel room my blackness tonight like I know to this day did not do it listen remember our accident murderers I've been around purpose murderers OJ ain't got it in them I don't know if it's not blackness taking over this little bit but now this look does make me nobody's read on [ __ ] like like I didn't notice that I don't think he did it I'm still seriously don't think he did it like I know he did I really did but really I really don't think Michael Jackson didn't either I asked you what white what like that are you really saying him and Michael didn't do it cuz that's [ __ ] black and I've never met Michael I met OJ and they were certainty now he could be a great actor he did do neck a gun this masterpiece my brother's doing so so but I didn't come on you know I know people who have that bad gene in them that bad such as a and a you know I'm trying to look at it it's either he's a great actor or he really don't have that it into him now I can't say that he liked the person that did it no friend didn't come after and say I did it and he said he held it down from there but him actually doing it I just can't see if you take Mark Kelly did it oh yeah okay let me tell you why let me tell you what I also did a record while Kelly I be honest tell the truth it's the only record that I got the so over ten million I have no other recognized so I keep my plaque so when I went to record our Kelly it's actually the same story that Puff Daddy had he was actually playing a basketball I'm in Chicago and I'm like I didn't feel the port like what the [ __ ] of my waiting around watching this grown-ass man play [ __ ] basketball so he said you just go to studio later verse so I went to the studio and in each studio I saw a bad mind you about that notice a bad our studios wonder that's abnormal mixing have no beds and no [ __ ] studio but but they they get some money the thing was this I just came from Bearsville best fear was the place where you you be secluded for two months and you had actual you know bedrooms in the studio because you slept there so it never run the long to me until I watched the documentary when I watched that documentary and he was like he's girl had nice to do that oh but that's the reason why I believe our anti actually stitch seen him eat somebody's ass what's on video Debbie's at down age girl yeah you all see that [ __ ] so yeah I believe odd didn't help I believe but on the juice I don't believe did it and Mike I don't believed in it you think that's my blackness a little bit you know we would be set on how to protect our especially our heroes because they tear our heroes down so much so it's it's an instinct an internal instinct tomorrow just said you didn't believe bill 289 like so yeah you don't have did 94 you said damn Bill Cosby did for black people because of The Cosby Show absolutely such you know an accomplishment they lost photos in the map on a sophisticated level so you know there again is an automatic today and he predicted Brooklyn would be justified yes cuz he was in using a nice part of group but no one no part of Brooklyn that was if the people get caught up in celebrity so much that they act like celebrities are immune from having sicknesses you know saying they gotta be a regular person that have a sick fetish would be [ __ ] up it's just them [ __ ] got money but they got the fame so what was he doing he was slipping Mickey's [ __ ] I want you to drink this special cocktail this is underwear it was funny about the real situation not to make fun of it but the thing about it was he denounced hip-hop he said I didn't know comedians who cursed and use the n-word yeah so it's crazy that when it came back to it that's what I needed in his [ __ ] corner was he the famous female comedian told me a story that Bill Cosby actually tried to shut def Comedy Jam down oh you try to talk to deal he didn't want and he had said that he did some radio interview with DL Hughley and he even had his people get a hold of the tape but he didn't want Def Jam to happen cuz of all the profanity and he was worried that black people was gonna make us look bad with all the [ __ ] jokes Wow he's the biggest some [ __ ] hey hypocrites you don't think there's no truth to that conspiracy that he was about to buy something worse man what I hear I see when I hear black people say that I think that's absolutely ridiculous they said people go well he couldn't afford and he couldn't afford NBC or he was wondering listen they wasn't selling it there was enough for sale he could have afforded it but they not saw that white people are not giving away power and to be able to project how black people are seen all over the world from an image that's power we're not gonna give him that kind of power they let Harvey pay his way out ha the quality pay his way out and this was eat [ __ ] from ya last year right yeah and Bill see this 20 years ago they got him do in time they do [ __ ] dirty they could you make this even rich [ __ ] won't even rich in rich things up do not make it they will lock you up with your money so man right there um comedy is is is is is such a contact sport I didn't realize it till I'm actually going through this you guys damn they're taking the [ __ ] of rappers right now like you think I've got Bigfoot each other like you know I don't really know about that I'll be I mean you know there's this small little things here and there but I'm you know I've never had a beef really but anybody you know I've been opinionated about [ __ ] if people take that as beef but I've never officially said oh I don't like this cat or I have a problem with this cat like I said I'm just opinionated and and [ __ ] be so delicate now that it's almost like having an opinion means you're a hater not going with the grain means you a hater that's like why am I wrong just because I don't agree with your assessment oh you can have your opinion sometimes with it sometimes it just can't be publicly because anytime you have your voice their opinion publicly and a person can publicly react to that opinion and then it just keeps going on but every sometimes if I have something bad to say about something or if I don't like something about somebody I just don't say it because I know think on a ticket as I'm hating as opposed to having that opinion well I know but I think that's unfortunate that you should be you have to shun yeah your thoughts because you worried about being labeled a hater you know I think that's one of the most overused words in the world it's like you know I could be one thing if I said oh this person is is is garbage as a comedian and again I've never said that about anybody that I've been accused of saying that about I just had a difference of opinion you know I'm saying sometimes I could recognize the genius said of comic but he don't necessarily make me laugh I'm not saying he's a bad comic because you don't do it for me but I see the genius I see the genius in it you know so how about you because you've heard your opinions on people getting goes those written for anybody how about you have people come to you and say your area I want you to write this for me I want you to help out with this this yeah and then what's your stance on that yeah what's that yeah and I say no I can't be your voice you know I'm saying plus for me to write for you I'm too busy gonna be thinking about how I would do it to make it as funny as it could be and what I might give it you might not be comfortable with you know saying I can make a suggestion and if you follow it that's saying that towards stand-up but it's okay but if a person come to you for a movie that's great but stand-up you wanted to come from yeah mangas again like I said by my heroes in life Michael Jordan Ali Tyson and I are I try to approach my comedy like Tyson in the 80s like I said I want like every joke to try to knock your head into the nosebleeds you know I don't want no soft spots and my set like when I look at some of the greatest rappers you know you buy knives album a jay-z album I Jadakiss album from track 1 to 22 you might get one tracks or two that you go alright but the rest you like yo there's no weak spots so I don't want to be one of these comments who come out and do an hour you go fifteen minutes was great the other ten yeah and then the next five was kind of strong I want from hello - good night for you to be checking your tear ducts and I think you're getting a hag workout I'm trying to destroy it you was killing this so let me ask you what do you like more being off film like like courting like movies or things like that or being honest and you know how long they all got they they they blessings and they curse from a stand up from an ego standpoint you know nothing is more gratifying than being a comedian cuz I saw you your producer the writer director you just are you do a movie and a TV show them as the writers words alright sometimes it's the director's vision