and i welcome all of the zoom gatherers and also those of you out there on all social media platforms thank you so much for joining us tonight we've been here since sunday nights we've been here worshiping as the men of the house ministered the word of god and worshipped with us and prayed with us so we've been having a great time fellowshipping together thank you those of you out there who have been with us we thank you those who just joined us we welcome you and we pray that tonight your life will be radically radically influenced by the holy spirit he comes to these gatherings because we come with him each of us who each of us who has the lord in our lives when we come together the lord comes with us and what does he come to do he comes to meet our needs all we have to do is worship him all we have to do is recognize him give him his rightful do that's only proper he's a creator he's the one that keeps the world together even this crazy crooked mixed up world it could be worse but god has set boundaries so that we were not utterly destroyed so we've come to worship him tonight and thank him because the bible says let the redeemed of the lord say so whom he hath what redeemed from the hands of the enemy have you been redeemed from the hands of the enemy how many of you came so close to be snatched how many of you came so close to be destroyed and the lord rescued you just in time well i think we ought to pause right here and raise our hands and worship the lord he is worthy to be praised from the rising of the sun to the going down of the same don't you ever show a change him saints don't you ever pinch off the praise give him the whole thing all of your heart praise him with your heart with your mind with your soul praise him even with your disappointments praise him with your questions and your confusion but let everything that have breath praise ye the lord i came to praise him today every time i come i must publicly say to you to the angels to all the demons to all the skeptics that i still believe he's lord and i still believe that he reigns and that's why i raise my hand i don't always feel like raising my hand i don't always have the strength to raise my hand but i do it anyhow because i want everybody to know who i serve i serve a risen savior he's in the world today i know that he's living no matter what men may say i see his hands of mercy i hear his voice of cheer and just the time i need him he's always there he lives come on you're not serving a dead dead jesus you're not serving a statue you're not serving some idea he lives christ jesus lives today he walks with me and he talks with me a long life's narrow way tight way he lives he lives salvation to impart you ask me how i know he lives he lives within my heart come on if he's in there then you can praise him the only ones that can't praise him like this if he's not in there but if he's in your heart it doesn't take much to say hallelujah thank you jesus praise you lord i love you i adore you i recognize you i acknowledge you i give you all the glory and the praise no one else deserves the acknowledgement for my life the keeper of my life the lover of my soul the lifter up of my head got a hedge around me lord have mercy when the enemy came upon me to to to to eat up my flesh the enemy stumbled and fell my god i thank you i thank you i thank you thank you for being my protector my guide and my keeper thank you lord thank you thank you thank you and even when i fell down you pick me back up again thank you lord oh he's worthy to be praised tonight i love to see the saints praise him because i know you have a reason to praise him oh yes i do i know you have a reason to praise him you may not be as loud as i am but you have a reason to praise him so when you praise him i'm excited because you're giving him what he deserves all my hallelujah belongs to you thank you lord thank you thank you for joining us as i said we've been here since sunday night and right now we're going to receive the evening's offering and we thank you for supporting us and we want you to give cheerfully he's giving you the grace to give we don't know how much you have to give that's between you and the lord but i want you to give it with a cheerful spirit and the instructions are there as to how to give god bless you let the glory of the lord let it rise among us let the glory of the lord rise among us let the praises of the king [Music] rise among us let it the rise let it rise among us let the glory of the lord let it rise among us let the praises of the king rise among us let it rise oh [Music] let the glory of the lord let the glory of the lord let it rise among us live the glory of the lord and let it rise among us let the praises of the king rise among us let it of the rise let the glory of the lord let it rise among us let the glory of the lord let it rise among us let the praises of the king among us let it rise [Music] [Music] [Music] amen amen amen let the glory of our king rise among us and you know when we highlight him like that we receive the benefits amen if you're sick you'll be healed if you're depressed you'll be lifted if you're confused you'll get clarity all because we exalt him as our king amen thank god for you being here tonight it started on sunday night and we thank god for pastor brian mckenzie talking to us from that same scripture first seventy two and eight and his title was hand over fist hand over fist talking us it's better to raise a hand than to raise a fist amen men lifting up holy hands over fist and then we thank the lord for on monday night we thank the lord for minister josh thomas talking about positioning ourselves because the scripture told the men and told the congregation how to position themselves men lifting up holy hands that's the posture that's the position position yourself to worship position yourselves to praise position yourself to serve and then tuesday night we thank the lord for deacon joseph osborne father osborne amen and minister stephen locke senior thanking god for those two men and father osborne talked to us as a father he reminds me of john my beloved teaching us to to serve the lord with love it's a real