How To Find More Cloutium | Hydroneer

how you doing guys welcome to hydro near 2.0.6 and the six is important because things have changed dramatically if you haven't seen it there's a link in the description box below basically my breakdown of all the stuff that they've added changed fix and everything basically everything that most people were complaining about has been fixed up to this point which is great which means game has a good base but one thing changed and that one thing was this under changes this thing changed claudium ore can only be found under the ground now using drills uh will still spawn if you're panhandling so if you're panning and you're still and you're basically just underground panning it's all good you're still going to make your cat your claudium is all good but when it comes to actual drills this is where things are changing because the mechanics in the game have changed to make you have a little bit more of a more mining experience obviously this means i have to test this now what we have is that we have three drills on each tier of dirt well when i say tier i mean more level the reason why i'm doing this is because well i want to prove how far down you have to dig in order for you to actually get cloutium out of the ground so we've gone with our above build our actual ground level right at the bottom of ground level going down to floor two and into floor two's deeper section as well so we're covering quite a lot of ground in quite a small area which is something that i sort of like i want to start doing if i'm doing a test has to be done properly from now on so that's why i'm doing with this we're actually what i'm going to do is i'm just going to run it i'm not going to run it for any specific amount of time i'm just going to run it and then when i come back i don't want to see in cloutium in the first in those first three rows if there if there is cloud him in that first three rows then we've got a problem basically but if everything works right this should technically work and we should all be good so yeah i'm gonna run this for a little while on my own you guys will skip this don't worry it's all good and um from now on this is how i'm doing stuff i don't need to do this by time i just need to do this by for a stupid amount of whatever i'm doing in my brain and then making sure that everything's coming out completely fine and everything i mean this is literally why i do i do testing number one i get to build and i get to think a little bit out of the box on how to do stuff on different layers and how to do this but it also gives me a fulfilling i'm actually helping the community a little bit by oh i didn't plug in the water down there oh that's bad give me a second so i'm just gonna let that run what i'll do is i'll probably just be cleaning things up because i've got loads of stuff laying around genuinely i just need to like make sure where i know where all my stuff is now but yeah i'm gonna leave that running i'll come and talk to you in a bit welcome back now for you it's probably just been the snap of a finger for me i've been sitting here for about half an hour in all honesty i tied it up a little bit i've i've reconnected some piping you know just doing ground work in in the lab so lab is are falling apart now they're telling me i was i'm going to have to reset soon anyways so going into the whole claudium thing because of that one thing that claudium can only be like drilled at a specific depth it's why i created this monstrosity of a build i gotta be honest i actually like this it's not a bad looking build but when it comes to it it all comes down to what you're gonna be doing when it comes to your builds now so obviously up here this is above ground level this is ground level this one here is still technically ground level and i'll explain it in a minute and then these two down here are underground all right so i've put the bricks here because this shows you what i mean by levels so this is ground floor there's there's one here so ground floor is in line with the ground and these drills here are in that ground level because the dirt is actually above this line and this is where it gets more interesting when you come to like actually testing things and understanding where you have to put your drills in order for them to actually work properly okay so this one here is above ground level where it's in ground level but that means it is in this section for dirt it means up here you won't get any clouds in and i'll show you the results in a minute they're quite interesting this one here is below ground level this is actually in this section here so in this build in this square at this level which is one square down in here is where your actual dirt starts producing claudium not here not anywhere in here if you put dirt on top of this square you're still in this block which means you won't get the claudium which is why that one isn't producing claudium and obviously this one down here is producing cloutin now what this means is that in order for you to get a proper decent amount of cloud team you have to go down a little bit further now into the actual ground which means you're going to have to start manually digging or raking things like that now that's how i did this so up here we have no claudium we have very little everything it's all a little bit i'm still not sure why this is work this was working right anyways there we go it doesn't actually matter about what's going into and what's not i'm um we'll get there but up here above this floor now above ground floor you will not get a single piece of claudium on ground level that's actually just rolled out the back of this that's because that's stupid as well so on this this is ground level that's where this drill is it's literally lit i like above ground we can test that by looking in this critical and there is no cloutium so this drill here this is technically on ground level which is this level here so putting dirt on this section you're not getting any cloudy on we're into the more interesting part of this build the more interesting part is actually this square here now because we are in this square because our dirt is now sitting on that concrete block which is on this concrete block here because we're on that concrete block this is registered as being underground so in order for you to dig your drill down you have to put a drill literally into the floor let me just pull up a drill for like size referencing so in order for you to make claudium off of your drill you literally have to dig down two squares and put the drill at that level all right this means that you cannot lo no you can no longer build something like this 240 drills you will not find claudium all right and the reason why is because of this new rule of how cloud team is found so this for me is literally just a test bench on how well the game runs getting cloutium now everything has to be down here two squares down so one two when you're on square number three which is this one and this one these will run claudium like i said i've been running this build for around half an hour 40 minutes now and those two are the only ones without you in it which means if you're going to build a tier 1 build and you want that precious cloud team for your tier 2 drills you've got to go deeper now and i hope that helps you because in fairness this was one of those things as soon as it got announced i was like okay how's this going to mess people up and uh yeah it's an interesting it's an interesting one it really is and uh just make sure you're going deep enough and always carry concrete blocks with you for measurements or if you're just going to put a drill down for measurements you have to sink the whole drill so this part of the drill the actual top end is level with ground floor everything else below it where the thumper actually hits has to be on the third block now because these two blocks don't get cloudy apart for now i want to say thank you very much for kicking by i hope this has answered some of those questions if you've got anything else
