with our family one more time because we have mixed something where i look a bit more healthy not true yes yes guys so we just want to thank you so much for all of your support on the last video so many suggestions of meals that you guys want to see us cook but also just you know your encouragement and your support and vulnerability in the comments you know letting us know that you're also working on your own health journey so we can do this all together okay so daddy i'm not even gonna waste any more time you know we don't like to waste any time in the kitchen right right so without further ado tell the people that where we are make today from vegetarian pasta no lasagna lasagna why not no i just knew you were gonna say something different guys today we are making vegetarian lasagna okay so i'm very very excited about that so we're just gonna go straight in daddy where do we start where do we start and people vegetarian lasagna i'm gonna use zucchini instead of the pasta sheet okay okay so it's all vegetarian no meat nothing okay so you mean tell me there's no pasta in this daddy no no no no liquor style for me candace you can't skip what this starts for a day okay guys so you heard it you heard it we are definitely going to be doing this with zucchini as the base rather than actual pasta i'm really excited because i feel like i've had something similar to this before we've never cooked it in the in our house but i'm very excited so teddy yeah zucchini i slice it okay and i season it okay all right obviously you're gonna tell them what you seasoned it with but you're gonna show them here how to cut this correct and i'll show you how i slice it okay if you have a slicer at home you can use it and you slice it thin okay so i use i don't have a slicer i like a knife a little knife guys remember jamaican household look at that and i do like just like that careful careful your finger then okay okay it doesn't matter if you cut halfway so it's not a big deal if it's like halfway or anything because it all goes down the same way right yeah be careful y'all they should end up like this it's gonna be like this very thin okay and then you season them season them up yeah all right so what did you put on this actual zucchini okay i put um oregano okay oregano basil over here black pepper black pepper some garlic powder garlic powder yeah so oregano black pepper basil and garlic powder yes and some olive oil and some olive oil okay all right and my vegetables so where do the vegetables come in are they like pretending to be the ground beef yes okay okay i follow you i follow you i follow you yeah so i have diced carrot here i have broccoli okay red pepper onions green beans okay chinese broccoli chinese broccoli okay i have some squash okay from the squash upon the squash family okay and i have some sliced mushroom okay and some sliced mushrooms and i'm gonna add some spinach to it okay i'm sorry for this very healthy very very healthy healthy healthy healthy what do you mean i have more healthier lunges all right we'll see about that yes okay turn my pot on and i'm gonna saute all my veg okay but first i'm gonna put some olive oil and then my garlic fresh garlic okay so what is the heat level in this right now this is high high yeah okay all right pot is on high y'all pot is on high yeah i think about three tablespoons you'd say that that was three tablespoons that you put in of olive oil guys three tablespoons of olive oil i mean three jamaican tablespoons you guys already know what it is here it might be a little extra in there okay all right then i'm gonna add my garlic okay and add your garlic so you can get some nice flavor from it we love flavor and we love garlic with my spoon stir it that flavor comes out [Music] i want the flavor to escape right yes [Music] already right away hold on mercy i love a nice garlic garlicky dish yes that's a little flavor right here so now my veg goes in okay i'm gonna hide the carrots first okay we'll step back y'all because you already know me you know i'm getting a birthday for some reason i thought that maybe you would have to like blanch the the vegetables first but i guess not it because they cook inside the pan you know what when you do the veg like this you get everything out of it okay with your blanching bread all the nourishment from it goes in the water okay you throw that away yeah and you don't want to throw away the nourishment man no sir we have to keep the nourishment you see this may take a little bit more time and a lasagna goes in the oven anyways so the oven will cook everything together right yes makes sense okay all of my other ingredients i'm going to add to the pot the carrots just needed a little extra time on their own okay fair guys look at the beauty look at the colors squash if you could smell this right now wow on my mushroom the power of garlic i tell you but now i'm gonna add my seasoning okay so what you're starting off with then reagan though oregano not you dropping the o from the front oregano spoonful spoonful oregano you guys you hear that what's next a spoonful i had a friend named basil and i was yeah these