test the real test if we're really worshiping and surrendering to the lord is how we treat each other what a wonderful fatherly counsel that he gave us from his heart amen and then of course minister stephen locke just gave us a whole list of men that we need to we need to um look at men that that that lifted up holy hands men that worship and got results he said that these were ordinary men who got extraordinary answers such as hezekiah and and elijah and daniel and of course jesus christ encouraging us that we have models we have we have people to look at how did they go through their trial what did they do when they were they were back together their backs were against the wall they worshiped and they prayed thank you so much and then last night we have um reverend anthony jackson and he talked about my faith determines my behavior my faith determines my behavior whatever i believe is going to be lived out in my everyday activity my faith my belief system i don't know what your belief system is we believe in jesus christ and we believe that jesus teaches us how to live every day in every situation and if we believe it we will live it out maybe not perfectly because we all make mistakes and we all sometimes feel like we know better than god but when we get our right minds back we we go right back to what he says because he have benefits to be derived we get peace and we get joy and we are effective in our christian walk well tonight we have another double header and we have our deacon marks uh stevenson and reverend willie littles they are going to be speaking one behind the other deacon mark and reverend willie will be speaking to us on this from the same scripture now each night it was just amazing that that one scripture could give us so much information and nobody said the same thing the same way they all brought something fresh to the text it's not amazing that should teach you read your bible and read the same thing because every time you read it something new comes alive amen and so we're going to receive them but before we do that we'll have a semantic solo by reverend kendra eaglin in that order thank you [Music] no light in the darkness you see [Music] there's light for all [Music] so turn your eyes upon jesus [Music] look for his wonderful face [Music] and the things on earth will grow strangely to him in the light of his glory and grace his word shall not fail you he promised [Music] then go to a world that is dying his perfect salvation to tell [Music] face and the things on earth will grow strangely down in the light of his glory and [Music] grace upon jesus look in his wonderful face and the things on earth will grow strangely still in the light of his glory and grace [Music] glory to god glory glory to god let's turn our eyes upon jesus oh god father we thank you tonight oh god as we turn our eyes upon you tonight let's give reverend kendra wonderful wonderful of god father we thank you tonight for your grace and your mercies oh god father we just want to give you honor would just want to give honor to god tonight to god who's the head of my life and i want to give honor to our bishop jacqueline e mccullar overseer overseer robin edwards pastor george and his wife the pits the pips pastor brian and pastor nadine mckenzie my fellow deacons and deaconess and to the ministers my loving wife melanie 13 years of marriage thank god love you and to my um my kids and grandkids tonight we should be watching as well god bless there are that they will receive a word tonight and i just want to give i just want to um thank our bishop once again for the opportunity to be able to speak to guys people okay and um want to give uh want to reach out to our streamers um on all the platforms and last but not least to um our alliance churches pastors and leaders good night to everyone and um i just want to go straight to the text here begins god's holy word i will therefore that men pray everywhere lifting up holy hands so far of god's holy word lifting up holy hands without wrought or doubting so far the reading of god's holy word and i'm just going to go straight to the word the purpose here paul had a threefold purpose in writing prostitute so his truthful purpose to timothy to a to exalt timothy himself about the his ministry and personal life to exalt timothy to defend the purity of the gospel and its holy standard from corruption and false teaching and three to give timothy instruction concerning various churches matters and problem at ephesus welcome to our man's revival the title tonight is the instruction for prayer and our theme is men lifting up holy hands first timothy 2 8 chapter 2 verse 8 i therefore that men pray everywhere lifting holy hands without rod and roth and doubting and my first point lifting up holy hands what is holy hands properly holy in a moral sense pure in heart tempered or disposition free from sin and sinful affections apply to the supreme being holy sanctified pure immoral character and man is more or less holy as his heart is more or less sanctify or purify from evil disposition we call a man holy when his heart is conformed in some degree to the image of god and his life is regulated by the divine precept of god be only for i am only first peter one followed consecrated or set apart for a secret use or to the service or worship of god script script scripture command that we we worship god that we exalt his name and offer him our praise there is a biblical precept for both the lifting of ends and the clapping of ends as an act of worship psalms 47 verse 1 says clap your hands all you nations shout to god with cry of joy in this instance both clapping and shouting out joy joy and lifting up holy hands enjoy worship to god or urge in first timothy 2 and 8 as we as we repeat again we read i want men everywhere to lift up holy engine prior without anger or disputed the emphasis of this verse is is the attitude of the heart however we see that lifting hands is is appropriate pastor for prior in worship having these biblical precepts we can safely conclude that both of those expression can be an act of worship example the story of her of a righteousness really starts with a man named