[Music] thank you everybody thank you Keith and Peggy for doing a great job they're good friends of ours at the shrine of divine mercy so thank you again for being here everybody is we're appreciative of Keith and Peggy they have always stated that we want to be able to spread the message in devotion of divine mercy in the right way and they do that through the shrine of divine mercy which we are the official caretakers of this message and devotion given by the Holy See so it's an honor to be up here from Massachusetts I'm originally from Michigan but it's nice to be here in Canada because I'm a huge hockey fan and I grew up I grew up watching the Detroit Red Wings and the Maple Leafs took our mic Badcock so we were not doing as well recently but either's Ottawa so both the Red Wings and the Senators are not doing as good as we hope but god bless you all for being here now today is a really special day you know we're talking about the two spiritual weapons of our times and this is why I am a marian of the Immaculate Conception everybody talks about every essence of devotions and so many things out there in the church and they're all beautiful but they all boil down to two things Mary and divine mercy we are the Marian's of the Immaculate Conception we are the first men's community ever in the world to bear the title Immaculate Conception hundreds of years before the dogma was ever given but people say why are you Divine Mercy you're all about Mary why the Mary's of the Immaculate Conception the answer is God's greatest act of mercy ever bestowed on a creature is the Immaculate Conception so today does anybody know what feast is today Gertrude of Scotland that's true but what is today's feast does anybody know today is Mary the mother of mercy today is if you've ever seen the picture of Mary of the dong gate Vilnius this is the very place where the image of divine mercy was ever displayed 1935 Jesus gave this image to Saint Faustina to have the pattern painted now did they show the movie Keith up here where to Keith go where to keep where did I lose Keith did they show the movie love and mercy up in Canada Oh No in the United States a couple weeks ago the movie love and mercy was given and the Hollywood did not want to show it we were able the Marion's co-produced it we were able to finally convince Hollywood to give us all they would give us was one day one day October 28th not only did that one day that movie finished only behind the Joker of all the movies shown all the secular movies Maleficent and all these other movies Midway the number 2 movie in the United States was love and mercy they had and that one day a hundred and fifty thousand people the United States went to see it now I'm not saying just that because I'm in it I only have a 10-second cameo but the the essence of the movie get to the United States if you are going to it's going to be shown on December second it did so well they're going to show it again on December the second and again on December the 10th or the twelfth I can't remember us a tenth of the twelve I think it might be December 12th but I know for sure December 2nd you can go to love and mercy movie calm and you can see where it is being shown I know for sure it's the United States it was shown in Poland and I hope it'll make its way up here to Canada if you can't get to the movie theater you can order it from us Marion father's on TV d starting in February but this movie shocked Hollywood how could you have this movie about Jesus and Saint Faustina finish ahead of every Hollywood blockbuster except the Joker so we give thanks to God that people are supporting this message of divine mercy and Mary the mother of Mercy is a very important feast this is come from Vilnius as I said it's Mary the dong gate this is we're the first portrayal or first showing of the image of divine mercy was given in 1935 and so I do an entire talk on divine mercy the image the feast and that's what I gave when I was here a couple years ago and so I feel still think that talk is on line somewhere isn't it Keith okay you have the DVDs downstairs so I would love you if you would like to get a little bit more knowledge of the feasts what do you got to do to get the graces what was Jesus's promise to st. Faustina what two things do you have to do as Catholics that you should be doing anyway to receive that extraordinary promise that Jesus offers on that special day what special day the one day of the year that Jesus said which completes the octave don't miss this grace what are those two things that you should be doing what is that promise Jesus made you got to get the DVD to be able to say today we're gonna be talking three talks and I hope you can stay with us because the first talk is on Mary the Mother of mercy the gift of God's mercy this will be the first talk then we're gonna break for lunch you can regroup and I tell you I'm surprised but I'm elated that the next two talks are something that I just started doing earlier this year I've been speaking with the Marian's for eight years and I've never had the response that we have been getting from the second two talks that I'll be doing today and it what it is it I didn't think there would be any interest in it but it's blown me away it's the most requested talk we now get when I do a walkthrough the mass we're going to walk we're gonna set up the altar and we're gonna walk through the mass every single step every essence every prayer and it's going to take part one we're gonna go for the first half of the mass second talk will be where the third talk of the day will be the second half of the mass and there are things that I promise you that you probably have never learned I didn't even learn these things to some of them after I was ordained okay and so these are some of the most beautiful things that the meaning of our mass and what does the meaning if you have ever been bored in the mass now I know none of you here right none of you here have if you know somebody say I'm here for my friend because they've been bored in the mass because I promise you if you hear really what goes on in the mass you'll never look at the mass the same way again it is so much going on that it is unbelievable now so those are my three talks a so we're going to start with our Blessed Mother Mary and this is such a gift because Mary is a gift right now it's important because Mary's the mother of Jesus but she's also the mother of the church why because the church is the body of Christ so Mary's the mother of Jesus Jesus's body as the church and therefore she's the mother of the church now who makes up the church us so in essence she's also our mother because we make up the church she was given to us by John on the curb by Jesus on the cross given to John but why is this important this isn't critically important because John represented us right now some people will argue that we'll when he gave her to John it's because John was the youngest he was immature he needed a mother he needed somebody to cook his meals he needed somebody to do his laundry right how do we know how do we know that's not the right answer how do you know that