hello and welcome back to another hearts of iron 4 video so today as you saw on the title this is going to be the japan world conquest series remade part one so uh yeah this is gonna replace the other one that i did i don't know four months ago um i deleted the save game i had mentioned this in one of the previous videos a while back but i deleted that saved game so i couldn't even continue episode two if i wanted to and there was some stuff that i wanted to change i think i have a better strategy for going about this that makes japan into a super country so anyways without further ado let's get right into it okay so first things first here uh japan pretty fun country to play um just so you're aware you do need the dlc to follow along with this guide you could probably try and do the same thing um the only problem is one of the focuses that we're going to be doing later on which is over here secure the philippines i'm not 100 certain i don't think japan has this in the vanilla game that's just why i'm mentioning it you would need uh waking the tiger just so that you guys are aware but um the bulk of you are probably going to have that already so it's not really a big problem uh anyways first things first national focus treat we're going to go with purge the kodaha faction gains 10 stability so that's kind of nice although you're already almost at maximum so it doesn't really do a whole lot for us for research slots which is great we're going to go with our mechanical engineering so we get our research speed up get that basic machine tools out of the way for production efficiency construction speed here with construction one and then in my previous games i've gone ahead and done weapons and equipment at the start i don't really think that's the best way of utilizing my research because i don't need this for um about two years we're not going to be getting into war so i think the better way of doing this would be maybe to get my land doctrine out of the way question mark um so i'm just gonna go with superior firepower for japan i don't really like the grand battle plan doctrine for what we're doing so i think it's just better to switch over now is that 199 days that seems really long okay you know what i don't want to do that either okay you know what we'll just go with artillery it's 132. it's not quite as bad and then we're just going to go over here and we're going to build up just a few sieves only a couple so we're just going to put them in these two regions and then from there we're just going to go mills because obviously we need supply for all of our troops then with our factory count here what i like to do is i get 10 onto my infantry equipment i find that's a pretty good balance we want to bump the support equipment up as well just a tiny bit we're going to cancel the fighters just for now and then we'll go something like this with artillery i might even change that take just one off of here and make it nine and then go four on artillery and then we're just going to hold shift and click on the troops at the top right click to make that army group and then we'll just put a fallback line over here if you set a front line the troops won't really move so that also guarantees all the troops on these little islands everywhere they will actually move towards the territory so just a few more details to run through really quickly here um for our strategy what we're going to be doing is actually ignoring the war with japan or japan ignoring the war with china and that way we don't have to get involved in a war early on it actually just allows us to continue building up our army over the course of about a year year and a half depending on how many more extra national focuses we do and then we can finish the war against the united states as early as possible they're the first country that we're going to attack the best thing is though they won't join the allies faction so you can just finish the war off then you can come back and defeat china later on it does make the war a little more drawn out there but once the usa and china are both defeated at that point you'll have plenty of factories all the resources you could ever want in the world and then you can help the germans defeat the uk so that's basically how it's going to go i'm thinking it'll probably just be two episodes to get this done so the first one today i will be covering the united states and china and then probably just the uk and the last one or i might even just make today's video the usa only just depends on timing so anyways just thought i'd throw that out there i'm going to wait 70 days and i will be back when that national focus is completed alrighty so next national focus here we have finished purge the kodaha faction so we're going to guide the zeibat zoos this one just gives us five factory output five military construction speed and two civilian factories i like this one a lot because you can then go down here you can work for your national mobilization law which gives you obviously war economy you get a bonus research slot some mills and sieves and then you can go to the national defense state to get that total mobilization which is huge uh so we're going to finish this one first it helps us the most and from there there's nothing else that really needs to be done for right now i just thought i'd make a mention of it though your navy um so basically just finish off all of these ships that you have in here and then what you're also gonna do is just cancel this early heavy ship haul it's kind of useless and doesn't do anything for us we're gonna drop that down to one because we are gonna finish this we're gonna drop that down to one as well and then everything else will just finish like normal so as you get these factories focus on the submarines first because they'll help you or sorry they can be finished the fastest and then work up towards the destroyers finish those and then finish the heavy ships and whatnot afterwards but for today i'm basically just going to produce more submarines once these all finish the 1936 models just get some navy experience by training your ships and then use the 1936 model that way you'll just