abraham in the asian city of york in modern day iraq god called ibrahim to leave his country his people and his father household to go to the land god would show him god promised to make aaron into a great nation and bless the nation of the world through him genesis 12 1 through 3. in faith abraham gather up his whole soul and left several years later god told abram do not be afraid abraham i am your shield and your very great reward genesis 15 and 1. abram asks abraham asked god what god could give him since abram still had no children god again promise him and hear and hear of an offspring as numerous as the stars genesis 15 2 2 5 abraham believed the lord and he credit to him as righteousness genesis 15 6. what was what was morally excellent or righteous about abraham liv believing god he had not sacrificed anything to that he had not done something some mighty works in god's name he had not even perfectly trusted god in in the journey so far genesis 12 genesis chapter 12 verse 11 to 20. he hadn't done anything except listen to that word we listen to god's words and accept them as through and for that abraham counted counted was counted for righteousness in god's eyes if we look at the definition of righteousness again the quality of being moral right or justifiable it is clear that this incident set the foundation for justification by faith a concept explored many more times throughout scriptures so basically what this is saying holiness in the sight of god a holy man who since sincerity sincerity through sanctification this example this is an example of obedience to god so this is the show is if we listen to the word of god and be obedient we can be successful we can achieve things just as we lift up our hands to pray to intercede we will able to see the result just as however i'm able to do so which takes me to my second point my second point doubting so what is doubting to be uncertain about something to believe that something may not be through or is unlikely to call into question the truth of god in first timothy 215 here begins a reading of god's holy word for there is one god and one mediator between god and man the man jesus christ genesis one and one here begins reading of god's holy word says in the beginning god's create heaven and the earth john 1 1 here begins a reason of god's holy word in the beginning was the word and the words was with god and the word was god so you don't have to have doubt about who you're lifting up holy hands to if we can receive the word of god and believe lifting up holy hands would be easy so these are some powerful verse because this is showing us who god is this is his word that he provides for us so we will able to believe in him which takes me to my conclusion what is prior so what is prior prayer is communicated with god and him communicating with you but it's more than that it is a relationship communion it is a fellowship communion and relationship just want to give um reverend pat and um missionary sheila credit they have an excellent um prior class and and um sunday mornings that was from that class i just wanted to give them credit because i steal that far from them so god bless you for you for your work and your willingness um your prior class on sunday morning i invite everyone to to um if you want to learn how to pray you need to listen to them every sunday morning right now after the 11 after the 10th after the 7 30 service in the morning so pry is crying out to god because he hear the cry of his people in exodus three seven through nine just read a portion of this just to give you how when people cry out to god to let you know that he's listening here and the lord said i have surely seen the affliction of my people which are in egypt and i've heard their cry because of their past masters for i know their sorrows and i am come down to deliver them out of the end of the egyptians and to bring them up out of that land unto a good land and to a land flowing with milk and honey and stepping don't know therefore the cry of the children of israel has come unto me hear the response of god and i have also seen the oppression where with these these the egyptian oppressed them and in psalms 34 17 through 18 they begin the reason of god's holy word and the righteous cried and the lord hear it and deliberate them out of all their chunks the lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart and save it such as be of a contrite spirit so these are powerful examples just to show us who god is this is why we have to pray pray without season first thessalonians 5 16 through 80 and james 5 verse 16 he said an effectual pervert prior of a righteous man a valid much luke 18 verse 1 said men ought to always pray and not fame so man my brothers before me and coming after just want to give god thanks while we were able to deliver his word that his people will be able to open their heart to receive something from this and to able to pray call out to god to be able to receive answers and we just have to remember that we can't pray and miss we're not we're not speaking to santa claus so we can't pray a miss so as we continue to hold up holy hands as men interceding for our brothers and our sisters for our kids father we just want to thank you tonight for your grace and your mercy and kindness towards us we'll lift you up oh god we give you praise we give you honor we magnify your name in jesus name and i turn it over to our next speaker thank you god bless you our next speaker is coming shortly coming shortly we thank god for uh our deacon mark did a masterful job let's encourage his heart let's encourage his heart and reverend willy littles is coming at this time just before he does somebody prayed for me have me on their mind took the time to pray for me i'm so glad they prayed i'm so glad they prayed i'm so glad they prayed for me somebody prayed for me they had me on their mind took the time to pray for me i'm so glad they prayed i'm so glad they prayed i'm so glad they prayed for me somebody pray somebody pray for me had me on their mind took the time to pray for me [Music] i'm so glad they prayed i'm so glad they're great i'm so glad they [Music] [Applause] [Music] oh