How to Hear God's Voice Clearly

hey everyone caroline roberts here and welcome back to my youtube channel in today's video we're going to be talking about how I learned to hear God's voice more clearly so if you're interested in watching more then definitely stay tuned [Music] today's video I'm gonna give you five quick tips on how you can learn to hear God's voice more clearly in your life now these are tips that I have used in my own personal walk with God and I have found them to be very helpful not only helpful but important so let's get started with number one one of the ways that you can grow to hear God's voice more clearly in your life is when you spend time with him with any relationship that you have quality time is going to be such an important element to making a relationship work when I think of my relationship with God and how I grow to hear his voice more clearly I think of all the other important relationships in my life like my relationship with my husband my relationship with my best friend I spend a lot of quality time with them I spend every day with my husband I'm intentional about going out of my way to make sure me and my best friend are reconnecting that we're talking and because I spend time with them quality time with them when they call out to me in a crowded room or in a crowded arena I am able to recognize their voice without even seeing them with my own eyes and in the same way when you spend time with God you will be able to recognize that still small voice as well number two another way to help you hear God more clearly is to get rid of all distractions sometimes you might be hearing god but you're confused because you're hearing God's voice in the midst of many other voices if you are hearing many different voices if you just have too much going on in your life you're too busy to spend time with him you're just distracted you know you have all these different theories and philosophies in your head then it's too noisy and all of the distractions in your life are drowning out the voice of God in your life so if you want to hear God more clearly look over your life and ask yourself what is truly supposed to be in my life what relationships are God sent and what relationships are distractions maybe you have a relationship with a friend and every time you want to spend time with thought every time you want to go to church they come and interrupt you or they come and tell you oh no let's do this instead you may not realize it but that person is sent as a distraction in your life so look over your life and look at the things that are distracting you maybe it's social media maybe you spend time listening to social media listening to preachers and pastors on social media that now their voice their Instagram posts have become your God and now you straight away from the actual voice of the Abba Father so make sure that you look over your life and if there are any distractions rid your life of those distractions so that you can hear God more clearly in your life number three I really love this tip this is one of my favorite tips and it really helps me to hear God more clearly and the third tip is sitting in silence sitting in silence sometimes we go to God in prayer and we're like I don't hear God God is not telling you what to do he's not giving me instruction but we spent our whole prayer time talking instead of listening and being silent sometimes we need to go to the prayer closet and instead of giving God our laundry list of prayer requests even though I know he wants you know to hear what's on our heart sometimes we need to just rest and be silent and really listen to what the voice of God is saying and speaking to us but if you're always talking if you're always giving God instructions of what you want him to do in your life then how are you going to receive instruction of what he wants to do in your life so take a moment of silence take a moment of meditation and reflection if you want go out to nature I know some people like to go out to nature to just reflect there's something about nature that just quiets your soul that silences your so land sometimes it's not even that we're quiet on the outside we have to learn how to be quiet on the inside because you could not be speaking physically but on the inside your heart your soul is filled with the cares of this world you're worried you're scared you're worried about how the rent is gonna get paid and what I like to do is when I come into God's presence I make sure that I journal so I put all my worries all my cares on paper the Bible says cast your cares upon me take my yoke for my yoke is easy and my burden is light Jesus doesn't want you to carry a heavy burden he doesn't want you to carry a heavy load but he wants you to lay those things at his feet silence your soul silence your heart and just sit before him and silence and listen I love this song that it says then it's also a verse and it says be still my soul be still be still my soul be still wait patiently upon the Lord be still my soul be still and I think that song is by Kerry Joe and that is so true sometimes we need to just be still and wait on God so that is my third tip of hearing God's voice more clearly my fourth tip of hearing God's voice more clearly is than foetida reading your Bible reading your word a lot of times people say God is not speaking I can't hear God but God is always speaking he is eternal he's been speaking he is speaking and he will continue to speak his word is eternal and it shall never pass away and this is hallelujah this is God's Word right here so if you have questions about life before googling it before asking someone else what they think about it this word has all the answers that you need I love this acronym that they have for the Bible basic instructions before leaving Earth the Bible has all instructions it covers so many topics that we go through in life so sometimes it's not that we're not hearing God it's that we are not taking the time to go into our word and really see what God has to say about a certain situation so if you do not have a Bible definitely get a Bible that you can read and understand below number five the fifth tip of how to hear God more clearly is to follow your peace and your convictions this is one way that my own mother when I was growing up she taught me of how to hear God's voice there's this still small voice on the inside of you and I remember when she taught me to follow my convictions follow my peace there would be some situations that I would get into you know growing up in school and there would be like a check in my spirit there would be something about it it doesn't sit well with me something about it is disturbing my peace and that checking your spirit that conviction that is the Holy Spirit speaking to you the world calls it your intuition but when you are walking with God it's not your intuition it is the Holy Spirit so following that peace do not ignore it some of us we have that feeling we know something's not right we feel that check in our spirit but we tend to ignore it because instead of walking by faith we're going according to our mind we're going according to what we think is right but the Bible says do not lean unto your own understanding the eye wants to direct your path so pray to Him don't rely on your own understanding but