have a sizeable submarine fleet by the time we're ready to attack the united states the date is now may 22nd 1936. now the national focus is completed that was guide the zabatsu's so what we're going to do next is the national mobilization law followed by the liaison conference just increases planning on your leaders and switches to war economy so i'm just gonna get those two out of the way um obviously focus on the one that switches to war economy because that'll just help you with your construction the fastest um and then here just on factories i've increased my guns up to 10 now because we did have one more from that last one and then i'm gonna put one onto artillery as well that way it's up to five ten two and one here and then obviously production is the exact same on our navies as for research itself i finished mechanical engineering so i'm doing mechanical computing now and then we finished this one here i believe that was the artillery so i switched it over to my basic weapons and equipment and then what was the other one we had i was this one here so i finished the basic machine tools so i'm going with dispersed industry this is pretty good for japan especially because you reduce um bomb vulnerability which the united states does actually like to use once the war gets later on but obviously we're not going to really struggle with that with today the main reason why i'm using it is because we finish our war against the us so early in the game our factory count is dramatically increased so therefore it puts us in a much better position to have a large factory count and obviously with that you're going to be producing a whole lot of different stuff and upgrading it so just by having dispersed we help ourselves out the most in the long run if i was going for a more slow campaign and i didn't really care about the united states i would just go with concentrated so just throwing that out there the other thing i didn't even mention at the start of the beginning is that we're gonna be doing some achievements today i could have earned these the other day when i was doing my guides and just practicing but um i figured i would save them for today because i always have the achievements done when i show them my videos and that's just no fun so i thought for today i would actually show myself earning some of them although i don't even think i don't even know if we're gonna be able to do any of these in part one part two i'll be able to but um not for today just because we have to do all this different stuff so um the two achievements though are sunrise invasion and then tojo touhou shot first so they're pretty difficult if you don't know what you're doing but a lot of fun and i think they are really good achievements to actually try and earn so anyways i will be back when i have those two national focuses finished and we'll continue from there okay so we finished two national focuses that was national mobilization law and the liaison conference so the next one that we're going to complete here is the army expansion law that just gives us 30 army experience so we can change up our templates just a little bit and then from there we're pretty much just going to go straight down to secure the philippines now i'm going to check back in just for research and the advisors along the way but that's pretty much all we're going to be doing in preparation for the war against the united states we want to try and start it as soon as possible um because that just limits them and their actions so the next one like i said is just army expansion law and then i'll come back once i've completed maybe the east asian co-prosperity sphere and we'll continue from there so i'm just going to complete this one right now and then for political power i already selected one advisor and it was my silent workhorse right here that way we just get extra political power every single day next one we're going to go with though is the military high command because we want to try and get as many of these as we can along with the chief of army because that's going to help our troops out the most against the americans my personal favorites though infantry expert the army logistics expert drops your attrition which is really helpful and then from there typically i like picking one of the naval guys but for the most part i would usually pick my chief of army first because again we can get five percent division attack then i can get the division attrition um and then at the end i'll pick the last military high command so that's pretty much it otherwise none of these other advisors are particularly useful except for maybe a prince of terror but that's more for later on in the game as we start conquering a bunch of territories so i really did that i will be back in 140 days cool so i will see you guys shortly okay so i'm not completely finished my national focuses yet there's still another 40 days almost in this one so i'm just going to tell you i'm going to do the tripart pact next or i might even just nationalize the war industry to get some extra civilian and mills but i'm not quite decided on that yet either one of these is fine though if you're only 70 days off from where i'm at in the video you're not going to be missing out on much so don't feel like it's absolutely necessary to follow along 100 of the way but if you do more than one extra if you're doing two possibly even three at the most that's when you can start to get into some problems just because you're going to be pushing the war date so far back that there's a chance the americans will join the allies so just keep that in mind but anyways research i finished off the computing here so i'm doing my radio i finished off production for machine tools here so we're going to do the dispersed industry 2 construction 2 and then i have another slot available so i want to show you right now you're going to want to take all of your navy and throw it into one group so the way you do that is you would just select something and then you hit select all for the actual leader down there and then when they're all together into one just hit merge and then you can assign the top guy right here and