How Asmongold Raised $370K for Charity By Taking a SHOWER

i have never eaten a salad before in my life i really thought i was about to die if i ate nuggets i'd be doing 50 right now all cleaned up i swear sup y'all it's me it's your boy asmingold gentlemen today i have a very special event planned today we are going to be doing a charity boys i've got a lot of stuff planned for today the charity that we're going to be working with is called games for love is guess what it does it helps kids and you know how it helps kids it helps kids the same way that a lot of you guys are probably helping yourself right now it distracts them from the fact that they're in the [ __ ] hospital because we're giving them video games to distract themselves with so anyway we set up this this is basically the exact same setup we had last time why the [ __ ] do we already raise a thousand dollars how do we already raise a thousand dollars how's that even what so um basically uh we have a few different goals here um the the 50k uh they agreed to have me eat a salad on stream i i will eat a salad on stream if we hit 50 000 and i am kind of uh worried about that because i've never eaten a salad and honestly the main reason why i'm worried about eating a salad on stream is that if i do that i'm pretty sure i'm gonna get banned for self-harm so first thing what's for 150k um i was explicitly told that i could not say uh i will say i'm not going to shave my head 150 i will write that off because i don't want people to feel like they've been uh deceived that that is not it not it no no no no no no no no no that is not happening okay guys what happens if i shave my head and it doesn't grow back now i have two different levels of anxiety about this okay so the first level of anxiety that i have about it is the fact that the hair won't grow back and now i'm worried that it'll grow back and it'll be gray and understand that 69.69 nobody donated 69.69 what do you mean let me see what the [ __ ] holy [ __ ] oh my god i have to go down and sharp ones to eat meat and pop one of the tomatoes i will eat listen i know you guys want more i know you guys i'm genuinely not faking this like i actually have never eaten a salad before in my entire life i don't eat anything green do you want me to call my mother and have her confirm that fine fine [ __ ] you y'all i can't i'm i'm pissed off y'all thinking i [ __ ] fake this dude hi you're not it was quite a bit worse than the salad just happened yep so no green things basically and that's what i've always told you i said blue things taste good green things taste bad i don't know if you know this or not the grips are actually corn and you do eat grits but they're pulverized so it's not really the same thing at that point no no okay yeah so i just want i'm glad thank you i i long um my self-esteem got so low that it started getting hot it started getting high it's like uh like a horseshoe you know went low and then it started going back up and then you guys actually helped me get more self-esteem because not because i felt better about myself because i didn't care anymore let me wash my hair there we go oh that's good i hate getting water in my eyes that's the worst thing man that's the absolute worst thing oh there we go i should have changed my pants for this but i should be all right ah okay using soap i don't really like using these uh i don't like I never would have thought my own personal past time to watch is affected. Asmongold is known for playing World of Warcraft on Twitch. He is one of the biggest streamers on the platform averaging 40-120k viewers depending on the event.

I clicked on his video today thinking I was going to see some humor made for the lonely and bored but instead I see him showering because he was raising money. Not only was I impressed that he broke his body dysmorphia and showered in front of tens of thousands of people, but the fact that it was for charity makes this so wholesome.

During the shower, you can tell the insecurities kick in because of the constant movements. I've been through it myself, the constant thoughts running through your head. The fear that people will never see you as normal or anything more than different. Although you could tell he was nervous, he kept his composure fairly well. The video is linked to the point where he was talking about feeling insecure and that his viewers only made it worst. Asmongolds chat consists of a lot of trolls but when he asked for their thanks at the end, they gave them every thank they could.

I think this is wonderful.

People without Pectus wouldn't even be able to fathom how brave Asmongold was. It takes a lot to break out of your bubble and allow people to see the real you. I bet Asmongold felt drained after and I hope he knows that he has only done great for this world.

The youtube video is almost at 100k views and I think that any amount of awareness to pectus is great. I wanna say thank you to u/Asmongold.
