Hey, aren't you tired of those default alert sounds? Then it's time to step up and create your own. We're going to be using voicemod today in order to create our own alert sounds for Twitch, YouTube or whatever you want. Let's do this. OK, so step one is going to open up voicemod You don't have voicemod yet. Just click on the link and a description. It will send you to voicemod.net and you'll be able to download it for free. I don't think I need to tell you how to install it. Click Next, Next, next until it's installed. All right, it's opening up. Let me put it like that. Maximize it. So the difference between the free version and the paid version of VoiceMod, which is what I have, is going to be that you have access to a bunch of voices. You just don't have access to all the voices when you are in the free version. OK, now the voices that you'll have access to will be on rotation, meaning that you will not have the same voices like two days in a row. I don't I don't actually remember what the rotation was, but basically they rotate. So sometimes I'll open up voicemod. If you're in the free version, the voices will change, which for this tutorial doesn't matter at all. Just pick which voice is the most suitable for your alerts and then use it. Now, the second thing that we need to use today is a voice recorder. We need something to record the voices that we're going to use. Now, if you really don't want to install anything new on your computer, that voice mod and OBS, I guess if you're a live streamer, I'm pretty sure you might find some online voice recorder where you just pick the source and then it records. I personally like to use a little software called Audacity. It's completely free and you can edit the voice pretty easily. You talk and then you see the waveform and then you can cut whatever is the most important part of it. For example, I can click Record Test, Test, Test, stop it there, and I can select this empty space Press Delete on my keyboard and boom. I have pretty much the perfect sample I can export and test this. This will be my audio bite. Now, the next question is going to be How do I make audacity record voice mod? Well, it's pretty simple. Voicemod actually creates a virtual force that you can pick in the dropdown menu here. Let me let me maximize this so it looks, you know, official and good. You see the mic icon. You click here for the dropdown and then you find something that says Line Voicemod. So in order to test it, what we can do is just record testing 123 and then activate one of the voices that we want. Bottom left and voicemod, you will see hear myself. Voice changer background effects here myself. Test, test, test. You'll hear me twice because I can hear myself. Now I'm also picking up this audio and then voice changer. Right now, the voice changer is activated, but I can't hear myself. Testing 123. That's just a reverb sound, so you can use the Hear Myself option to hear which voice you're going to go with and what is going to sound like. Now you can turn it off and just record what you have to record. For example, if I go with sentinel testing 123, this is the Sentinel voice. This is the Titan voice. Let's record i'm gonna turn off myself. This is the Titan voice. This is what it sounds like. Let's play it back. This is the Titan This is what it sounds like. OK, I was weird bug there. This is the Titan This is what it sounds like. All right. Oh, I almost forgot this video was actually sponsored. Let's go to a message from our sponsor. And then when we come back, we can actually get to recording devices that I want. This portion of the video is sponsored by Own3ned Pro. Own3ned Pro is a complete service to help you jumpstart your streaming career by offering you every single thing that you need in order to become the streamer you've always wanted to be. You will get access to over 600 overlay packs and alerts. You'll get widgets such as events, list stream labels. You need help managing your stream. Here's a custom chat bot Own3ned Pro even went as far as creating copyright free music just to make sure you stay on the safe side. Own3ned Pro has the biggest library of Overlay packs on the internet and allows you to install them in one click. Look at that. There's so many now I've been working with Own3ned for a while now, so they decided to throw in 50% off of their pro plan. So if you want to upgrade, simply use code GAEL for 50% off. But I'll let you find this out at Own3ned.gg/gaellevelpro that is Own3ned.gg/gaellevelpro. All right, welcome back. There's a couple of voices that I actually haven't heard yet because they they're constantly adding new voices, so I'm going to test out those ones. Bonnie. Oh, OK. Bow tie Billy County Town College. I read that one before evolve over. Yeah, even though I like the very disco Very disco very disco. If you're interested in getting Voice Mod Pro, not just only for the voices, but because we have a voice lab where you can create your own voices, you have sound boards, you have so many options, but mostly the voices. There's over 100 of them. I believe I made a video where I tested every single one of them, and you can go check this out somewhere or just look it up. Type Gael Level voice mod. You'll find it anyways. All right, we can start by recording a bit alert, for example. Thanks for the bits. Appreciate it. All right, let's play it back. If we press play here. Thanks for the bits. Appreciate it. OK, I used the CS:CT voice. I'm going to cut. The space here in between, when I say whatever I say and then the radio turning off or whatever. So boom. And I'm also going to shorten this part just so it starts immediately. And also, we don't need any empty space. Thanks for the bits. Appreciate it. All right. Now, if you're satisfied, you can go ahead and click on file. Save other export. As MP3 WAV or OGG, OGG is a pretty universal file type when it comes to uploading as alerts, I believe, from other mainstream labs and every other. Most of them basically accept Ogg. I like going for a wave for sound fidelity because it sounds a little bit better even though the files are going to be bigger. But in this case, we're working with very short audio bytes. Anyway, click WAV and then just save it wherever you want. All right, now, if you went very, very basic controls, for example, the volume, if you want to bump it up a little bit, you have this slider right there. And then there's also the balance slider, but don't don't touch that, OK? There's also effects. I definitely encourage you if you're going to use audacity to play around with it a little bit and get familiar with it. But. And this tutorial, we're already using filters. We're using voicemod We don't need anything else. Let me just delete this. OK, I'm not going to save it. And let's continue. All right. Let's do another one. 69 bits. Nice. It's nice, but it seems to be a little buggy in the beginning, but that's not an issue. I'm just going to say testing, testing and then say the line testing. 