something that you guys have been asking about for a very very very very very since the very beginning they've been asking i was always so shocked that people were asked i was like really like i thought it was play play things but it look like you guys are really serious about this one so daddy without further ado tell the people and when we are cooked today jamaican patty jamaican beef patties it's funny saying jamaican beef patties because i feel like people who are not japanese can always call it germany can i get a jamaican meat patty and like you could just say a party like please but uh we're definitely here to make some jamaican beef patties and without you know talking off your ears if you guys are new here welcome to the family daddy show them your love because they flow pony all-purpose flower one cup of butter one cup of butter do you have to have it chopped up like that or you fancy yes you can chop it up like this or you can grate it but to grate it you have to freeze it and grate all right so guys maybe just maybe just chop it up all right pour it in okay all right one tablespoon for one tablespoon of turmeric okay i guess that's what gives it the color because like i don't understand why you would ever use okay curry yes one tablespoon of curry one tablespoon of curry too and you know it's the better parkway i use okay better packing at the building teaspoon of salt okay okay baking powder baking powder almost one tablespoon one tablespoon of baking powder okay mix it up you're gonna use a fork to break down your your butter or you can use your hand if you want okay but you would have to wash your hand then make sure your hand is clean yeah you don't want dirty hands in the kitchen right no wait if you're new here we're big on washing our hands and our meat so go wash your hands you're a dirt bag go wash your eyes so you're breaking down all the butter yeah perfect okay i feel like i would do it with the fork too with your hands would be so messy now okay this is buttermilk butter milk and you can't use regular milk yes you can but the buttermilk can make it more flaky good all right guys you heard it here if you want a flaky beef patty like how we want it yeah if you use the butter milk via me are you gonna use the whole amount in there maybe so how do you know like what amount to use this is more than a cup it's about two cups about two cups okay so if we do more i have to add more okay well we'll watch and see so that's the whole point of this channel guys we're watching and we're learning you know it's not the typical channel we're spending some time with daddy in the kitchen and remember don't pour all of it in the flour one time little by little little by mark are you on refill duties in the fridge milk more floral okay so daddy basically just admitted that he overdid it okay so we're gonna add a little more flour to this because he thinks it's too soft not true that is all right you don't need a lot channel too you know because like you want to know how you can rectify an issue if you don't you know if you put a little too much like you don't want to be like damn like i just screwed everything up i'm going to blend it i gotta blend it in the blender okay you have some carrots okay uh chop up fine how much carrots they're just alpha carrot small carrot okay i have some garlic garlic i have some scratchy bun and pepper okay a small amount of ginger okay into the into the blender also yes i have some chopped onions chopped onions yes [Music] all right i have some green onions green you don't put the stock in it you don't take off the leaves okay let me see that again i missed that so that's what your time should look like when you're done because you just took off the leaves only okay okay okay i'm gonna put a tip of water in it okay that much super water not much okay i'm gonna blend it up [Music] so mix it up a little bit please don't put your spoon in the blender when it's going you don't want to do that to yourself see even safety [Music] [Music] that's how okay so now we're turning the pot on what is this it's on high yeah what kind of oil is this virgin olive oil okay all right so heat on high you guys and virgin olive oil do they have to use virgin olive oil or can they use they can use any other one okay i am using virgin olive oil okay all right now i'm gonna pour this in the aromas are about to be heavenly oh my gosh you guys if you could smell [Music] and you're this season it okay you're on my season i'm gonna put in it flavor rice black pepper garlic powder all purpose onion powder smooth paprika let's start with that smoked paprika you know paprika is that pretty girl pretty girl paprika you want all the smoke okay all right right because all the seasonings are already blended and so it just exploded when it got in the pot i think a teaspoon of onion powder a teaspoon of paprika teaspoon of onion powder you spoon it up on purpose teaspoon of all-purpose seasoning for all of the purposes teaspoon of garlic powder garlic powder another building where your meanwhile you're set teaspoon of black pepper black pepper you don't want to put too much black pepper because you have the sketch button here already danger okay you have to be very careful with the peppers guys unless you want it spicy like me and mark me and mark would like it spicy is that spicy can i eat it flavor rice oh that that the tablespoon look a little bigger than the rest of that yeah a tablespoon and a half i would say this about a teaspoon and a half you obviously have a favorite yes flavor rice is the teacher's pet of the um of the seasonings yeah mix it all up okay look at that look at that it's the aroma for me now i'm gonna turn it right back up to high yes i'm gonna add the seasoning okay i'm gonna yes i'm gonna see if this is my my beef okay teaspoon okay each teaspoon each of our seasonings teaspoon each you guys you heard it here teaspoon each of all the seasoning them full teaspoon you know a jamaican teaspoon our daddy's kitchen teaspoon flavor rice i'm telling you flavor rice owes us you know flavor rice with wet on the damn i tried finding them i can't find in a way on the day well i'll go out sure you know i would sell out the whole lot of flavor rice everywhere around the world all right use your wash hands and bring it all together okay now i'm gonna hide it from the ground always the people that can't always rush the tv mushroom this one is the mushroom flavored pearl pearl river bridge gotta have it you know browned up i put about two tablespoons of iced sauce okay so you know we know about that oyster sauce mark from our restaurant days it makes all the difference all right two tablespoons of oyster sauce guys you see you don't want to put two more sauce in your pot because the soy sauce and the ice sauce is salty okay and you know in daddy's kitchen and daddy's house we don't really mess with salt like that us and sodium it's not our thing it makes everything feel good shouldn't be yours either but you know what we digress we're not here today you don't judge me let people do what they do okay you can just suggest like right now this does not look appetizing at all i mean i'll bite piece of that right now yeah you're gross it's sound it looks so sloppy but i it's crazy because you know what it's about to become so you can't judge a book by its cover you know because lots of goodness there we go here we go oh my gosh museum i have a quick question for you guys we gotta ask we're gonna ask the audience a question while you make this ground beef come to life betty we wanna know how would you guys feel tell us in the comments write it down in the comments right now what if mark myself and maybe my other siblings started a channel where we ate daddy's food after he cooked it would you guys be interested in a potential channel a mukbang channel of us pretty much eating so it would literally just be next like right after daddy plates it we would then start filming our eating process around the dinner table you're such a genius daddy you're funny how would you guys how would you what is the goal here just to get it as flat as possible here you don't want it too thick okay but now what i'm gonna do all right buddy okay so this butter you said this freeze this butter okay i daddy what does this butter bean all over it do give it flavor and let it get flaky flaky okay and the shot isn't going to go in the tool so now you're using shortening yes this is soft so i just gonna dump it on over okay shortening you guys and he's just throwing it all over because it's soft and this is the shortening that he used everything all right crisco golden all vegetable shortening okay all right no okay that's the little chunks you see all over here they're gonna do you're gonna just fold over over it's getting soft interesting so because it's getting soft you're going to add a
