hello I'm a pxy cat and one of my favorite things about minecraft is the fact that sometimes you can be doing things entirely unrelated to the game and you'll just have a wacky idea pop into your head that you absolutely know you have to make inside the game then next time you pick it up this is the inspiration behind so many of my weirdest things I built in Minecraft and it's something that happens to me so often that I have to sometimes just decide no this is gonna take so many hours of my life and people aren't even would be able to appreciate it at the end because it'll just look like something that was done in creative perhaps and then that's when I fought myself wait a minute why don't I take some of these ideas that I'm never gonna do which would be a boring idea by itself right like oh how about I tell you about things I didn't do in Minecraft but if we take some of these really bad ideas I've had reject and what have we tried to do them inside a Minecraft using its created game oh you'll notice were in it right now and you notice how I can test things like Oh what if I made an entire house or tower out of just trapdoor it's very easy to test in when crop using creative and commands and it's something therefore I figured why don't we test truely out you know just how fun and great some of my weird ideas would look if we did them in Minecraft so yeah here are some of my very worst ideas in Minecraft but we're gonna be building them in creative to see just how bad they really would be if we spent the effort and time to make them in survival because I'm sure I don't need to tell you that spending this amount of time crafting this many trapdoors would make you go a little bit crazy and placing them would make you go even crazier and the result would be something that people can't even really comprehend when they look at it doesn't really look like anything and it would just be like yeah why did you do that oh it turns out you're slightly crazy it'll make sense now and along that same vein let's move into the next thing that I'd love to do but it would totally make me look crazy because I have a great admiration for the desert temple it was one of the first structures added to Minecraft after the full release of the game and it's one of the first great structures in my opinion because it did trick me when I first went in it had that great thing of like oh you dig down and you get yourself there's some chests to you but wait a minute there's a pressure plate it blows you up and it teaches you a valuable lesson which is don't trust minecraft it's a dangerous game I guess but no it actually taught you something valuable and that's where I love this structure and if I thought myself would it be cool to remake it but way bigger and that's why I've always wanted to make a desert temple but at 10 times scale however getting ten times this amount of sandstone would be kind of tricky right but again this is where the fill command comes because just by using this command right here we can make ourselves a 10 by 10 by 10 block of sandstone right in front of us and that gives us the rubber wonderful ability of being able to block by block place this but placing you know literally a thousand blocks at the same time and that means that if we want to and you better believe we do we can start building this desert temple reconstructing it using these as kind of a guideline so we'll place ourselves a giant block of sandstone or at least ten by ten by ten things then we can move ten blocks forwards and we can do the exact same thing but over here Oh in this case we just discovered a ravine it turns out so there's a fun little fact for you but then we can do this over and over again and as you can see it's saving us a thousand block placements which previously would take us that you know it close to you know half an hour to destroy that many sandstone blocks close to that amount of time to build it but we can do it in literally a second which means this giant project we can do in a surprisingly short amount of time okay so I've now placed the base layer of the desert temple and you can see why this was a really bad idea to think I could do in survival because when you replicate a desert temple into time ten scale you thinks yourself oh well that's not like too many blocks ten times you know ten times bigger only requires ten times more blocks no because each one is a thousand it's a thousand times more blocks and that means this base layer alone this is literally just the bottom there at the desert temple it doesn't even look like anything lit yeah this is used up for hundred and twenty thousand box of sandstone and admittedly you wouldn't have to do all the inside blocks because if you looked into any part of this it's deep all the way down it looks as it should admittedly that's not necessary in the slightest but it is still kind of amusing to me that like yep we have we've already used up like a year worth of survival time and we did it in about five minutes and it looks like nothing and it's made me appreciate get kind of silly because also it went so much bigger than I expected we over it the entire finish which is why there's a lot of dead villagers and cacti and chest stuff around her and also we had to dig into this mountain a bunch obviously using the fill command again but yeah this is the first layer of the desert temple and I'm already starting to see why maybe I'm bad at calculations but let's move on to the second layer