then you're going to want to start training them the reason we're doing this is because there's a few things we want to research and it's over here in your navel tab is right down near the bottom and that is fire control methods and damage control these are two of the best researches that you can complete for your ships these other ones are helpful but not quite as good because if you look here you get five percent on battleships and battle cruisers then here you get 10 and five at the bottom and then on the last one you get 15 10 and five this boosts your ship's capabilities up dramatically and then if you combine that with damage control your chance of receiving a critical hit has dropped almost it's dropped 30 by the end and then if you get a critical hit it's reduced the effects of it by 30 percent so very good at helping your ship survive in combat and then right here is just a dead giveaway it makes them into absolute tanks when it comes to dealing damage so very helpful because the united states does have a larger navy although typically in this game the americans for whatever reason don't deploy any of their really big ships out in the oceans near japan nor along their coastline so this is better suited for your uh naval plans against the uk you're probably gonna face a tougher challenge with them so this just makes everything a little better the other nice thing is because you're completing these in a sense it makes your early ship models last longer because without it 30 increase in attack makes it fairly comparable to the later models i'm not saying it's the exact same obviously there's still other benefits that go into this but if you have a decision between just researching a new model and then implementing it meaning it's going to be in the field a lot later or you could just research those and make these last way way farther into the future so um that's why we're doing the training that way you can use the experience and get these done in about 60 and yeah 60 days for each so just goes a lot faster and you'll have a few of them done by the time the work kicks off so i'm gonna just yeah i should research something so i'm just gonna do something else maybe even just this for later on 43 days isn't too bad um just thought i'd throw that in there so the sooner you get this started the better july 14 1937 i finished the strike south doctrine as well as sign tripar pact so the last two that we need to do here are the non-aggression pact with the soviet union and then secure the philippines so just going to get that one started right now as for research this is where everything is at so here is my industry engineering is up to here air doctrine we haven't touched in naval really not much probably going to try and use one of these bonuses as soon as i can um and then i wasn't able to get any more done right now problem is once you run out of oil you don't get as much experience every day because you can't train all the ships at once but not a big loss land doctrine somehow i didn't finish it so that'll be done somewhat soon and then artillery is just up to this point supports i'm doing logistics right now and then i've got my engineer weapons and equipment 2 on the way so just getting that done right now and then for advisors just to show it i have division attrition infantry attack and defense as well as division attack and then still the political power gain every day uh still haven't really decided what i wanted to pick here i'm thinking maybe just the capital ships specialist because that'll just help us with dealing out a lot of damage but i'll decide that probably later on as time goes by otherwise there's not much else to really do here i do have some army experience though so i'm going to change my divisions right now so for these ones right here the weaker ones this is what we're going to focus on first so we're going to throw in some artillery make those into 15s and then one infantry so that way you get it seven one not great not horrible we're gonna make that average so that way they still get good equipment and then we're just going to change the icon into these skulls pick whatever you would like though 17 combat width not ideal but not bad either just because we don't want to throw away all of our artillery that would create problems for us if we did so we're just going to save that and then we'll go to this one up here i should have made a duplicate of that damn it so we'll save this one at least to make a duplicate and this one we're just going to throw some artillery into so you can see we still have a whole bunch and then same thing here i don't even know how many of these we have in the field right now but these make them into 30 widths again it's not where we want it but it's not really going to be too bad either and we can actually go back here oh wrong one and we can change this into support artillery and that'll just bump the stats just a little bit so just helps you out and that's pretty much it so we're also just going to take these guys now throw them into one group right there we'll take the other 15 which are the better divisions i think if we go ahead and switch it yeah it's this one right here we need one thousand okay perfect we have enough so now we're going to take this guy and we'll throw the best leader on and then we'll take the second one right here actually we might just take this guy reconnaissance promotion no this guy's the best and then for the remaining 15 which is just cavalry and a mix of tanks and whatnot we'll just go right here this guy's still actually pretty good overall so we will change that a little bit and then we'll take eight divisions we can take one more and make that a nice 24 and these are pretty much all of our generals ready to go and then we'll take this and throw them into a group with a field marshal and i like selecting the second guy your choice what you would like to select but i still think the second one is actually a pretty good choice overall and then what we're going to do is just get our naval invasions ready right now so we're going to take these smaller divisions yeah we could actually take the big ones let's