MY FIRST VIDEO GAMES CONSOLE!!!

so I get asked all the time by you guys what my first ever video game was and it was on a console called the snares or the SNES and was a game called Super Mario World now this medicine was released in November of 1990 almost one year to the day before I was born and no as much as I would have liked to I wasn't born playing video games that was slightly weird but I did end up getting one as my first ever video game console now I know what you're thinking Dan why are you even talking about this well thanks to Nintendo I now have the opportunity to relive and replay my first ever video game console thanks to this the snez mini oh I'm holding upside down the snare is mini no I still have my first ever console which is one of these but it says mini for a reason because this is about at least four times smaller than what I've got and played when I was younger also there's 20 games built inside this thing somehow because back when I was playing one of the original ones of these you have to put full on cartridges in the top which were almost about I guess this size up to here about 3/4 of the size of this finished console so this full console the 20 games inside is just a little bit bigger than one single game cartridge back when this was around which is insane also of course is has HDMI ports power everything so I thought I'd boot it up and play it for you guys because I did this with the NES special edition the mini one which was a earlier version of this but this has better games on it this was legit the first console ever owned and played and thanks to this console I'm doing this now for a living which is crazy oh also they've got the retro controllers as well which oh man just by looking at this it brings back so many memories as play this thing yes even though even the languages screen has a pop on it oh yes here we go guys so the games that bring back memories instantly for me ah Donkey Kong Country Kirby's a dream cause I'm here Street Fighter 2 a game you will all recognize Super Mario karts Super Mario World which was the first game that I ever played ever and of course a Legend of Zelda a link to the past which is an amazing amazing game if you're a fan of Zelda and haven't played it do it I don't know what to play first oh man it's kind of real Super Mario World oh man even the music bring back memories right I'm gonna play the first few levels and then we're gonna hop into a different game welcome this is dinosaur lands dinosaur lands but it looks like Bowser is at it again jump ah yes it had the world map and everything let's go so we had two different jobs you've got this one and you've also got this one and then you can run as well ah yes there we go Oh what up look at all I can remember is already so Yoshi was actually a big part of it and here he is alright thank you for rescuing me my name is Yoshi on my way to rescue my friends Bowser trapped me in that egg so you can ride Yoshi you can actually eat things specifically apples check this out you can literally eat them you can eat up enemies as well so I eat this up I store it in my mouth and power out come the flames Yoshi spitting fire up in here what does this one do they all do different things are we literate and just throw out the the shell of that one that's called whoa okay I can't eat you you are no no no come back come back I remember these guys these are absolute punks no come back I don't know what those oh jeez what am i doing oh you can come off that okay okay I'm out here I'm definitely out of here you've always got to check you have to check the pipes you're another thing about the easily listen guys are powerful noise Yoshi or what does this do it's a pink one hey down the pipe where does this go I remember this one so you need to like jump and fling yourself off of Yoshi there we go Oh give me the life give me the life boom but that's what I'm talking about so I think that's all it's up here BAM perfect it's weird how much you remember yeah guys this was whoa okay that was close well this was the first video game I ever ever played and I think this is the end oh jeez let's go we have to go through these gates at the end and we need to hit the talked about to get the most points I missed ya first bo game I ever played right here insane right I might come back to is later but let me press the reset button and it should yeah take you back to here that's cool let's play another game Street Fighter I'm terrible at his game I'm terrible at fighting games in general but I have to give this a go I have to turbo or normal I never actually knew what the difference was but let's go for starter Bo let's do this game start or vs. battle let's just do game start and see what happens so favorite characters and my first favorite is a Honda because that's this thousand fifth movement da and also oh geez how do you say that Dhalsim I don't know am I said the wrong Dhalsim had extendable arms which is crazy look you'll see in a second watch watch watch look