that they give you in terms of direction sometimes it's a producers call you know so it ain't all you which can be a good thing too because it's like a team sport you playing off your man and if you got a good teammate who knows how to hit you with the no-look or the whip whap you know and they make your game better and then better than doing a scene with an actor and this [ __ ] so tight you gotta tighten up your game so now you're not you're on the same team but you competing yeah I mean cuz he's like okay I got to step my [ __ ] up cuz this [ __ ] a beast we're stand up is you you alone man rises rise a fail you know you alone did you feel that in man theory like what was that absolutely and you know I'd the cry had again if we were and put it in basketball terms we was like a championship team you know we knew we knew where we had to be we knew each other's weaknesses each other's good spots we knew where the person like the ball so we just knew how to play off of each other in such a strong way that it made for a great show unfortunately you know we wasn't Saturday night laughs yo damn it damn it damn Bobby you loves you like you're you're just opposite like I said we would have competition but but the fact of the matter is no matter how good we were it's like you know the NFL versus the CFL you know Saturday Night Live is big leagues that's that's NFL man and and and you know the people that watched us would say you guys are way better than them but we ain't them and I'm saying they was the bully on the block but no matter how bad they were let me pick up the shower papers real quickly smoke with these out and maybe my smoking [ __ ] for you oh did you yes I did the smoke box would be real twice and I'm jacked out okay yeah [ __ ] you got this whole chance with you know not don't but let me pick up to be real because smoke box is very ill but I'ma be honest I don't like hot boxing even when I'm in my whip and I smoke I got a roll the window down a little bit so big him up and he does that [ __ ] every [ __ ] day no I'm saying every [ __ ] day so one thing you said you quoted a statistic you said Obama had ninety seven percent of the black vote yeah I didn't know that well yeah it was pretty much up there's pretty much all of it Wow yeah the ones who didn't vote for him was too cool [ __ ] to god that's crazy that's crazy man oh and you also said you don't smoke weed with agents someday [ __ ] is you know it's entertainment we would Easons but the punchline lies in the stereotype I mean yeah it dies yeah cuz you know I don't want to smoke with somebody who looks like they did and blow my eyes three quarters close now um I've heard you say this before and I'm very very curious to actually hear you say this in person you said that we thought you were blackballed at one point I still do okay now for people who's you know who's not aware of what blackballed means right right can you describe a black boy is and then not only that say why you fell you will you will be a bad boy you know blackballed is when they put you in the book you know I'm saying where it's like you know it don't matter how talented you are if you in the book then if they're not [ __ ] with you and listen do I do I know for a fact that I am of course not and every now and then you know I book a job here and there so maybe I'm not look but I don't think I'm on the top of the list when it comes time to cast for certain projects or whatever project and that's partly because you know again I'm again I'm opinionated man and I and I and I tend not to hold back right and then I you know I'm not out here trying to maliciously say things for effect I'm just telling you how I feel I'm telling you what I think and giving it to you honestly and and I talked a lot about racing interviews you know when I've done a lot of my flat TV interviews the thing I said about the white people in the Jedi mind trick you know when you read the comments by folks the mayonnaise people don't be happy you're on a main vein of that man that truth is tough but what we wasn't a specific moment we use like you know what I feel like I'm blackballed from this moment like no I'm not really a specific moment it's just it's just a vibe that I feel you know well actually here let me tell you Kevin Hart I think he still has a cartoon coming out where you know he dick that thing in his joke wiegel's all right all right all right and in the cartoon I auditioned for the role of his dad you know so you know kevin has his own voice obviously he's gonna do it like himself and I put a little flavour into what my interpretation of what his dad would become and I had hosted behavior in porn Awards I think was in last year I think there's a you hosted is that a porn portal we had a pre-party in LA come on how you get chosen for that though they just called my agent was like okay but um at the pre porn party my manager came up to me is I got to tell you the cartoon you audition for Kevin wanted you everybody wanted you you was on the you know fourth and goal and then the president of Fox said who oh not that guy yeah so you know and Kevin as powerful as he is he can't override the head of Fox so the president was just no not that guy you know what I mean so yeah and why would you think that would come from like because again [ __ ] did I say I only have like a personal relationship when you told him to suck your dick great tell the president of Mark someone dead no no that would be Dave Chappelle's I'm keeping it real nah man I just again when you look you could go through my whole glad TV catalog yeah yeah so you know and even on social media you know and I'm trying to get better with it but when I read comments about race and white people say certain things have rubbed me wrong or it's just so [ __ ] outlandish you know I go at home you know and I'm saying and even when black people anybody race as far as that concern says some while about me instead of just going ahead let me ignore it I turn in the Scarface balcony scene maybe that's a detriment you know maybe I need to stop doing that alright so um but you you've been a big productions fun like MADtv to Jerry Maguire oh where was the moment where you thought that you know what these people are leaning on me and they don't want to see me succeed and this is that where you win stronger to stand up cuz they can't control this thing well no I mean but stand up was the first thing that was the bread and butter so that that was always gonna come first um and again that's what I'm saying it's true yeah maybe I'm this boogeyman imagination going on because again there's not any one specific thing or there's nothing I can point to and go but sure I know that's the case good but my spidey sense is tingling there and I'm just some feels you know because for me to have been in this game for as long as I've been and for me and I don't want to come off like I'm you know on some cocky [ __ ] but for me to bring it the way I've brought it there's no [ __ ] reason why I shouldn't be bigger than what I am and I know that sounds vain but I don't mind saying that cuz I'm gonna rap on ya'll must still be acceptable the rappers have a green light to say I'm best and you know it's alright no I mean of comedy is slowly but surely we're mine to be more more of hip-hop every day because there's certain components that like before it was you start with me to give us all but one thing I would so like F show one night and he invited me so we went back there we bought a couple of bottles of backstage and the one thing that I did notice is that you guys actually stand you guys own rooms I don't oh okay I see I see and it's this day this is why I'm telling you like I'm I'm just cut different you know I'm saying like and what's so funny is the industry however they see me whatever that perception is anybody outside of that that's not in the Hollywood world like regular Joe blows will tell you I'm the coolest most humble [ __ ] in the world right like I'm not going to the comedy club and hiding out in the green room til it's show time you guys see me amongst people part of the reason at is its strategic I'm casing the joint I'm looking at the crowd going I'm a [ __ ] the third row need to be [ __ ] with cuz that out this is a potential problem I gotta have five jokes lined up until this cuz he feeling brave I'm watching let's get it so plus plus I want to send out the signal to the crowd that he's not like everybody else cuz they know most people stay in the green room and keep the fans have been you didn't give us off a vibe of nothing I'm better than you but you know I'm saying so I want them to feel or never had well then the colas so then on top of that if the jokes can match that now they can go then love you you gotta eat not the palm of your hand cuz they going not only is the [ __ ] super cool but he's funny as a [ __ ] so the more reason I can get them to invest in me