just go with the big ones for today so we're just going to select the naval button right here and then we'll select the tokyo region and then we'll go over here right click and deselect and then we're going to do this two more times we're going to select there again and then we're going to land troops right here and then we'll select this one again and select here and then we'll land on that spot right there so we do still need to assign the troops properly i don't know why it did that but um we'll just do this once more just to make sure that we get everything done properly and then we'll right click deselect and now we can oh why did it what why did it still select everything okay so we'll select one division and then that way it won't mess everything up i don't know why maybe it's just a bug right now but i can't actually reassign units once they've been selected for enable invasions so i don't know if you guys are having that issue but i am lately um so now we're just gonna make sure that this main one here really okay there we go so now we got three on that and then we'll select another three and assign them there and then we'll just do four for the last one because that way we have 10 which maxes out everything the reason we do it this way is because it makes the naval preparation shorter you can see there it only takes about 21 days rather than the usual 70 if you assign all 10 so you can do naval invasions faster this way and then what we're going to do with the remaining troops is we'll just set fallback lines on our home territory because no one else is going to do anything and even the americans they're not going to naval invade us so it doesn't even really matter too much and then the other thing you have to do is delete that offensive line over there and then just make sure you control and click and control and click and now all the divisions will go back to your home home territory so that's everything for now i'm just going to finish the non-aggression pact and secure the philippines and we should be ready to go here and two things just really quickly here because i forgot to mention it at this point in time you're going to want to recruit 30 divisions of the weaker ones right here so those 17 combat widths that way you'll have enough of them when we attack the americans because you'll have 90 and they have at most i think 55 60 divisions somewhere around there so uh definitely helps you out once you make the landing if you have that many divisions as you expand the front line they just simply won't have enough divisions the americans to actually defend anything and you can just push across the entire country pretty easily so it is important that you recruit them right now just so they're ready in time for the war still not essential though if you had to delay it an extra 30 days even just so you can actually get them recruited and put out in the field because you have to remember it does take some time to get across here and when you make your initial landing it is somewhat slow-ish at the start just as you're breaking out of the pocket so just keep that in mind and then i just wanted to show it as well really quickly just production here just so you guys get a sense of what i did carrier bombers are at three ton artillery is now at eight three on support and 13 on guns because guns are the biggest thing you're going to have issues with when your troops make the landing they're going to be getting attrition really heavily so because of that it's the most common thing that you're going to run out of outside of maybe artillery as well so you want to focus on those two and then from there you're gonna usually be okay so just keep that in mind uh i've got a research slot available oh i have two of them let's go with signal just get that out of the way and i can do that other weapons and equipment and that's everything for now i will see you guys when we're ready for our war so this is the moment we've all been waiting for our war goal is ready so first things first just with our national focus tree here we're going to complete nationalized war industry first national defense state and then spiritual mobilization to keep our manpower up this one just gives mills and sieves this one drops us to total mobilization which is great and then this one just increases the recruitment so you don't lose all of your manpower if you wanted to though you could do this one and then the research policy as well just to help yourself out but your choice there otherwise nothing else that really needs to be done i'm still recruiting these guys so i'll just deploy them once they're finished and that's no problem so we will just go over here diplomacy and declare war the other thing that you need to do right now is you need to select your navy let's just get those together and we'll merge and then we're going to select right here we're going to go to destroyers and you can just right click on them and then you can click click on all destroyers hit select once more and then we're going to try and break off i think about 30 of them so create another task force okay so that was 13. i was a little off so split that in half three times once more and there we go that should be enough so we're just going to take these and put them back in and then with these 24 what we want to do is convoy escort so we're just going to put them under a new commander right there and we'll select this guy and then we will distribute them so we'll go like this why are they still 24 that's weird so so select and distribute why what okay so we're gonna just do this manually so we'll split them in half a bunch of times and that's another five and we'll split that once more okay that should be enough so what you want to do is select convoy escort and you want to go here here and here this just makes sure okay we should probably have them there as well the reason you want to have this is because you're going to need to be trading for oil and all your other resources here in the meantime and the americans love to convoy raid all of your [ __ ] so if you don't have it on convoy escort they'll just get constantly attacked and harassed by