John didn't need a mother to cook and clean for him that he was given Mary as a spiritual mother not a natural mother how do we know this did Jesus say so at the cross he gave John Mary but how do we know he gave her as a spiritual mother and not just the natural mother how do we know that anybody because John's natural mother was right there next to him at the foot of the cross we know this from Matthew John's mother was there at the foot of the cross Jesus wouldn't have said I'm giving you your mother if he meant a natural mother to cook and clean because his natural mother was right there so we're gonna talk about this and many other things okay now is it true that there is salvation outside the Catholic Church no [Laughter] the church has always taught there is no salvation outside the Catholic Church this has always been taught now does that mean necessarily the four brick walls of the Catholic Church and that you must be a registered parishioner no that's not what they mean that's not what they mean what they mean that in other words can a non-catholic be saved yes a non-catholic can be saved but you have to look at the grace that God gives for instance can a pigmy in the rain forest get to heaven yes but he will be judged entirely different than we are he will be judged entirely different you are judged by the grace that God has given you to get to heaven a pigmy in the rain forest hasn't seen scriptures necessarily hasn't been introduced to the mass necessarily and part of that's probably our fault right and so so God in lumen gentium 13 14 15 16 talks about Vatican 2 talks about who can be saved right they talk about Catholics who can be saved they talk about non Catholic Christians and non-christians yes they can all be saved but here's the point they will be judged differently than us too who much is given much as expected now as Catholics we've been given the whole gamut there are 40,000 Christian denominations now who has can they all have the same truth no or they be the same religion you can't have 40,000 different truths so why you have partial of the truth you know the Protestants have scripture you know baptism why you have partial truth who has the fullness of the truth is the Catholic Church now that's a beautiful thing but to whom much is given much is expected and one of the gifts that we were given and it is only really truly Catholic and not because we're keeping her to ourselves it's because she's really rejected in her role by most other non Catholics is our mother this is one of the biggest gifts we've been given in next to the sacraments and the mass it is the biggest gift we've been given and God bless all of you and your bishops I love Bishop Pendergrass and and you guys have wonderful bishops here the axillary bishops were part of of a real need right now in the world to spread Mary and the sacraments Mary and divine mercy and this is what we're going to be talking about today okay so to be a full member of the church which is our way to salvation that's your way to salvation you're born baptized Catholic your way to salvation is this mass is the sacraments it's confession it's Holy Communion and it's this our mother Mary you want to get to heaven you got to use the tools God gives you and as Catholics he gave you the whole smorgasbord and we have to realize that so in order to be a full member of this church we need the church's mother and this is who Mary is Jesus gave us the church and the mother of the church to get us to heaven basically our faith teaches to Jesus through Mary not to Mayer without Jesus as were accused its to Jesus through Mary and so this is really important now what is this okay it is clear that Jesus was given an earthly mother and God honored her if God honors her so should we he honored her above all creatures so should we now if you could make your own mother wouldn't you make her perfect you know a seventh grader my catechism class said no because then she'd make me do my homework no we we would make our mother perfect one of the worst almost awful days of my life when I was seven and discovered my mom wasn't perfect oh you know it's just like every kid wants their mom to be perfect well we have our perfect mother she's right here you know we don't worship Mary despite what our Catholic brothers my goodness this is so terrible I have a college friend who texted me when he found out I was a priest after he got over his shock he said I hope you understand but I'm not Catholic because III left my Catholic faith years ago because I just can't worship Mary I'm like gee that's too bad neither can i we don't worship Mary Mary is without a doubt the guy Jesus is the goal who climbs Mount Everest without a guide nobody the goal is to get to the top the guide helps you get there Jesus is the goal Mary is the guide this is what's going on in Genesis who crushes the head of the serpent well it depends on what translation if you read the translation some say he if you read others like the douay-rheims it says she some translations say she will step on the Serpent's head it makes sense for this to be Mary stepping on Satan's head why well I have a question for you I asked my seventh grade catechism class this who does Satan fear more God or Mary well you're gonna know that because that's a topic of my talk right but why why does God or what is Satan fear Mary more than God hmm this is an interesting conversation let me give you a quick story this is I don't know if they have much high school wrestling in the in Canada but in the United States it's very big now I want to tell you a quick story that I think explains why Satan fears Mary more than God and I explain this to my kids when I teach them because they can relate to sports and I tell my say guys I started wrestling in third grade down in Michigan as you could tell I'm not a basketball player I'm a wrestler and so starting wrestling in third grade I I went through and I got to be pretty good by it got into high school my sophomore year I was undefeated and I got into my junior year and I thought I was pretty good and my first year our first tournament of my junior year I went to a tournament and drew a guy by the name of Dave Dameron and Dave Dameron was the number one ranked wrestler in the United States of America and I drew him this was my task well I drew him and I wrestled him and guess what happened he stomped me okay and it really wasn't that bad he beat me but he didn't pin me and all that well anyway my high school coach was a tough guy and my dad is even tougher he's a Vietnam Marine flew helicopters out of Danang Crewcuts cigar-smoking you didn't I tell you what you did in our house you didn't talk back to your parents if I were to talk back to my mom the way I see some kids today I'd have a permanent handprint right here on my head and so my dad does a tough-guy well anyway after I lost to Dave Damron both Mike wrestling coach and my father said good job they never said that before about a loss and I said huh they like you hung in there the number one wrestler in the United States of America he's Dave Damron he's the best to even to even consider he's the