MILLIONAIRES ABANDONED $12,000,000 1960’s Mid Century Modern Mansion **POWER STILL ON**

hey what's up guys ethan again back at it today for you is pretty freaking awesome this is essentially a 1960s mid-century modern um mansion this house was built 1961 1962 era um it's abandoned it's going to be demolished the power is still on but i promise you this house is going to be gone um i'm going to say by the end of this year if i had to guess um and yeah so basically a little history on it only had one owner since its construction who passed away in 2020 it's been sitting abandoned since then and they're not gonna just come in tear it down build something modern and big and that'll be this place so that being said let's go take a look normally i cut this clip but you know what let's keep it rolling so i don't know why this sign is there but it is keep all doors locked so our first bathroom here you're just going to see right off the bat this very retro wallpaper and i may have said mid-century modern maybe it's more of just mid-century there are parts of it though that definitely have that modern aspect at least for the era which will you will see throughout here's the first bathroom pretty cool wallpaper all right an old light fixture there and your blue carpet down here carpet bathroom different for sure okay you're gonna notice too right away there's like a sparkle to the wallpaper i don't know if it's coming up on camera they're kind of right there that's definitely different and look at this grand staircase slash foyer area chandelier really nice very high ceilings in here this was absolutely a high-end place um for its time for 1961 1962 when this was built i got two different dates i yeah i was given two different dates my realtor gave me 1961 but i was able to find 62 so it doesn't really matter but i could have started it in 61 and completed it in 62. i don't know anyway here's your little eden kitchen area i guess big almost picture window it's almost floor to ceiling kitchen's in there and we'll get there but um very nice very bright yellow paint original switches still for sure garage south back patio front south back north i've never seen them labeled like that that's cool closet or actually that's pantry isn't it for sure you can see the marks where cans would have sat for sure then you come in here and this is obviously your main kitchen obviously refrigerator keys to afford something here's your toaster your sink cooking out the front window there very nice those floors look not new by any means but definitely not the original floors that were in here they almost look like they were just cheap and laid down definitely the original cabinetry though um for sure oh yeah stove and this is original for sure the fasco and that is the backsplash oh this would all probably have been that at one time this kitchen might have been originally blue for sure and but look at this guys this original um oven frigidaire product of general motors i didn't know that a big general motors guy and i did not know that custom imperial this looks probably like it was expensive when it was new and look at that clock that like mid-century modern style clock and it still works you can see it's moving one dial is missing or just taped over but the other ones are still there and this thing is in relatively good shape still that's awesome here's the radio that's newer sony and then you have this looks old the majestic chargrill i've been in a house built around this time i was about a year ago i'd say and it had something similar so that's cool come in here to the laundry room and look at the colors of the laundry room the doors here it's such like a 60s color palette even the coat hangers really that light is very 50s 60s looking as well there's like three entrances to the basement so we're not going to be using that one [Music] come in here actually let's go back here first there's another room so you come in here this looks like it might have been like the main dining room like the formal dining room i guess would be the proper wording um nice chandelier yeah you can see the marks on the carpet where there would have been a table very cool walk out to the deck it's massive there's two pools i'm guessing one's a kiddie pool one's like the main pool again i don't maybe this was the dining room because it's right off the kitchen but what would this be then family sitting room maybe the size of that chandelier very retro looking you can see where paintings hung for a very long time is that flocked oh it is wicked look at this big nothing special going on in here but it's just massive there's some paint peel and decay starting up there you'll notice that throughout the house there's different spots huge house man this was like i guess you're gonna probably i'm gonna say it a lot but this is just a very just top of the line place for its time and you know high end for those deck that standard of uh the air it was built that's a cool view spiral staircase i call that a spiral it's not just winding that's pretty spirally it's a long hallway but let's go down it so we'll start on the right i think or maybe we'll do laugh now let's go here i don't really it doesn't matter i guess but so you're gonna see a lot of interesting wallpapers throughout this place some old postcards looks like that looks like disney yeah it is fascinating wallpaper even on the ceiling it's all peeling and stuff because it's sat for a couple years but bathroom the jack and