HermitCraft 6: 139 | DOUBLE Vending SPEED

hello ladies and gentlemen and welcome back to another episode of hurry craft season 6 I have a very very very strange mystery on my hands I have no idea about a few things at the moment so the first thing is that for some unexplainable reason this guy villager number 14 in my vending machine has completely vanished he is completely god now one problem with that is that that is Gilbert which had efficiency 5 I mean that's like a super rare trade and there also isn't any minecarts just chillin here which tells me that he hasn't actually just got killed by this and D spawned or whatever he was also named he was also named so he shouldn't be able to de-spawn anyway but him buddy is Gilbert is completely gone I've looked all over the place I was thinking maybe he's stuck on a rail in this tower somewhere but he isn't he is completely and utterly gone so based off of the information that Gilbert is gone I started trying to get a new Gilbert I mean I'm sorry to say but Gilbert is indeed replaceable it just has to do with me like trying to reset their profession a lot and in doing so I stumble across upon another mystery I don't know why I'm fascinated with this I don't work fascinated with a sunrise in Minecraft it is genuinely just one mega big pixel anyway it's a new day and so in a little bit we should get the work our light to come on and we should be able to set this guy's profession and also I haven't traded with this guy so he should loose it let's also give it Rodriguez some fresh meat while we wait so that we can have another villager ready for us oh here's another thing I've changed I have this button that that shoots the automatically brewed weakness potion and gives me a golden apple which i think is just just a little convenience thing decimals and all that you know do you know what it's like anyway looking at the Sun I would that right now is actually work hours just the beginning of work hours so this guy should in theory lose his profession once he realizes that his lectern is gone okay here we go now he's lost his profession now take a look at this light this light has always worked perfectly fine to be lit whenever he can change his profession so when I can do this action he changes or the lamp the lamp turns on right or its own that's something that I've tested over and over and over again and it has been working two things though all of a sudden the light is not working and just to show you guys the behinds this is an unchanged redstone circuit this is the same circuit that I'm running in my creative test well that does exactly this and has been working here and if you notice there's like a dark little area here it's almost like villagers from Emerald heaven are I don't know pooping down over this contraption fair play to them if so I mean yeah that that that would be completely fair so this thing is completely broken and I've been speaking with Exuma Boyd and we don't understand why we don't understand why and there's nothing above it as you can see and here's another thing and this may just be me going all crazy with shenanigans at the moment but I never thought that this was a thing I didn't think that you could cover up a daylight sensor with a full block has that always been like that but the biggest issue with these mysteries isn't the fact that the light doesn't work anymore I genuinely have no idea why it doesn't work but check how this guy behaved so I break that and I place it back down normally he would immediately become a librarian right because it is work hours and yeah it just makes sense that he would normally normally become a librarian however he doesn't he doesn't it takes you see there it takes quite some time for him to turn into a librarian and this significantly reduces the efficiency in selling their professions and thus finding in efficiency five villager oh no maybe maybe this is the weirdest start to an episode ever because i-i've just been rambling about mysteries but if you have any ideas or suggestions what is going on here and why this has all of a sudden without any minecraft update changed I would love to see that down in the down in the comment field I would love to see your yeah your theories and also is this a thing that's always been a Minecraft am I just stupid case I I genuinely didn't know you could do that seriously though enough rambling about these mysteries today I want to raise a building around this thing my tree for my TNT tree farm and this is potentially going to be a very tricky build because as we all know TNT explodes things and blows things up which is the whole point of this farm but I just want to make sure first of all that they're still working cuz I haven't used this in quite some time and then I guess I have to measure out a little bit the blast radius of said TNT and I also want to try and make this a little bit more efficient if I can by making the TNT blow up just a little bit higher up and don't try this at home if if you have your own tree farm try this in creative first I'm gonna be an idiot though and try it here because I don't have a creative version of this but if I were to change these repeaters so that they hold the block just a little bit longer the TNT should explode further up I mean if it explodes too far up though it's gonna blow the whole thing up oh this baby this might be the stupidest start to an episode I've ever done and why is this now broken oh I mean that looks good that actually looks like it has no chance to damage that's I am look I think this book is definitely in the radius yeah it is but I don't think this is oh oh never mind okay okay I mean the important thing is that it doesn't get over here and for those of you was following mumble when he built his tree farm I actually have a completely different wiring at the bottom here because I have a dispenser refill system included so my wires are different so I can't just use his timings but I've been looking at this now for a little while and it looks it looks I mean it looks good looks yeah I think I think that's okay and that's gonna that's gonna make it a little bit more efficient so originally I was planning on making a giant tree a giant dead tree made of acacia surrounding this thing but after measuring this out it's a twenty-one by twenty one area that I have to work with in order for it to not be affected by the tnt and I'll be honest even then I don't know