hey guys today we got Josh's k-series swap Civic on the dyno he's got a GT 3576 so stock k20 with head studs J pro seal head gasket and then the turbo kit CX racing turbo manifold tile waste gate and a plethora of other goodies to make it all go fast so today we're gonna go ahead and tune the K pro on it Josh's over here gap in his plugs getting those down to seventeen thousands on the K series so we use this NGK Iridium plug gaped at seventeen thousands a lot of guys say you can't gap routine plugs but you sure do because the fact it can still misfire as the boost comes in to the engine without enough power you misfire the spark plug so the gap a nose and we're gonna go ahead and get in the ECU and start tuning this bad boy and Sean hopefully he'll give us a little update on what he's got going on showing up so you got that to look forward to so right on let's get to work Oh what what else you got on yours okay stop GSX oh yeah well maybe those nurses on those soft ESX cams yeah under 24 do them might be checked off too though what I did the cheap feet apart you saw what they pulled some pins out of here [Music] [Music] I like the manifold or it gives you just a ton of room back there yeah definitely opens things up and doesn't have quite the heat problem we may put a little bit of heat stuff just on this part of the plastic just so as this one gets hot it doesn't melt it yeah because it's oil pressure so you know it's one of those you just definitely want to always be good I was planning to run the full exhaust to the back it's close yeah yeah so when you can you just have to like everything has to be he trapped and/or plated and then like you can come over the top and then shoot for that hole you just have to have that one line come over and over and then like shoot it back you know it'd go like this and then underneath it looks really good and this one is on K pro always already said is that Li see you down there I'll set up already for me to go what size fuel pump you got in it what size fuel pump a.m. 3:40 okay cool so that's what we got in the tank we'll make work so when you see these different camera angle numbers these are the maps it's gonna use these numbers will vary he optimized it for what I had before so I'll see how that stuff works and then I'll make adjustments as I go loaded let's check that everything's scaled correctly the fueling which it's not you can see all the cells overlap we don't want that so we're trying to copy the same picture they were creating all right so see we're just need to correct all the boost stuff before we start up correcting these boost numbers will very much help what we're after before we go and start this so I'll get to there what interpolate it kind of helps us out there to sell two corners that are just a little high so fixes those fix these spots load it and then let's check the table they were using the most which looked like the 20 degree table 20 okay so it's just a copy-paste type of situation so we'll go in here highlight copy let's go to 10 edit paste she doing pops all right so I'm putting there the timing lead on it so you can measure twerk but to do that that's with this extra little white plug well white wire cover is anybody ever need them to put a timing light on their case yours this is where you put it so this little jumper lead it's how you time just on the spring so we'll probably just creep up on it I believe my boots got still at 9:00 look so boots cuts at four right now so we'll put that at 10 to start with rolling off just follow along with six degrees now ride the footbrake a little bit what step in and it shows me the load so it'll run up into the spots of the map we're ready to go the datalogger good start 3:09 we made so the way that wastegate is facing it's really cool you like where I was standing you could watch the ballyhoo let's go you don't get to see away skates like that yeah and it opened like immediately and it was like partially open and then it started opening farther as you could see you brought extra Springs so he can change the spring you find another way to change the booze [Music] [Music] so that was a rich so Jamie's trying to pick what spring he's using it's gonna take you know 13 pounds ish 13 to 14 pounds to make the 500 number which is jaw which that's Josh's goal so that's what we're shooting here right so I spiked seven pounds and it fell to five cool stock vows wheezing retainers in it torque actually track that times we need mucho motor boost so those spring ratings were just wrong a little bit oh it's a knockoff oh you got us so that was 357 330 337 all right well we need to feed her I got to figure out why I pulled some timing but either way we'll get her solved and back up I don't have any knockout so it isn't that yeah yeah I think so maybe I'll another lighter or one big heavy or one lighter or one big heavy it's a 30/70 six so or 3576 right they are that's when it releases it so when we're controlling the boost with T's you're letting air out before it against it so you're cooling it down you're just fooling it you're tall you're doing you're just relieving pressure before the diaphragm now you got new springs in it we still don't know they're heavier [Music] watch out for Emilio is popping [Music] hell for one the torque spike like 401 dude like 10 pounds really and then I felt it fell to what eight pounds so we're on the right track I got no more Springs to put in it okay so tea time t-time so the torque shows 4:03 they're just so everybody sees that was us just a ignition noise spike right there it's actually about 282 on that pole and 401 horsepower conversation earlier right now we're just gonna have a tea and fool the wastegate pulling it up pulling it up hey don't go fool around out there pull it around all these guys fireworks in it up oh yeah we're blowing some stuff up mine too we got some weak fire time for a trip across the state line he's got pop rocks dozen has nothing you've got to make our own I think 500 with this turbo is gonna take probably 15 16 pounds the smaller software is probably the reason for that but we'll keep fighting it [Music] they go right to your cut yeah my cuts only ten pounds Oh all right ready take number two same thing it looks like ninety-seven three 97 she's not standing out yeah you're good I'm gonna put another two-year huh okay this intercooler isn't as efficient as we need it to be the intake temps are around 140 degrees 140 degrees I'm pulling four degrees of timing so any number I have in there it pulled that much time so you can see four degrees of timing pull that 11 pounds of goose it's kind of the same kind of power you're gonna have that eight or nine pounds of [Music] just really hot we've won her up I'm honored honor so pulls all the timing away and then he keeps it alive and safe but but I still have any not so that's why I'm gonna let yet and that's what I also notice that second the second my claws pushes second is it the weight yeah you can cut the weight off we've done that before just changed whether we just like this doesn't quite feel like you're in here oh yeah it's the weight and the charge pipe okay so it's just hanging in the open it's not quite in anything so it's down here in the hot zone oh yeah bamm-bamm is blowing it in so that intercooler still looks pretty small [Music] but that means the temps are coming Oh [Music] red party okay so we saw that the air intake temperature sensor is not even in the pipe so we can't trust that data where it is it's getting hot air from the radiator fan and that's just what it is but it's pulling all my time I still have a pulling some timing because I don't know where I am so I don't want to totally go ballistic here okay but that's where rap they're gonna watch the weight when I shift a second because it feels I thought there and then also newbies all right all right start the logger yeah there we go yeah that was sick five now it's better for 35 give me ten pounds ten belt that'll be a blast right there dude okay the other thing I do if I was you since the since you actually run the hood with that waste gate just dumping into the under the hood it's gonna heal all that right by that intake temp sensor to yep yeah or even just make it go up and put another hole in it something just get it out of the engine bay right now it's fine yeah either way as long as it's out of the bay right man good work yeah well it's a big power band somewhat no no saucy case