I guess so yeah another three hundred fifty thousand blocks or so and honestly you still can't quite perfectly see the desert temple effect coming together you know like you can see clearly there's like a step go but it's not quite a desert temple look yeah so uh yeah this would be a very frustrating stage to be at realizing that like ah there's so much more of the temple to go than just this base outline structure but we're gonna keep it up with the next layer up which gets a bit more complex because on the outside it's somewhat easy but then there's like this to deal with there's the fact that this sticks out a bunch like this there's things we have to deal with now so let's try our best so I put about another 40 minutes into placing the giant blocks here and as you can see the desert temple structure is vaguely coming together but we've made a pretty crucial mistake which I spotted way too late to actually do anything about because we made it way deeper than we made it wide and the thing is I actually check to see if it was a square quite a few times so I don't know how I got my you know my dimensions this far off but I did and it's kind of embarrassing okay and yeah as a result we've got a very strange desert temple style structure that I kind of think looks beautiful in its unfinished form this definitely isn't me just going our God I've been a far more than I can chew here it's definitely me saying actually it looks great this way and that's why I decided to really maximize that effect by making the entrance rather than making it full-sized I made it nice and tiny like a normal desert temple entrance would be and therefore as you can see after climbing up a few stairs you enter into the desert temple over here which for some reason contains a giant stack of you know trapdoors and yet everybody explains the scale of this thing when you can see that the trapdoor stack from earlier that was giant it's just that thing in the huge grand scheme of everything here and yeah I think that's beautiful personally maybe you disagree but yeah imagine if you did this like full-scale you spend this many thousands of sandstone blocks at this point wherever a million deep because we made them actually fill each time to imagine you spend a million sandstone blocks and then you realize oh actually did we miss align all of these that is a tragedy I can't even imagine because it was a tragedy after 45 minutes of creative work let alone you know I think close to an hour actually if creative work let alone the pain it would have been after all of that so yeah make you giant desert temple not a good idea for survival actually kind of a fun one for creative then I kinda want to get back to this sometime May well if people feel like it has potential because again there's just something grand about this and seeing by the way how the square cube root works that it's so much bigger than a default as temple but yeah I think this is wonderful but let's move into the next thing I think I would love to make because one of the things I've always loved in minecraft is never portals and the fact that they don't just have to be these boring squares in fact as of 1.7 so the update that changed the world it you know changed it all in a lot of ways but it also changed the world in a way that made never portals much bigger meaning that you could also if you wanted to and a layer in front of it and make it look like you made a never portal which had a different shape or a different size again there's something just lovely about it from this angle it looks kind of interesting from the other one too in my opinion but there's something really cool about the fact you can have never portals look like they're custom sizes and I've always wanted to do this to make like kind of a grid or checker pattern and it obviously the amount of obsidian would take in survival it's kind of ludicrous so why don't we try out here and create it first so right here we have ourselves a ludicrously sized never portal I think you can all agree this is absolutely huge and in fact it's so big that it's well above the size that you can actually light and make into a normal net Portland Minecraft I mean you can actually light this on fire and that might be a fun effect by itself but what I wanted to do today is to separate it into a bunch of smaller net portals but then have the back of those lines line up with these in a way and make a perfect grid pattern I'm gonna see how that actually would look so now we need to split the portal up into loads of smaller portals just like this one right here which are going to be equally square and then in front of that we can have an effect like this one and it's gonna look like there are loads of tiny squares that actually make up the big giant square portals behind them so let's do that but for all of this now can we you admit by the way that obsidian has to be one of the ugliest blocks that you can find on any version of Minecraft like when it's by itself you like ooh what a special block but when you put so much bit together and with the random rotations that bedrock tends to pull on each of the blocks it's just so depressing to stare at it and when you're placing line after line you really start to notice this orb detail so now I have all of these crisscross grids right here which looks kind of ridiculous I'll actually I would say kind of cool by itself there's something intriguing about this it looks like a bunch of Paris loads only gonna