there's a win now that's one thing man I kid you not I was going through as much as your scar defeat as much as I can and the movies you you're you're hilarious but I can tell 1 million percent nope they cannot publish you on that stage like there's not a lot of people like the way your timing the way you just sit around like you can tell you're comfortable in that you're like on the stage of how I'm comfortable to talk you get on and you're like you're really yeah is that what you is is that something that's that inspires you the crowd to play off the crowd yeah I mean listen one but one who wants to put a time ago my crowd work was none only to say I didn't do it ok I stuck to the script you know if I grabbed Harry Connick Joseph is like the playbook I wouldn't go outside to play I'm not calling a halt but if you really want to be great you should be able to do a little bit of all improv political humor race humor if you're getting wrong impressions as a specific thing but you should you should be I have every facet of your game tight and big shout out to Joe Torre and DL Hughley because they were two of the masters of crowd work Joel is a lot Joe I even heard recently where Joe dissing [ __ ] that even made me go on off I'll do that he was on stage and some body was [ __ ] up and he told them he made a joke about their mother and then the person said got mad say Amen don't talk about my mother my mother's dead but listen I've had [ __ ] wanna fight me you're gonna come back unless [ __ ] one with no hands but you either people way too quick for me after one thing in Orlando had on a sleeveless last time you seen a [ __ ] rocking dinner much less sleeveless ever better so I just kept making jokes about his sleeveless vest so finally he got mad towards ending the show and got himself for I'll be I'll be back I said what you gonna do come back and beat me with the sleeves [Applause] but I got off that stage the only thing stopped him from getting to me was the security cuz he was talking to security and let's see me come on scum sell my merch he rushed and security grabbed him up would ya men touched nerves we don't know if you know well show us about show is about giving people a flowers when they can smell them so only if you want to say how great you are you pass away you get sick or you suck we don't want to do that who want to tell you that your face or face to face and tell you yo you're hilarious you do what you bring to this world we appreciate it and we want to say that we solution it well I do here bro man precise movement and it's okay shining secret that's like a compliment so we don't this will all guess because you know why oh you know what the crazy thing is I card our fiscal shout to card no man bar now fishing the other term mostly a super doubly posted man he posted a picture of the Rolling Stones yep and I believe the guy that my sleeve jacket make yeah yeah it was he was he part of on a solo okay so he posed to visit Mick Jagger said look he's on the world with the Rolling Stone to thinking exactly like 70 years old narrow so he said that the older mcdaggett got the more revered he became in his community it was crazy that he said the show's back so was packed people going crazy all the weekend the mortars they say we washed up or they say you know and that's [ __ ] up in our community so we started this show to say you know what we don't want to interview the new guys you know who's the ones saying we watch we watch stuff who's saying that it's our it's our it's our community it's that so you just you mean regular Joe's within the community it's just it's just when you were in this business for more than 12 years people just feeling there used to you so you're just supposed to be they don't feel like you're a gift no more I don't say I'm come on ourselves I'm clueless you know this at first when you know you know you know your first couple of years you come out you look you look you look your gift is it after a while they see you it happens what artist happens when comedians have two boxes and we wanted to change that narrative so I wouldn't pick up the car now official before pouring that out pointing about what we were doing and saying like this is the reason why I love drink chance because drink chances giving people take flowers now and I think that that's what we should do I think it takes nothing away from me but it says to tell you how dope I think you are somehow funny I think you are how ill I think you are I'll be it takes nothing away for me in fact I think it adds on to me as a man he is a man because I'm not I'm not insecure is letting the next person know that you're great and guess what I'm inspired by your greatness but you know that's the truth like I always knew you was funny but today like I asked granted I got to add like a wound up about the interview somebody I want to know everything so I don't watch it hello like this look you made tears come on I know it [ __ ] me up man and and I've been doing this 30 years and I guess my boy always tell me how I should be used to it and not see myself the way I see it but I remember when I first met you so used to it a saint seiya say that for I guess I just like how most people see me from a revered standpoint uh it's hard for me to see myself as that you don't have Sam because I still look at myself as like it I would be put it like this okay when I first met you I don't know if you remember where we first met okay Miami Airport okay and and uh you knew me you saw me you gave me love yous like oh [ __ ] money thing you need to do my podcast and I'm trying to keep my poker face but I'm going but if my point is my point is when I run into celebrities that know me I know I know them I grew up on them I'm expected to know them I'm expecting my [ __ ] to know me go ahead I'm finding out as I meet these [ __ ] they not only know me but it's almost like they not just going hey hey how you doing they're gonna knew you [ __ ] me up cuz I'm just like yo this is surreal so you know you know why cuz certain people are good at certain things that you're actually talent what I mean by that is you're talented like you know how to act but you know how to be a comedian and that's that's like one of my friends um his name's Jack Tooele right we had Jack Toland Apollinaris he was hilarious but what happened was I had to change had a little problem right I didn't think the problem was was there's anything I tried the face time to change what I didn't know was I did not press freeze time I press regular call so I'm like the to change I'm like yo your gap toilet sent you a big casting something he's like this doctor was right there so to change terrible change so we're not we're not fake drinking here so what happens is to change his Jacqueline he just loses Michael's Tom right now I've never heard everybody saying this he said tell him his mama [ __ ] reacted back and recipes the combat Jack never goes to college as well Jack we acted back and Jack got gangster back with two chains but he was being playful no I'm not at first at first went to change said your mama [ __ ] jack I was sitting for service oh yes he should cuz nobody bothers to be [ __ ] but I limit Jack coming to me as Sansa me yo nori um why'd you do that why'd you set me up and I said one I didn't set you up I thought I was heroes little newbie I thought I was all face another chance boy everybody so I did not enjoy him jumping out of his community was he acting or not acting no so that's so that's so I I'm bringing it up to say now I told this to Jack so I don't want it to seem like I was it you know jack is my friends now he's a great dude Brian I spoke to other day so I told him the difference between him and when we interviewed Marlon Wayans was we interview a lot of ways that in the middle of our interview that AC just break right so it's just great we have more [ __ ] name right so you know how big a hate your name you know I'm feeling it now so that model dissuade like a [ __ ] but we we got to play our cool we're gonna act like we've been doing it right so Marlon had no point broke his comedian this like he he stayed you don't try to say yeah I do I like he stay in cancer in character like at all and to me that's what a real comedian is you know I'm saying am i buggin cuz I'm not I'm not 24 hours a rapper I'm telling you - oh I think oh listen I don't begin then this is where I need to tread lightly okay there's based on certain things I would naturally say okay it will be perceived sounds like you know some dudes are characters because that's their stick that's their state I think I think some of the greatest comedians don't do stick big funny naturally like look staring with a gimmick a gimmick and when you funny naturally you don't have to turn it you don't have to do a stick it it comes when you want it to come when it needs to come you know I think if I had to sit here and do the