are natural seasonings natural mystic meat [Music] oh man i know i know you guys are watching this and i'm saying man i could eat the vegetables right now because i'm saying the exact same thing the veggies just look so good especially after they get seasoned up yummy in my tummy a spoonful of black pepper in it spoonful of black pepper you can't forget now black pepper give it another stir okay i'm gonna turn this down to medium okay so going down to medium you guys yes you don't want anything to look burn good look how delicious you know i'm gonna cover it and let it sweat okay so we're gonna let it sweat in there yes all right okay we're gonna let it sweat and notice how there was no salt daddy i noticed you didn't put even a even a little little pinkier salt you never drop in there no because over here uh-huh the cheese [Music] this is a mozzarella cheese fresh i grated it and i'm gonna put one egg into the academic cheese okay and mix it up okay well let's get there let's get there and that's it and that's it okay okay okay okay i'm not rushing you enough russia take your time wine crack eggs one cracked egg okay into the ricotta okay and i'm gonna mix it up mix it in yummy it's not yummy in my eyes guys i actually cannot stand raw eggs and things but i know that it's important for a lot of things to come together so i get it it's interesting because ricotta doesn't even really have a taste i don't know i feel like ricotta does not have any taste whatsoever guys tell me in the comments if you're watching right now which you are i need you to tell me in the comments does ricotta have any taste or am i crazy okay because to me i feel like ricotta is just a texture ad rather than a flavor ad but i mean i still love it let me know okay let's take a look at the pot it's sweating out yes this is shrimp yeah it did shrink that's interesting okay i'm gonna give this about six to eight minutes okay okay six to eight minutes we'll be back okay tomato sauce tomato sauce i'm gonna warm up my tomato sauce okay i'm not gonna put it in a vegetable okay okay interesting you're not gonna oh you're gonna do it separately yes because i want to put some seasoning in this bad boys here okay i already have two buckles in here so i just leave this out doesn't show you so you already put two bottles of just regular marinara tomato sauce inside the pan so now you just added those tomatoes okay and i haven't seen this brand this brand is called canada right canada red shut up to canada red this is our first time using you um you know shout out to the canadians okay then i'm going to add my seasoning to it okay because i want to kick up a notch so everything gets seasoned nice okay so we're backing with the oregano one tablespoon one tablespoon go get our friend basil so you know tomato and basil they go well together together yes that we know from the italians one tablespoon okay shout out to the italians and the belding tablespoon half tablespoon garlic no black pepper garlic take the spoon and these are all sodium free you guys so peacock nuts if you would like to add salt to your meals go ahead season your pot the exact way that you want but here in this house we finna get those healthy bodies not true daddy yeah yeah you get lucky yeah we have to get back in our business for true for true for truth give it a stir okay i turned on and i put it on medium that looks so yummy already though so the pot is on medium right now you guys so when you come to a boil i'm gonna turn it down [Music] we're gonna wait for it to come to a boil yes turning top you turn it off it's good now because you don't want it to be too soft right no because you're gonna go into your lasagna uh-huh you're gonna cook again yeah so you don't want it to over everything is prepared i'm gonna pretend the sauce is ready everything's laid out my spinach i wash my spinach okay yes make sure we're gonna wash them washing it in green that spinach is yeah okay this is so exciting daddy it looks like so much fun i feel like kids would love to like take part in something like this so guys if you have children yeah because i don't have meat sauce i have tomato sauce i'm gonna put some at the bottom of my container okay not too much just coat the bottom just enough to coat the bottom yes does that smell so good it does yeah you can smell the healthiness in it all of our seeds okay i'm gonna lay some okay look at that you guys that's my pasta sheet zucchini pasta okay okay so you can like layer them on top of each other if you have like a broken one yes i just saw you do that yeah there's nothing wrong with that and shout out to my big daughter this is a recipe chantelle i'm a big daughter she's an amazing cook don't go to her so basically she just she plugged you with this recipe yes okay so i'll make our recipe yeah she make one but she put meat in hers but with zucchini but it was so good i said no i have to try this and when he says big daughter he means oldest daughter that's how jamaicans say their oldest daughter okay big data data so we're definitely going to be trying out her recipe today okay okay now i'm going to put some