be looking at the texture too long but either way you can see that now like them individually which is kind of a fun satisfying feeling by itself like look at this already we've made the windows logo but have no portals but yeah we just kind of can fly up and down these lighting all of these portals making a pretty fun display from this end okay that is seriously satisfying by itself honestly do we even need to do the emirate of end of this there's just something beautiful about this making square with one rectangle never portal grids it's just or something great about that love it so much however now comes the fun or rather frustrating bit because I want to see what it would look like if we poke these little holes in it just like this except this top level to make the holes ourselves apparently but yeah I want to poke holes in and make look like this to see if this effect is something that is worth keeping and doing across the whole thing because if we do it this way it will look like we're covering up one giant neva portal or that we have a bunch of miniature nerve portals I'm not sure which one's actually a cool effect but yeah we can do that by just punching individual holes and there's no other mass way of doing this one but it would be a lot easier to creative than survival that's for sure so let's do so I've been making a lot of mistakes while I've been going through here cuz I've been trying to do it at speed because you know when you do frustrating things you make mistakes eventually and one of the things I've learned from this is that you can actually place blocks on top of the net portal if you want to like you can use as a thing to place on so I can place a block here by placing it on the side off the nerve portal which is really really weird I'm pretty sure it's a creative only thing because you can't break the portals like it's a thing if like it's a block of glass in survival but it's still very weird to see regardless also in case you're curious about how the pattern is shaping up pretty well so far and honestly always it's just satisfying to remember that every single one of these even with an efficiency pickaxe is like three seconds I'm saving and I can do maybe three in a second this way so we're at least 10 times faster if not much more because the scaffolding and stuff required so that makes me feel a lot better about the huge time it takes to poke this many holes in obsidian in creator so beyond just kind of seeing that the checkerboard pattern looks really good when you're looking at it head but it looks terrible from a side angle it doesn't look like an F portal over there it only looks like it from kind of close up so from this angle oh it's an unlimited never bottle from this angle you can see how like you can start to see some bit better but there's always gonna be that kind of Kirby effect I think this definitely has uses for doing you know like something cool like that but I think the way cooler use is in the bits you don't carve out again just by pure coincidence of what we haven't done this looks a little bit like a shoe right I decided to curve the edges around it and it's like yeah can you can you see the shoe there the shoe isn't much more focus than the big background behind it and I think the colors off that really adds to the emphasis on that or maybe I've been looking up sitting too long and everything makes me go crazy but personally I almost don't want to Benishek so I want to have something left in there that's you know very artistic in a way so I decided instead to put a bit more effort into making it look like a shoe and apparentiy I don't know what shoes look like because I think I made it look less like a shoe but yeah the giant shoe portal that on one side is a giant shoe and on the other side should look actually different here - yeah interestingly enough you get the same effect on this side but obviously flipped and much less vibrant so if you want to indicate something clearly like I'd know a Christmas tree I feel like this is actually something cool that I may have not invented but discovered or found out cuz I love the effect so yeah well you know it's actually a good idea that maybe I should do in survival maybe on a much lesser scale because doing this takes a lot of time but I actually I really like the concept so you might just see this con survival sometime what do you know it's an idea that wouldn't have been horrendous if I try to out first and survival but let's head over to the nether and let's talk about the next idea here because you know what the thing about the never and minecraft is that you never come here enough aha terrible jokes are side the never is quite famous for its giant lava lakes the most deadly feature and one could argue because you know being killed by a girl sucks but you can get your stuff back being killed by a fire and Webber combines slowly sucks but there's a way to fight your stuff back but these endless lava lakes the game froze at you are really daunting because they present the only fret that when you die you lose your stuff permanently and because they're everywhere they make they're never quite intimidating but this is the reason I've wasted be really cool to take these lava lakes which gone but seemingly endlessly and to fill all of the lava into buckets to replace all of the love that exists right now with something else and drain it that way draining the never sounds like an insane project but what if it wasn't so insane or