Aries the funny guy the entire way well then how do we know who you are then you're not showing us who you are you show us you you stand up you know why does it you know let me see if you have insight make it that's real deep I'm not gonna say no name okay but you know some comics talent doesn't match their arrogance but there's some comics who will come in the club with dark shades on they give specific orders to the waitstaff don't look him in the eye don't talk to him and they have a swagger like they [ __ ] don't stink and it's like [ __ ] if you're going to do that you gotta be Dave Chappelle [Music] look like early Murphy but they sound like polish door yeah magnet your talent doesn't match your mom this loves that to come you cannot miss it before the record I don't think any I don't think any comic should walk around with that much bravado but if you're going to you gotta be a bad [ __ ] rest in peace Patrice O'Neal yo so you know he's in Poli goes right my interview right now you say my next question to you next question let me just go back for a second okay like when I told you how you and I met and this is why I say this [ __ ] is so surreal to me I'm saying my na story and I think nas is one of the greatest rappers of all time you know this when I get into these debates with these young kids about rap who can't rap to begin with I said listen I made a song called rewind he rapped backwards negaal smokin el you know how hard it is for me to write forward there's a beast so I'm in the Laugh Factory one night and I love the balcony levels - levels and I see kalise and this is when him and Calise was mad I didn't know he was there but I saying Kelis can I go police I just want to tell you can you please tell your husband I think this [ __ ] is one of the she stopped me she goes he's downstairs in the booth he loves you all right so I go down then I think I called my man on here Ivan my boy who's here with me now when it happened to go by III he was sitting in the booth like this with a Henny on the table he was showing like this so I walk up to him I extend my hand I go yo NAS I just gotta tell he goes yo I Love You God I watch you all the time you that [ __ ] god I said thank you nice [ __ ] I went outside and we was straight-up [ __ ] that was a moment from downhill yeah but then Patrice O'Neal Clank glasses with you but I'll break later okay that way [Applause] you turn into a white fraternity tree so then yeah one of the most genius comedians out there yeah again my band when he was alive I had just started to lose weight did I wind up interview with state from its before Angele leave it yet to the yeah excuse me was even that power 105 right and I did an interview she saw them he has seen me like six months cried today you see me like big boy it was like killing so how do you do some gave my number and again he's another comedian he would just talk to me and he would use a prank on me like [ __ ] never stopped me in the community but you only get listened so you telling me when you go home you ain't all this that was a funny dude me Jason man I always said there's only three comics I would be nervous to follow I'll follow anybody but the three [ __ ] who always would give me if I had to follow him I'm miss Patrice Dave and Tommy Davidson now you want to talk about Talent okay we did the Shaq's all-star Comedy Jam and Cedric kind of gave him a little bit of [ __ ] cuz he was like you know for the Spanish bras that didn't understood your Spanish bit that was nice for the Spanish bras meaning a lot of black people didn't get it when Tommy does the bit where he imitates Telemundo and Spanish and Eastern Spanish and sings that creatively is one of the greatest [ __ ] because to pull that off that's Talent I've got to be able to speak fluently in a different language and make it funny and if you go back when Tommy I forget what special he did but he didn't think about square dancing and he did keep the badge on didn't his energy level he's a stick of dynamite and for him to be like energetic and come up with dumb kind of bits Tommy's a bad [ __ ] who's that Tommy David hello Dave Chappelle and Patrice open case ya ya know Patrice he was he was so special Patrice would say things and you will go how would have powers I would have someone even think of that he was on the Opie and Anthony show on time and a black stripper was going at it with him and you know how you know girls before to get all these implants how a tease were really flat saggy and long and he told his [ __ ] your titties look like Bible sling shots [ __ ] you know what that is stick with the rubberband by the slingshot this is me he will come up with [ __ ] there was just incredible and this was his honesty team day was talking about the Tiger Woods thing when Tiger got in trouble they had a psychiatrist on the phone like a real doctor and at one point he kept going uh miss miss and she stopped him she goes Patrice please don't call me miss call me ma'am or doctor and it was a nice two second pregnant pause and Patrice win whatever [ __ ] that kind of yeah hi dad that's a hat simple man as a comedian right um you see you see information in this world some that's probably that funny then how do you guys like sit there like like I see comedians make jokes about the World Trade Center and make it make fun oh like how do you how do you go about a tragic situation and turning it and flipping into something funny haha timing yeah does such a thing is - Susu yeah timing and goes back anything can be a sometimes it might be too soon I know here's the funny thing going back to my doctor Ken Joe when I do to joke and I say the punch sign about dr. King getting shot off the balcony the audience goes home go [ __ ] your [ __ ] is that too soon let's bring in Yomi back then we back ok my man I'm so sorry oh I'm Andy Steinberg man I'm just a Moira's opener I've been traveling with him for about two years Wow and oh we do a podcast together listen to the podcast Spears and Steinberg AKA jus a jerk diverts time we're okay definitely definitely selling what y'all saying on the podcast what's going on the pod car everything raw uncut you play we don't film it [ __ ] - no one knows what's going on ski-doo so okay let's don't man okay that won't be in that but explain your relationship with comedy my relationship with comedy I failed in everything else and comedies the only thing that's ever made me happy yeah yeah no seriously and it's the only thing that like everything that I thought I could say and honestly I just never this is my first time that I ever had felt like I was actually accomplishing something in my life and I didn't start doing this until I was 40 - Wow yeah well the comedy - you're for yeah I went home and told my kids oh you know what 53 mm Wow so I went home and told my kids at 42 I think I'm gonna take this [ __ ] for real I'm gonna really go ahead and stand up yeah and my kids just said dad like we like food and [ __ ] and I did everything before honestly I used to honestly move back in in the late 80s I mean I sold weed I sold weed for a we've been feeding it from truffle neighs to the to sometimes I might spend a little time in jail so that that took some time and then I got married they got it back were you so go click and you so cry for like a minute it was like a memory I always SoCo cuz I wanted coke yeah this works when you don't have a lot of money and I didn't what you do is you just take an Eightball you take out a half a gram for yourself you crush an aspirin you put that in there you sell the other 3 grams of coke and you keep a half a gram for yourself Wow didn't even don't know nothing about that guys so y'all see America don't be putting that [ __ ] on us we just broke down and 8-ball and some coke we care because I didn't know what you were supposed to do that's a nice one aspirin will echo you mix the Oxford with the Go Daddy vitamin B how are you someone gets a headache I've already [ __ ] taking care of their problem me I use words like expeditiously you you have not have a headache at the same time but no I only did that I did that serious a couple I know I did it a few times no longer that I did that though just to just really just have my own coke but when I met the coke dudes they actually got me into the weed and I was from Arizona and I was guys now everybody's gonna know this I went to the U I went to the U of A and I went to pima Community College hit one you gonna hear me cough yes okay so ha how's it going I was there and I met a bunch of kids to go to college and I want we taking back to like you know your kid the same time make sure yeah I was ours uh 18 19 years old so I met people that want it we'd to go back there so and I knew all these guys from the coke but now everybody want to get out of coke because it was dangerous and weed was easy at the time so we just took weed we bought like we'd buy a trash compactor