jill connects to the other bedroom that's cool there's like shutters that go over the window and it's a mirror what's up guys blue floor love it interesting curtain too 16-minute time switch huh oh look at this wallpaper it's all the uh the signs let's see do i see mine there it is taurus you guys see yours here what do we got ares gemini pisces cancer virgo scorpio leo did i say that already should be how many should there be i was gonna say 12 but there's not one a month is there i don't think so oh yeah there you go oh that's a led zeppelin uh album heck yeah it is let's take this off the wall for a sec because the front of this is this is actually one of my favorite albums oh like oh i don't want to break the tack i don't want to damage anything come on come out anyways yeah it's that one that album stairway to heavens on it one of my favorite songs i feel bad now that i broke the tack because you guys know i don't like to change stuff so i normally wouldn't do that so i apologize but i just had to see it and next you know what it looks more of a cool abandoned look now that's slanted it looks you know i don't know i feel like i'm gonna end up fixing that before i leave that bugs me now anyway closet this hallway creeps me out i don't usually get weirded out by stuff especially this stuff but just i don't know this hallway is weird look at this spiral staircase guys isn't that nice we'll head down to the basement we'll take that staircase but first let's check out here we got oh this is definitely the master it's huge so you have a closet i love these like cork board like doors that's really cool so there's one closet but anyway here's a bathroom that is very retro with the foil wallpaper here's the what is up you guys in the mirror we have two very gross yet old sinks again you gotta remember this is sat for a couple years so the vines growing in there shower or sorry todd brother well yeah it actually isn't a shower there's no shower head it's just the bathtub there's the shower yeah cool stuff oh that's a walk-in closet if i've ever seen one it's huge holy and here's the main part of the bedroom obviously another closet jeez hey that's cool everything's like labeled i guess yeah there's definitely a tv here all the cords are still hanging whoever lived here definitely got their enjoyment out of this place it was one family to my understanding it's just good to see it was a well-loved home look at this that deck has seen better days so is that up there right oh man nothing wrong with that nothing what's wrong with showing a little age here the dates on this window 19 1962. okay so maybe it was built in 62. 61 was when it was i don't know why i would have got 61. so it's about 60 years old holy they don't want that coming down which i guess is good big picture window again got some cassettes big bedroom closets track lighting not my favorite but not bad not a whole lot going on in here but there is a lot going on in here this bathroom is incredible it's pink okay this is original to the house absolutely oh my gosh what's up guys this is wicked well the uh the handicap uh tub or i guess you'd open that and then just sit in it and obviously meet captain audience over here toilets back there you don't need to look at that because whenever i look at toilets they're gross for whatever reason that's so cool new tone is that a heat lamp i think like an old like 60s heat lamp i think even the light switch is pink here's another bedroom how many bedrooms are we at geez one two three four this is five i think wallpaper what does that say 1962 again so there you go 1962 this wallpaper is from i know i wasn't alive to live it but can you believe 1962 was 60 years ago like i obviously i wasn't i'm not you know old enough to remember back then obviously but the fact that you know ooh that's a creepy old photo hmm the fact that it was that long ago though like crazy okay we've seen uh up here let's go to the basement we'll do the top floor last because i think this is more exciting down here and i want you guys to see this spiral staircase okay so here we go we're in the one of the few living rooms in this house um so iron spiral the light is on it's like a sunken room i guess technically this would be this steps down it's down lower it's technically a sunken room i think fireplace and it's beautifully done look at you got the lion and you've got it's just beautiful yeah this guy here this little tiki guy here that's cool that's really cool oh look at this old radio or is it a radio or an intercom maybe wow do not open these doors private shelves of made jerry and pat sheridan do not remove anything oh it's like artifacts and stuff i'm not removing nothing so i don't got to worry about that it's in there oh like a roots sweater walk out to the backyard there's like a little courtyard area that's nice it's actually really nice wow basement's off to a good start i'd say okay what's in here whoa like a wet bar what's in there oh is that a is that a fridge oh it's a mini fridge look at that it's teal here i'm gonna have to pull the light out for that that's really cool look at that there's still ice in it geez so it's on see like i really hope they don't leave that when the house gets knocked down because that like there are people that collect mid-century modern stuff that would love to have that i just noticed the pattern on the up here on the countertop is the same as the floor but like obviously scaled down that's it interesting to say