best in other words it wasn't ashamed to be whooped up on by the best right now I want to back up to when I was in fourth grade no offense ladies but in fourth grade I was in freestyle AAU wrestling and in the only time of my life I had to wrestle a girl no offense ladies but in this is young wrestling group they would call your name how that worked is you had a whip by weight class I was all a 65 pounds and they would call you by weight class and you'd stand in a big classroom and they'd announce your name and the name of the opponent you're gonna wrestle and then they would call you together they would hand one of you the bout card and you would wait like little Noah's Ark animals to buy to waiting to would get an open mat where you would go and you'd wrestle your opponent well the thing was you would be standing there waiting right next to the person you're going to be wrestling well at the same time your coaches are on each side of you so I had my dad who was my coach at the time on my side and her coaches on her side and this young lady god bless her starts mouthing off and she says well I won the dexstar tournament and I won the durian tournament and I have 12 medals this year and I've won 26 straight matches and I'm ranked in this class and I'm ranked this net and I'm just sitting there I'm in fourth grade and I'm just sitting there not saying anything and my dad mr. politically correct he's standing there listening to this and he looks at this little girl and he says well you're not gonna win this one I was scared to death if I lose this match my dad is gonna disown me my friends will laugh me off the playground I will be a laughingstock why did I think this way my pride I had the pride of a little boy I gotta win this I'm a boy she's a girl I could halfway understand getting whooped up on by Dave damn Ron he was Dave damn Iran but to lose to a little girl is unheard of this is why Satan fears Mary more than God to lose to God he can halfway understand to lose to a little 15 year old Jewish girl is beyond his comprehension why because his pride so when when Satan was was created by God as one of the Angels he actually was there as one of the highest angels right he was the highest angel the angel of light Lucifer right everything was going fine until when when God announced his plan that he was going to become a man why was that a problem for Satan why was that a problem okay who's created higher man or the angel who's created higher who's created higher I heard a split decision the angels are created higher than man by nature they have a superior intellect they are not constrained by space and time they do not get sick and suffered by Nature they're created higher than us right but by grace man has been elevated above the angel by the Incarnation by the Immaculate Conception when God announced his plan Satan's appear as the angel and that was the only the highest are not only is he an angel he's the highest of the angels and then all the sudden God comes in and says here's my plan I'm gonna become one of these little ones and you gotta worship me Satan says no way uh-uh you're below me a man is a crit crawler a slithery stinky thing and I'm not going to be one of him our excuse me I'm not going to worship one of them because God is going to become one of them and he said no way now this is just a little small tea tradition please do not report me to the bishop but by tradition with a small tea this is a little interesting fact first of all how many people does the book excuse me angels does the book of Revelation say fell from the sky that day one third why not a fourth why not two thirds why not a fifth why was it a third anybody ah I heard that by little tea tradition a third of the angels were dedicated to adoring the father a third were dedicated to during the Sun and a third were dedicated to adoring the holy spirit guess what third fell the son the third that were dedicated to adoring the Sun because they were not going to worship this lowly man and so when God gave this plan they said no way they rebelled and so I'd go back to Satan and I say this is why he fell his pride he could understand when the things were fine and God was God and he was the highest angel but when it was announced that he was going to become one of them and then worse to Satan that she was going to be above him a woman not an angel but a woman that he was going to have to honor he said forget it and so this is pride as I said Satan fears God more or Mary more than God because he could halfway understand getting whooped up on by God he cannot understand losing to a fifteen year old Jewish girl this is why we can use her to help us this is so critically important you know people will say father the hill hurry you know this you crazy Catholics you know I was um I was in North Carolina before I became a Marion father and I went back then I used to go to a barber now I cut my own hair because I want to save the 15 bucks a month so I learned to cut my own hair we're only given 50 dollars a month for a personal expenses now again you know we don't have to pay for our food and clothes and stuff like that so but we get $50 a month personal expenses so I learned to cut my own hair to be able to save that 15 bucks a month but before that I went to this barber and this barber in North Carolina named Billy was a Protestant and he couldn't believe that I was actually going to become a Catholic priest so I went to him the very last time in North Carolina and I sat down next to him in the barber's chair and there is seven chairs in the barbershop all next to each other and Billy says to me you start to cut my hair and he says so are you really gonna do this are you really gonna become a Catholic priest and I said well God willing he says well does your family know I said yeah I just told them he said what happened I said well my mom cried for three days my dad said you'll never make it as a priest and my 82 year old aunt said I thought you liked girls I was engaged to be married why would she ask that question so anyway he couldn't believe I was going to go through this to become a Catholic priest I said absolutely it just it's a call that when you have it internally there's no higher calling and I said God willing yes and there's this old grizzly guy sit and the chair next his burly guy big old gray beard he looks over and he says huh gonna spend your entire life in some monastery praying a bunch of Hail Marys I looked and I said hello and he says so really you're just gonna spend your whole life pretty bunch of Hail Marys and I said sir I said you must be Bible love and evangelical Christian because we were North Carolina and so he says you betcha and he says I I stick with the Bible I said so do i and I said in fact can you tell me can you tell me what the Gospel of Luke says because in the Gospel of Luke what chapter one specifically 26 to 56 I said sir can you tell me what was with that possible or excuse me with that yeah what that gospel says since about the birth of Jesus I said yeah it is but I says what's specifically in there I'll give you an example sir what did Elizabeth or what