if it will be affected by the tnt there's just gonna be a trial and error and yeah like I said don't try don't do things like this yourself tried in creative first make sure that you're not gonna be doing anything in vain and it will just blow up I'm just I'm just stupid so anyway instead of the tree I'm thinking of adding Tower I'm thinking of building or making this thing into a giant Tower and somehow design it so that it looks like a blast chamber of swords let's let's do this in the form of a third person time halves is that I think that makes a lot more sense so storing this build I had very little ideas of what I wanted to do the whole barrier of having to worry about where this TNT would explode and holes and stuff like that was making it quite difficult but I thought I just wing it and started with a books and to see how that looked in height wise and size wise and and this thing is absolutely massive I wanted to add some dimension to it so I decided to go with this foundation thinking that you know if it is a blast chamber you should probably have some sturdy things to stand on and sturdy things to hold it up and I added the oak logs because that's kind of been the Signum or whatever that word is called in English it's gonna be in the Signum for at the base and I really really really like the stripped Logs with the cyan and the grace it just yeah it just looks really really cool and then I wanted to break it up and I tried a bunch of different designs and finally settled with something like this where I had two big metal vents or protective like panzer things in the bottom and a big window on the top band all in all I mean for a big cube building that holds TNT explosions I think it was pretty good I really like this I really like this I think this is coming along really cool I mean to be honest it costed a lot of resources to build this I had to go to the Mesa bomb and I had to do some mining for clay or terracotta but yeah it is really really coming together now I have got a really weird idea what happened if I would were to put a red yeah you heard me a red window in these spots up here you know what that's that's actually not bad that's actually not bad then I man this is gonna be a tough one I've made this thing and I haven't made an interest that's that's so typical so I need to decide one of these sides it's gonna be an entrance and I think honestly I think this side is probably the best yeah I quite like that and that totally looks like a face of some Pokemon Sports I just realized that I've been thinking about whether or not I should have a red window for this thing for the past 25 minutes it's time to just take a decision that I've decided to just be a little bit brave and go with will be weird but also super cool red I mean it is a TNT blast chamber after all one change that I made though is that I made these windows coming down here gray and I really think that that looks I really think that looks awesome actually that looks really really cool there's only one little problem not only did you don't forget about the entrance I also actually haven't tested this and that's important because if these walls are too close they're gonna blow up from there from the TNT explosion oh why do I do things in the wrong way right we just have to give this a test I'm about to 30 trees in and I think this is hopefully a good enough representation of whether or not this blast chamber is actually a blast chamber and by the looks of things I think that was broken look there already this has worked the glass is actually intact yeah for real this is fully fully working I mean I am shocked I'm happily surprised don't get me wrong but I did not expect it to be zero damages but that is that is really really good news and I'm not gonna lie there are other buildings that I thought was massive including the railgun now look pretty small in comparison to this but I'm very happy with the fact that we now have a building covering up that somewhat ugly TNT duper and three farm exploder of doom yeah this this feels a lot more complete in this general area now and I gotta say I love this view I really love this view now with this mega blast chamber of doom completed and and I mean I'm right in saying that right that that looks that looks pretty mega right in the base here anyway with that completed I feel like I'm gonna get back at doing some villager stuff with the villager build off now here's the thing this system is super cool I think most people are really really excited about the vending machine approach of villagers instead of doing the standard villager trading hall and I am too I'm really really excited and happy about coming up with this design and my plan is to make two more of these vending machine the one drawback that this system has over a trading wall according to mumbo is that it isn't as efficient now I completely disagree as you guys know I I do think that it is more efficient than having to run around and remember where you will villagers are because you can literally just stand still but mumble pointed out that the slowest villager so the villager furthers the way Oliver has a wait time of about I think it was 11 seconds I'm gonna time it okay about twelve point eight seconds it's more correct than eleven seconds and quite frankly I mean I I don't think that's bad I I think that's okay I think that's an okay trade-off for having this very very cool vending machine but what if we could make it faster what if we could make it a lot faster so the thing that slows this down is not actually the distance of the villagers necessarily or the redstone wire it is this thing here the decoder when I request the fifteenth villager an item needs to travel all the way over here in in this hopper band and reach this last hopper before anything happens and based off of that I take a signal and I send it to this guy and back to the to the trading halt pocket pocket now luckily my good friend captain Wu tax has sent me a world download where he has taken my vending machine and tried to improve this circuit to make it quicker so I've jumped over to the creative test wall that he sent me and this is the full vending machine layout using his design now I have really curious he's using a composter and a subtraction method in order to spread the signal out to thirty blocks instead of fifteen that is that is very very smart I would I would not have thought about that but