on this warrant: gang squads
did an investigation of robberies
on the avenue. They've got some suspects
in custody. They got a tip that a gun that was used
in those robberies is at this house, and they have made
a drug buy out of there from our suspect. So we're going
to go in there, execute the drug warrant
in hopes of finding the gun. All right,
dispatch it. All right. About as much as we do. (Farris)
I'm not sure what kind
of reaction we're going to get. This guy's been linked
to a bunch of armed robberies, so it kind of makes it
a little more difficult for us with the kids and guns. Those don't go well together. [clapping] [men yelling] (man)

We had a pit bull
that was running around kind of scared
and kind of skittish. It appeared like she's a mom. Doesn't appear too aggressive, but she did
start growling at us, so we went ahead
and deployed a dog stick to get control of her
so we didn't have to shoot her. It seems pretty docile,
but again, it was growling at us, and dogs can change temperaments
very quickly, so we're going to find
a place to secure it so our detective doesn't have
to stand there holding it while we're here
the whole time. Hey, Chuck,
have somebody come around. You woke up and smoked, then walked upstairs to see
what all the commotion was? Yeah. You had to calm down before
you came upstairs, huh? Yes, sir. (Farris)
After we made entry, we found that a bunch of kids
were in the house, but our suspect
wasn't at home. (man)
He lives here. These two guys
don't live here. Just the two
young ladies and that gentleman
over there. (Huth)
We're going to start processing
the residents here, the kids that are here, but our main goal was to find
this gun we're looking for that was used
in these robberies. So far, we've recovered
small amounts of drugs and a holster for a gun, so we're still looking
for a weapon, obviously. Does anybody know
the combination to the safe down there? Hey, you know
the combination to the safe
down in the basement? (Huth)
A couple of my guys
just located a safe down in the basement-- a small safe that no one seems
to know the combination to, so we're going
to bring it out here and use some of our
techniques to open it, see what's inside
of the safe. (man)
You guys sure you don't know
the combination? Last chance. (boy)
Last chance. (Huth)
I think we got
the universal combination. [hammer banging] Oh. We found a safe
that belongs to the suspect that we came here looking for. He's not here. However, his safe is here
with a pair of his pants. They're jean shorts
with U.S. currency. (Huth)
And a lot of cash. We're going to go ahead
and count the cash out, see how much we got there. But most importantly,
we found a .357 Magnum handgun with a speedloader
with some rounds in there locked in the safe, so again,
a very good possibility that's going to be the weapon
that we're looking for in relation to these robberies. Go in back? Yeah. (Huth)
We're placing this subject
under arrest for possession
of a controlled substance. We found marijuana
in the pocket of his pants. Our suspect's 22 years of age. The rest of these folks
are juveniles. You know, the really tragic part
in all this is, these children-- just take them out
of this environment, maybe they'd have a chance
at something better. When I grew up, I was surrounded
by a lot of bad influences, but fortunately,
I was able to overcome them. I only hope these kids
are able to do the same. (Carmody)

We're really happy
and proud of the progress
that he's making. What is that, a, uh-- Scoop of ice cream. A scoop of ice cream? That's great. Every day in the community
where I work, you know, I see kids that come
from bad situations, that don't have the things
that they need, that aren't
in loving environments, and, you know, we're not going
to let that happen with Caleb. Where my jacket? I think it's right there.
