good day everyone here's how to fight the New Hollow Cyclops in Ed the Cyclops has five different attacks a vertical smash a horizontal slash combo a piercing thrust combo a Stomp and an arrow of effect knockup the vertical smash is telegraphed by the Cyclops equipping a hammer and raising it in two hands over the head then slamming it down in a straight line This attack cannot be blocked you will take full damage the attack can however be easily dodged sideways which is the most effective way to avoid the attack you can Dodge forward or back if you are far enough in or out but I'd recommend just dodging to the side for consistency the horizontal slash is telegraphed by the Cyclops equipping a sword in its right hand and raising it all the way back to its left shoulder ready to swing the Cyclops always does two slashes back and forth the slash attack cannot be blocked at all you will take full damage if you are close enough to the Cyclops feet you can dodge forward and avoid the two slashes entirely and if you're far enough away you might be able to dodge back but it has a pretty long reach to consistently Dodge this you need to understand that each slash has a different hit box which took me a bit to work out the first slash can't be dodged sideways at all but the second slash can be dodged and the first slash can be jumped but the second slash can't be so jump the first and Dodge into the second I think this is the intended way to deal with this attack in terms of timing I had the most success jumping and dodging slightly earlier than I thought the ey frame on the Dodge takes a moment to kick in you can't Dodge at the very last moment I found if you struggle with these hugging the feet to avoid it entirely might give you the most success the only caveat is that if you are already up under its feet don't try to jump because then you will get hit the piercing thrusts are telegraphed by the Cyclops equipping a dagger in each hand and leaning forward a little it will then do three piercing thrusts while stepping forward this attack can and should be blocked it is the only blockable attack simply block and walk forward a little generally only the first or second thrust will connect and you can just walk under its feet and reposition do not try to dodge sideways or backwards the attack will track you and hit you if you are really close as it starts you can dodge forward the stomp looks like a Stomp the Cyclops raises its left leg and Stomps this only seems to trigger when hanging around under its feet and is simply a way to stop us camping underneath the entire time you can't block The Stomp simply Dodge away in any direction finally the area of effect is indicated by the Cyclops raising its right hand in the air with a big green Fireball and the Very obvious ground animation this attack actually doesn't do any damage it simply knocks you way into the air and you can glide to break your fall I guess if you have to have zero stamina you might take fall damage and die but that's unlikely this is the easiest one to deal with and that's it if this helped please like And subscribe for more thanks for listening everyone cheers