his limbs are literally reaching through the air that's insane that's that's bad wait I'm playing this one I didn't know I was playing this one okay I'm in trouble I have no idea it's like it's dhalsim versus dhalsim help help so I can do long kicks and long whoa check that out that is insane I've got this guy's I've got this I don't actually know how to do special moves and stuff I got pretty far through this game without even knowing any combos I'm pretty sure you just head-butted me Oh check this out yes okay I've got this I've so got this whoa okay flying headbutt he's throwing me around I've got this come on don't lose now come on one more hit yes let's I right out I'm floating in a one no I did that how are you doing that no what my body I was gonna keep doing this and see what happens I can win this I can win this it's gonna keep on skidding along I think it's gonna work it's fatter you gonna work haha one more and he's gone feel my kick yes got him look at that dance he's like yes I will meditate and then destroy you oh look its face I properly messed him up no I don't want to do this no stop stop okay I'm gonna show you eat Honda now and you will see why you'll see what I mean by the thousand at fist so I think we go ahead again sim yep long arms okay so me on the left check this out I need to figure out three look look at his arms he's an absolute madman how big I am I am gonna squash this guy here we go here we go yes that's how you do it get squashed in the corner and then what what what yo'ii teleports he breathes fire is crazy Oh how does it a crazy move stop setting me on fire what are you doing stop stop what do you think I got duck underneath it you crazy man want a little bit left yes and kick for the win that's what I'm talking about I was gonna keep doing this and see what happens yeah breezy probably just gonna set me on fire I told you that's what I'm talking about see I'm still good at this game I chose terrible in this game I look 8,700 point that's what I'm talking about okay I'm whizzing through these but I'm going to play some Super Mario Kart because you guys need to see this because all of you are probably used to seven and eight which are out now but you need to see this look at the graphics so you could choose eight races this in the top right is Cooper we have obviously toad Bowser Peach Mario Luigi and Yoshi I'm gonna go Cooper he was my boy look at even these menus are super old-school we're going stark up let me just play a race or two and oh look it's like it's 2d / 3d I have no idea how to play this but I'm gonna give it a good go here we go here we go oh my goodness this is so weird so weird there's no boosting there's just weapons coins and oh wait yeah gimme this weapon and a whole lot of crazy this is actually really difficult how do I throw out a weapon is it this pow there we go okay this is a very weird course I'm trying to drift everywhere but I don't know really Bowser I'm trying to drift everywhere because that's what you do in a Mario Kart 8 but that's landed me in a big old 8th place but here I come watch out toad why is this so hard I'm really good at the other Mario Kart why am I being so bad at this one please okay I need some kind of killer weapon there's literally a really limited supply of weapons here the red shell is literally the best you don't get nothing like Bullet Bill or the blue shell in this game Connie's get a peach out of here come on yes yes for it No so what we love most about this game were those faces on the left well even are they this game's harder than I remember yo this is the chocolate level let's go I'm gonna need to get first on this whoa whoa whoa okay that's kiddie so I'm gonna guess this this is less whoa less of a drifting game and more of a make sure you don't scared games where is almost the opposite so as soon as I stop going into the accelerator I seem to be doing pretty good this I've learned it already I'm already in first place yeah watch out guys Cooper's coming through you collect more than ten coins and this is what I won thirteen and also this is only 100cc we go up to 200 in Mario Kart 8 you can get a hundred and fifty CC on this we need to unlock it first yo guys I am destroying this I'm almost lapping I'm almost slapping you are you you can't be Donkey Kong's surely you don't even look like him there we go we lap him I'm pretty sure that might be Donkey Kong but it doesn't have their names on it I'm back guys this is where I started gaining my love for Mario Kart oh man actually what is his name is this Donkey Kong jr. looks nothing like him it was that right next game okay this is gonna be a weird one so Kirby super star I'm not actually sure what it is but Kirby's Dream course sounds like the weirdest game when I explain it to you but it's actually incredible it's basically a Kirby golf but Kirby is the ball look 1994 and 95 that's 22 years ago guys that's nuts I have no idea what's going on but I'm gonna do a smiley face I'm done here yes yes I spent