[Music] all right good they tell you god bless you welcome to the shepherd's chapel welcome to this family Bible study our praise God we're ready to get back into this book of Samuel I think I better lay a little groundwork before we begin here in this as we approach the fifteenth chapter you remember in the book of Samuel we observed the last judge which was Samuel indeed and the people wanted a king they worried something they could see something that was material basically some man they could go to and picture themselves talking to him or literally be judged by him because this business of God not making himself visible except a very few Brit perhaps judges only or men called of God such as Moses they wanted somebody they could see and God told them the curse that man would bring upon them so God gave them their first team and it hurt him considerably that they would not respect him as king after all he created everything may I say he built it all and yet they didn't want him to have charge they weren't a man to be put in charge so he brought the man and with man a curse and the curse is well written he said he will take your sons he'll take your daughters he'll take your taxes he'll take part of your cattle and on and on and so it goes even into this day I cannot help but deliver believed as a matter of fact it's it isn't even up for question the first man God anointed was fall changed his mind but you'll remember Saul couldn't even find the jackasses that his father's of his father's that strayed until he went to man of God and ask were to go find them and God changed his mind though that is gave him a able mind and made him a pretty fair King to start off and then Vinnie turned just down right on Ramin because he was jealous of David jealousy one of the probably one of the weak greatest weaknesses of man and then God anointed David as the second King and David is still that King but when we hit chapter 15 we get us another King basically and this is the problem with man God want to know what this King it will be a bless Absalom he'll appoint himself King so the lesson in it for you God will give you the traits on self-appointed men you have it in the clergy you have it in business and you have it in government someone that God didn't sin God didn't speak to they just take over you're gonna get now that type king poor old David in as much as all ruled of too severely and unjustly it as much as he wanted to kill David and David's own compassion probably caused him to be a poor King because through his sin and after he's saying he wouldn't judge he let his own family destroy him basically with Absalom being his own son will drive David from the temple ablism has been brought back by David but yet he's be might as well be in exile because David won't won't let him come in his presence and he sent for David's nephew and said I'll get me an audience with him David's nephew wouldn't come so he said his weak field on fire and burned her down that got him he comes on the run it got in his pocketbook and we find Joab coming to in verse 31 of chapter 14 let's ask a word of wisdom from her father that we may understand now the self-appointed king as we come to them in Joab arose in verse 31 of that chapter and he came to Absalom on to his house and he said unto Him wherefore have thy servants set my field on fire and epsilen answered Joab behold I sent unto thee saying come hither that I may send me to the king to say where for him I come from be sure why did you bring me out of exile from gcg sir it had it been good for me to have been there still now therefore let me see the king's face that simply means recognize me bring me out of exile and if there be any iniquity in me let him kill me I want this over with I want it done with 33 so Joab came to the king and told him and when he had called for Absalom he came to the king and bowed himself on his face to the ground before the king and the King kissed Absalom I don't think this was any great welcome home sunny I think he was still he still had reservations and probably if there was any one time that God had given him a premonition or may we say a discernment of spirits and his own son this was it for Absalom does not want to be near the king for that that is good but for that that is wicked he wants the job he wants to be king so we come full force then we see David he's about aged 56 here we see Absalom he's 25 24 25 and Solomon is a six year old boy and probably if Absalom were to have his way would do away with Solomon in time because he wanted to be the man that ruled chapter 15 verse 1 what does a man do and what are his traits when he self appoints him you will see it all wrapped up within this chapter 15 verse 1 and it came to pass after this that Absalom prepared him chariots really one and horses and fifty men to run before him why would he do this because he thought he was somebody pride do you remember in the last lecture we found out that he was absolutely well the word beautiful is even used he was a beautiful man and we see the full pattern that even Satan followed so in a sense we see a type even though I feel epsilen being a foreigner Maron is from a foreigner wife of David's yet he was a very popular man with Israel because his countenance was good and people just liked him he had a good personality but he was also stuck-up he was on an ego trip when you hire 50 men to run before you it's to get out of the way Absalom comes royalty he wanted people to know that there was royalty present in other words my dear friend he was acting like a king you know and anybody like that ever met anybody in your profession or just in life that basically set the air before them that I am somebody and really it was their ego that was saying that to them not the public however used to be a person like this is very shrewd to win the will of the people to keep them under his hand let's