and then you fill it with weed and you'd make twenty-five to forty pound blocks and then you throw them in your suitcases but you can't do anymore and I'm not saying this to advocate if you're a do it want to sudden some weed back home I'm letting you know did you go to the airport right now with weed in your suitcase you ain't gonna leave the airport well you will but it will be within cuffs and you'll be going somewhere else now where your destination I said okay it's a good old day you can just throw that [ __ ] in your suitcase was missing w8 you a this [ __ ] white boy Rick so no no that's what that's what I and I and I did that I did I got in a little trouble for it I went to jail for a little while and then I'll just yeah we really it was quick it was six months that's definitely here's quick because it was 300 pounds so that's quick look 300 pounders as well we'll accept it graciously at all times jump off the seat and put you in there it's very very simple white privilege comes quickly especially if you look like this now I'm Mexican and Jewish mmm and I look Jewish so that comes with I'm taking all of it so look so let's have it you know is this a black privileges sometimes absolutely you don't have to prove is just like yeah I'm like yeah [ __ ] I'm gonna get you at college but I said no stereotype is our privilege they don't saying sometimes my angry mama can work for you sometimes being angry [ __ ] can work for you saying give an example give an example shut the [ __ ] up white man nobody sees this we talked about this in pockets everybody has privilege okay because it all rolls downhill and everybody's at some point in the hill so privileged you need to recognize your own privilege at all times why people don't recognize their own prejudice privilege the only reason they don't know it is because they just do what is white America you go walk outside it's easy to be white in America you're not gonna notice anything this is just how it works you know you go crazy I used to hate me and famous until I couldn't get a table of crustaceans then I was like a cloud I like to be as normal as possible like I don't want to go to a place and announce I'm coming but then after a wild you say something I heard you say something you said Oh dad you thought it was a downpour that you don't smile enough yeah like and not me you now that will you get in front of a certain type of crowds well no it's uh it's like when I'm not on stage like that's why going back to what you said earlier about being a comic mode most people's perception of comedians is that we're always jokey when I'm not on stage man aware Ice Cube Scout well you know man the people that don't know me I don't look approachable I don't look like you know I don't come off like Wayne Brady there's never do your warrior look oh yeah the egg be happy test and when I did come to be honest get you had to spells criminal and I did The Breakfast Club I rolled up there with the hoodie hoodie so definitely several time yes I you know I don't walk around walk around cheese in like that but you know I get it in a moment when it's time to get in the moment okay switch it switch it crazy before I switch it crazy I would like to ask billion people's opinion on kiya pill right Kenny pill can't code because I know you guys are mad TB together yeah I know that thing took a different turn into the different turn and I really didn't relate to Kim pill at all now let me stop you right there okay this is one of the things that got me in trouble DIF sure what I'm saying there's one thing that got me in trouble how was on flat TV and I talked about how you know just like black people we come in different forms you're I'm Sam DMX is DMX all the time yo damn xn you use that as my Will Smith right and Will Smith Will Smith has that magical ability where he can be around a bunch of white people and come off genuine not like he's trying to be white not actually shuffling and uncle dramas uh runs himself his those masses how about a kiss upon a brick right but he could also go down to eighty hood and still be will and he's respected DMX might not he might even do it but he might be around some kind of upper echelon of white folks and xB and X they may who he's too abrasive for that so I almost say it's like an x-men gene to be black and being able to do both sides without switching it up for any one of them that's a special talent and and you know key and Peele I said are they black yes technically yes but based on certain behavior based on certain actions just a swagger away you walk away you talk certain move you make but in black what they weren't black if you're getting and I know you know what I'm yeah I know what you mean but I said I even heard Dave say he said he had to watch to him it's kind of like like do his show for the two years yes because ya know what said Dave Chappelle said like after he like like quit and when he said that he'd be okizay word they took his slot they took they took like like the sketch type of comedy thing maybe then he'd take everything from him that was his lease but wasn't even a [ __ ] that's the same or not I don't know about I don't know about the slide but but what I said was perceived a certain way and what did you say for the record I just again I just I basically said that look key and Peele and I never said they weren't funny very funny I just said you know do they come off in other words when I would watch them on their show and they would imitate black guys they came off like Amos and Andy it felt like black guys doing blackface like brother don't like white guys trying to be black guys even though the black guys being black guys summer so don't take the authenticity what Ned so I said that cut to Jordan does get out 300 million dollar movie iPhone get out the won an Oscar a really great movie this was all before he blew up let me tell you something funny sick crazy [ __ ] is a [ __ ] with W&S separate when they got together as a sketch comedy I didn't like the sketch comedy but like I liked him and and that's okay comedy subjective yeah but cut to he's [ __ ] huge now and I kept saying myself I wonder if he saw that interview and I don't know whether he did it didn't maybe some other dudes got in his ear but this is when he was casting to the last og and I auditioned for the role that Cedric God Wendell a so Jesus with Tracy Morgan edge he hasn't produced it get out from get out okay huh yeah I've no that's appeal yes I read the breakdown I go produced by Jordan Peele oh yeah so I went to the audition that day and I walked in the room now he could have played it where it was like yeah they gotta know what you said and made me feel it but he didn't he was like Aries what's up we should be hands we did the thing and I'm as I'm auditioning I didn't get it from him but the white guys who were working with him I said I know they got in his ear and said y'all you need to see what sting said about you because the vibe in the room was just you could feel it so I have you know that's one of those moments where I said what I said and even when I did kind of did my interview on comedy high I said I still stand by what I said but maybe I'm just shouldn't say all right I'm not gonna change my opinion but maybe I said it just not have said it period all right because that's one of those moments where you know yeah my [ __ ] payback but you just said it again well I took the same stance yeah I'm not changing what I said but it is but now it's out there so it come will you say you should just it should have been said well yeah but those are the repercussions right like again again I think there's those guys are funny in their own way I think at first anyway comedy I think sorry I put like this but I think comedy since you sold us as fans now you could look into something totally different but for me County citrus old this is the new Chappelle yeah we might have this is how this how I was presented to me as a fan right replacement is his business dissolution pal even before that there was Carlos Mencia it struggles right but but I think they were always trying to find the new Chappelle show right right when you create that kind of noise the revenue they want that right things one canister pal what did you think when you found out he went to Africa I really have an opinion on it you know and then later when he did interviews where he talked about particularly on the inside the Actor's Studio when he talked about Hollywood in the business and what's insane and the over one yeah what Dave is so insightful that you know he said things and interviews that kind of made you go he wasn't crazy I noticed the spin they wanted to put on it right he wasn't crazy you know he had to get away from he talked about the incident where Martin Lawrence was you know I guess running down the street and clothes and bugging in the street he goes you know what kind of industry