submarines and the end result which should be pretty obvious is that you're going to lose a lot of convoys and with that resources so i also like to take my air force and just set them onto naval strike and close air support and whatnot and just set them in this region that typically does help out as well and then with your remaining navy the big one here distribute it one more time and then you're gonna set them on naval invasion support and we'll just go through all of the regions where we're going towards um hawaii so that's basically it for that i'm just gonna unpause the game really quick here and you can see we're still missing naval supremacy but the americans do typically move their ships around so in some ways it's really just a waiting game until they do that at some point sooner or later they're going to move their ships away from hawaii it's really just a timing thing otherwise yeah did that just get moved yeah there we go so we still have no ships over here so what you can actually do as well you can just select right here take one carrier and create a new task force and you can even put them into a new guy right here and just go naval invasion support and do the exact same thing just set it right there and they should hopefully move now is it out of region no it should still be within the region so i don't know why it's not moving are you set properly yes patrol ah there we go okay now he's moving so as soon as he gets to this region i just set it to patrol that'll work and any time now there we go so we have all the superiority that we need so we're going to activate set them on to aggressive and the great thing is once you actually capture hawaii uh the americans lose a lot of their ability to project power in the region they can't really support big ships over here because they need fuel and whatnot and the reason they don't have the ships over here is because they just can't do a whole lot they do still have the philippines but they don't typically for whatever reason do anything with that um so it just makes it a little bit of a struggle for them so anyways with y out of the way it shouldn't really be a problem so now you guys should be able to see how i went about doing that and you can see over here we have superiority for the most part obviously there's still some areas where they're going to have it but that's not really a big concern for us and then as soon as this naval invasion is completed just unselect all of your ships except for those destroyers you still want to have the destroyers doing their thing pretty much for this entire game just once that's finished send your entire fleet over here and just leave them in docks until we get that next naval invasion ready so i'm just going to activate this and skip ahead to when it's done it should only take a few days here you know i kind of forgot something that might have been a little helpful as well just really quickly here uh go over here when you have 150 political power you should have already had it saved up and if not that's fine it's only going to take about another 60 days for you to actually have it ready you want to select the pacific fleet designer the reason for this is it increases your max range by 25 percent and that applies to carrier submarines and screens so your flight cruisers and destroyers as well this is really helpful for the naval process over here because you need all the range you can get to actually you know reach these islands so just thought i'd throw that in there if you haven't selected it though just select it once you have the political power and you should have no problems getting over here otherwise you're going to need to do some island hopping so you could capture right here and then you could actually dock your ships and then send them that way but that's just a little more complicated so just thought i would make you guys aware of that okay so i have made my naval invasion and it was obviously successful so what we need to do now is prepare the next naval invasion so we're just going to select this region right here and where we're going to make the landing is in san francisco so we're going to do pretty much the exact same thing as what we just did before we're going to set up three invasions one on the city itself one beside it on the left hand side and then we're going to do the same thing just once more except on the right hand side and then when that's done now oh [ __ ] i don't know where they got assigned please tell me ah okay so we're gonna delete that one again then we're just gonna select one and then we're gonna do a naval invasion and [Music] ah there we go fun stuff so then we'll just take those other two and we'll assign them on the city do those three on the left hand side and then four on the right hand side one other thing you can actually do just so you're aware is you can actually make a fallback line just right there and the remainder of these divisions will actually go over here to the united states one other thing i also like to do is set a fallback line right over here and then that way when you assign them properly if you're actually smart that way it just doesn't take quite as long for all your troops to get sent over to the united states so just so you guys are aware and then these other guys are actually finished training now so we're just going to go ahead and deploy them like so so we'll just deploy hold shift and click and we're going to split that take 8 off and we'll assign both of them and then we'll take that leader right there and we'll go with [Music] let's go with this guy right here sure he's reckless and he's an infantry leader perfect combination um so that's basically it just gonna set another fallback line like so i guess these guys we can just do the same thing just set another one and then one more fallback line here i might even just keep four of these divisions here in the event the americans make a naval invasion i highly doubt that's going to happen but you never know it can so then we're just going to merge all of that navy back together the really big one and we'll make sure those are assigned in as well then we're going to select all