see how he does it verse 2 and Absalom rose up early and stood beside the way of the gate in other words if somebody's going to work wicked they're usually a person that doesn't mind rising early to get started that if they planted all night in their bed and they start at it early so if you're a late sleeper and half numb dumb coming into life each day he's already got you before you get started friend and stood beside the way of the gate that's the entrance to the judgment seat and it was so that when a man that had a controversy that means a case to be judged by the king came to the king for judgment then epsilon called in to him and he said and said of what city art thou hello good buddy well were you from you ever heard that tact okay I mean there's nothing wrong with being friendly but listen to what follows and he said thy servant is one of the tribes of Israel in other words always johnny-on-the-spot to glad-hand to make himself no one how did he make himself no one in this manner three and Absalom said unto Him see thou matters are good and right in other words I see your case and if I were what he will ultimately say here I'll just bring it down to plain old modern country in English if I may I see that your case that you're 100% in the right and if I were the judge if I were the king I would certainly rule in your favor no understand this just from the start david has never given a bad judgment with the exception of that time that he was hampered or handicapped because of his own sin he always judged well for the people but not in his own family all right but there is no man to puted true for of the king to hear these nobody's gonna listen that they'll probably give you a bad shake but not me boy I wouldn't I talked about making points have you ever met him make point Charlie a gold brick er I could save a few other things but I think you got the point verse or Absalom said moreover all that I were may judge in the land and what who was that the judges were out of business now the king did the judgment oh that I were king that every man which has any suitor cause my coming to me and I would do him justice now what is he doing he's standing by the gate early in the morning good old buddy glad bagging flat handing making points with everybody likeable sister cuss four pounds of hair each time of the year he polled it in other words he was he was handsome just a regular type of you-know-who with pride puffed up 450 men running before him say it's the king here you have the self-appointed king and God helped the people that ever get anyone like this over them verse five and it was so that when any man came nigh to him to do him abeyance he put forth his hand and took him and kissed him I mean what a way to win friends and influence people you got the picture six and on this manner did Absalom through all Israel that came to the King for judgment so Absalom stole the hearts of the men of Israel hey don't think they won't do it for it you can you can buy friends in this nation today you promise them you don't have to produce they'll forget anyway most of them will because they don't really get their gray matter in gear until at least noon and the sharpies already got his motor revved up before they get out of bed it's real sad but that's true seven and it came to pass after forty years that Absalom said unto the King I pray thee let me go and pay my vowel which I have bowed unto the Lord in Hebron okay let's do a little correcting here this means 40 years after David was anointed all right it's based on that now the old sirak has four years instead of 40 we know that there was two years from the time he was out of Exile and it is believed by some that this was two years hence four years rather than 40 now I asked you you you say you got to keep a head of a sharpie friend if you're not sharp yourself he's gonna do you in what in the world is this he would have been there from Giza for for two years and David is giving him free will for two years and he made a vow walling gee sure and he's just now getting around to it wouldn't that make you a little suspicious it should he's a fraud it's a lie were saved for thy servant bout a vow while I abode at Guiche ur in Syria saying if the Lord shall bring me again indeed to Jerusalem then will I serve the Lord he didn't once serve the Lord he wants to serve himself you know he's doomed here and it's really kind of sad in a way because he was David's sin and God's curse put upon David that good day that God would raise one up in David's own home own family that would do exactly what this Absalom will do in as much as he lay with Bathsheba this son will lay even with some of his father's wives that prophecy in curse that was brought forth by our Father our fathers in control no one understand that but learn at the same time that he there is no lost motion with our Heavenly Father he's in control every moment so learn well the lesson and can you learn by other people's mistakes or must you make them all yourself you see those that are downtrodden or those that they don't get the gray matter going until about noon and let the sharpies take advantage of them if there's any one thing you want to do this learn how to get the gray matter going when your feet touch the floor or you're in trouble for in nine and the King said unto Him going peace David all big hearted full of love going peace so he arose and he went to heaven well Hebron or Hebron however you choose to pronounce it both ways 10 but Absalom sent spies throughout all the tribes of Israel now you've got his vow alright he made the vow to himself that he was going to deceit David dethroned David he's in spies the tribes of all Israel saying as soon as you hear the sound of the trumpet then ye shall say Absalom raynathan Hebron setting up his own kingdom and here again you see a split what split David will primarily stay with Judah