[Music] tonight on game night Nikki Kevin Lincoln and myself Dave are going to play pantone a game for two to twenty players designed by Scott Rogers and published by Cryptozoic so color us excited hey Dave Lincoln will you teach us Pantone fan tone tastic I will teach you Pantone is a sort of a artist II drawing ish game but you're using cards the gist of it is you're gonna have a card with a character on it and you're gonna try to create something so that people can guess that character for example you game comes with these exciting 15 little cards they're the colors and you are gonna get cards that looks a like this like this card says Sonic the Hedgehog and this card says Winnie the Pooh and this card says Superman right okay so let's say you had Superman let's say that was your card when it is your turn you are gonna get the whole box right these are the cards these little slots that they're in are are angled by the way so like a seesaw take them out make them easier but you're basically gonna get the box and you in theory have a minute there's no timer within the game and we're not gonna use a timer cuz it's just gonna complicate things but you have a minute so let's say you had Superman so you might say go and there's your minute so maybe you would do that and maybe you would do like that blue and you what's the one that's the flash and then maybe you would do like this obstacle Mickey Mouse popsicle I'm not saying I like that shirt is ready now though yes are blue and yellow it's blue was he it's a young son Chris it's the yellow red red body with yellow lettering I think of them yeah for example cuz it's so I have a minute when I'm dyeing is underwear my time is up and when I'm done the way it networks is we go clockwise around the table and this is worth five points Niki again you're supposed to in theory time this but this is really silly you have five seconds to guess my hand tone I like it is it on the back so all of them yeah talk about branding five seconds I guess so ready and Nicky whatever what did I do it's a frog no Lincoln it's the flash no Superman oh yes it if you did guess it you get five points and I we get five points but you didn't guess but I'm so it comes back to me and here on my Superman card here's hint number one I will not read you hit nomura comics Nicki what did I do well uh my team L know Lincoln oh my mask a kiss Marc Maron's no Salvador Dali no hit number two it's probably a porter I have a feeling we're gonna get these from the hits in the later rounds now what do they do well it was lame come on being know you can get hurt at some point yeah so each one is let a one point fewer so for the hit number two Nikki we get three points we're using these delightful Pig poker chips I would get three points and then it would be Nikki's turn okay all right so that's round one now the one is you have all the cards available to you round two you're going to have another card like this and you may only use one each of the colors what you still have all the cards available to you but you cannot double up a color okay yes I again I have a feeling these hints are gonna be very important for later rounds because round three you may only use three cards total hearing but you can double them on college you can double up on car okay all right but they are our different answers you know like in times up the same things keep coming up and you kind of do callbacks and these these are different answers real different in fact I'm glad that you asked that Kevin because I'm I'm not doing the cards we did the way the game starts is yeah everybody gets four cards and you discard one and these are your entire 3 cards for the whole game so you have all of the various rounds to think about it and you can and you can know which card is going to be on round one versus round two versus round three okay Mike can I toss one of these huh that's what you said you are gross us what happened okay for example I'm gonna toss out this one all right they tossed out cook they only have like four of each color and you're right yes so there's not a lot of these go back in the box Thank You bucks are you tossing that one out or keeping it pantos I don't really like this game I already like know what the person who is most recently an artist I assume that's you mean Nick UPD all right Nick appeals recently an artist so here's the deal from your 3-card that's a sandwich today from your three cards you're gonna take the one that you're gonna do put it right here face down so when I see it put the other two cards off to the side so you don't forget about right and remember in round two you can only use one of each color and then round three you can only use three cards total so you probably try to figure out which of your three can you do in three cards I'm gonna say for me none of my three this is gonna be really hard okay I picked according to what rounds I thought what does what is this the level and then again its first round you can do everything second round you may only use one of each color but you can still use all the colors and then the third round three cards total but they can all be the same color or different colors or yeah yeah I'm going to at least hint number two on each of my cards so don't worry about it isn't gonna be tough all right this is the one I'm gonna do okay and do I start you have a minute start yep basically when you start okay here we go there you go what do you do that I'm gonna figure out I'm looking at my cards and figuring out what I can possibly do how's it oriented by the way to work them we're doing the same thing unfortunately just built the we want we can rotate it never have enough cards know that color so I said four of each I know he did but okay this is a problem well red dude with orange it's are we supposed to be just guessing right now no that's or do anything yes in two rounds right all right they don't to be able to guess first huh it's already challenging okay yep okay linking you have five seconds I guess wreck-it Ralph is it correct now and the flash no Iron Man yes passed it no is a superhero all right so yeah no red for the helmet puts the five points for you okay five points for me these I'll go back in it's Lincoln Stern what do I do with the car tight you are done it can go in the Box can ever do it again okay with your car yes the reduced cards is gonna be insane oh yeah how you can ever get anything in three I mean I guess I think you could I'm what you have yeah there you go and go he's worried about that I'm just hoping to get one for more points than one what so team was what he Jie has Earl Grey goes uses computers Nicky I'm like he's awesome asking for tea okay okay sighs I know first I needed three blues I can only communicate blue but you've never been just blue blue blue for your last four house so if I use this I could I can use all of my color for the last round I misunderstood only three cards but but you can use as many cards as you want but I don't leave a courier I've said that at least three times I did I just met it understood you but that was probably a elicit but I would done purple and then maybe black on the bottom I thought he liked wearing his helmet right cuz if you look at him in any of the stuff he's got blue facings get that weird like helmet but in the movie it feels like he Harvey wears that helmet he doesn't wear it at all he does wear it sometime just at the very beginning right when he's on the ship but anyway I like it I think it's fun it's there's a couple games up this year that have this going on every one is called showing tile but it is weird because it shapes - so boy you have like triangles and stuff but makes one I