what if you could test it perhaps using creative mode and what do you know there's a command for that so if we use this command right here as zero place lava every single bit of lava should be replaced by air except we went a bit too low on a negative corner right here but every single bit of lava should be replaceable via air this way and we can replace huge swaths of the the never quite easily okay we we now we specify too many what a terrible thing but um yeah basically we're gonna try our very best to remove all of the lava in the in a lake to see what the generation of the world looks like with lava underneath er so here is the before of my lava lake looking pretty natural as they never intended it goes without saying that the difference is pretty darn stock right and yeah the amount of time we can save using the fill come on here is pretty absurd actually because again we're talking about millions of you know lava blocks for a whole lobby like grieving for this little subsection we're talking about tens of thousands of buckets required and we have to use the lava some way or transport it somewhere even just the knee of sand would take you in 55000 lakhs of sand or somewhere much higher than that number I imagine and yeah you can see the difference is pretty staggering the biggest thing to me that I noticed though is that the ground is covered in more magma than I imagined and also there is of course never cuts here I don't know why I didn't expect that previously but it's still weird to see them all down there and like oh yeah when you remove the lava from the nipple it just looks like weird monkey cave generation with ugly cobblestone which if we're being real that is what the never it's right it's weird ugly cave generation with never Atkins that of cobblestone and with one of the most bagged Warhol's in the game and some magma and also soul sent to because why not and here's nothing I spotted just as a fun little aside so I decided to of course cover or like make a wall out of glass just over here it's like representing the end of where the project was being done and when I was accidentally playing around come on I made a mistake and I placed some glass going right from here and I've noticed that like having glass go free or lava which you could do quite easily if you use a law of resistance potion this could be a really fun project by itself because again seeing through the you know I guess seeing through the you know the lover in this way that's a really fun idea and it's made me think why not you know if we're if we've got the glass anyway why not make like a glass them so again imagine you have love resistance on and you can see some amount of well above this but yeah if you really wanted to you could kind of place a glass ton okay this is actually horrific but you can place a glass tunnel if you want to and then you could kind of like see through the nether and it'd be a really cool way to have a hidden tunnel cuz who's gonna expect that the best way to get further than ever is via a hidden underground tunnel not me that's for sure not really anyone I actually don't imagine and yeah this is horrific ly hard to do one of the hardest builds I would say to make and it'd be even harder to properly fit out that never but that's a fun thing I want to do in survival now so yeah if you see me make a lava tunnel in minecraft survival you know where the inspiration came from and that is one of the benefits of creative again I always talk about survival survival survival but sometimes you accidentally find things in creative that you perhaps wouldn't find in survival and this actually is one of those things again this is why creative needs to exist even if I'm a hundred percent survival player personally I had to go into survival just to get back to the overworld because it's easier to kill yourself than it is to link no portals correctly and my god seeing this in survival is a reminder of the true scale of this when compared to a Minecraft character and that's kind of cool the same thing is kind of true for the joint nerve portals as well like just yeah that's a lot of never portals I made over there and that's nice to see but anyway this exact same command we used to replace you know lava we can use to replace pretty much anything else including if we're so inclined stone with air and you might say why'd you want to do this and this is actually something else I've always wanted to do I wanted to excavate my world and make a giant you know gap or so you can feel the game kind of lagging under that one because I've always wanted to excavate in a really interesting way something like an abandoned mine shaft or a stronghold so that you could see the abandoned mine show up just kind of floating in the void just like this I love projects that expose things from underground and I think you know by using this thing come on and test get creative you can also have the AWS be left over we could also remove them by one if you want to but personally I love singing in this fashion I love seeing what the game generated versus what's the stone because it reminds me of those little kits used together you know kid at least I got once as a child where you you know excavate a dinosaur by you know like slowly digging the stone around it it's kind of like that but with a Minecraft structure you can see what a banner my job looks like - all the stone or sands the stone look at me using fancy Latin words when English words would have