welcome to the anything-goes project I'm Mike Simon's your host today we're going to be showing you some video editing techniques using the SDC pro which is a free program that you can download online however we do suggest that you go ahead and get the subscription it's only nineteen dollars a year but with that we're going to be showing you the editing techniques that we use for the video audio and putting up the graphics as well so with that guys stay tuned and if you're new to the show go ahead and hit that subscribe button [Music] guys welcome back to the show today we're going to be showing you how to use the V SDC program we're doing it on the microphones headphones and everything like that we're actually in my studio doing it this is how I would actually use this software so with that let's transition over and check out the actual program so as you can see we are now on my desktop and I'm going to go ahead and launch VST C since I have it already open the first thing that you're going to want to do is create a blank project so you hit the blank project opens up and you're gonna name it so we'll call this V is DC tutorial so we have all of that done and you can go ahead and put in your author publisher all of that stuff and if that's what you want to do so hit finish and it's going to bring you into the main portion of the program as you can see this is where your video window is going to be and over here on the side these are where you upload your different things you've got your video music like a picture background and those types of things and then up here you have where you can actually insert your text you guys have seen the text that we use so we're gonna go ahead and get started the first thing we're going to do is import our video as you can see I've already downloaded the videos to a folder on my desktop and we're gonna call it YouTube channel where did I put a VST see tutorial so the first video clip that we're going to actually bring in is going to be what we're using for the introduction it's a super simple you click it and it'll import and ask you where you want it to start from start from the beginning there we go as you can see my video is there so you can see me setting up the camera there we go and pause we're gonna pause it right here because this is kind of where I'm starting you can actually hear a little go back and actually press play again and you can hear where I'm starting welcome to the anything-goes project so the reason I say we press pause right here is because this is where we're going to put a cut and up here at the top if you're in your editor mode because you got project scenes edit view editor edit an editor or two different functions so you want to be an editor and if you scroll right here you'll see this little razor blade hit that razor blade and you'll notice what happens down here in the bottom it splits it so now you can take this first part where it's just you setting up your camera or whatever it is that you're doing and just go ahead and delete that and now you can move your cursor over and you can actually bring that back down slide your video over and now watch welcome to the anything-goes project I'm Mike Simon's your host today we're going to be showing you some video editing techniques using VSD c Pro which is a free program that you can download online however we do suggest that you go ahead and get the subscription ok so as you can see we already have the video kind of there so now generally what I like to do at this point I'm gonna scroll over here to the end and I'm gonna try to find my end point that subscribe button and that's gonna be my end point so I'll hit another razor blade it's gonna split that video again I can take this ending delete it and then I can come all the way back up here to the front and we'll just have to go through the video itself and we're going to be listening for our cues where we're gonna be putting in our texts our graphics the subscribe button things like that so we go through welcome to the anything good well right off the bat I'm going to want to have my text so we click on text which is right over here and I want it at the cursor point so I'm going to you see drawing my window that's where I want my text so this is gonna be any thing goes project and you can kind of see right now it's white well I don't want it white so highlight that come up here to the top while you're still in editor and you'll see your text well I like to use yellow and I want my background to be black and now we come over here and we fit to height or fit to width whichever one works better and there we go now you can see when we first start the video back up again it's gonna be welcome to the anything-goes project I'm Mike Simon's your host today we're going to be so right about there is where I want to end my text I want my text to leave be gone with you so I'm going to come down here to where the text is you see it right here I'm gonna grab the end of it and I'm gonna drag it right there so now you'll see my text is linked to the anything-goes project I'm Mike Simon's your host today we're going to be showing you some okay so now that your text is gone we're going to be looking at some of the other functions that we using okay so right about there let's back that up a little bit so you can see using so right there that's where I want to have using V SGC Pro so we'll do another little text box text start at the cursor and I want to put it right here v/s oops DC video editor so if you'll notice right now it's not quite fit so we just go over here and we hit fit to width and I can adjust this box you can do this and then I can come over here and make them do that so generally I don't like my these pieces to be very long so I shorten it up but if you come over here to the side panel this gives you how long you want it to be so the duration on this I would like to keep it at about four seconds so now we watch what happens the SDC probe which is a free program that you can download online however we do suggest that you go ahead and get the subscription it's only nineteen dollars a year but with that we're going to be showing you the editing techniques that we use for the video audio and putting up the graphics as well so with that guys stay tuned and you'll notice right here I'm pausing it because this is about the point that I'm going to put drop in my hey guys if you like the video subscribe to it so I'm going to go fetch that file it is will you go back to add video and I believe I have it in downloads now the interesting thing about this little subscribe button is you can get these online YouTube there are several creators that have put them up just created a little green screen background YouTube click buttons and so on and they're royalty-free so you're allowed to use them and you just have to download it and use it so at this point you see it right here I'm going to click and it's gonna ask me where do I want to put it oops nope so let's get this out of the way and let's go back and find her spot I'm sorry I forgot to click on where I was with something with that guys stay tuned and if you're new to this show so I'm gonna go back here so with that guy right there that's about where I want that so now you'll see it's a big green screen and this is where I was talking about you want to use the chroma key feature which is the green screen background so let's just drag this cursor over because I want to get all of this in it and I'm gonna come over here and I'm gonna hit crop the borders I'm gonna crop that crop that crop that and then move it over here