the least that's lighting up there i think that's interesting and then this looks very i want to say oriental is that japanese i think correct me if i'm wrong but i think it's japanese interesting all right let's go through these doors here whoa this place is huge um this doesn't look scary at all interesting car but oh does the light work in here to some extent it's like this reminds me of carpet you'd see it like a hotel or something closet washroom and what looks like a spare bedroom oh wait oh look at the old stove this was probably upstairs at one point remember where there was a a more modern one replaced in the main kitchen i bet you that was there because that's the same size that's so cool built-in wooden bookshelves very cool oh gosh this might work okay good i don't use my flashlight um old newspaper from january 26 1997 so just about 25 years in a month some here well maybe we will need my light so that's the back of the stairs i can tell cause it's curved oh it just ends well okay look at this floor scene every day what is this if anyone knows what that is let me know that's really interesting looking the wheels rooms over there look cool uh where the those are next so let's go oh man this is awesome this wallpaper is incredible sauna door shower so it's just a sauna you've seen a sauna before we don't need to go back there there's a mirror what's up guys oh my gosh the curtains for the change room oh so change room to go to the pool you can shower off after you get in and out of the pool there's a sauna if you want change to you know get ready to go out to the pool look at this canada chrome corporation not sure what that is obviously they specialize in chrome i'm assuming bathroom look at this wallpaper what's up you guys toilet yep oh look at the ceiling no it's a shame to see a rot away it's over here okay so there's the staircase look up oh that's cool oh it's wicked this is cool little calendar what's in here whoa what the heck look at this this is so retro oh man oh it's even what there's a okay okay let's calm down there's a little wet bar in here but look if you close these that like design is on them what's in this one a drawer with an oh my gosh an old fridge morphe richards wow seen better days but nonetheless very cool i want to close these so i can uh focus on what this design looks like from oh that's wicked okay and it's even up there whole brick wall fireplace with this like seat belt is a seat built in yeah it is that's wicked this is a it's a chair dare i said it huh i don't want to break it i'm sitting in it oh my gosh guys i'm sick this is wicked i'm gonna need a picture in that before i get out of here oh my i've completely ignored the fact that this whole area is red carpet that goes up the walls but look at these multi-colored little kids this is your kid's playroom maybe you have your toys in there toys in here everywhere like that's probably what this was picture window and this is all it's just pool stuff okay we don't need to go in there that's spooky room that should be closed that's a speaker built in up at the top there i just noticed which makes me think there was or something maybe a record player or something a sound system built into this place somewhere we miss this room oh it's just the laundry room oh but we're looking because i get this wallpaper phone out oh yeah that's 60s i've seen these everywhere the little uh intercoms storage laundry and that's storage oh that's the staircase in the kitchen cool cool cool cool well this has been incredible so far this is quite literally untouched there's not much that's been changed here i think it's fair to say that it's an untouched 60s house that hasn't been molested by a millennial with a can of white paint incredible so i guess we should go check out the top floor okay we go look at this view first oh yeah beauty doesn't look like there's too much up here whoa that's foil wallpaper it's trippy because it's on the ceiling too that is insane massive backyard they're going to rebuild on unfortunately there's homes like this i say it in a video where i do a house like this i know i say it a lot i wish more people appreciated stuff like this then again for the price point what's up guys for the price point no one's gonna come pay 12 million dollars for a 60 year old home that's let's be honest it needs fit it needs work you know you couldn't just move into it like this well i mean i guess you could but i wouldn't recommend it toilet's gross so if you've seen that i'm sorry guys what's that secunda eras gallery lit ltd 20 oh new york that's retro 80s looking pink colors 90s paint colors so that's cool there's a fishbowl and a little bedroom hey i've seen this picture before national geographic june of 1985. i've seen this before that picture of her junior's january 86 and then this last room oh just like a furnace and stuff okay cool what's this saskatchewan love those saskatchewan parks so crawl space crawl space furnace stuff okay i love these lights that's such a 60s thing speaker for the intercom okay guys that's it that is all she wrote for this one so i'm gonna come get some light on sorry about that guys it ended on me um okay can you see are we good okay all right guys that's gonna do it for this one this was really really cool um i know you guys know that i love these untouched original places i know you guys love places like this and i really really hope this is one that you were able to enjoy because i know i did so um let
