but this thing's gonna push that ball a little better than my 200 did all right all right let's just start off with the fishing rod here this right here is a medium action rod it's 74 that's pretty stout it takes 30 to 50 pound braid or 20 to 30 pound monofilament alright you really want to have a backbone rod that could be you know pick whatever rod you want this I believe is a Sica blank you want to have a beefy rod to be able to stop a flutie pound bass going into some heavy structure right so people ask me why am I always got monofilament with these setups and it's pretty simple in structure you cannot allow that line to hit a rock all right these rocks and coveted mussels and very abrasive materials and that braid hits it and nicks it and it's over any pull on that line is gonna snap that braid you lose the fish you lose your leader you lose everything all right so let's go on take a peek at this real right now what we got all right this right here is an SG it's a Sigler it has the 30 pound test so it's got a ton of 30 pound test two small games have tons of 30 pound test time all right that's what's gonna happen we leave that bail open and that rods gonna take off like that okay this is what I use for all best this there's not really a fish up the North East that this thing's not gonna be able and all right but as far as stripe is and I'm putting a fifty pound class fish this is gonna be able to do it without any questions gonna have enough line capacity to do it too all right so that's the real and the right again is a 7-foot medium action that can hand a 20 to 30 pound monofilament that's what you need to know there are tons of manufacturers out there fishing rods 250 built here okay just make sure again it falls within the parameter you know keep wrapping it make sure you wrap it true I'd like to show you how I'm wrapping the true that they're not going over each other keep going maybe I can show you better that I wrap it like 11 times on it it's coming up a leader to a fish finder rig and six or eight ounce sinker lays on the seafloor just like you see it like that so it's gonna happen now let's put I'm going to lock this with my pinky here the fish finder because that's gonna hold a lot that's gonna be on the floor at the eight ounce sinker and what's gonna happen is that fish now is gonna take off without any resistance it's not gonna know you there you're gonna hear the click it go off as it's taking off get to that fishing rod as fast as possible disengage the clicker now you have a really true pull with no sign that that fish knows you're even there you're gonna let that fish run they'll pick it up sometimes it's gonna run stop he's gonna pick it up again and you gonna take both eyes he's keeping himself to the second run over the first one if he's really running like you means it you're just gonna engage all right you're just gonna engage make sure you're thumbing it though so you're gonna just engage that rod boom go to strike on your level drags and then what you're gonna do is you're just gonna start reeling and loading that rod all right you're gonna point that rod at that fish's he's taken off all right engage reel as you're reeling turn the rod tip from the point and just walk it across to I guess we'd beat three o'clock all right so he's taken off you're doing that you're reeling real fast and you're loading that rod and what's gonna happen is that rods just gonna Bend you're gonna feel that fish on it and you're gonna know he's on it cause she's gonna stop pumping you once you pumps you from three o'clock you can come right back now as the fish gets closer to the boat in these big or she's big make that you can just kind of come off of that Driggs just a little bit so you don't pull the hook next to the boat all right all right make sure you look at that video of the drag I set up you want to make sure your drag is accurate and then as you get closer to that bow you still even want to come off just a hair off of that drag alright and if they were begin there make sure you throw the clicker on all right so if they do screw something up and disengage it won't backlash on
