[Music] [Applause] [Music] good afternoon how are you guys doing today and yes as you can tell by the top of the video today we are going to go to costco to make a purchase not just any regular purchase but a very special purchase so long story short you know yesterday me and the wife we had costco and you know we're doing a usual grocery shopping and stuff and then we actually walking by the frozen sections i look up boom a5 wago beef straight from japan i was like oh man i said you know i stopped taking a picture of it you know the guy that was handing out samples and stuff he was like yeah people take picture of it but you know they don't really buy it so i'm like yeah i'm not gonna buy either so you know on the way home i was thinking about it i was like ah man should i get it you know my wife said she wanted this for christmas so i was like you guys hear that yeah here that's my heart beating so let me go inside let me make this purchase real quick before i change my mind so uh i'll tell you guys about the reason after uh i'm done making the purchase so give me one second oh man here we go which one do you want honey we go for 195 to 10.98 [Music] 1998 i got a cheap one 168.98 then we're going to grab a cell some himalayan pink salt i'm gonna type it in whenever we get these in oh my goodness those are beautiful [Music] yeah i did it i hope my mom doesn't watch this video [Music] yeah it doesn't matter how old you are um you know growing up with the asian parents oh yeah purchase like this you're gonna hear it from them but yeah so um let me tell you guys the the reason why i got this though okay what do you want to believe me or not it's actually not for me it's actually for my wife and you know for the video but originally i was going to take her to uh you know this place in downtown houston it's called b and b butcher and they have a kobe beef and they have wago beef when you go to the website you can see it they sell 85 lego beef for four ounces for 120 dollars i was gonna take it there for an anniversary or one special occasion something like that but you know since costco has this hey it's actually uh saving me money so you think about this right so this thing right here is 1.69 pound right and so and we convert that into ounces one pound is 16 ounces and 1.69 pound is about 27 ounces so they sell four ounces for 120 dollars i mean for 27 ounces that would be around about 810 810 minus 168.98 so i'll save around about 640 so even my messed up i'm saving money but nah i joke aside but yeah my wife you know she uh she worked hard and then you know she just asked so much so you know i figure you know i do this for her as you can see i'm in a different clothing because even though i bought it yesterday the first thing first instruction on here is um let's say you have to throw in the refrigerator for overnight so i bought it yesterday on sunday and so you know we went out to go eat and you know kind of fool afterwards so put this in the freezer and i let it thaw this morning before we went to work and then now it's been done for about over nine hours already so you can feel it it's kind of you know it's kind of soft now the last time i did the video on um the american black would be from snake river farm i don't know you guys were a little bit harsher on me so you know like i say uh i am not a chef so you know uh you know i'm just a regular joe uh there's a reason why they sell this at the store so you know like regular joe like me we can you know cook this ourselves this is the most expensive food item that i spent that i have to cook myself i did watch a couple youtube videos um you know went through you know a couple of pages you know search how to cook wagyu beef and stuff like that and you know back here too it has the instruction on here already so you know i guess most of the time you know all you have to do is follow the destruction that come with the package and it should be good and uh so on here like i say it's a thawing refrigerator overnight so we get that first step and it's like to season your preference with salt and pepper yeah last time i did with regular salt oh man you guys were like why did i use a cheap salt on a good piece of meat so when now when i got the himalayan pink sauce you're going to use this and just only you're not going to use any garlic powder or you know peppers or anything like that just that just the meat and a little bit of salt that's it and yeah that's pretty much it you know that's what they say on the you know most instruction too so yeah i'm gonna cut this up right now and then uh we'll get this process ready and uh hopefully uh my wife will enjoy this [Music] oh man wow so how do i find you know like the grain though like look at this [Music] so i'm guessing we can cut this way yeah make sense cut this way i'm gonna let it sit for about 40 to 60 minutes so it's 5 34 right now so we're gonna let it sit out here see this look at this guys man you guys see that so this is my theory right so you know since the uh pandemic you know people can travel to japan they're not selling enough a5 wagon beef over there so you know they're like hey why don't we just cut the cost and then uh just uh make a deal with costco and then let them do the rest of work we'll come back and check on this at 6 35 so while we wait for the meat to get to room temperature i'm going to cook some rice and then you know we're gonna saute up some king oyster mushroom all right so i don't know about you guys but i love me some king oyster mushroom you know these are organic grown from korea yeah all right cut these up i'm not gonna do anything special about it just gonna keep it simple i'm just gonna saute it up with some um garlic powder and then uh you know the chicken powder [Music] and we got 10 more minutes into i show time what you guys man but i'm nervous what if i messed this up oh well right that's all me so let's uh cut this uh piece of fabric right here so that we can use that to cook the pan so soft guys see how easy it came out [Music] so what we're going to do now is we're going to take the himalayan salt just going to sprinkle a little bit on there all right i got to do a salt based style [Music] all right rub it in keep at the side for today i'm not gonna use a pan i'm gonna use this this is the rock cooking plate i had a lot successful with this cooking korean bbq so let's set this up and get this party started [Music] and the instructions say to use a medium heat so we're going to do around about seven and then uh we're gonna use the fat to cook the pan since you know my wife can't do a medium rare let's do a medium so we're gonna do two to three minutes on each side we're gonna use the fat right here that we cut earlier [Music] here we go [Music] so [Music] oh oh man look at that [Music] man that was intense i think i did it right well i hope i did it right we'll see in a minute okay uh it is now uh 6 40. the instructions say was to let it rest for about five to ten minutes so uh let's come back around about 6 47 you have to admit smell really good some more salt just in case if it's not salty enough all right you guys ready [Music] oh man look at that yeah sometimes you just gotta follow the instruction that the thing give you it's gonna cut right in the middle so it'll be easy to cut and that's like no effort at all guys okay i'm just gonna [Music] i'm really sorry if you are drooling because you know i'm cutting it right now and i'm jeweling so [Music] you guys ready i'm so sorry guys literally like i'm not even chewing look [Music] and i basically disintegrated in my mouth wow you know that beef that i had um the american regular beef yeah it didn't even come close to this let's try this again see you see i don't cook like you know i don't do no um medium rare but oh man for this one you guys see that i wish you guys can smell it [Music] wow i hope my wife doesn't like this though it's going to be a expensive build every week still no one she's with the kid right now so i'll get her in a little bit you guys see that you know you guys thought i saw it already let me let me try one more piece [Music] okay i want you to let it sit like this let me just let me know click on it it will disintegrate your mouth literally so soft wow all right should i that so what do i think of it is it worth the money heck yeah it's worth the money i mean 85 is a lot for a piece of stick but wow there's something else guys like you know i grew up like you know in the asian parents and you know all we ate was you know the um well done steak you know you have to chew over and over and over not with this it really melt in your mouth so soft it's so good would i get it again probably you know sister i already know for sure my wife would like this though but i'm gonna tell it that tastes nasty so yeah so anyways i hope you guys enjoyed the video thank you so