i'm so glad they prayed i'm so glad they prayed i'm so glad they prayed for [Music] me their minds took the time to pray for me i'm so glad they prayed i'm so glad they prayed i'm so glad they prayed for [Music] [Music] i'm so glad they prayed i'm so glad they prayed i'm so glad they prayed for me saints don't stop praying for the lord is nice says he'll hear your cry for the lord has promised and his word is true saints don't stop praying says don't stop praying for the lord it's night saints don't stop praying he'll hear your cry but the lord has promised his word is true saints don't stop praying he'll answer you one more time since don't stop praying for the lord is nice says don't stop praying you'll hear your pride for the lord has promised his word is true says don't stop praying says don't stop says praying stop praying [Music] [Music] yes please don't stop praying [Applause] [Music] willy littles at this time he's having just a little problem with the with the internet trying to get on amen but we're going to believe he'll be on in a minute amen praise the lord let's just raise our hand and worship the lord and thank the lord for the word that he has given us tonight thank god for deacon mark instruction for prayer and you know what he said lifting up hands and clapping is in the bible those of you who don't like to raise your hand and clap but the bible said lift up your hands all the people come on shout to god with a voice of what triumph he said a high praise in your mouth and a two-edged sword in your hands so we need to just practice it right now because we know there are things that we have on the altar we want god to do something about right now we have emergencies one of our our viewers that's in in the um chat said we prayed for her husband and her husband is coming out the hospital come on we thank god that the lord answers prayer i just got a call from little alana brewer her grandmother is just going into the hospital lord we send that word right now and we command that you send healing and we rebuke anything that comes to affect her body permanently lord help her to go in there and come right out we thank you god we send you a word we send your word as the centurion said you don't have to come to speak a word my god your name is jehovah rapha i am the lord glory to god that healed me come on saints the lord has given us a praise break for healing just raise your hand i don't know what's going on in your life right now but god didn't give us this break for nothing here we've heard enough word and we've heard so much word that we can just hear it and don't do anything about it but thanks me to god that came by to give us victory god bless you reverend will we're ready for you right now praise the lord praise the lord praise the lord praise the lord amen amen from the rising of the sun to the going down of the same god bless you sir [Music] praise the lord thank the lord for his mercy and his goodness and his kindness oh god thank you for your this day um first of all i want to just give honor to the lord jesus christ i thank him for his love and kindness i thank him for his grace and mercy [Music] i thank him for his peace and also we want to just give thanks to our bishop tonight um bishop jacqueline e mccullough um i just want to give thanks to you for your kindness and your opportunity for my opportunity to speak before god's people um i just want to thank god for his mercy excuse me i think something else is playing in the background something else is on so it's talking while you're talking do you have anything else thank you on thank you lord bless your name god thank you lord come against the satan right now in the name of the lord jesus that will try to hinder this word thank you thank you jesus thank you lord continue to pray saints continue to pray thank you lord [Music] thank you [Music] okay how was that okay thank you sir once again i just want to give thanks to the lord i just want to give honor and thanks to the lord for this day and this opportunity to speak before his people i also want to give thanks to the lord for our bishop bishop jacqueline e mccullough i thank you bishop for this opportunity and i thank you for your patience and um i thank you for um your coaching your teaching and your guiding your guidance i also want to give honor to overseer robin edwards and um i thank god for pastor george hyman and his wife i just want to um greet um all pastors and and all um pits and i want to greet all the ministers the reverends the deacons the missionaries and god's people i just wanted you to turn to our theme tonight and it's found in first timothy chapter 2 verse 8. that's first timothy chapter 2 verse 8 here begins the reading of god's holy word i will therefore that men pray everywhere lifting up holy hands without wrath and doubting so far the scripture my uh title for my subtitle for this message is oh lord please tell me what to do with my hands when i lift them up to you oh god here we are in um just a short background history um we just also want to give thanks for all the one special i was i want to stop and just pause for a minute and just give thanks to all the brothers that came before me especially my um the brothers uh pastor um brian mckenzie and i also want to acknowledge uh minister joshua thomas um deacon joseph osborne minister um stephen locke senior i also want to acknowledge um um reverend anthony jackson what a wonderful word last night all of them was good um and then i want to acknowledge um my um partner that went before me um deacon mark stevenson and so let's um do a little bit of background um if you've been taking notes you pretty much um we just sounding the same but we really want to pull out what is god saying tonight and so i my my my theme is really a counseling session with a young son a counseling session with a young son whether he is a spiritual son focusing on a spiritual son but the young people right now because um we have to continue to show the young people what does it mean what does it mean when you lift up your hands okay so as a matter of fact before we go there i have a little video if that's ready if we can show