don't know yeah I will tell you this one the way that they range the adjust that what you can actually use for each turn is actually really really cool what makes it probably strong for me because you have to I feel bad for Jake is he really ever what Brett cards but part part wasn't one you throw away what did you throw away I threw away Harley Quinn stuff only because that was gonna be a lot of different weird colory things and I'm just like I'm never know if I is mine if I understood you but again I have to decipher my Freddy Krueger oh that's a tough one and I'm like sure is it green I thought you've been okay yeah a green red I do a lot of crafts because I was like yeah how you gonna do that one I mean you know another scheme just badass what's been hard because I knew it he's getting star trek across I knew I can get that across there's not enough of a star towards me like it got you to Star Trek but the wrong generates whole wall but it also gave me I think that nikita start the greatest center and did not get me I was aqua Manning it like I kept seeing Aquaman cuz orange yeah I mean but he also dreams go yeah what are those there's a series of like those little 8-bit that are just a bunch of different characters like they have one that's like Superman and Charlie Brown's are you doing - did I say Stewart are you talking about the blockhead ones yeah the lego-ball came up oh yeah yes that's what not not the dolls but there's like a yeah yeah art it's it's similar to that right part of the program part the problem is you have to know like I have to sort of know what those colors exactly I don't know the colors well I didn't know I gotta look up Cartman but yeah you know I mean I'm like he's got a green hat but maybe not I mean it's weird I've watched that show he was doing tonight but I don't maybe the main two guys are red and green rockers so then carbon might be blue that's why I think it's blue with the red pom-pom Kenny's definitely orange I know that for sure hey it's blue and yellow not green the cap but this is where you were better at me into this game in general was that little angle and nuan gave me South Park well yeah as a guesser I was good cuz I got that that's what you meant have an angle I just didn't know that that was the character well but I was the reason why I turned the head sideways specifically because it's Cartman that was why I guess Jeff that one we are I guess chef I would have used a brand probably for chef that's children sounds good I don't know how you played twenty players I guess everybody just yeah cards craziness you can't play teams though Oney so if we were playing teams then you know we would be a team and there would be a team in the way it would work is we would still each have three cards mm-hmm and I would make a thing and then you guys would get one guess as a team so it wouldn't be Nikki Lincoln you would be you guys get a guess in theory you can confer with each other although you might be helping Lincoln by doing that but you would get a guess and if you're right you would get all the points meaning me as the artist gets no points I would only score if in our case if leader tiene Mather I can guess what I could claim and if no guesses I would I would read the first clue in you and the opposing team would get first crack at it so you can do that you can make the game harder there are ways to make the game harder I could play to a set number points like you can play 20 points they say although we got pretty close only in one car maybe one more rounded 20 points you can obviously limit yourself to cars the crazy thing is our des Steph was saying she had like Sonic the Hedgehog and as obvious to them I'm like wow I don't even know if I'd get that you know I mean a blue and orange shoes I know but like yellow shoes we've hidden you know neatly right and I thought they had a lot of cards I'm because she was explaining to on one of our Bee Gees you know there are tons of cards no I met colors only for it seems really limiting right for like any of the more complicated ones you definitely need to be a pub culture nerd to sell with us came to a certain extent I think that the hint system that the hints that they put in is obviously necessary because oh my goodness you have to not just because it's gonna be hard to do some but there'll be there will be people who have no idea how to do stuff like I bet there's probably a regular golf cart that said that said karate as a hit for Miss Piggy yeah it's a little frustrating hey yeah I would have been a better hand and that was a little funny yeah but what it has to be a it has to be kind of opaque it's the second clue it's the third clue that's the real gift gimme abstract here's it a play you can do abstract you can use all the cards every time but the cards are not allowed no card is allowed to touch each oak on oh wow so it is truly like abstract in that sense you tree makes on yeah he does have any red in them oh yeah almost like it issues I read that right there with the hair nice right she's good kids good that's fantastic there then you need to do this a circle in them okay I just isn't I mean that was why I I misunderstood but it ended up working out on the the what you used for each round because one of each is tough yes one of each is tough I mean I was like oh hey I'm saved I thought those two at the very end I almost gagged just put that out from my last row just to see if you guys are good for Miss Piggy Miss Piggy yeah this is really it is really quite good I don't I don't know how much the cards there's a lot there so it's probably pretty good I mean if you played with twenty people you'd get through this you get through those cards pretty quickly right so with the smaller group you probably got good amount of replaying it too because it's you know and and you start to know them and different people doing things is here's the thing though let's say you played this let's see me play this game again with two of us didn't play before and two new players a new player could get Oscar the Grouch and build something that to us doesn't look anything like Oscar the Grouch's what we know now is Nikki's Oscar the Grouch right right and they might be good one though and they might do something different with the same barrage cannon did not get and it's totally it yeah um I can't believe that I think I mean I knew the Blue Man Group one was okay that's fine I didn't think it was gonna be blue guy so I was either thing he police but then I was like police is just too generic yeah if you've done that for round three maybe just that Pharrell but it wouldn't been for I mean I got five points for that right remember oh drumming and first one was musicians I think musician maybe that may have been later but there was drumming and it was an interesting one but yeah it's it's really quite a good idea I mean I I heard about this you know from like a distance there was some development to this game I really want to know more about it now because I know that the Pantone theme is bizarre like putting that on here but it it works because you're using color chips and sprite if it's actually really really cool it could didn't have theme but what they within and it's neat I know I love that it's brandy but we were always joking that they should be really Pantone thing so you could use these for at least you can match these colors for Pantone that's speaking up and on you will play the game and then later let's do some work yeah pretty play the game with your like spouse and then later figure out what you're gonna repaint the den yes right only have these phones to choose from what are you what you get expansion colors [Music]