happened excuse me that me John the Baptist leap in the womb said presence of Jesus and I said yes it was but what specifically does it say in Scripture cause John to leap in the war it said the presence of Jesus I said but I think there's something in there and then I look up and building as a Bible on his shelf and I said Billy hand me that Bible and by now everybody in the barbershops listening and as I'm flipping as I'm flipping through it I'm like oh lord please let this not be some Protestant version that took it out so I'm flipping through it and there it is what caused John to leap in the womb Mary's voice the voice of Mary so I started going through and I said sir do you realize look at the Hail Mary prayer hail full of grace the Lord is with you who says at the angel right so the hail Mary full of grace the Lord is with you because right from the from the angel hail full of grace the Lord is with you then Elizabeth says cause our blessing why because saying holy or we say holy Mary why do we say holy because Elizabeth called her blessing blessed are you among women and blessed is the fruit of your womb this is right in Scripture blessed is the fruit of your womb so Jesus excuse me holy Mother of God how do we say mother of God we'll get to that in a minute but Mary the mother of God because she even says how is it that the mother of my lord should come to me this is all scriptural the Hail Mary is scriptural and so we go on and we say even David what did David say in 2nd Samuel how is it that the arc of my lord should come to me who is Mary the new arc this is fascinating because Elizabeth refers to Mary as the new Ark of the Covenant Mary then says that all generations will call her blessed and I pointed it out to this guy in the barber chair I said sir in Scripture Mary says all generations will call her blessed why can't you you have to do this this is what the Davidic Kingdom Christ weird what mine does Jesus come from Judah right the line of David right and in the Judah near the Davidic Kingdom who was the queen was it the first wife was that the prettiest wife was that the smartest wife was that the oldest wife who wasn't the mother this is from first Kings in in Proverbs it tells us the mother was the counselor to the king that's also in chronic second Chronicles now David had the old dark house the Ark of the Covenant or house the Ten Commandments right and it says he took it up into the hillside for how long three months how long did Mary go up into the hillside three months now do you know and one of my favorite guys the only one I do a pilgrimage with Steven Rae if you know who Steven Rae is good personal friend of mine Steven Rae took us to the Holy Land I was the chaplain he took us up to the hillside of Judea and he went through all the historical facts do you know that the very place Mary visited Elizabeth is the exact same place that David brought the Ark of the Covenant and not only that Scott Hahn tells us that the word lept like John the Baptist sleeping in the womb is the same word for and danced danced so in it John left in the womb what does it say David did before the Ark of the Covenant he danced John the Baptist left which means dance David danced before the Ark of the Covenant this is the connection this is amazing now let's get into the deeper theology this could be the only real theology I give you but I think it's this important first can anybody tell me the for Marian dogless shout them out sisters you're exempt shout them out the Immaculate Conception the Assumption not the coronation Mary the mother of God one more perpetual virginity okay now do you necessarily have to believe these things in order and to be a full Catholic and get to heaven yes yes let's start with these the for Marian dogmas this one what is this Mary the mother of God we saw this image at the Marian father's one of my favorite images Mary the mother of God do you know all Protestant fathers accepted this swingley Calvin Martin Luther they all accepted Mary as the mother of God what happened well let's look at this now I have a question for you was Jesus cry and I think I may have said this three years ago that I was here but not you're getting it again was Jesus Christ a human person no now before you run back to the bishop and report me hear me out we have one God or three gods one God how many persons three persons the father is how many persons the son is how many persons say that again the son is how many persons the Sun is how many persons if he's two then you have four people in the Trinity you have the father you have two sons and you have the Holy Spirit hear me out now hear me out from the beginning of all eternity we have three divine persons Father the Son and the Holy Spirit we have three divine persons that person who was divine always had a divine nature right you are a human person you have a human nature God the Father his human person God the Son is a human person he has a human nature from all eternity when he became incarnate that one divine person who already had a divine nature assumed a human nature so he's fully God in His divine nature fully man in his human nature and that is the hypostatic union the divine person as the son who always had a divine nature for all eternity assumed a human nature at the Incarnation so I kind of tricked you is he fully human yes is he fully God yes in his nature don't believe me look at the catechism how does the catechism to find Jesus Christ one person two natures one person two natures this is the Catechism definition of Jesus Christ one person two natures that nature is two he always had the divine nature and when he was born of Mary what did he assume human nature so he's fully God fully human in his nature Jesus Christ is one person two natures the nature is human the nature is divine he had the divine nature at the incarnation he assumed the human nature but he's one person and that one person is divine now when you give birth when a mother gives birth do you give birth to a nature or a person no you give birth to a nature just kidding just kidding seeing if you're paying attention yes you give birth to a person not a nature so when Mary gave birth to the person that person is divine it did not mean she created him she gave him his human nature Mary gave Christ as human nature but the person Jesus Christ is divine he's one divine person two natures one nature is divine one nature is human he's fully God he's fully man in his nature but what happened the second person of the Trinity became incarnate that second person of the Trinity is divine so when Mary gave birth to a person that person is divine and we then can call Mary the mother of God this is not me talking this is the Council of Ephesus okay no Catholics know this we're not singing Mary created God no she gave him his human nature and we'll get to that in a minute but does this make sense now to tell you Pius the ninth said to call Jesus Christ a human person is an historian heresy because he's not two persons he has two natures he's one person two natures as the Catechism definition that person has divine so when we say Mary's the