that little video before i go into the history in the background please i have a lot of memories from when i was a child one that's always stuck out to me though was when i was about 10 years old and i was in school and i struggled and i didn't struggle with english math or science i struggled holding still and i would try to listen and focus and process ideas but i couldn't help myself and to be honest i would sit there and then i would just start tapping and the students in the class would look at me and they'd say hey stop tapping a lot of the time i didn't even realize i was doing it and then eventually even the teachers got after me and they would yell at me and they'd say clint you have to stop tapping it got so bad that i got sent to the principal's office for tapping and he said to me okay maybe when you go back to class just try sitting on your hands so i did i went back to class and when i felt myself starting to tap i just i did this i sat on my hands and that worked for about five seconds one time i was tapping in class and my teacher mr jensen he looked at me and he yelled and he said clint stay after class and i thought to myself this is it i am done now i've always been the type of person that believes that a single moment in time can change a person's life and this was one of those moments for me and i will never forget it so i was sitting there with mr jensen and an empty classroom he walked past me and he sat next to his desk and he said clint come here i want to talk to you and as he looked me right in the eye he said now i need you to know something you're not in trouble but i do have just one question that i have to ask you [Music] and he asks he said have you ever thought about playing the drums and in that moment mr jensen he leaned back and he opened the top drawer of his desk and he reached in and he pulled out my very first pair of drumsticks and he held them in his hands and looked at me and he said hey clint you're not a problem i think you're a drummer [Music] from that moment on i've never put those sticks down i've toured recorded and played drums all over the world my whole college education was paid for with drumsticks in my hand just because of a single moment in time when somebody believed in me and he saw something in me that i didn't even see within myself [Music] and from that moment i learned that there's a difference between being the best in the world and being the best for the world what a powerful what a powerful message come on put your hands together and let's give the lord a praise because he sees our gifts and he believes in us so here we are in first timothy this letter was written by the apostle paul to his spiritual son timothy some scholars say this letter was written between um 62 and 63 a.d also some scholars say that timothy was a son or was the son of a gentile father and a jewish mother and grandmother the apostle paul asked timothy to join his team in acts 16 1 through 1-3 timothy became paul's close friend and helper to paul a fall now timothy is now a pastor and leader of the church of ephesus some scholars say that paul writes this letter to timothy as a spiritual father to encourage him as his own son in the gospel paul um paul warns timothy that there was some problems in his church he gives him advice both for the christians and himself godly fathers and godly mentors are needed for the young men this is so important today my first point two points oh lord can you teach me how to pray oh lord can you teach me how to pray first timothy chapter 2 verse 8 says i will therefore that men pray everywhere lifting up holy hands now you know that pastor bryant and all the men was dealing with prayer the different kinds of prayer um the different kinds of prayer to be made for leaders kings and everywhere praying everywhere for everyone but i want you some to focus on tonight on just pray right here pray is strong's g 43 40 36 and g21 uh g21 672 to offer prayers or to pray to god to supplicate also to worship one must or we must including myself we must realize and believe that god is god alone and also we also must realize that we are not on god's level the bible says in the beginning the word was god and the word was with god and the word became flesh and dwelt among us when we remember when we remember that god is holy we realize that he has a what they call a requirement a boundary i know we like to go straight into god's presence i know you know we can have prayer warrior prayer summons but this little piece right here we have to remember every time we go into his presence we have to teach the young people and the men that god is holy leviticus 19 7 says you shall sanctify him for he offers the bread of of your god he shall be holy to you for the lord who sanctify you am holy and you shall be to me a kingdom of priests and holy and a holy nation these are words that you shall speak to the people of god or to the children of israel first peter um 2 and 9 says but you are a chosen people a royal priesthood a holy nation god's what's this god's special possession that you may declare the praises wow of him who called you out of darkness into the marvelous light what a mighty god first peter chapter 1 verse 16 says be holy for i am holy be holy that's the requirement that's the bounty when we get ready to go into god's presence we have to make sure that before we even pick our hands up before we even say a prayer before we even do anything for the lord we must we must check our stand we must check ourselves we must go in a place of humility in order for us to go in the presence of a god of god now when we realize that god is holy then there's four things that we can do so young people i'm really want to reach out to you and and what i want to you to learn tonight is not just the young people but i really want to emphasize the young people because i remember time passed when i we used to come into service i would look at the i would i would look on the side and most of the young people are sitting on the side and they look like they don't know what's going on so i really want to encourage them tonight about first you're coming into god's presence and he