countless hours on this so check this out you start off as Kirby and what you need to do is you need to move your little icon around so that you can try and get all of these and you need to hit all the enemies and the final enemy will turn into a hole just like this oh yes you can curve it as well okay guys let's see if we can get this in a hole-in-one I don't think we're gonna be able to but I'm gonna try so we go into ball mode and then we set the spin and the power so check this out here we go I did not mean to do that I messed up I'm gonna do it properly this time let's go halfway I am know so I'm just gonna go full power and see what happens ready BAM yes yes and the final one will turn into a hole you can throb as well I guess to try and get yourself a little bit further and here we go let's see if we can get in this hole yeah buddy and if you were now have tomatoes at you and die and you have to start the whole thing again never did I think when I was playing this and almost fifteen years ago that I would eventually be playing it for you on YouTube that is there's absolutely insane and mind-blowing to think about right let's do this in one shall we here we go let's get a hole-in-one on camera just for old times sake let's do this here we go this is it this is it I'm gonna hit this one and it's gonna turn into a hole or I'm just gonna miss it and I'm gonna embarrass myself that's fine here we go get in the hole come on Kirby you've got this buddy you've got this yes oh and the power-ups is well I completely forgot you have to check this out so let's head over here and hopefully stop right in oh okay I turn into the hole whoops oh you can do aerial shots as well I completely forgot and you can spin it as well but I don't think I need to you're right Kirby let's do this here we go straight in straight you don't bats over no it seems harder than I remember them jeez hey okay so I don't think I can show you power-ups right now just because I think you have to be on the other worlds but this game is so so random but so so good oh no no no don't need that don't hit that Oh spawn perfect perfect a Korra member whether this guy is a powerup or not I guess we're just about to find out let's see what happens is yes is by quorum about to use it so we go like this go down and then use it there we go see this game is amazing and there's so many different ones you can turn into a stone you can turn into a spike you can turn into loads of different things it's so good so random cuz it's Kirby but so Goods easily one of my favorite kirby games oh I just got myself the umbrella check this out this might be a good hole-in-one come on buff me off the edge Punk left yet I'm gonna try this this is gonna be a really really hard shot but let's see if it works let's go into the air press the umbrella and then we just need to twizzle round into the hole come on buddy this could be incredible for YouTube for YouTube that's amazing okay this is cool as well I know I spent ages on this game but let's see if it works here we go we're gonna go full power we're gonna skim forwards all over the water this the hole-in-one this is the hole-in-one guys come on come on no I'm so mad so mad guys I think we can change this to ice I'm pretty sure we can change this to ice let's see what happens there we go powerful shot oh no it just disappears okay that that works too I'm gonna try and be smart let's see if this works here we go Kapow can I jump off the top could I do it and then use this to get into the hole oh my goodness yeah yeah that was so good oh my goodness that's the best shot I've ever done in this game oh man look at that I've finished the course oh he's off it is rocket you may be wondering down why are you losing your mind over this game it's so simple and looks pathetic but honestly I love these graphics which is one of the main reasons why I love Minecraft so much tis very similar but man the nostalgia it hits me right in the heart you need to understand how crazy this is that I used to play this when I was like 5 years old and now I'm playing it for you guys 20 years later insane oh this bit as well did I beat that guys score I did not I've got a bronze medal but check this out watch the dance routine are you ready I don't think you're ready here we go dude [Music] that's funny so then you go over to the next course and they gradually get harder and harder and harder I need to save this just in case I come back to it oh there's Mega Man on here - I didn't know that so guys I think I'm fortunate that's as much time as I'm gonna have because I could play any of these games forever I definitely know what I'm doing this evening man kirby's dream cause be all these games are absolute classics I love so much that I'm able to play and relive my first ever video games console through the magic of modern technology it's incredible and I hope you enjoyed this nostalgia trip with me even though you probably have never played any of these games before guys I hope you enjoyed this