done but you can you know replace you know things like that and you can truly start to excavate and see what the Welker looked like and yeah I liked it here having a giant hole my world that shows off the entire generation of abandoned mine shop tour a stronghold because you learn a lot more about structure once you see it kind of laid bare your interaction with abandoned mineshaft and mine in Minecraft it seems like it's such a complex structure cuz like oh there's so many ways you can go and you know your brain does better certain way kind of like a hedge maze you don't truly understand a hedge maze until you look at it from above and I don't think you truly understand minecraft generation when it comes to things like you know these are bannermen shots until you properly excavate them just like this well so you make a lot of rope like ways go flying apparently but yeah really high up my list of things I love to do but I know would be like a mega you know week-long two-week long non-stop project would be excavating an abandoned mineshaft maybe a stronghold you know maybe even like just thinking or a ravine out besides the ravine itself except that would be way easier to do without having the ravine there originally I know there's a lot of like kooky ideas of like I'd love to tell them bigger things and I think this is gonna be up there cuz like isn't there something impress about seeing this huge perfectly square gap where there's just an abandoned mine show up floating outfit it looks fake and you know things looking fakers will make parrot things in the world because everything should look fake because if everything's fake then nothing's fake and then people who make fake things yeah now teach you how to live your life anyway so with that said besides you know using the same technique for like excavating a stronghold which is fun by itself right or using it for replacing lava in the you know the never with of course you know like the air you can do this pretty much anywhere you want to if you really want to for instance what you can choose to do is replace all of these sand in a desert yep even one that's this ridiculously size you can replace it with air which means that in pretty much no time at all compared to the survival equivalent again we're digging about an hour's worth of sand every single time we use this command we can destroy the entire desert in a time span this small which is really nice by itself I mean again taking the entire desert biome and destroying it so forth pretty great oh you can have a desert which has been ripped entirely bare if it's and besides weird bits that apparently have floating above bits but yeah you can destroy an entire desert that fast you can live the toy cat survival experience in that shan out of time and if you're really crazy you could make up a wacky concept like what if we wanted to cover it o in torches and you could just take the exact same thing of like you know use air to replace sand instead use you know like torches to replace s so you can put ever and then you put torches hid so torch zero replace her and this tells the game that every time i spots an air block you want to replace it of torches which means that this happens and although probably better ways to do it though unless torch rain you can see the end result is this lights up an entire desert this fast live your you know toy count survival experience dream that i'm sure we all collectively have and live it that fast probably better cool nuts to you so you don't cause so much lag but it's still it's beautiful right look at all these torches we've made and you might cause some lag if you do it slightly run like me but you can also end up with an entirely torch filled area which is beautiful if you want to decorate the area around your ludicrously sized minecraft structure which again i there's something just beautiful about the scale of big things like this but you can't help but be intrigued by also because it is so big and blocky it's like why would you make something so big and have it still look that blocky and that's minecraft for you right anyway the last bugbear of mine that i'd love to fix in minecraft sometime is the mountains so in my crop job addition you can sometimes very rarely find mountains that got 256 most the time they go only slightly off the ground but in minecraft bedrock for performance reasons something something mobile devices mountains only go up to about why 120 and even then most the time it's much lower like why 90 or something like that it's kind of sad if you ask me that mountains even in the most mountainous you know intended biomes like savanna empires you still gonna find them being pretty low which means the minecraft doesn't have the most impressive terrain and it'd be cool to fix that myself right and that's what we're gonna do right now and that's why we're using the command so the clone command is a bit confusing because you're effectively picking three sets of cornets the start of where you want the clone arrow to begin you've got the area the clone area should then go then you've got the clone sorry it should go to kind of like the fill thing but then you've got the areas you want it to go to so we're gonna take the 35 blocks in a 30 by 30 area above us and place them 30 pipe blocks up which means we should get I think we did that wrong actually oh there we go we should get as you can see right here our mountain on top of a mountain except we underestimated the size