has a requirement a boundary he wants us to be holy he wants us to be set apart he wants us to live set apart he wants us to be sanctified and when we offer praise when we do lift up our hands or when we do pray to him or even when we preach about him he wants to be able to use our vessel so his holy spirit can move through us so he can touch the hearts of mankind somebody say amen to themselves amen so here also in um my point one is to make a request in hum in a humble manner to addre to address a holy god now here go the first thing we must recognize and do we must recognize and we must adore what's called adoration which means telling god how great he is telling him how much you need him calling him by his holy name lifting up songs when you talk to him when you tell him how good he is when you tell him how kind he is you are adoring him you are adoring him you are telling him that he is a great god he is the only god he is the only god of gods he is the king of kings and he is the lord of lords and you also express um that you can't do nothing without him i was listening to a song the other day and the songwriter says when you don't know what to say call his name jesus when you don't know the words to say call his name jesus when you call his name he comes into your midst when you come when you call on his name he comes right there on the spot the bible says he's an ever-present help in the time of trouble he is the only wise god so when we adore him when we lift him up he said he will draw all men unto himself it says me but i just want to just emphasize when we go into prayer we must go into prayer and the first thing we do is adore him we adore him i know we have a lot of other things but right before we go into everything else the list or the requests we must acknowledge him as god our only present help our only shelter in the time of storm and then the next word i want you to um write down or remember when you go into his presence is um confession that word is see all right the bible says in um what john 1 and 9 he begins to reading of god's holy word but if we confess our sins he god is faithful and just to forgive us from our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness or all wickedness hallelujah so when i come before the glory or when i stand before the lord or before i order anything before god i must confess what reverend pat being always said get tender before the lord i must confess the things i did and the things i don't know i did i just have to check i just want to check and do a checklist and say okay lord you know forgive me that uh whatever i did i i got mad i'm holding unforgiveness i'm holding some businesses whatever i'm doing i just need you to forgive me and i'm confessing to you because you the only one can cleanse me you're the only one that can give me therapy you're the only one that can cleanse me from all unrighteousness clean me up god and this is going on way before i put my hands in the air way before i put my sky because we have to deal with our unrighteousness and sins that we do every day the bible says if you say you haven't sinned you're a liar so you can't say you haven't sinned sometimes we sin and don't realize we're sinning disobedience god said do this and you're not doing it and then you know what happens you know you just you know you just feel that you heard from god but you didn't wait on the lord and now you're out there and now god has to now use other things to snatch you back from the hand of the enemy so it's good that the lord put this in place so we can be able to talk to him in confession now that's just one six or one scripture that i'm using but that is my favorite scripture that helps me and another scripture i want to use i didn't put that down i brought to mind thank you lord it's david david in psalms 51 he cries out to god he says have mercy o lord according to your loving kindness according to your tender mercies brought out my transgressions and my sins for you alone have i sinned and then he takes it to another level he says to the lord to the lord created me a clean heart and renew a right spirit within me see what happens is the the mouth the heart and the hands have to line up the mouth with the confession then the heart okay with the sin because the bible says our hearts is deceitful above everything and desperately wicked who knows your heart the lord knows your heart so here is god allowing us to come before him but he gives us the scriptures so we can confess with our mouth our shortcomings our wrongs and our transgressions amen and then he go s it means supplication supplication here we can look at uh psalm or psalms 86 verses 1 through 6 here begin the reading of the of god's holy word hear me o lord answer me for i am poor and needy this guy's begging god my life for i am fit i am faithful oh of i am faithful to yours to to you save your servant who trusted or who trusts in you you are not you are my god have mercy on me lord for i call to you all day long bring joy to your servant lord for i put my trust in you lord you lord you forget you are forgiving and good abounding in love to all who call upon you or call to you hear my prayer lord listen to my cry for mercy when i am distressed did i say distress this pandey is called a lot of people distressed hearing prayer when i am distressed i call to you because you answer me amen praise god thanksgiving thanksgiving here we see that in first thessalonians 5 and 16 he begins the reading of god's holy word always i've i um rejoice always pray continually give thanks to all circumstances for this is the will or this is god's will for you in christ jesus now it came up a little wrong but it i'm i'm spelling out the words a c t s all right a c t s my second point here here is a prayer father now sanctify my hands when i lift them up to you in worship sanctify my hands when i lift them up to you in worship do you know that i just found out as i'm doing this study that i was lifting up my hands and didn't know why i was listening to the praise and worshiper now i've been saved a long time and and doing preaching it whatever but this message really struck me because i didn't