ANNOUNCER: We are
live in Warwick, Rhode Island where moments
ago officers responded to a report of an assault. Right now we're
responding to a stabbing. Male said that he was
stabbed by a female. The call came in from a
neighboring apartment. So they're getting in
all the information. We're kind of get
getting it bit by bit. We're going to be
pulling up to the-- We're going to be pulling up to
where the victim is right now. [radio chatter] OFFICER: As far as the stabbing? VICTIM: Bitching
and bitching all day because I took the day out of
work because I got a migraine. OK VICTIM: It got
into name calling. I rolled over. She went to dig in my stuff. I grabbed my stuff. You know, my little
junk box on the side of the bed on my nightstand. And when I went to grab
my stuff she punched me. So I spit out blood. Some of the blood hit her. She turned around, grabbed
the fork off the desk and just stabbed me. Kept coming at me with it.
I had the pillow up. Grabbed my [bleep]
and got [bleep].. OFFICER: Do you
guys live together? Yeah. OFFICER: Where do
you guys live at? - I don't want to press charges. You're not going to
have to press charges. So you think she's
still at the house? I doubt she went anywhere. OK. All right, we, we, we
need to talk to her. All right? We've got to make sure
everything is all right. Did you hit her or
anything like that? Any self-defense? Were you trying to
get out of there? Is she going to have
scrapes or bruises on her or anything like that? VICTIM: She tried
to leave the scene. OK.
All right. So I'm assuming you
don't want to give us a statement or anything
like that at this point. Nothing at all? All right. And that came from a plastic
fork or a metal fork? VICTIM: Metal fork. Metal fork. Ma'am is your sister
inside the apartment? Yes, she is. She's probably sleeping. She has a heart condition. OFFICER: She's
probably sleeping? After what just took place
she's probably sleeping? It's not even-- Wasn't even a loud
confrontation. It was just me telling
him to get out. I wasn't even
screaming, or yelling, or arguing, or anything. It wasn't even a
loud confrontation. OFFICER: OK. How did he-- How does
he have the laceration on his hand and the busted lip? How did that happen? I don't know how he
got the busted lip, but-- OFFICER: Maybe he fell
down or something? Is that what you're saying? No he is a revengeful
little prick that could end up punching himself in the mouth. OFFICER: He's a
revengeful little prick. Is that what you said?
- Yeah. OFFICER: OK.
All right. Because he's revengeful. He told me he was
going to call the cops. OFFICER: OK. So I didn't believe him. OFFICER: And then he
stabbed himself with a fork? I don't know about-- No, the fork- I might have. I might have in the
rustle and the tussle. He might have gotten
stabbed by the fork. OFFICER: OK. Because he was trying
to take the fork-- OFFICER: He resides there
with you and your sister? Yes, unfortunately he does. OFFICER: OK. All right. Well what we're
going to do is, we're going to be going in there
to get his belongings back. All right? And then he's going
to be leaving. All right? But we're going to go in there
so if your sister's there we're going to have to wake her up. That's fine, but I don't want
my vehicle back in my spot. I don't want it-- OFFICER: You want your
vehicle back in your spot so you try to take
off on these guys. And then we're supposed
to park it for you? Because what what's
going to happen is, we're probably going to tow it. Because had you had
cooperated with these guys, we could have put it
in a parking spot. What do you mean?
I have cooperated. OFFICER: You have cooperated? Because that's not the side
of the story that I'm getting. From who? OFFICER: From the
officers on scene. What? OFFICER: You tried
to scoot out of here. I didn't know they
were here for me. OFFICER: All right. I'm not going to sit
here and argue with you. I'm not.
Believe me sir, I'm not. I'm not arguing with you. I do not know they
were here for me. I swear to God. OFFICER: Did you-- What was it
you thought they were here for? They were at another house. They weren't in
front of my house. OFFICER: Were their
lights on when they were trying to catch up to you? I stopped. I stopped when I
seen the lights. OFFICER: OK, all right. But they didn't have
lights on when they were in front of another house.