and Absalom will control Israel again two houses in heaven and so Absalom went and with Absalom went 200 men out of Jerusalem they were called that means they were good they were good soldiers and they went in their simplicity this doesn't mean they were simple-minded it simply means that they didn't really understand what was going on they just went with thee they liked him who wouldn't and they do not anything they didn't know what was going on they didn't know that he planned to set up his own Kingdom twelve and Absalom went sent for a high so fell the guy low Knight David's counselor from his city even from God low guy low meaning exile a high Cobell means brother of foolishness David will name him that after the fact I'll explain that when we cross it which while he offered sacrifices and the conspiracy was strong have you ever heard of a conspiracy can you recognize one we have them in this nation all the time by the leftist yes even all the way to the top of Congress to the Senate you've got leftists that work conspiracies in this nation for the people increased continually with Absalom they continued to buy his tripe and so it is with simple-minded people in this nation that all they all they dream about is a handout and they both will believe that cheap leftist junk that certain people will put out they they're gonna buy buy but it's your money that they're trying to buy with friends and we got to get rid of people like that they got to come out of the Senate there's only one way they can come out and mess them vote them out Jesus said fish out of the right side of the boat so you Christians wake up and start fishing the way you're supposed to fish so we see a conspiracy I just wanted to see if you can recognize one when you see it even before your eyes today well there's nobody gonna fool me oh there isn't well you're probably familiar with the cancer in Nicaragua and you've got people in the Congress of this nation that our dear comma doc T friends they write letters and go down and visit friend they want to see a make it and they damn heroes of this nation that will stand up and try to put a stop to it there should be a law against that sort of thing but then it was seeing that most of the minds and the gray matter still sleep till noon and people can't recognize conspiracy when it looms in the papers daily sharpen up verse 13 and there came a messenger to David saying the hearts of the men of Israel are after Absalom they're following him King and David said unto all his servants that were with him at Jerusalem arise and let us flee twirl David on the run again well we shall not else escape from Absalom make speed to depart lest he overtake us suddenly and bring evil upon us and smite the city with the edge of the sword I suppose David knew his suspicions and I suppose the reason he did not say any more than he did God had promised him he would do this and David believes the Word of God and and rightfully so before so it is that was back in the twelfth chapter I want to read those words to you thus saith the Lord behold speaking to David I will raise up evil against the out of thine own house paid a friend if God speaks that you can count on it if God declares it it shall come to pass and I will take thy wives before thine eyes and give them to thy neighbor and he shall live with five wives in the side of this son meaning he will do it publicly you're gonna find that David will leave some of the wives behind and guess what happens you got it okay let's continue on David leaves the city here and we come to verse fifteen and the Kings servant said in the king we hold thy servants are ready to do whatsoever my lord the King shall appoint whatever you say I kind of admired David here he could have made a bite but he knows it's God's will because of the verse I just read to you he knew it was God's curse upon him got it let him live and he knew he was still paying the price for that sin with Bathsheba 4:16 and the king went forth and all his household after him and the King left ten women with their concubines to keep the house and of course this will be the wives that ABS absolute ache 17 and the king went forth and all the people after him and tarried in a place and that was far off in other words they were help there for a distance as the others gathered and all the servants passed on beside him and all the care of fights that's his own personal bodyguards the executioner's as well and all the Pella fights and all the gets hikes 600 men which came after him from gas passed on before the king get tight so those that belong of gas and these were even strangers among them that were loyal in other words so right and then said the King to get TI to get tight wherefore goest thou along with us what are you coming with us for again they're strangers see they don't have to return to thy place and it bide with the king for thou art a straw or a stranger and also in exile in other words you don't have to work this is it CI means a problem he was simply a servant and and there would have been no danger he didn't have to go 20 whereas thou camest but yesterday should I this day make me go up and down with us you want to go into exile again to run seeing I do with her seeing I go whether I may return down and take back thy brother and mercy and truth being with you he'll be fair to you it'll be all right 1221 the attire answered the king and said as the Lord liveth and as my lord the King liveth surely in what place my lord the king shall be whether in death or life even there also will thy servant be friend that's loyalty David stood there as they came by kind of like the Shepherd with his staff if you would counting and that's why he turned this one back let's see what he says then 22 David said to tie up the gold and pass over come on with us and a tithe age it get tight passed over and all his man and all the little ones that