mother of God we have all the proof in the world she gives birth to a person not a nature and that person is divine therefore we can call Mary the mother of God again don't believe me read the Council of Ephesus this is how we define this whole concept Jesus is in always human he's calling to tell you that he's calling to tell you that he's saying father Chris you forgot to add something to that and is the fact that Mary gave birth to it will actually look about the price tonight to deny Mary as the mother of God is to deny the Incarnation either Jesus is not God or Jesus is two persons one human and one divine he is one person that person is divine with two natures human nature and a divine nature that's the hypostatic Union does that I know that's deep theology but that is so powerful to show you why you should not fear calling Mary the mother of God very important all right let's go on what do you think this is anybody know what this is this is the offering of Mary by tradition sense was offered in the temple right in in in in the life of consecration Alliance of virginity it's it's smalti' tradition is accepted the Mary was already offered in the life of virginity all right now this also was accepted by the fathers of the Protestant Reformation swingley said quote I firmly believe she remained a virgin pure and intact in childbirth and also after childbirth for all eternity so when Catelyn Protestants attacked us for Mary being a perpetual virgin you can say well gee your own Protestant fathers agreed with this so why don't you this is fact the word adele fose in greek what were that what language with the Scriptures written in Greek and the word Adele fose is the same as the Hebrew word ah for a brother or a sister the point is this the word of Delphis or odd can mean either brother or cousin or near relative they didn't have a distinguishing word for a biological brother versus like a close relative this is very important okay now brothers can mean relatives in the use of that word Jesus would not have given married to John on the cross if he had a biological brother this would not have been in line with judea law he would not have given Mary to John on the car we know John was not his brother but he would not have given Mary to John on the cross if he did have a brother he would not have done this now what about lot y'all remember the Old Testament who was lot in relation to Abraham who was lot his nephew right if you're reading Genesis 1127 but if you're leaving Genesis 14 14 who does it's a lot was in relation to Abraham his brother now how can you be both your brother and your nephew you know I was giving a talk sometimes you forget where you're at and I was giving a talk to the men's conference in Nashville Tennessee and that's the home of country music right so I'm giving this talk and I said you know what guys how could you be both your brother and your cousin or your your nephew and I said I'm sure there's some country song that could explain that and then I went oh no I'm in Nashville they all laugh but the point is is this is the use of the word so brothers could mean when it says this doesn't the gospel see Jesus had brothers yes and and don't want to be careful of those History Channel shows where I saw that one guy from Bob Jones University and he gets down there he says huh he says we know Jesus had real brothers and sisters says so in the Bible and then they go on to the next topic if you're a wheat Catholic in your faith and you hear that you're gonna fall for that and you're gonna think your religion is not scriptural the point is how is the word used we say it right here in fact in the Bible it says the Brothers of Jesus James and Joseph the sons of Mary man that sounds pretty incriminating doesn't it that sounds like we are blown out of the water with this whole thing about marry me and a perpetual virgin because it says the Brothers of Jesus James and Joseph the sons of Mary you have a Protestant shove that in your face you're not going to know how to answer it how do you answer it you got to tell him to keep reading because Mary will later be identified as the wife of Clopas it's a different Mary so the Brothers of Jesus were again some kind of close relatives or maybe even stepbrothers it's not against church teaching that Joseph could have been widowed these are all things that people don't get especially with the perpetual virginity all right let's go on what is this the Assumption of Mary one of the Marian dogmas now is the assumption of Mary in the Bible well maybe revelation eleven nine the Ark is now in heaven followed by a vision of a woman clothed with the Sun who gives birth to a male child or rules over all nations this woman has to be Mary but if you don't believe that go to this one you see these up here what are these called relics right relics have been a tradition of our church since the very earliest centuries so the very earliest centuries relics have been a part of our faith right now how many towns Ephesus Nazareth Bethlehem Jerusalem how many have ever claimed to have the relics of Mary 0 if the relics of Mary really existed you don't think these towns would have grabbed him and would have said come to Nazareth it would have been the first tourist trap you would have been absolutely crazy in first century if you would have had the actual bones of Mary because by the time Mary passed away was already tradition in the church ok so this is very good so the question is if everybody heard that about st. Joseph I don't know and the bishop could probably refine this I don't know that the church has ever made a statement on Joseph yeah am I correct Misha pon that yeah I don't think the true that's awesome you got to love that because that's what were supposed to say I really don't know if the church has ever made a statement on by the way father Don Callaway is coming out with a new book January first consecration to st. Joseph alright consecration make sure you guys look for that but I'll get back to you on that because I don't think the church has ever made a definitive statement on that so but the point is this the church has made a statement on the Assumption of Mary now if this is not true Mary's relics would have been left behind and these cities would have definitely sold or not sold but used it to get people to come as tourists to their towns but no town has ever claimed the relics of Mary none of them and did Mary die what does the Catholic teaching do Mary died or did she not not the church's said in the Catechism when her earthly time was over the East believes in the Dormition it does not matter to us the fact is that she was assumed into heaven people like father Don claims she would not have died others some church theologians claim that she would have died but it doesn't matter the fact is she assumed all right last one what is this the Immaculate Conception believe it or not this is going to shock you shock you some of the Protestant fathers even accepted this in some sense they don't believe she didn't sin when she was alive but some of the Protestant fathers some even accepted this this is crazy and the way