I Fixed A Toilet

all right matt walk us through it all right so today charlie is going to be fixing an item that he did not know he was going to fix before right now a toilet i was able to sniff that out from being in the bathroom but yeah it could have been a sink it could have been a wall but it is a toilet charlie has to do it with no instructions no internet he gets one 30 second phone call to his father if he doesn't answer it's over you don't get a second chance what if he calls back i can answer okay so here are the tools at his disposal yeah [ __ ] yeah all of this on the table is yours and might fix the toilet yeah i have a good feeling about the fishing rod helping yeah all right so would you like to see the toilet you're fixing let me survey the landscape check this bad boy out oh yeah so what's the problem with the so this toilet's actually broken right here yeah so just a little back story i was coming in here to break a toilet for him to fix and it turns out one already did it for me so yeah it's blue that's a good place to start yeah it looks nice in there i don't think it flushes oh it's beeping yeah yeah no nothing's happening all right good so all right that's enough too much explaining okay now charlotte's turn to figure out what's going on all right i'm gonna i'm gonna actually dress up first has this been cleaned since you last wore it now yeah it's big on me so over yeah we knew it wasn't really broken it's actually broken this time so here are the tools you can use oh what the [ __ ] never seen that before wow all right so i'll have to build the toilet from scratch well you gotta go see what's wrong yeah it's a diagnosis diagnose it first and then fix it which toilet is it i wonder is it the same one i don't know is it it's missing the uh did you let me for one it's for tampons you went in really courageously well i was just pretty confident that we didn't have a burglar putting tampons in our trash um because that's the only option or who would put tampons in there [Music] did you hide it here is that a potato did you put a potato in the okay i've diagnosed the first problem it's a multi-step process all right okay step one is you also took the flap off okay let's dispose of this [Music] a bird that left the potato on our tampon trashcan so the first problem has been identified so i need to locate these lost items somehow i'm going to help you and say i don't think man just kidding it's not a scavenger hunt there you go no more help after that hide them from you but it's gone and i also love packing hints that are hidden and he hasn't loved the stall oh it's a good place in this two by four bucks um maybe this is where the fishing rod comes into play this is this is new i think okay here's one all right i think i'm getting proving to be a it's gonna be a long video it's proving to be a bit of a challenge here with these lego pieces so he has a new one of these and a new one of these but neither one of them are loose so it's not like i'm supposed to redo those did you get it yet no but you have two you have a new big unit and then new skinny pipe you've been so i see you know the plumbing terminology yeah the mel-min clay trooper these aren't loose so i don't think he wanted me to like install the newest version was that your is that what you wanted me to do upgrade it am i allowed to answer this depends on if we want them here all day i guess yeah just just fix what's broken so you don't want so why do you have these two pieces then if we're not using them he's he's confused because of like you have the new pieces over here if i just bought you the pieces that you needed you know exactly sorry about everything so we're not using these you can try if you want i mean yeah so this episode is now fixing the toilet well upgrading it's now installing an entirely new photo actually i don't even think i can i don't have the tools to put this in because i need to you you should have all of the tools here well you know to install this i mean in this no that's what i meant you have all the tools available to install these this is heard of me inside i'm gonna say don't install that i but i want to rare hints full new toilet supplies because i figured after you did some of them i just come in and do the rest are you are you gonna actually install these i don't mind let's reopen them now i still need to get the flush the flapper working so you don't want to do that right now we can do that right now we don't have to because if you let's just do it right i've changed my mind this would be a teamwork this down i could slide this on top and then when i put it in go on the chain so that way when you flush you'll lift it up true i'm pretty sure this is how it's supposed to be but i can't quite figure out how to attach this without shaving that you could do it like this doesn't really get me anywhere okay let me i do like how invested i'm pretty close that's why i feel that you're taking it personally there that's absolutely how that goes but i just don't know how to attach it to the plunger nor do i know how to make the plunger stay even when i do put it in here but we're getting somewhere you see would be it well yeah because you need a new thing to connect the chain on the flapper to the plunger since you got rid of the old pieces i love that you continue to call the handle a plunger it's a puncher i thought your dad was gonna be like what the hell when you said the toilet plunger that is accident that's absolutely what it's called but then what do you call this that's a different kind of plunger you may be right i don't know everything about toronto's i just don't see how connects [Applause] tell me your secrets what does it do a little piece of plastic is best to try it doesn't make any sense it defies aviation and if you want a little hint i'll do one that won't help that much but will help like i'm not going to tell you exactly what goes where all right give me and i'm tired i'm pretty satisfied you like that it's just spraying everywhere it should be playing i mean yeah i don't want to touch these are you calling it there you give up i didn't even look at this problem to be honest [Music] can i give you hints can you please turn the water off before i get sprayed that's what i was doing all right just not fit is and then so does this just not is that not problem was this i didn't realize these were independent yeah well i speed ran the pipe part yeah good job you did it you look defeated yeah that i thought it was going to be like some big eureka moment but it turns out it was just wrapped around itself and i thought that's how it was supposed to be that's sad what was total time we're like at an hour i think that's not bad [Music] there's no way it was an hour we started after four because matt had his four o'clock call and then we started like 15 minutes i've i've got 15. yeah i've recorded almost an hour of footage well not bad how did you do mac give them a grade you did great i'd give that an s crush that's not a grade all right i don't think i'd give him an a once you figured out that the chain didn't tie around there or go on that thing you were cruising did this piece come with the tube or did it come with one of these it came with both of them i wish you didn't get that then no this all came in one box so i got you a box of everything that goes in the back of the toilet uh so they ship all this at the same time yes so it's everything all at the same time that all came in one box that [ __ ] me up yeah that [ __ ] me up and then it became a battle of knowing what goes to what and what was used for just the flapper yeah next time we'll just get you what you need well then it'll be too easy well that's why we did it this way but you didn't like that well it just took a while i still don't really understand what this plastic port does what i need to make some adjustments adjustments what adjust well i didn't tighten it or anything it's kind of neat to make it so the toilet bowl actually for the back when it actually fills in there slowly did i put it on too well yeah also i did too good of a job i'm washing my hands all right any any closing thoughts matt no i think that was good i think we learned what we need to do for next episode more lifelines i didn't need the i didn't use the life if your dad didn't tell you about that you would still be trying to put that handle true when he said that he saw the threads of the nut or whatever yeah that's when i knew that they weren't one solid unit so yeah that was actually a huge hint i wouldn't even thought to undo those i i think it was good i think you did a great job nice i thought so too there we go stopped filling we're good let me put this back on it's the end of what's the name of this song fix it with charlie yeah fix it he did yep you feed it i finished it what do you want to fix next time i don't know but for the love of god just buy what i need so i'm not you just said that would be too easy yeah but i changed my mind again all right so we'll just be watching just what i need and i can i can probably figure it out from there instead of guess what goes to what all right well we'll we'll pick what to fix next time maybe a sink a car more water stuff i've fixed things before actually so that's not like a challenge all right sink it is back in my old apartment it used to bust all the time i had to go under there get a wrench tighten that bad boy up sometimes well i'll keep that in mind when i'm picking up the challenge i'll go past tightening the bolt yep all right well good work thanks man that was good felt good felt very confident you should bet on it next time like if you finish in under an hour i owe you 50