that is yeah that's extremely clever now I am very very curious to see how long the fifteenth villager would take so in ours or in my design it took twelve point eight seconds and here it takes one I mean we don't even have to cut that look at that oh my goodness okay that so that is ridiculously quick you gotta be kidding me hold on let's do that again I'm gonna do the mumble way of counting Mississippi so one Mississippi two Mississippi three Mississippi four Mississippi five Mississippi he's here five and a half seconds I would say maybe even that that was okay that was ridiculously quick who tax you you're genius and absolute genius now back on the hermit craft server I'm not gonna take down this vending machine this is finished as it is and I do really really love it I'm really proud of my circuitry around it but for the next vending machine I think we should definitely use boot axes design because I mean that thing is just so cool and so fast now there is one slight difficulty with what axis design and that is that it is directional it needs to be placed on the Norden so facing this way or southern directional lines so we can't actually place it like this libraries placed and what I'm thinking we'll do is we will make this road go this way because I do need to be able to get over there and that was the plan all along and then we're gonna place one of these machines or vending machines right here I think I've commented on this mushroom before but why is it so large that's not normal is it I mean if I look into all out of the mushrooms they're kind of the same size but this one is just like 3/3 this big I always want to save that mushroom there but I don't think that's gonna be a possibility these villager cells are a little bit weird to build or a little bit different to build the good news so far is that the mushroom is it's safe I guess yeah it should be safe right now and in typical sigh craft style we are going to be using rails to detect signals and stuff but this is actually going pretty well so far so far so good so this is going to be where the villagers are sitting these things are gonna be controlling the Pistons that switches the rails which well they don't actually switch the rails they suck the ritz away and this somewhere is going to be where we're standing so we're gonna need you needed quite a bit of a staircase but that should be very very cool you'll know how bad I am with pistons but I gotta say placing down a wall of pistons like this always feels very satisfying what is it just looks really really cool I think this should now be working so we got page seven and we press the button and fells get seven opened this is so satisfied I mean I assume that what's fancy eight seven to be fair but that seems to be working that seems to be working I don't have a villager over here so I guess it's only fair that I mean I test this out hello where did the my cart go what wait oh okay there we go yeah as I was saying I think it's only fair that I will be the first test subject so I'm gonna pretend to be a villager that's gonna go into cell number one and if I go and hello I'm okay that didn't fully fully go to plan okay let's try this again and I'm gonna put a block there and see if I need to do that the first time I feel it yes okay now I mean and that rail has shifted yeah that that's looking perfect the only problem is how how am I gonna get out hello hello ouch but right in my face hello Pablo can you come get me I just want to do something silly here because um me if I add observers looking at these fence gates and redstone lamps on top of those wait a note block on top well I get a super weird yet again cool little function here when we trigger this so if I order say number seven I will yeah I mean I like that I like that doesn't serve any purpose that's why I like it now this thing looks absolutely awesome I mean I've really really liked the way this when machine-like speeds through the different selections and I've also installed something that captain will tax didn't think of from the beginning which is a G lock we definitely need a G lock so that this machine cannot be used unless all the cells are full so now if I press any of these pages nothing should happen because we don't have every cell full and that's gonna protect us from yeah shuffling up the villagers or doing anything like that then you're ready to go did you guys see that that was so sad he looked down at the floor disappeared yeah I saw him over there okay let's hurry around here and see if he arrives and yeah here he comes I look so confused you come into your new home ban did that work did he yeah he is in the selection very very good I think I should just be able to sell mom what happened there Ben why why did I test with a good realtor I thought that would work oh okay well now is in I'm just gonna try it with another one as well Ben is in Harry you you're sort of good you've got a an unbreaking 3 pickaxe all of you pop because my G lock is not active yet or is not hooked up I need to put this on page 15 or a page higher than the villagers I filled and then I should be able to do that did Harry go in he did go in yes okay it was only the first selling and I removed that okay yeah no I've done everything correct I think I think yeah let's try let's try and see if we can request Ben here goes nothing Ben hello Ben hi that was almost instant that was so ridiculously quick yeah I am very very very pleased with this and then of course the first sell it's not fully functioning let's see if you get stuck this time oh that worked a lot better okay so that block did the trick right there I am I'm really really impressed with this design like I said captain will tax you you are a genius absolute genius but that's gonna do it for today ladies and gentlemen I really hope they've enjoyed this episode I feel like I took another step towards 200 diamonds with this contraption right here I think it looks extremely fancy we're of course gonna put some kind of design on top of it but I may just do another one of these right next to My theory is that the villager and minecart that went missing were on a chunk border -- there was a bug in 1.13 that caused entities on borders to "suffocate," and it would sometimes kill living entities and break Minecarts when you walked away from them far enough. I'm not sure if that bug was ever fixed, but it would have done something just like this.