and then crop that and hit OK now you see it's still kind of big but now you can adjust it and we will just drop that baby right there now we're gonna go and cut the end of that because I've there's about three of them on this one so I want it right about there when the button goes away and right there now since I'm highlighting on this short little video clip I've got it's going to do the split when I hit the razorblade split now I can take this portion here delete it and now I can come over here back to this and click on that function again and over here I'm going to do video effects transparency background remover and I'm going to click OK and I'm gonna go ahead and drag this for the full length of the clip and over here to the side on your properties window you'll see this little looks like a little plunger so you click that come over here do that and there it is so now we're gonna go back to our scene and let's adjust that click part putting up the graphics as well so with that guys stay tuned and if you're new to the show go ahead and hit them so hit the subscribe button right about that's about where I want it because you know that's if you look at the video that's bright about the point I'm saying hit the subscribe button so see the little fingers it's already on it and you can see the finger is right there on the subscribe button ready to go now you'll notice that this little audio this little video for the subscribe button had some loud audio's in it so we're gonna go ahead and drop the audio on that and for this particular one you go over here back to the properties window you go to your audio volume and you can - that and for this particular clip I have to - it 30 decibels and now you'll see when we go to the beginning of it watch again you tuned and if you're new to this show go ahead and hit that subscribe button there we go so that's kind of how you set up that now for the fun part we've got to add music because our intro we want it to be interesting we want to have something going on other than just the the stuff going in and out we want it to have like music so if you'll come over here to the left of your VSD c window you'll see your video add sound so i'm gonna click that and it's gonna take me over to my downloads document and i'm going to click the audio i want to use what i wanted at the beginning of the cursor so no put it right there underneath everything and now listen okay you'll notice it that is a little bit loud we don't want it that loud but before we do that i need to make one small adjustment we need to come down here to the end and find where the end of our video is right about here okay and since now i'm still highlighted on the audio i can use the razorblade function here - and split that split you'll notice it dropped the split mark into the audio well the front part over where I'm talking we don't want that so loud so let's click on that and we can drop the audio volume to about I believe I use 24 or 20 in this one so let's check the 20 and see what it looks like welcome to the anything-goes project I'm Mike Simon's your host today we're going to be showing you some twenty is just perfect it sounds good you've still got a little bit of music into the background and it doesn't bleed in over you talking so we use 20 now this back portion you'll notice is gonna be amped up still so watch okay so now here's the point where we got the jump cut you know when you've seen some of my videos it's got the cameras and all that stuff I've already created a jump cut video file so this is what we need to go look for so we go over to video and I'm gonna come back over here to my desktop to my YouTube channel and I'm gonna go down to review jump cut and then boom every all the way at the bottom there's my jump cut videos so I might click it add it and it added it to the end I can go ahead and slide that baby right there so if you'll watch this is what it now looks like and then it fades out and I usually drag my music out just a little bit past it so right there that's where I want it so now I'm gonna click back on this audio file that's to the right of the first one that we edited and I'm going to hit the razorblade again now it's two files so now I'm gonna click on the last one and I'm going to delete it simple now I'm gonna take that audio file and watch this click right-click on it I'm gonna go to audio effects amplitude I gotta get them both I gotta get in just that one audio file right click audio effects amplitude fade-out and there we go it's faded out back to the scene and here we go we're gonna start it right about here so you can hear it fade out there we go it faded out so basically this is a real simple quick tutorial on editing video you can use these techniques throughout your entire editing process we could even go a step further if we wanted to and right here where it says vs DC we can actually add some like some sound effects like when it whips in or whips out we'll go ahead and do that right now so we'll go over here to music and where I've got my stuff on my external hard drive external I'm gonna go to show folder and sound effects now you'll see I've got a bunch of them but here is the whip swish and I'm gonna click OK put it at the end of the file which is fine but I'm going to actually come over here and hit the plus C and going to that and line it up there now watch this I can double click or just single click and copy it and paste it so now I have two of those files so I'm gonna grab the bottom one I'm gonna drag that one right here now watch the interesting effect that we have when this happens using ES DC Pro which is a women that you can download online however and it's gone just that you go ahead these are sound effects and stuff and the reason we add stuff like that is because it draws the viewer in to actually enjoy your video so here we are this is how it easy it is and once again I'm going to back it out real quick we're gonna drop this down and we'll come over here to Google and open a new window and watch the s T keep going c d vs d c vs d c free software audio and video ok it's free it's free for you to use and adobe i'm not sure what adobe premiere is a lot of youtubers use that but i know it's high dollar and you have to pay monthly vs DC is a simple software it's very similar to Adobe it's easy to use and the full version which comes with tech support is only nineteen dollars a year so guys if you're starting your YouTube channel from scratch you can't beat this so with that guys we're gonna jump back over to the outro and with that we're out of here peace out and we are back and I want to thank you for tuning in today to actually watch our short tutorial video on how to use vs DC pro we do suggest getting the $19 per year version because it does add a few extra features such as if you're using a green screen it gives you extra chroma keys to where you can actually pick and choose the color schemes that you want to use to bring out in the green screen so with that being said today's video was part of our Creator series we just wanted to bring this to you to show you that you as a new YouTube creator have alternatives rather than these high dollar expensive pieces of software to get you started some of that guys if you're new to the show we just want to thank you for tuning in today go ahead and hit that subscribe button if you liked the video hit the like and - the rest of you guys who want to thank you for joining us today you are part of our Creator community and we are we just love the fact that you are joining us here on our channel so with that guys