OFFICER: OK. I had no idea they
was there for me. OFFICER: So you just thought
it was a coincidence that they were here for somebody else? I thought they were
there for somebody else. OFFICER: OK. I didn't know that
Ed had called the cops. OFFICER: OK. He's going to come back
at a later date, actually. OFFICER 2: Anything else. So they'll come back
on a later date. A later date? OFFICER 2: Are you
good with that? Yes I am very good with that.
OFFICER 2: Very good. Yes. OFFICER 2: And while they do
that, I'll have you step out, and I'll loosen
your cuffs for you. How's that?
Does that sound fair? Yes.
That does sound fair. Did she bring my
vehicle back over here? OFFICER 2: Oh,
that's unfortunately getting towed [inaudible]. I didn't know she was here.
Turn around. I'm going to loosen it for you. What are you doing? [bleep] . Cut it out.
Cut it out. Really?
Quit banging your head. Quit banging your head.
- Cut it out. - Quit banging your head.
- Cut it out. - [bleep] .
- Cut it out. Quit banging your head. You're not going to bang your
head again, you understand? - Stop.
- Stuff her back in. Stop.
Calm down. Let's get her in the car. Stop resisting. Put your left foot in first. Watch your head. Watch your head.
Watch your head. - [bleep] .
- Get back in the car. Michelle, get back in her car.
Watch yourself. All right, watch your face. [bleep] . [bleep] - OK, well take her in.
- Yep. We can transport her. And we'll go check on the-- Sorry, do they live on 88th? - She's banging her head.
- [bleep] . Roll the windows down. You've got to go around
to the other side. Ma'am, you keep
hitting your head, you're going to
get pepper sprayed. You understand that? If you keep-- - [bleep]
- Stop hitting-- [bleep] people. [bleep] You're taking his side.
[bleep] Stop hitting your head. [bleep] ass. Shut my ass? - [bleep] ass.
- OK. I'm not sure what that
means, but I would really like you to stop hitting your-- [bleep] you. OK. OFFICER 1: Hey,
are you guys good? I'll have somebody else
meet you at [inaudible].. Go nice and easy. [bleep] - Nice and easy is--
- [bleep] --for everybody, all right? Calm down.
OFFICER 3: Left. Left. Left or right you [bleep]. Calm down, Michelle. [bleep] breaking my arm. [bleep] You've got one over
here pulling to the right. You've got you over here
pulling to the left. - Next right.
- All right. ARRESTEE: No, don't
tell me [bleep].. It's got nothing to do [bleep]. You don't [bleep]. Stand back. ARRESTEE: [bleep]
[bleep] [bleep] [bleep].. I'm done. I'm done. Let's take the cuffs off. All right. Get up against the wall.
ARRESTEE: What? No. Why don't you push me
up against the wall? OFFICER 3: We're just going
to take the cuffs off. ARRESTEE: No, you're going to
push me up against the wall. OFFICER 3: No, no. ARRESTEE: We [bleep] [bleep]
[inaudible] that I [bleep] [bleep] All right,
[bleep] anymore [bleep] [bleep] been that way.
- Just be nice. Stay there. Stay in the corner.
- Stay in the corner. I want my [bleep]. [interposing voices] ARRESTEE: Yeah, right.
[bleep] We'll go get him for you.
We'll get him for you. It's all been worked out.
ARRESTEE: [bleep] . ANNOUNCER: All right,
let's get in a break. Live PD in [inaudible]
departments, coming right back. So due to her state that
she's in right now, the safest place for her, just because of
how she was acting and striking her head up against the
partition inside of the car, we put her in a padded cell,
took the cuffs off her. Hopefully, she'll calm down. She's going to
have to be printed and processed before
she can go in front of the bail commissioner. So she can stay in there. She's completely safe
because of the padded cell. And we'll check in
with her in a half hour and see if she wants to
cooperate and come out and go in to a regular cell and get out
of here as quickly as we can.