that the Protestants have thrown Mary into the gutter okay Martin Luther didn't understand the role of Mary now who did I tell you earlier gave Jesus's human nature okay so if Mary gave Jesus's human nature do you think Jesus had a broken human nature could he have accepted a broken human nature no so if Jesus could not have accepted a broken human nature and Mary was the one to give it to him if Mary had a broken human nature Mary would have happened to give Jesus a human broken human nature the fact that Jesus could not accept the broken human nature and the fact that he got his human nature from Mary has to mean that that human nature was unbroken what breaks her human nature what kind of sin the original sin we have a broken human nature because of original sin now did Joseph smalti' tradition and John the Baptist ever sin under 'the know tradition as they did not but were they conceived with sin yes they say John the Baptist was sanctified in the womb when he danced before Mary so the tradition is that neither John the Baptist nor Joseph committed an actual sin but they were conceived with sin okay so Mary who had no could not have a broken human nature had to be conceived without sin otherwise she would have passed on a broken human nature to Jesus and we know that can't be she had to be without a broken human nature so without that we can't concept of how she could have given Jesus as human nature God can't coexist with any sin do you know Jesus shared the very DNA with Mary his very DNA is she'd or shared with Mary if Mary would have had any sin that would have means Satan had even this much control over her if Mary had even the slightest sin it would mean Satan had even the slightest control over Mary if she had Satan had any control over Mary that would have meant he had some indirect control over Christ and that's impossible this is very important Mary people will a Protestant brothers will say well then you people are saying Mary didn't need a Savior because if she was without sin she didn't need a Savior how do you answer that one okay you don't think that she needed a savior to prevent her from ever being immaculately conceived she needed me immaculately conceived she needed a savior no listen all our Protestant brothers and sisters agree that God can forgive sin right yeah come on they do all our Protestant brothers and sisters believe that God can forgive sin so if God can forgive sin that's a harder task than preventing sin in the first place it's kind of like Jesus with the man he says what's harder to say get up and walk or to actually pick up your mat and walk home the point is to forgive sin is actually amazing fact the fact that you're dirty full of sin and God can forgive it if he can do that why would you not think he could prevent you from getting dirty in the first place it's kind of like your mom washing your shirts all right I used to live in the in the outdoors and my mom would grumble every time I came home so why really good shirts my mom would hide and she'd only bring him out on good days like a Sunday or a birthday party or something my mom would hide my good clean shirts why she wanted to prevent them from getting dirty now if they did get dirty yes she could still wash them and clean them but she prevented them from getting dirty in the first place that still needs a savior if Mary we are forgiven of sin but Mary was prevented in the first place from sinning she still needed a savior she still needed a savior to be conceived without sin don't think that that happens just by itself a god had to make that happen how was Mary immaculately conceived by the merits of the passion death and resurrection of Jesus Christ now that's a little confusing because it happened afterwards but remember God's outside of time and we explain this whole concept I'm going to at the end talk about the book the book that I just finished it explains this whole concept of God being outside of time all right very important okay let's keep going sorry I'm running a little behind all right now some people get little swirly about caring calling Mary a co-redeemer this will be possibly the fifth Mary in Dogma but it's not been accepted yet so I'm not gonna make too many statements on it but I do want to say this why can we even begin to call her a co-redeemer because she gave Christ his body as the tool of redemption so she partook in it well when you say Co people get all bent out of shape why I have a co-author on this book all right and people would say that means he's equal to you well in the American Way you're correct but where does Co come from Latin qu see um AHA meaning with not equal to Co is from the Latin Combe which means with not equal to Mary worked with Jesus she's not equal to Jesus Cohen let does not mean equal but rather with does Paul not call us coworkers with Christ in the garden does that mean we're equal to him no it means we're with him this is what our Protestant brothers and sisters don't understand what about calling her mediatrix of all graces well father we can't do this yeah listen to the words of Maximilian Kolbe Mary participated in in the unique way in the reception of grace by the world it is only fitting that she participates in a unique way in the distribution of grace throughout the world she received it uniquely she has the right to distribute it uniquely this is the meaning of that all right let's keep going all right now what is this can you see it what was the prod the church fathers most common mary has many titles right star of the sea and-and-and-and Ark of the New Covenant what was the most common title the church fathers used for Mary look at the screen the new Eve the new Eve now this is important listen up here I'm going to steal from Justin Martyr and Tertullian Justin Martin Eve the original Eve was a virgin and undefiled this is Justin Martin but because she was disobedient she conceived the false word of the serpent and gave birth to suffering and death in the world Mary he said was also a virgin and undefiled but because she was obedient she conceived the true word and gave birth not to suffering and death but to redemption in the world now here's to to lien and I love this ah who did Satan overthrow the man or the woman okay my seventh grader once told me said hey father Chris do you know that they discovered some new writings in the in the Qumran in the Dead Sea scrolls and it actually talks about Adam and Eve I said really he said yeah they have this documented nullify you didn't hear this it just came out and I said no and he said well that is he says it was fact documented that Adam after they were removed from the garden and Cain and Abel were growing up was walking past the garden to go work in labor and in the vineyard and and Abel looked into the garden he said dad because we used to really live there and Adam said yes son I said this is documentation yeah I'm just giving it the simple explain this is a seventh grader he's his father I'm just giving it the simple explanation I don't know while the technology or theology but this is what it said and he said dad did we used to really live there and he