do we live in that's so sick that would make a person do that you know what I'm saying again we don't know the facts facts was Martin on some who knows only Martin knows that but I'm telling you this base double PCP then well based on what I know about this industry and what I've been through I don't know too many people that make it in this industry so long Wow does this businessman steal your spirit your honest trailer hands this real [ __ ] because I like you know knowing that she was coming today did you meet again yeah this interview is going to be very different no matter she was covered today I see all your interviews pride and obviously believe the comments as so many people like we have opinion of somebody else and people think that you doing better they automatically hate ya so I wish and we assess everything and I saw every point that you were trying to make back then today like I just saw it I was just like I like cuz I'm supposed to only watch like three or four and I just walked around my house the whole day and I watched about like 12 12 different just things you're doing the presence of DMX you do it you be an axe this question you being glad being access question about this and and and so on and so forth but we go through all of that and then it's with me 12 different things right for me to understand your point is because so many people like you know I guess it's that light I think you should you spoke about it and and and and they say that it's one person chosen in Hollywood a year right black people right and it's it's it's it's it's it's so much the same in the music business like meaning like we have a run and alright like you have a crazy one that can have a run but then at some point it just slows down it doesn't stop it slows down and you have to do something else have you have you have you guys reached that point I mean I guess I'm lucky enough to wear one I'm not out they're overexposed so you know I miss this is another thing I love about Dave you don't see Dave in a shitload of interview right y'all don't know me tonight and let me just say again please just I don't want this to be perceived wrong different strokes different folks if it works for you great mmm you see Kevin Hart everywhere and that's fine that's you know he's only he's the movie man whatever but I think when you leave mystery it makes people wonder what are you doing and it adds to your mystique as much as I love Michael Jordan I'm a Michael Jordan fanatic I love the fact that I don't see him like I see Berkeley every Thursday because it adds to the mystique of my seat or you don't see Naza you'll see punk rock every day right right like you don't see that like those are it's a different business model that's what I'm saying it could be a kid you just be down so you know for me I'm just like cause I'm trying understand what you say would you mean a different business baby maybe someone says I need to get myself overexposed and make this kind of bread in this kind of way and then other people say well I'll reserve myself to this kind of bag understand one's not better than another I'll say oh it's both get maybe the same amount of money I'm just saying for me you know saying I think when people especially when people love you and they want to see you and you're not always available you you keep that desire that burning desire for them to keep looking for you so I'm not looking to over saturate myself for one and you know again it's like they say game recognize game if people see an interview if they see my work and they go this thing is so authentic or just so talented so somebody who doesn't have a movie career if for somebody who ain't been on TV consistently since mad and it's been a minute the fact that I'm still able to go out on the road and put asses in the seats there's a testament to something that people know you're with dissing it I'm gonna get this and Fox what has do you think this is a crazy question do you think you suffer from your home success like meaning like Fat Joe goes all out every year to make a crazy record I see him every year and then he makes a record and it works and then the people say well it's supposed to work so I don't know be God's people to [ __ ] say but this mother works oh yeah to make a crazy hit and it comes in it right but people accept it they say okay this is Lully back but then at the same token they say so what he was supposed to make you because he's subjected to make the best product yes of gift you're gonna want to say supposed to buddy but it's not a surprise but who didn't get the props that he deserves because they almost say he's supposed to be at home right is that technically he is cuz he's talented he's got the goods but if you don't apply to work ethic and he's lazy with it and he just acts like it's supposed to be was stumbled upon him and that's different but what I'm saying is like there's not a lot of losses on your behalf like this you know this you robbed of all places right so now is it is that is that where people just expect of you like this Oh Aires he broke the [ __ ] place but he's supposed to I mean they they might expect it but at the same time again I'm not I'm not everywhere to where you can judge me so much you know I'm saying like look man there's no reason why she if it's like they give everybody under the Sun that's a comic a show on Comedy Central there's no reason why I shouldn't have show there's no reason why I shouldn't have special Netflix turned me down you know people keep saying to me you should have never as well but they keeps her a big necklace turn me down and when I got in Italy before I don't know what the timing of when it was but even with when I had that incident with Corey Holcomb at the 5150 my manager not to fight the fight okay yeah that was a party and if you join yeah the end of you joy my manager went to try to get me a Netflix special and he said a couple of the executives said they saw the choreo Copenhagen when they last they went he deserved it good and not only did he not give me special they felt I deserved that oh let me ask you something because I saw it years ago did didn't understand it but dude I had to obviously went on Google you today it popped up but I actually didn't understand what actually transpired like because Corinne I as I'm looking at the interviews prior to that I'm seeing the respect you have for Corey I've seen in the pilot was in my top five yeah I've seen the love that's and then we'll say for the record I still think he's a great comedian just cuz the incident happened doesn't take away his ability he's still a bad [ __ ] but we gently differently I feel like I feel like what part made you feel like he wasn't your friend no more well first of all you never was my friend oh I just say he was somebody I respected and I Kali gonna communicate how to [ __ ] around with that word friend friend is somebody who helped you bury a body is somebody who you know that [ __ ] you lady you're gonna say it has your back you know my best friend is in the back of his room right now so I don't take that word lightly but to answer your question after the incident went down the stance he took right when it happened was very different the next day and I didn't understand that okay I don't understand you right now so what you mean like what happened at that is at the moment it popped off and and you know in the heat of the moment he was saying one thing to me like you know oh man that's crazy was [ __ ] up what he did and dude is wrong but then cuz it wasn't him that just there wasn't Cory was he was right of onions or whatever his name was but then after days later I call Cory back it was bah-bah-bah and he was like nah man you was trippin you was [ __ ] up you was you've had too much Tanqueray he was I was like that's different from what you told me so then that kind of just said we mean it looked like I to access his story here I guess it just dramatically changed right you know because because that's that's the thing now actually cuz I don't know um his ol Williams a convenient no and that was no but here was my mistake and I said this in many interviews because Cory was my guy again and there was a risk my guy all he had to do was say to me what he said was which was Yoda Cesare Williams it's my man okay so your man is now my man and I thought the same thing that we doing here we could do that drinks so I'm like let's say use Oh and again I'm from New York I talk with a certain Flair with a passion and and I let my guard down so I'm talking we in it I'm got to tangle ray there's a little bit of contact on the I'm accident a little bit you'll die anyway so it's doing it and I was and I was saying [ __ ] and look here's the thing about comics like rappers or whatever that when you're in the same hustle you know how to break each other's balls it ain't never gonna be no animosity right jokes was what we do is how