know that my hands met something my hands to god meant something so young people and men your hands are made to worship god when you lift up your hands to god in is in his holy temple or in your home or in your car when you lift up your holy hands to god you lift up holy hands and knowing that god will come down into your midst because your hands are set apart what does sanctification mean or sanctify mean sanctified definition or the definition for sanctified means to set apart as or declared holy to consecrate to free uh and to free from sin and free and and free from sin and purify so when i lift up my hands of god after i took the after i went and did my confession and after i went to god and i i asked him to create me create in me a clean heart now when i come into his presence now i don't have to be pumped and pride and i understand what this mean bishop oh my god i understand now i didn't understand i'm 58 years old i didn't understand that these hands are set apart from god the and so i'm so i'm so grateful that the lord took the time out to show me that your hands is set apart now my body and my life is set apart but it you can be set apart there but not knowing that your hands are set apart now let's look at what god does for hands that's set apart let's talk about three men there's so many men but let's talk about three men that god uses to set their hands apart i'ma need the help from the media and i'm gonna give the scripture the first one is train hands for war and battle we can find that in psalms 144 verses one and two that's psalms 144 verses 1 and 2. hallelujah here begins the reading of god's holy word bless be the lord my strength which teaches my hands to war and my fingers to fight oh god so i know i know i know you guys not getting it but i gotta get this because when i stretch out my hands i got warrior hands and i i got finger i got fingers to fight so i can imagine pastor george on the keyboard and he's playing but he is battling with his fingers and using his hands and his fingers to do spiritual warfare ah god oh god next scripture is exodus chapter 17 verse 19. i mean verse 11. i'm sorry verse 11. exodus chapter 17 verse 11. thank you lord hear here begins the reading of god's holy word and it came to pass when moses held up his hands that israel prevailed oh my god thank you bishop from holding up your hands he cannot say and when he let that is his the immelec prevailed so far the scripture it is so important when we are in warfare when we are in battle when we are doing war when our bishop holds up her hands she holds up her hand to do battle oh my god oh my god and when her hands get weak pastor george and overseer robin edwards your job is to hold up the bits of hands so her hands won't get weary as she holds her hands over the lord's people hallelujah the next scripture i want to the next part of or the next hands i'm talking about is lifting up hands to give thanks and praise to god you can find that in nehemiah chapter 8 verse 6 nehemiah chapter 8 verse 6. here begins the real of god's holy word and ezra bless the lord and the great god and and all the people answered amen and amen with lifting their hands and they bow their heads and worship the lord with the with their faces to the ground look at that is going on right here after the israel blessed the lord he lifted his hands he bound his head and then he worshiped god and this kind of worship he puts his face to the ground that means he prostrated before the lord he took his whole body and laid down to the lord to bless him to worship him to to acknowledge to give thanks and to give praise and my final my final hands are hands that bless the people of god let's look at leviticus chapter 9 verse 22 the three kind of hands that god has given his people and aaron lift lift his hands towards the people and bless them and came down and came down from offering of the sin offering and the burnt orphan and the peace offering so far of the scripture and i want to do one more scripture is isaiah 41 verse 9 isaiah 41 verse 9. here begins the reading of god's holy word thou whom have taken from the ends of the earth and called thee from the chief men thereof and said unto thee thou art my servant i have chosen thee and has cast thee and not cast thee away so far the scripture so here is three hands that god has shown us today so like overseer would always say i want to give you a homework assignment i want right now all everyone that's under the sound of my voice to lift up their hands and bow their heads as i'm going to pray a blessing upon you and after i pray a blessing upon you i want you to praise god and worship him our obedience to his word tonight the lord wants to shift our lives the lord wants to shift our lives in this pandemic and the bible says the lord commanded aaron to pray this prayer over the children of israel it's found in numbers numbers chapter 6 verse 24 through 26 here begins the reading of god's holy word the lord bless thee and keep thee and be gracious unto thee the lord left his countenance upon thee and gave thee peace in jesus name come on let's give the lord a hand clap our praise let's give the lord a handcuff of praise men lift up your hands if you receive that come on you know you got some challenges some situations some fears but come on and lift up your hands to god and say to the lord i receive the ship i receive the blessings of the lord upon my life the lord bless you bishop with my hands lifted up and my mouth filled with prey with a heart of thanksgiving [Music] i will bless thee oh lord [Music] and my mouth filled with prey [Music] with the heart of thanksgiving i will bless thee oh lord i will bless thee o lord i will bless [Music] with the heart of thanksgiving i will bless thee o lord [Music] [Laughter] i will bless thee oh lord [Music] with the heart of thanksgiving i will bless [Music] let's just put our hands together and thank the lord for another another night when two of our brothers two of our family members men of this church brought you the word of life we thank god for deacon mark talking to us tonight about instruction for prayer and what that instruction entailed and he