of our mountain so we I should have to tongue this one down a bit let's try this exact same thing again from the bomber over here but let's try it like a few blocks further down okay so we've taken the 21 blocks above us and then we're placed pasting them on the 21 blocks above us then what we can do is we can do it for the bottom of this which just to keep things easy we'll just play some grass here and we can place the 21 blocks above us on top of the 21 blocks above us and then for ease of simplicity we can do the same thing again giving ourselves sir a block to stand on we can paste the 21 blocks below us to the 21 blocks above us just like this we're gonna start to make a mountain again admittedly it's not the best mountain at the top we might need to do some customizations here or there but you can see we're starting to make a mountain pretty darn easily I mean again some some mild issues here so we're gonna try this one with just a mild redo here okay this time I made the area a little bit bigger and a little bit smaller at the exact same time which as we all know the solution to most problems and we're gonna be planning just this area but the entire mountain on top itself I know we went a bit too far back so a bit too far forwards so we want the entire mountain to be included in this one and the hope is that we can actually fit the whole thing in okay this time I'm sure I got the whole mountain in oh maybe I didn't actually oh yeah not not looking that way but we can just keep on cloning over and over again until we get the result we want and because now we're doing clones overlapping onto clones we're gonna start to get a weird result but if we do this all the way up and we do it enough times we should end up what we what we want so as you can see we've got a pretty convincing mountain that goes all the way to sky height right now and because we varied up our placements the tiniest bits you can see how the gaps between them gets a bit smaller but again this is an actually perfect eyelid net which is why we go a little bit further back and we do the same but trying to get even more of the sin so have you sent right over here I'm hoping this improves things somewhat I don't know what I actually expected but working was not the end result but it seems as though again there was a big mess before but we've mostly actually fixed by going in from this angle somehow that is true it's not what I expected to be true and it's still very rough around the edges but yeah playing around this command it's it's a lot of fun as you can see and it's something that you know can allow you to make results that definitely are not possible other game modes and although making a mountain this high and actually realistic is very hard apparently it doesn't mean it's not a lot of fun okay we've got one other way we can try this exact same thing we're gonna try our very best to make a mountain without using the replace command where things get messy we're just gonna build blocks our sail itself all the way up to where they need to go so here all the way to the ceiling of the world we'll make a big grass tower and then we'll make another big grass tower and then with our placement of these grass towers we should be able to make something that vaguely resembles a mountain if we believe in ourselves okay so I present to all of you the mountain I have made myself that mountain over there doesn't even look like a real mountain this mountain right here as you can see very convincing and all the way here at sky high and in case you thinking it only looks like this from the top because it looks so great from the top now you better believe there's lots of levels to this mountain so this is the main part of it but further down here about 100 blocks down naturally we have as you can see much more mountain oh look the list there's more curvature to it and then if you go even down from this you can find there's even more mountain then even more back down from that you can find there's multiple layers of this mountain because this is what real mountains look like in real life and we've replicated it to improve minecraft Bowl generation why is this not a naturally spawning structure I think it looks that beautiful that it really should be that reason and yet today we've improved Lincroft greatly we made desert temples the right size I improved never portals I covered a desert in scorches I've uncovered an abandoned mineshaft but most importantly we fixed the mountain biomes so yeah honestly playing around and you know in the creative game mode it's not what is my fault it's not my usual preference but I did have a lot of fun spending three to four hours doing this today and I want to encourage all of you if you enjoy playing around stuff too sometimes goof around and crazy thing you want to test something that you otherwise wouldn't do in survival because it's important to do things in survival sometimes but sometimes you know it's more important not doing things I'm not sure the message of that was actually you know I'm not sure the message the whole video is besides I'd know lower ivx like on twitter and hit that bell if you want to see more of my videos that's right you might think you're watching this video for entertainment but really it's a grand ploy to promote my Twitter and get them sneaky follows so thank you very much for watching this video I hope you enjoyed it and if you don't hit the bell then you're dead to me so goodbye [Music] you