we eat I assumed he was in that world he's a civilian he's a regular civilian so what I'm saying is touching nerves right what I'm thinking we comics [ __ ] this is what we do we give and take if I give it to you you give it to me ten times back is good so I guess you know I did one too many slaps and you know I've massaged this [ __ ] tissues then you got upset then [ __ ] went away away but like I said that's my fault cuz I went in there with the with I just went in with my guard down and I said I would never do that again I believe I believe convenience has to be convenience oh that's the reason why I was like like your wallet ways we had that like nice almost kicking around because he just he's front of love with us he just kept he kept slumping one of my kappa i think it was like he's just like you know what like he felt comfortable cuz we like we understand comedian saying who came out everybody said isn't room listen Russell Peters came here as well and Russell Peter said right we're off if it was that beat we got a pod we got him [ __ ] up and he on my Twitter and Twitter's paralyzed I could one could see the Twitter's paralyzed and I didn't know cuz he was kind of went a little too just looked like for surgery and I had to but he was saying it to me but I had to pull to the side I'm like y'all we gotta look medium be it could mean that's like me telling you you can't be that much of a rapper right anybody I can't you can't I don't want nobody to judge me like that I don't want to by birthday yo yo you know what say what what don't say what what what what what why right okay you may just like physically sad he was just gonna say even believe will feel that and that's why such a thing is community I feel sorry for y'all but I would watch because the dig is what makes me a sane person is watching you [ __ ] make fun of me watch you move book is make fun of what's happening you know what's funny man I got then where's you say that and most people are like that uh-huh but you know I tell you a rapper who the sense of humor is you know ll I did a movie called out of sync with LL and I was playing his best friend and I would you know imitate him in front of him so he wasn't really I was making fun of him well you know listen and certain interviews and certain things I've done like I said I go I'll go hard like I own my CD I did I did a prank call where I did ll call it a gay club I just I called the club up and I said yeah you know I want to come in on Filipino night for the hoodie rub coconut oil on your calves you know and I think word got back to him and he kind of you know but that's what I was good it was on a set this was what I call my comedy CD oh no no no I mean I mean you know how about the immense like were you when you met DMX the appreciation well here's what's funny I remember jay-z was doing a concert at the Staples Center and that week we had meth and read on MADtv so meth was like y'all hanging out with hold the Staples Center you'll roll with me I did so again my CD had just come out so I'm bumping into Busta Rhymes and everybody in your hold up my CD and promote it give me a shout out y'all and it was all doing it so I seen X and I said uh ex mem I see that he stopped me so you're dogging adalat mistake yeah he was he was hanging out in one of the locker rooms and in the locker room there's only one way in maybe a naive I walk in a locker room he comes in next but then 15 [ __ ] come in and they all form a circle around me an exodus just me an X in the middle and then the last dude comes into security he slams the door boom it stands right in front of the door and he said your dog my voice I heard some things with my voice I said what look s I just want you to promote Steve yeah I'll tell you what come to my hotel let me have it if the [ __ ] is real yeah if it's not [Applause] then let's go back let's go back to what I was talking about with the degrees of blackness now I'm a legit hundred percent Nick here's how I know I'm not no good knick knacks was talking to me and at one point this [ __ ] a your dog okay I pulled a razor blade out from under Istanbul now look at that [ __ ] I said this [ __ ] can't talk without that breed and [ __ ] right there I'm so sorry so that's the records out nineties so how about hold but what was your first impression of you meeting home well the first time I met him I had to do an interview I was interviewing Tamia Graham grant Hill's wife for a magazine and it was at uh this spot in Beverly Hills where you know they have a little restaurant outdoor joint so I'm sitting with her at the table and he comes in and I remember he had hat on backwards in a wife-beater he obviously knew who she was he I wasn't nobody at the time - Mia - Mia yeah so he went over to give hello the singers she's single right here and uh I was like y'all hold me a big fan man whatever doesn't make a play me like this is like damn so I hadn't really seen him after that look me and my peoples we went to the Pacquiao Mayweather fight and when the fight was over everybody was spilling out from the arena into the streets and see Allen Iverson there's a little mob around him then that mom believes him immediately goes over here cuz now Vijay and Beyonce walking hand by hand and I just happened my movement to join the rhythm so I'm right next to them as they were walking in stride and I said uh yo j-man I big fan mangles I know who you are [ __ ] I know I know who you are I really wanted to break down so I would just give them a little bit you know kind animated like say a Buster loves the view [ __ ] you think when you break down my lines add that to the fact when blood a bunch of times time stamp on my floor so pop-culture we'll see what happens when I no longer exist [Applause] yeah the how how about that you know it's funny when people asked about the impressions I say it's always like being a musician and the singers have ear for tonation pitch riffs tone there so it's like everybody's voice is a note so Shaq is all bass you know to me how does up this I like Shaq but every time I meet him he grabs my head just like yes please let's do it like this ask me questions uh-huh ask me a question like we got [ __ ] asking a basketball questions okay sure right now we got Kevin Durant girls going to the Brooklyn Nets but he's gonna beat out the whole season he gonna be out the whole season how is the net season gonna be like with just Kyrie Kyrie hold down this whole season without further whatever they already have a strong point [Applause] I was tell people with jobs as long as LeBron go back let me go back to out to why this is why sound black borders y'all recently saw the NBA awards right yeah they had that moment with Jay Pharoah sat at the table with Barkley in an imitated shot and this ain't got nothin to do with my vanity read the comments 85 90 % said there's no [ __ ] way that should've been Aires yeah no [ __ ] way that's Aires all day and I didn't get that God that John even get the call so you know do I know that's cuz I'm blackballed no but my spidey sense tells me something that's crazy so my jade fowl just did white fingers didn't he well he had done white famous yeah and from Saturday Night Live and all that but you know that's that's just one of those moments where I go man something's up something's up okay and people mean Sam that's what makes me an [ __ ] is that I would say that I'm not supposed to say saying I think I should have got that call I'm not allowed to say I think that's good no big but that's perceived as cocky what does you you should know got that good you said I'm saying that like I shouldn't be like that somehow no I'll do this you know but I'm just saying I thought you know that's a job I deserved slidin but I'm not supposed to say that I support James my man I've got his phone number we cool see my Soho House every now and then but you've been doing it way before well people also thought I had a beef with Jay cuz I said this again I always started everything with muhfuckas funny well James funny and I'll say like I said a million times he does impressions I wish I could do one envious that [ __ ] but the only thing I said to bother me is impressions are specific and what makes a great impressionist is when you captured detail to the last dime and Jay when he would do jay-z he will always go mmm blue ivy my baby girl I run the wild and I said home would never say that he would say girl in world the way you say girl in a world so you're my baby girl like when he would do Shaq he would do this space he would go never cook earlier and it's like it's part of what makes it great is it's a slight exaggeration look like this but a little bit so I just you know certain little things like that would get me and I would say that and again I'm not supposed to say [ __ ] like that all right I'm just supposed to you're the only one who can do Sam else's impression of that