were with him 23 and all the country wept with a loud voice and all the people passed over the King also himself passed over the brook Kidron and all the people passed over toward the way of the wilderness Gina what Kidron is that's the little Brook that just that runs just east of the main gate at the city of Jerusalem down in the valley that even makes the valley of jehoshaphat was just to say the valley of judgement and right at the other side is the Mount of Olives there will be one of David's ancestors have a great deal to say from that Mount of Olives just above this KITT run we're where he now stands and they're passing over 24 and Louis a doc oh look it's the doc the priestess is the chosen of the order of Melchizedek his a dick in English they meaning in Hebrew and loes the doc also and all the Levites were with him bearing the Ark of the Covenant of God and they sinned here sent down sat down rather the Ark of God and Abbot's are went up unto all the people until all the people had done passing out of the city now Betty skate down across that dry valley Kidron means winner torn it was there with water there in the wintertime but mostly dry and the King said unto sadoc carry back the Ark of God into the city if I shall find favor in the eyes of the Lord he will bring me again and show me both it and his habitation can you trust God that way there was no need in taking the ark to a point that it could be kept and taken captive by people like the Philistines again leave it in the protected city even if it was a sunny new his son wouldn't destroy yet surely it proves he knew that he wanted that he wanted yave to direct the events and that he was directing the events 26 and if he must say if God should thus say I have no delighted me behold here are mine let him do to me as seemeth good unto Him if it pleases God well that I never come back so be it i loving my trusting that's good enough for me 27 the king said also unto the dock the priest or Dallas seer that means are you a prophet one that can see into the future returned into the city in peace and your two sons with you a high-mass thy son and Jonathan the son of a Baba David's doing a little a little protecting and thinking and planning on his own here all right a by authority nning excellent father and of course Jonathan the gift of yah what why would he want to do this 28c I will tarry in the plane of the wilderness until there come word from you to certify me I'm going to wait on yah but when he speaks in other words David's putting spies in the temple city to report to anymore I was happening 29 so the doc therefore hand by athough carried the Ark of God again to Jerusalem and they tarried there listen to me closely 30 and David went up by the ascent of Mount Olivet do you know what that is the Mount of Olives and he wept as he went up and had his head covered and he went barefoot like a shepherd and all the people that was with him covered every man his head and they went up weeping as they went up real quickly I want to turn over to Acts chapter 19 I want to show you the Messiah he that would be the offspring of David through Mary Luke I'm gonna you won't have it on the generator I'm just gonna turn to Luke chapter 19 I'm gonna start reading with verse 37 this is your Saviour on the same pass no less Meza will document that well if you were to walk from these gate of whatever year it was you would still if you're accustomed to country at all you'd probably still walk across Kidron and still up the same old name or draw and when he was come 9 even now at the descent of the Mount of Olives the whole multitude of his disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works that they had seen in Jerusalem all right saying blessed be the king that cometh in the name of the Lord David had come in the name of the Lord he said go back and bring me word from Lord the Lord peace in heaven and glory in the highest and some of the Pharisees from among the multitude said unto Him master rebuked a disciples in other words they were calling Jesus Lord and the Pharisees didn't like it and he answered and he said unto them listen to these words the same place that David was ascending barefoot head covered and weeping as they went Jesus speaks I tell you that if these should hold their peace the stones would immediately cry out because they were the same stones that were present when David walked up that hill weeping and now my pea was there that's what he meant and when he was come here he beheld the city and wept over it Jesus did even as Saul Hosanna saying if thou had us no one even thou at least in this tide a the things which belong into thy peace but now they are hid from thine eyes for the day shall come upon thee that thine enemies shall cast the trench about thee encompassed me around and keep thee on every side he's talking about when the Kenites would take the city control it 44 and shall AZ even with the ground and that children within thee and they shall not leave in the one stone upon another because thou knowest not the time of diversity ssin there comes a time when this same Jesus would return to this Mount of Olives and when his feet would touch it would split asunder to rock and open a path across that same Valley Kidron to that east gate and destroy Satan Antichrist and his little children that he has nestled around him where we see God's word there's nothing new Under the Sun dear one and don't accuse me of God's Word I don't have to God's Word is complete within itself well we'll pick this up with Absalom you have the God that went bad you have a king appointed by God that's sin and now you have a self-appointed king in conspiracy what's your choice which flavor do you want friend you got a bunch of it today and some of you need some gray matter turning or that you know which conspirators to put out all right bless your hearts you listen a moment please