said yes son we did he said dad look at it it's paradise there's no suffering there's no labor sweating of the brow said no son there is said dad were laboring we're sweating bye bro dad what happened and Adam said your mother ate us out of house and home he got me he got me okay and so now who did Satan overthrow the man or the woman both Satan overthrew both the man and the woman he didn't know ever throw just the man he didn't overthrow just a woman so here's Tertullian - truly insane this is very important Satan didn't overthrow just a man he overthrew a man and a woman therefore it's going to take both a man and a woman to get it back from see doesn't that make sense Satan didn't overthrow just a woman or a man he overthrew a man and a woman and their first gonna take a man and a woman to get it back who's the man Jesus the new Adam who's the woman Mary the new Eve so the same sex that conceived and brought death into the world the woman had to be the same sex that would conceive and restore life into the world that was her role the woman Eve made room for the first fall earth the fall of the first Adam Mary made room for its reparation by the second Adam this is important if Satan overthrew both sexes it will take both sexes to liberate humanity from Satan this was the promise of God in the garden when they fell God promised two things in the garden what did he promise what two things one the gift of a savior or the promise of a savior what else the gift of a mother the gift of a mother and you got to read this God knew we would be skittish little fearful creatures he knows this about us now after the fall what didn't what did Adam and Eve do what was their big sin their big sin wasn't necessarily what they sin they're big the big problems what happened afterwards they didn't ask for God's mercy they weren't merciful to each other Adam there's a real man Lord it's the woman you gave me it's her fault and see ABC completely trusts in God Adam and Eve didn't trust they didn't trust what did they do they ran and they hid God knew we were gonna be these skittish little creatures from here on out so he gave us the gift of a mother when I was little who do you think I ran to when I messed up when all my dad when we would go fishing my dad it was an amazing fisherman he would have this special Rob he had fifty rods in the basement but he was just this golden eagle claw fishing rod and we would go fishing on the river raised in the Michigan I would watch him he cast that rod it's like every time I looked at it that rod would bow over and you have another big bass I thought it was some kind of magic and my dad always told me you can use any rod in the basement just not that ride who does that sound like you can use any rod in the basement just not that rod sure enough my dad goes to work one day my buddies come over let's go fishing I'm taking there's something magical about this rod I wanted to be like my dad so I gave them two scrubby rods I grabbed his rod we'll be back before he gets home from work I'll put it right back where it was he'll never notice i grab it i give my buddies their rods they go upstairs I put my rod over my shoulder remember little Opie Taylor on Andy Griffith Show I go running through and I'm all excited and I can running upstairs and I go through and I slam the door behind me crunch went the rod snapped it right in half I'm living proof a 10 year old cannot die of a heart attack so I am absolutely just I'm in so much trouble I said oh my gosh where am I going to do what am I going to do I took a piece of tape and tried to tape it around the rod I tried to put the fig-leaf over the rod thinking he wouldn't see it and sure enough it kept drooping and I was like this is not going to work I was 10 years old I knew this wasn't going to work so what I do I ran to my mother my mother said mama sorry I was like don't let dad kill me and all that dad kill me so my dad gets home my mom doesn't let me go fishing I'm sitting home my dad comes home that night he walks in the door I'm there in the corner crying my dad says what did he do now my mom lifts up the fishing rod now my dad was not a bad man he's a good man he would but we had discipline and soon too then my dad started to take off his belt and I knew what was coming and my mom met my dad halfway across that floor she stopped him in his tracks and she said he suffered enough you are not gonna lay a hand on him and my dad stopped my mom interceded for me this is what Mary can do for us do you ever hear the story of Steven Shire the preset guy killed in the car wreck and went before the throne of God was judged and was going to be condemned to hell then all the sudden because he said one Hail Mary on the Robie as he was dying he heard a voice in his judgment and he said my son give him one more chance and he did he came back to life I met him I was giving a talk in Wichita Kansas about his story on this gift of Mary and I can't do it now because I'm running out of time and guess who walked in the back of the church to hear confessions father Steven Shire the priest who I was telling the story about and I went to him for confession later I waited at the very end and he said you know there was one thing about this story the Trinity cannot say no to Mary they cannot say no to Mary so if you get Mary on your side you are really in good shape you are in great shape so this is what's important so how do we get Mary on our side Marian consecration 33 days father Michael gave me my best friend good good friend in the community 33 days of morning glory when someone is consecrated it means you are set aside to be holy all right Marian consecration is basically dedicating yourself to Jesus using the help of Mary it is not not I repeat saying that Miri is the savior it is not saying that it is saying that I need to get to Jesus through the help I know I got to wrap up I got five minutes less than five minutes all right so basically what does Marian consecration it is an entrustment and I know what is my time I started didn't start to ten minutes late donkey so I've okay all right this is work because nobody knows Jesus better than his mother and she can help form us you entrusted it to you this means she will work everything out all right here's the point consecration to Mary does not mean you're diminishing your focus on God what it means is she's helping you to get there it actually says in Vatican two that it enhances it all consecration is basically made to God you're using Mary's help this is what it is vatican ii said calling upon Mary's intercession does not hinder in any way the immediate union with Christ but and on the contrary Foster's it alright I'm gonna wrap up here what does Marian consecration it is basically saying yes to the gifts God gives you and Mary was a gift of Jesus alright so basically I love this never be afraid of loving the Blessed Mother too much you can never love her more than Jesus did the essence of Marian consecration is giving our yes that Mary can help form us you give me permission to form you like another Jesus she formed Jesus in the womb she conformed you to give your