and then we're going to tell them to transport over here to hawaii so that way we can actually start making the naval invasion and then the last thing i did here because i had no oil i went ahead and i started trading with the soviets for as much oil as i possibly could our naval efficiency is trash holy [ __ ] yeah it's this region right here they've got their really big ships hmm i don't know if i want to actually assign this fleet i you know what screw it we're gonna hit patrol and we're gonna tell them to go go mess them up that way we might just have the potential why are these guys not going merging oh they have to merge first okay this is a really weird way of merging you're doing it out in the middle of the ocean okay so the reason why we're doing this right now is just if we get rid of a portion of their fleet because i think our superiority is something like 24 25 000 when we're set on patrol and they just took all their ships off what the hell okay so uh we now have superiority so we're gonna have better efficiency there and if we go and look at trade yeah it's it's dropping um so that way our navy oh we're not even gonna get enough that's funny anyways i don't even think it's necessary so our supremacy is 29 000 with all those ships over there if we sync a few of them great it doesn't even look like we need to keep our fleet deployed over there anymore so we're just going to put that in there tell you to go convoy escort you unassign yourself select all and now we can move them because you have to remember these are going to be ready in 21 days this naval invasion so it's not very long and looks like we had some combat one i've sunk in quite a few of their convoys or sorry their uh submarines at this point so that's pretty good national focus wise okay let's go national defense actually you know what national research policy first i'm gonna change it up just for fun and then we have one more person that we can select here so you know what i'm gonna throw on that capital ship specialist that's gonna help us i think the most and then for trading there's nothing else that we really need right now i guess i should say for factories but we're just going to bump up all this stuff that we have in production right now and then for trade we can also just bump up the steel by one and that should be okay and yeah we're really struggling there but that's fine at the end of the day um you're always going to struggle with oil as japan it's just not a simple solution to solve um but the great thing is once you make your naval invasion against the u.s if you get over to texas you get all the oil and whatnot so it's kind of irrelevant either way once you make that naval invasion and you're successful you'll do just fine the other thing is the americans don't like doing this forever they won't just attack you endlessly so you can at least rely on them stopping their attacks at some point so that's always a nice thing as well but anyways i'm just going to skip ahead to when the naval invasion is ready and i will show you what the process looks like for our initial landing so my naval invasion is ready to go so we're just going to cancel that repair task [ __ ] it it's one percent i don't think that's going to make a difference at all so we're going to do pretty much the exact same thing as before we're going to hit select balance the task force then we're going to set naval invasion support and we have to go here here here and here and obviously you can somewhat tell if we go over it's ready to go now one thing that can happen is when you set up the naval invasion it's going to tell you that this region right here can't be accessed the only thing you have to do to change that is exactly what we did before just take one carrier off and then just set it on patrol naval invasion convoy rating whatever you want and it'll give you the superiority so that's pretty much it at the end of the day i think you can also use 1936 submarines don't quote me on that but i'm pretty sure they can reach it so you can always break some of those off into a separate fleet or task force and you can do the exact same thing so i'm just going to activate this plan right now they're already set on aggressive and everything else so they're good to go you can use a force attack just to help but only do that right before they actually make the landing and you can see there i am suffering a bit of an organization loss just because we have so many divisions here um obviously now they're full but just keep that in mind you are slightly harming yourself if you actually put all those divisions on hawaii territories or the american territory i should say just keep that in mind but uh national focus here i'm just going to go army expansion and supreme supremacy of will next i think those are going to be the most helpful to me and just as we get ready for this naval invasion here i'm just going to show you what we actually need to do so that way you guys don't get confused and i suddenly just jump into a time lapse and um you're kind of left wondering what the hell i did and how i was able to break out so again really big thing is you just have to make the landing if you get the port you're gonna be a-okay if you don't it's gonna be a lot more of a struggle and again you wanna do this as quickly as you possibly can so i'm going to tell them to go so perfect we made a landing we're going to tell those two to go up there those two to go actually all three go up there and we're going to get two of them to cross the reason you want to get across is right here you got a river so you already are going to be suffering because you're in hills and mountains plus you would have the river to push through and you can see we're taking really high attrition so it's really important that you push out from this pocket as quickly as you can because if you don't you're just going to make it way harder on yourself so once you've made this landing what you now want to obviously do is take your remaining divisions and you want to set them on front lines in this region i like to typically go with the two stacks of my best troops those other ones the cavalry