somebody else they don't love the impression yeah what was your favorite part of company me being that you started at you saw that 41 decel 42 - 42 42 it when it I'm gonna be real honest for me then self-gratification to get that immediate response of laughter for something that I said and know that people enjoyed it isn't a drug but you do but I really talk about my real-life stories so when I don't get that it's not fun lens not good you feel like your life is well good yeah because it's me when this one doesn't like me they don't like materials they had in life so they don't like me right so that's the only side of it but I love I love the honesty that you get to have the comedy and that's what I love about it I can it's not a real job like I have not felt in in the 11 years I've been doing this I had a job he just happened to be opening up first he was going in and out first something with Utah for seven hours of a cable car alone van so I would perform and he was opening for me and you know like I said I will scowl I got music on I'm in the zone getting ready for the show and again this perception is don't talk to Aires oh he's he's angry or he's a diva he's difficult and he don't say any of that [ __ ] so he just started talking to me and you know things just kind of meshed and I liked this comedy and he had the guts to ask me yo can I feed you what you regularly I said yeah come on mmm that being said though I got said it's real quick the second time I worked with him though it was on the road and he didn't talk to me like I thought we broke that barrier like we talked we had a big conversation what I didn't know is if you don't know Aires well just because you met him and had a conversation with you don't start off where you left off and go back to where you very yes so I sat in the greenroom for like two days and I didn't say anything to him and he wasn't saying anything to me and I just go so is this what you expect from your feature not talk to me he just liked amigos own grown [ __ ] man you could talk to me whenever you want to outside he walked outside and then that after that it was kind of like and I think the third we would work together move on I bought me a big bottle of tequila I did okay I say we're good now yeah but do you ever like um both of you guys you know you ever because you're literally your job is to make other people happy right they say that your way to get into heaven is to do something for people who can't do that for you that's literally a job because your job is to make somebody laugh that would literally probably can't make you laugh and but that's the relationship it's like I feel like if I get to make you laugh but it makes me feel good about myself we completed that relationship and that's what makes that work for me yeah I'm happy that they're getting what they need for me but I couldn't do what if I wasn't getting what I needed from doing comedy three years one lucky number we did two going it god damn it I miss it because of the anniversary let's do it it's the anniversary we're into re album [Applause] to anyone it's album easy it's the most important album to me because this is my hobby I stepped out on my own we have made the war report it was a classic album and kapal got locked up and I had to go on my home so I actually made this and if it had failed I would have been the blame and it worked and I still wasn't the blame but that's that's just way too hard for you to you know turn 21 years Oh yesterday Oh which means it's the 21 years that we know each other and writing the weight of the d-day Carly because is he coming enough I really miss seeing him pause a lot these past couple of weeks and you know he's brought up drink chance before but this time he's like it was somebody a fat man was someone crazy hood he knows the beginning of my story he knows of my struggle he knows okay sorry understand I just never heard him that passionately so I'm gonna beg him well tell Colin I got something big a muffin and also giving up something because I would like to apologize the people who watch the rick ross interview you know these are coming out of sync whenever you hear engineer I want to say sorry because I looked at myself and I said geez I'm gonna be honest and listen after that layabouts episode this house shots not a chakra that's not around they come on they come with me I would be a real person Macross you deserved a better interview Lynette what happened was we was you know drink assistance assistance clock in the morning I held it down to the middle of interview yeah you did a great job in middle interview what happened was they wouldn't give us the champagne bottle they kept pouring it for us so when they kept pouring it for us we'd have none of our liquor we had a little more liquor so I don't want to make excuses I wanna you know be you know great to my fans and say you know for being with us but this surgery witness keep saying great [ __ ] you're closer there yeah I appreciate that but I wasn't on my a-game can I say something wrong yes but you have the depth so they know it's nothing I held that down first of all were show called drink chance yes we should forget drunk and sometimes it doesn't work out that's what being drunk is right it doesn't work out sometimes people we did a special podcast episode called the hi episode and developers to eat edibles and smoke and drink and then do the podcast yeah like if I follow this [ __ ] up ISM that whole episode would have been you know the crazy [ __ ] is we will be different it's never we both [ __ ] up it's always either you [ __ ] up but somebody's gotta you know they should be people of the PD crack episode I may never sleep that's kind of how it should be tell people like if you're a fan or not if you're a fan what we do it like don't get mad what we actually do what we say right do it yeah yeah you can't get mad at that that is the problem yeah that's not a real fan no say we dream chance sometimes too much so we just want to let the people know man we are here working hard as of now we got episodes coming from NAS Master P Ross we got a whole bunch of big episodes we want to announce it on a come on everybody everybody's gonna listen to this [ __ ] interview super wanna now sit on this and we've having fun man we're doing it I so much appreciate you for coming through man I'll be a legend our game is about bigger than up legends become big enough people who's been seasoned you know I mean people feel like the longer you've been in this game like I said people call you washed-up but I want to call a season I want to call us classics I want to call us legends you know as opposed to people that you know I'm wrong listen to a person who been in the game 20 years and a person who's been in a game for two days in a day because our rather your experience and unfortunately we live in a world with that's the exact opposite these people they want to listen to you know god bless these city girls but T goddamn it these girls I walk it lady partner think I see little [ __ ] like a cigarette little [ __ ] girl they got [ __ ] little different every absolutely probably at a rap music they got Starbucks in Harlem right now it's a fact mocha frappuccinos that's not like a song look up there's nothing wrong with growth like Mike like like my Jada said in that deadline take him to the Gucci store show on the loafs hood [ __ ] I'm just showing you broke up you know I mean so her growth was good man we need a Starbucks okay so now my madness on this one you did an interview with sway and snoop for gay biggie cuz Iggy has said something about snoop and Snoop said seamos Lewis - yeah who says they start off yeah listen I've always had a love-hate relationship or someone who philosophy around oh you know things tell mom you keep gangsta with hardcore gangsta killers like having said no matter how much little I get I'm staying in the projects he didn't live in the process really you said that right my point being as all as it as much as you predicate yourselves on being hard at the end of the day your [ __ ] are reciting poetry yes so mom its profitable to smile yeah cuz you know all them [ __ ] start out hard you know you start smiling now we can put you in a bubble pop up Spears in steinberg it's available through iTunes / Apple Google Play Spotify Spotify and Spears Berg calm [ __ ] with your boy Aires on cameo pay that money so look me up on cambio Rex and Instagram and all the next [ __ ] yes I'll oh let me just tell you something man once again Oh mr. Lutz y'all because this is this is about y'all and yeah I'll give you some comedy character real quick but we do the shot okay did you sound let me bring my Italian okay just [ __ ] up a [ __ ] man amongst [ __ ] Boise all right still gonna take this [ __ ] shoppers event somebody's some of that you're gonna do a shot so [ __ ] good you're gonna get up and walk out of them [Music] you
