the warlord Titan it's time that's right today I am 3D printing a warlord Titan and I am already regretting it but I'll tell you why later because I'll be 3D printing this huge model with the help of this week's sponsor Frozen and their sonic Mighty 8K and mini 8ks the warlord Titan has a few different variations from different creators but there is one that has been constantly recommended from the day I started 3D printing it really lives up to being a relic from the long War still being online showing countless attacks and dmca waves from g-dubs I won't say where it is how much it is or even the name given to this glorious machine because I don't want a tick and done so if you know you know hi gdubs you're not getting the info for me while this file is considered to be the cream of the crop it does have its setbacks that have caught me more times than I would care to admit all of the parts need to be scaled down to 90 which it doesn't sound too bad saying it but there are a lot of parts and on the very first one I forgot this was a constant for me because my muscle memory makes me automatically go through the steps of Auto supporting and light chain but what I wonder is Will Auto supports be enough for a warlord I mean this is a huge model that huge that it uses anywhere between 10 and 12 kilograms of resin just to give some perspective for 10 kilograms of resin you could print five warhound Titans or you could print 2500 death core of craigsman I spent two whole days of binge watching every video about supporting resin minis because at the moment it takes me 30 to 45 minutes just to support a Space Marine size model so I can't even begin to imagine how long it will take to support a model like this the videos I find the most helpful were from table flip Foundry who happen to be the ones behind the cones of calibration I do differ slightly low as I'm going to probably over support because I'd rather use more resin on supports than on reprints I'll go into more depth with high Duty supports and a private stream for patreons and YouTube members on Discord soon which by the way if you want to join possibly the best Discord in the universe for 3D printing then join the patreon or become a YouTube member okay let's start from the grind up and print the Fate on a few other pieces first I'm going to be using the mighty 8K mainly and try to print with the mini 8ks whenever I can to speed this up however I can only fit three toes on the mini 8ks but thankfully I can fit a lot more on the mighty I I'm not even sure how long this will take to print on a mighty but if I could only use the mini I think it would probably take me months well it definitely would take months because the feet failed on the mini but worked on the mighty I'm not really sure what's happened because I've been using the mini to print off these models for the absolute legends that have donated to the Titan project directly and enabling my addiction and allowing me to buy the resin and supplies needed for this huge project and they have worked fine which is a neat segue until 19 that there are some new additions to the Defenders Of The Titans with the corrupted princess controlling the warhorn Titan until the chaos one comes along spawn DOA keeping him and the Titans safe from ground attacks we have Scion tabir and his ferocious brother in arms Caleb Jackson if you want to join them and be a part of YouTube history then donate through the PayPal link down below to watch the printed pieces in the wash station for five minutes before taking off the supports I've been using my own settings for heavy supports which aren't too hard to remove from the prints and they don't leave too many scars or marks so far after curing the toes in the Cure station I had a closer look at them and unfortunately I don't think I can use these toes it's a minor failure but it's really noticeable to me and I'll know and you know so I'll have to redo the supports in the areas that build and try and print them again in the mini 8K so I can free up more space on the bigger Mighty 8K luckily I saved the lychee file meaning it only takes a few minutes to adjust now this was strange even with the beefed up supports it still didn't work does this mean that it's my supports the makers codes models worked on it so I guess it could be me these were my thoughts while finding out it had failed in the same spots again I can tell you now from the future it was underexposed by 0.3 seconds I have spent literally the last two days printing off cones of calibrations to get the right settings on all of my machines I would highlight highly recommend to not be lazy like me and calibrate your machine I decided to leave the mini 8K for printing the Infantry for donators and focus mainly on the mighty 8K it's got a big candid split but even with such a big plate I'm still standing at the bottom of the warlord Hill and my head is absolutely melted trying to work out how much more I need to support and print I printed off more of the armor pieces because they seem to be quite easy to support with not too many details which is a bonus if you end up doing a warlord then my only advice is to be patient because everything slows down when you're dealing with something the size of a toddler even when slicing the files it seems to be taken 20 to 30 minutes but although it's taken longer than I expected I'm still positive about the results that I've got so far and it's still going a lot smoother than I first thought it would that was until I was taking the supports off the coal and snapped it in half I have burned through just under six kilograms of sun loo standard resin printing off these Titans and I gotta say I don't like it the ABS like resin seem to be okay with its flexibility sure I was losing some details off the 8K printers using a cheap resin but having some knowledge that a trap won't shatter the model was the trade-off that I was wearing the tip but the standard well it just snaps in my hands never mind being dropped I'll be honest with you I'm getting more and more anxious that I'm gonna get these Titans both unpainted and in a month's time I have to make a video saying that they all collapsed under their own width because of this resin the worst part is I'm sort of stuck with it now so I'll just have to make the most of it and hope that nothing else goes wrong please I reprinted it out on the mini 8ks just to keep its machine Spirit happy and even though I didn't know it was under exposed at the time it printed off grid which delayed me and actually calibrated it this time however I made sure to take great care to take off the supports because I'm not breaking another piece of this model I find it funny how long it took midwinter minis to complete his warlord but now I can actually personally relate this is the second time someone's on my door while I'm recording well this changes everything because I have just received something that is going to make this project a whole lot easier but you're gonna have to wait until next week so while you wait you should watch this video next because I 3D printed a war hind for this Titan Legion and as always I want to give a huge thanks to my patreons and YouTube members without you none of this is possible and I'll see you all in the Discord thanks very much