veg i can't see you goodness already you guys y'all you know what i feel like what was it squash or sweet potato squash why do i feel like the squash is going to add like a nice like thing to it because this this question of lots of flavor it's gonna have like a little sweet touch to it yes it is [Music] with that sweet and savory a little bit oh gosh guys i'm a sucker for a lasagna okay i love lasagna so having it done in this version um i'm i'm i'm i'm you know i'm i'm trying to figure it out try to you know let's see i'm not gonna talk too soon let's see next layer is spinach and my record cheese then ricotta okay what is container you're not you're not getting skimpy with it you're not skimpy with ricotta are you no because it's a small container so i don't want none left over and remember they have head in it oh so you got to use it i got to use it up okay makes sense press it press it down that is going to be firm so i'm saying so i'm saying i'm actually sleeping me if you have one layer of avocado i feel like one of them is perfect it's fine because you have another cheese here you're gonna go in it exactly what i'm gonna do yeah hold a mercy one layer is perfect look if you didn't i feel like it's perfect come on just the right amount just the right amount look at god look at that you guys come on now look at perfection y'all see my father is perfect and he said be perfect as i am perfect period okay i'm gonna sprinkle liquor more cheese here okay mozzarella mozzarella okay maybe a little bit more a little bit more because i don't know how you're gonna fit that top layer on top of there daddy how are you gonna do that you have to press yeah because i want a solid yeah you want a nice hearty lasagna yes you ever try some people lasagna and it just scat away and and have no body and just it's like the edges turn up and it's just not hitting we're not doing that today guys we are not doing that today [Music] my of zucchini in this lasagna i feel like if you put yeah i think you could fit one more a thin layer like no double enough guys look at us figuring it out with you guys that's how you know we love you letting you in on how we figure it out but i just know this is going to be so delicious i just know look at that you guys look at that oh careful yeah what about to say let's put that one long ways now some more some more veg we're just gonna rinse and repeat so let's meet them back when we're putting the last layer of cheese on top all right i mean we're we're just about overflowing you guys so make sure you estimate how much you're putting in because clearly we have to do another pan which we're gonna do but this one is just about done we got another layer of zucchini in there another layer of veggies um some more cheese and does it have to be covered daddy to go in the oven yes it does how are we gonna do that you're gonna put the wax paper and then the paper in the foil and then the foil okay so when you put the wax paper this cheese won't stick to it okay that's what i'm saying so i'm is funny americans yes well no it's actually not even from well you know what it is but there's like this ongoing kind of joke right now you know what you gotta know if you know you know it's like americans but africans it's just like an inner joke and caribbeans like it's just funny all right daddy so um basically we're gonna go wrap this up right now then yes let's do this yes let's do it covered and gone into the oven [Music] still never getting a wd-40 for that oven door getting another pan father yes all right because this my friend has got to be finished so that is how long does the lasagna have to stay in the oven well 45 minutes five to five minutes yeah so pretty much the same as like a regular meat one way yes okay all right so this is your second one that you're putting in yeah all right you guys so you heard it here 45 minutes for one that science lad what thing that did it you have to straighten it up the top one look it's flat and don't touch it with your hand please daddy come on i still feel like it's slack but all right faja all right we got what like 35 minutes left in this yes all right i can't wait to take it out doesn't it have to set set a little bit before you cut it though yes you can set it well no you you you never like to wait to see something set you just want to go right into it me tell you i've been doing this with you for for what almost two years now can you imagine mommy can you imagine that we've been doing this for almost two years now or just about two years coming april will be two years like where does the time go yeah i'm telling you holy moly yes well what can i do we can't stop the time can i stop the time just have to live it up the best you can all right well and live right yeah it was colbin yeah so basically it's we've been here as long as kovid has really been around yes look at that and now we have almost 300 k subscribers aka family members peace i think it's so rare to ever come across like a negative comment very rare though in the grand scheme of like everything like there's so much love from you guys and we just can't thank you