and whatnot they can actually wait you don't need to send them over for the time being why is that okay you know what we need to delete all of this so now we can just reset the front lines we'll just tell all of you to go 22 right here go and then 21 go and then that way they should actually get assigned properly because we still have those fallback lines they are still assigned to them so if it's in your best interest which i think it is you should delete those fallback lines just so they don't accidentally get reassigned because that's the other thing as you're in combat if they for whatever reason have their front line changed or they achieve their objectives in combat or whatever your troops will actually just go home all the way back across the ocean to their territory so just keep that in mind you want to try and avoid that as much as possible so now we're just going to try and push out again as far as we can from the initial landing site because that's what's going to really hurt us off the start here you can see just by looking at the map the biggest thing that's hurting us is the port but if you get all the way down here to los angeles if you can break out that far or you can get up into the north of california then you shouldn't have any more issues with supply past that point so again just try and break out as quickly as possible and one way you can do that somewhat easily is just by pushing as they lose combat you want to immediately attack them again and again and again and they'll just keep getting pushed back further and further so at this point i don't really know if there's a whole lot that i need to show you here um i'm basically just gonna speed up the combat you can see i'm winning pretty handedly here even in one-on-one cases our troops are stronger they're just stronger overall these are the 30 width divisions and that's why i like to send them over sure the supply can be a bit of an issue but you should normally be able to break out of this pocket somewhat easily and you're not i'm going to be smart about this you go attack them go around and you go right there oh we can't get the encirclement [ __ ] oh yes we can haha look at that i'm basically a pro at hearts of iron for now so now we can attack right there and we're going to pretty much solve our supply issue as the rest of our divisions come over so i hope you guys enjoy the time lapse [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] bye uh [Music] so there we have it by december 7th 1938 as japan we have defeated the united states of america so um yeah again the only hard thing is really just getting out of this pocket but once you get over to los angeles even there they don't really have enough divisions to uh hold on to the territory and i don't know if you guys would have seen it in the combat but the biggest thing there is making those a circumstance especially at the start you just make it so much easier to manage by the end of the game or that war there they only had 15 divisions um and by the time i had broken out to about here they had only i think 20 to 25 so at that point uh just select your field marshal and set a front line with all of the divisions on it and then set an offensive line over here activate it and then the biggest thing if you saw it there i just manually selected a few divisions and told them to just go across the entire country because what ends up happening is the ai will automatically send uh what few divisions it has left chasing after them and even trying to stop them but if you have three or four divisions going on separate lines they're gonna have multiple divisions trying to go over here while still defending what little territory remains over here um and the biggest thing is all the victory points are in this region up along the coastline here and then all these victory points in here like i think there's richmond in here that is worth 15 virginia so um you want to just try and capture those and there's some down on the coast ten one one there's one over here that's five the us has a lot of victory points so don't overlook them you gotta look around the territory this one right here for example is ten so every state is going to basically have at least one victory point that's worth a fair bit and then obviously these two up here detroit and chicago definitely want to take those um but that's really the gist of it i mean once you make that landing and you're successful you're gonna be pretty good the other thing you have to watch out for is naval invasions the us is still gonna be superior over here just i can't show it now but uh they're gonna have naval superiority you can send your fleet over though i just typically avoid it because as you probably saw there when they make their naval invasion they don't remove the troops fairly often so what ends up happening is you can just rush over a bunch of divisions cut off the port and then you've got a easy encirclement that they've just given to you for free if you only have one port though definitely watch out for that you need to at least have two ports otherwise you run the risk of them cutting you off and then as you're sending your army over you're not going to be able to defeat them fast enough and all of these divisions that you have in here can just become attrition and die so you definitely got to be careful of that watch out for it um there is this little port over here though as well actually is that the biggest one holy [ __ ] okay that's the biggest port so definitely don't lose this one if you have that problem but otherwise yeah that's pretty much it i think i'm probably going to end the video here for today i'm going to save the war on china and the war against the allies because those are the only two groups i really want to fight at this point personally i think once you have the uk out of the way you've beaten all of china if you want to go after germany just wait until they attack later on but i'm going to be releasing episode 2 here fairly shortly i'm going to get started working on it right after i finish this recording and basically just continue on but that video is probably going to take a few more days to