69 bits, nice testing, best. 69, it's nice. That one has extra bass in it, so I'm just going to cut delete now, I'm going to keep that last point. This one will be extra funny because it will also be a jump scare. Welcome readers. Let the games begin. And the cool thing is that voice mod actually has a sound board, so I don't know what I'm going to find here. I haven't really messed around with it too much, but I think it's pretty cool. I can maybe search. Let's see. Clap, slow clap. Clapping. Boom. And there's one right there. That goes for a forever, ouuuh, we're going to do this manually, OK, we're going to record on a second track and then we'll trigger the sound board and it'll probably just lower the volume manually, just like that. Welcome raiders Let the games begin. That easy. And now we have welcome readers. Let the games begin. And that's our alert. Welcome to the next level. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. A host. That's a huge raid. OK, now the question is, what do you do? Once you're done recording those alerts, you go to Stream Elements. If that's the service that you're using or you go to Streamlabs if you're using StreamLabs. And in this case, we're going to go to my overlays because the alert box is going to be part of your overlays if you're using a service like Stream Labs. You can go to your alert box settings, open up and overlay that you already have. Or you can create a new overlay if you want to. I'm just going to open up something that I already have here station intermission right there. All right. So that's the overlay at the bottom. We will see a little plus button, and this is how you can add your alert box. We can click Alert Box and here I can move it around. It's right there. And as you can see here, all have all the options of alerts that I can have. So followers, subscriber top tier hosts raid purchase once we click on the cog wheel of one of those, this is where we will have access to everything the visual that shows up and then the audio. So for the sound you want, upload sound, this is the sound volume. Let's click Upload Sound Sounds and let's click Upload a top right. You can drag and drop the files, or you can just click select files right there. Now what I'm going to do here is instead of just uploading one, I'm going to go ahead and upload all of them at once and then I'll be able to choose. So I don't have to repeat this step over and over again for each sound. It will be recorded, recorded and it will be saved in my library. As you can see top here, we have like about one gig that we can use. So my internet is trash is going to take a while, so I'll see you once it's done uploading all of them. OK, here they are in your library and what you want to do is click submit on whichever one you want to choose. In this case, we are modifying the follow alert, so we want something simple like, Hey, thank you, the click submit and then you can check out the volume here. We usually want those to be pretty loud. It depends on your computer and your setup. And then at the bottom here, where you see the little bell, you can click, emulate and then emulate a follow event because that's what you just updated. Let's click on it. Hey, thank you. Is that simple? For example, I haven't done anything with a subscriber event, so it will have the default sound. You know that sound we're all familiar with? Now there are some extra options when it comes to alerts, for example, a normal raid or a raid below 50. Viewers can have a different alert than a raid over 50. And this case, this is going to be the default raid. And at the bottom, you will see variation settings and then here you can add a new variation. With this variation, you can start with blank. Change the name to over 50 or raid. Then here you'll have variation parameters, and here you'll have condition. And the condition is that at least 50 subs or subs 50 viewers for the raid. And in this case, we're going to upload a different sound and this one will be the huge raid. To be fair, I don't use that like every raid is a huge raid for me. But if that's something that you want to try, here's how you do it. Then you have the normal settings and then right there you can click Save Variation. Make sure you save the top right as as as you're modifying stuff just so you don't mess that up. Let's test them out. Hey, thank you. Welcome to the next level, welcome raiders. Let the games begin. Thanks for the bits. Appreciate it. That's a huge Raid I know. Thank you thank you welcome. All right. And if you need to Streamelements, you know, you gotta add it by copying the overlay like that, you go to your OBS you add a new source, you pick browser's source and you just paste the link in there. That's it. If you don't know much about obese, I have a full guide on how to use it both with StreamLabs or SteamElements. And just like that, you're on your way to having a very cool sounding or maybe weird sounding stream with all of those new alerts that you just created using voicemod and audacity when it comes to the visuals to make custom alerts. I also already have a tutorial on that. But I will be making more, so I'll make sure that you subscribe and click that notification bell once again if you haven't. Just smacked my water bottle. Once again, if you haven't checked out voicemod yet, click the link and a description. I will be making a quick video on how to set it up so that your Twitch chat can activate voicemod while you're live streaming using bits. But that's kind of an incentive for them to donate bits. Other than that, just follow me on Twitch, I stream on Twitch. Follow me there. Come talk to me. Say hi. And if you're looking for a holiday themed overlay packs, I have a couple of them at gumroad.com/gaellevel. Some of them are free. The rest is very affordable. But in the meantime, I'm going to tell you. Thank you so much for watching this video. I will see you guys next time. Go out there. Make me proud. Gael Level out.