went into details about the prayer how we should pray and also coming before the lord as holy people and what does holiness mean being set apart being sanctified which means that our hands are also sanctified as we come before the lord and then thanking god for reverent will just giving us a wonderful word and just walking us through this whole thing about holy hands and prayer he told us about acts amen that we must acknowledge we must confess we must thank the lord and we can supplicate and in that manner it sets us up to receive from the lord and then he talked about hands my god hands in war hands in blessing hands to minister and then he talked about how aaron blessed the people so it's not just our hands but our hearts but whatever is happening in your heart let's as reverend jackson said last night whatever is going on in your heart is going to come out in your hands so we thank the lord that we are challenged no more to be just passive withdrawn divorced worshipers that we must bring everything that we are and lifting up our hands you see your hands is what you do what you do with your life whatever you is in your heart that's what you do in your hands and your feet so to lift it up to the lord is to ask god to cleanse what you do cleanse how you do it cleanse the attitude into it are you reaching out are you being effective anointing your hands to do we extend it to be his hands reaching out to people oh ladies and gentlemen we will never ever look at our hands the same and that little clip that little clip that he showed i was finished i was still finished i was he showed it to me before because you know i couldn't take it i could not take it and even when i saw it again to know that god knows what to do with our hands and he tells us what to do with our hands that little boy would have been thoroughly destroyed he could have been labeled his hands could have end up in mischief somebody recognized what his hands could do and then geared him in the right direction so that he can he says i've not i don't play for myself i play four people because his hands were given to bless others amen i just pray that we will be able to see our children he's targeted our young people you know many times we're neglectful and we're sloppy because we're so busy all those teachers all of the other people even his parents probably didn't know how to zero in and i'm praying that god will send the right people into those children's lives that will take whatever is in them and gear it towards what god wants you know what i'm saying you're blessed when you have somebody like that when somebody can see you and say look this is what your hands were made to do this is what god call you to do and i'm going to give you the the the the uh he gave them the drumsticks he told him what to do and released him ladies and gentlemen hands are powerful when they're raised up hands are powerful when they worship hands are powerful when they surrender hands are powerful when they give thanks hands are powerful when they serve so come on and raise those hands and worship the lord tonight hallelujah to jesus thank you lord thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you gloria and judy glory to god thank you for giving us hands that can change the world lord hands that can help lives hands can that that can relieve pain and suffering hands that can minister life and kindness oh we thank god for that tonight and i want to salute the men you know you all have been here supporting each other and i really appreciate that because nobody is an outstanding speaker of the other nobody preaches anybody else i don't care what we do we all have our various gifts and we all minister according to our several abilities you understand so for you to sit here and encourage your brothers i really respect you for that i thank you for supporting the brothers it's not easy it's not easy preaching on zoom in person and trying to get your thoughts across and making sure that you get the right thing out but thank you so much for being here and we were happy for our brothers tonight continue to stay in that word and i thank god for reverend will's confession he said he didn't oh you know you wonder why people don't raise their hands and you can't assume that because people are in church for a long time that they even know what to do we made that as we make that assumption now people can be in church for a long time and still don't have the understanding and the light doesn't go on the light went on for him that he has to lift his hands he could even preach it and don't do it but something clicked in his mind and let him know oh listen these are sanctified hands lift them before the lord so i hope that we take this word home tonight encourage these brothers pray for them pray for them amen and we thank god that there are men in the church they're not perfect amen nobody's perfect but we thank god for them being consistent being here standing in the gap and every time we meet they stretch our hands now we won't be looking around chewing gum playing with our phone we'll appreciate it because it's biblical amen commanding the aaronic blessing may the lord bless you and keep you may the lord cause his face to shine upon you may the lord cause his countenance to rest upon you and listen to this and give you peace now who doesn't want peace glory to god thank you jesus we thank you lord we look at that look at that we're praying that all our young boys and all our children will learn to raise up holy hands so that their hands won't be caught in mischief so there'll be no handcuffs putting on their hands that they'll be free to worship the lord amen praise the lord thank you so much for joining us tonight thank you very much i hope you have received something from this i hope you took the notes i hope you remember so that in your worship you will not be neglectful and even on your worst days you will have your hands up even when you don't feel like it you will do it because it's not based on feeling i will bless the lord at all times thank you so much we'll be back here to close out tomorrow night at eight o'clock please come and be with us you are always welcome