permission to form me into another Christ but basically here's the point it's the quickest easiest surest and most perfect way to become a saint st. Louis de Montfort said Jesus came into the world through Mary we should also go through Mary that's how it happened alright now real quick 1917 I can't get into this this is a great story uh alright Satan overheard or excuse me louis xiii who arguably i think was the greatest Pope in the history of the Catholic Church John Paul's right up there but personally I think louis xiii was the greatest pope in the history of the catholic church overheard a conversation between God and Saint Saint says I can overthrow your church he said but I need more power and more time he said how much power enough to throw off the lukewarm sinner who is he getting today all the lukewarm sinners and he said I need more time Jesus how much time he said a hundred years he was granted that now the question is this was in 1884 a lot of people say did the hundred years go to 1984 possibly because what did John Paul do in 1984 he consecrated the world to the Immaculate Heart of Mary right secondly if some others say he started in 1917 because that's when Satan mobilized and he gave us the world's greatest evils in 1917 what was World War one to the Judeo Masonic bankers took their very first country in a string of Nations this started with Russia and the Judeo Masonic Temple makers took their first country in Russia the evils that were going on you ever hear of Margaret singer the founder of Planned Parenthood she started in 1917 with a movie Believe It or Not called birth control it was so scandalous that she spent 30 days in jail and she opened the first birth control clinic in New York all this was going on in 1917 but what does God's answer Mary he gave us Our Lady of Fatima and he told us people say well father Fatima our rush has not been consecrated because we haven't seen its conversion well before you can see the conversion of Russia you need to see two things one the consecration of Russia yes which the Vatican said has been done but what's the second thing Mary said had to be done you you have no control over whether count Russia was consecrated what you do have control over is the second thing Mary asked for the five first Saturday's go to confession receive Holy Communion pray the rosary and meditate on one of the mysteries or all the mysteries for an extra 15 minutes all right I'm wrapping up you think God could only use Saints ah God can use somebody like this God doesn't use just saints Reagan and John Paul two were shot just weeks apart in 1981 both survived when they both should have died both said God speared him for a purpose the purpose they believed was to bring down communism atheism and to bring God to the people and freedom God spared them they both set their mission was to bring down communism and it's a proven fact now the Soviets were behind the assassination of John Paul so let's keep going real quick Reagan had an intense interest in Fatima do you know he went there and do you know that he spoke and he said the three children of Fatima in their prayers are more power than an atomic bomb this is Reagan and Reagan he died in nineteen thirty two thousand four he had one request and his funeral they sing Ave Maria and Nancy aloud and he wasn't Catholic he wanted an Ave Maria son Reagan were who's born near full machine anyway oh gosh all right I do man I do a whole talk on the tilma I do a whole talk on Our Lady of Guadalupe alright I'm not gonna be able to do it now kiss yelling at me okay so I can't do this whole talk about the but I'm gonna give you two devotions if you haven't done these two I tell you I've done all of them there are two that never failed me they have never ever ever failed me one is our lady under of knots Mary under of knots I do not pull this out to find my wallet I pull this out in the big things in my life and she's never failed ever this is one of the most powerful concentrations the arleigh or devotions Our Lady undo or of knots Mary's on the crescent moon Pope Francis broad road from Germany and the other one is anybody know what this one is Our Lady of good success excellent this operation was to a nun in Ecuador in 1600 listen to that she predicted a spiritual catastrophe in the Catholic Church and in all the society she said it will happen shortly after the middle of the 20th century she went on to say there will be widespread moral corruption profanation of marriage boy have we not seen that priest will scandalize the faithful causing suffering for good priests unbridled luxury will ensnare many souls loss of innocence among children and loss of modesty among women lack of priestly and religious vocations thank God for people like the Marian fathers were overabundance of vocations pray for sisters like the queenship have married beautiful ladies so she said that the current period of catastrophe will be followed by a period of restoration this is what we're praying for and Mother Mariani died in 1635 in 1906 they exhumed her body and it was incorrupt so I finish this story comes John Paul said don't be ashamed to recite the rosary she I had a great story about the rosary but I'm not gonna be able to tell that don't be afraid to pray the rosary she'll walk with you along everywhere you go do not be afraid and I want to read one final quote you tell me who said this if you know it yell it out we are all the children of Mary Mary is the mother of Jesus and the mother of us all if Christ is ours his mother is also ours she the lady above heaven and earth here passes the woman who was raised far above all other women indeed above the whole human race no woman is like unto thee thou art more than an empress more than a queen blessed above all nobility wisdom or saintliness who said that Martin Luther Martin Luther this is documented say this to our Protestant brothers and sisters who attacked us in Martin Luther had the better idea no he didn't he believed in the Blessed Virgin so there are quotes here I can't read them right now there are quotes here I can't read them now and so we basically had the gift of a mother and I can't talk to you about this story but I can tell you this Mary is our gift Mary is our mother don't leave her behind keep her with you this is the essence of it and you know what in our book and I finished with this because it's downstairs I finished this new book it's called after suicide there's hope for them and for you this book is amazing in the sense that it is something that I believe the church is not done and that is to give the true Church teaching on those who have taken their own life my grandmother is one of them she committed suicide we talked about the church teaching but this book is not just about suicide the spiritual principles of divine mercy that are in this book apply to any kind of suffering if you are suffering in any way not just by a suicide but any kind of loss of a loved one or any kind of suffering the spiritual principles in this book are for you I talk in this book about the mass about Mary about adoration all these wonderful things [Music] you
