Having a Hard Time 😝

lots of hand signals fun getting ready to get busy around here okay little rip things we've learned about sheep not the brightest he's a little nervous that's right i'm glad i scared him out of there farming 101. oh boy i want to talk to the foreman [Music] doing a little truck and tractor shuffle this morning gotta unload this pallet of minerals and then take this truck over to the mechanic up the road to put in a compressor a compressor of some sort i believe i'm pretty sure okay got that lots of hand signal fine it's driving like his pants are on fire this morning gosh he just wants to get it over there i reckon and get going with whatever else is on the agenda today i really don't know what is on the agenda today other than getting back to feet cows i've got several errands to run in town today things to pick up and things to do but i'm not sure what's on his agenda okay here's the word thunderbird we are going to check on the hay bottom and see how wet it is down there he thinks he wants to start cutting that tomorrow it's gonna it's getting ready to get busy around here for the next week so we need to do that that whole big river bottom again uh get it cut and get it bailed and then we gotta get going with silage by well as soon as we finish the hay we'll start silage um but he's also gotta go down to the silage pit and shore up one of the walls and we need to spray down there there's there's a lot to do y'all there's a lot to get done in the next seven days or so beans beans and more beans looking good there's the silence what will be sorghum silage this is going to make a lot i just can't believe it's gonna fit in our pit he says it will two weeks two weeks i thought we were talking one week well two weeks would be even better we could get the hay done and not be so rushed oh you're going might feel it here that i mean see pretty well that huh be hard to pack because it's so green he said if the fodder would start drying up a little bit it would help it pack better so maybe that'll maybe that'll be the deal [Music] that's a japanese hornet oh yeah all right let's talk about that right under that leaf there it looks like sawdust that's sugar cane sugar cane aphids so that's not good so it's a matter of that that versus letting it dry up a little bit oh darn if you do darn if you don't what do you do make the best decision [Music] you can hope for the best well it wouldn't hurt my feelings if we waited another week hey oh my gosh oh yeah i'd say it's ready again oh all right i don't know what it is you're just going to cut it what do we ride down here for yeah okay okay let it rip okay i wasn't really thinking we had to come to um we had to come to lowe's to get some pipe this is going to be this is going to be our sewer pipe at the camper to make it a little bit more permanent where i don't have to deal with the slinky oh the slinky hose i had major issues i didn't even tell y'all about doesn't matter doesn't matter this is going to get fixed next week two of our very best friends are going down to use camper and fish and uh they're very handy and they are they're gonna fix this for us but anyway um yeah we just dropped off at her best friends to spend the night or to play for a while anyway and uh i wasn't thinking about driving this instead of the truck turns out the durango is exactly 10 foot long inside we know this now okay here's how can we get home without any issues which we should no worries yeah we saw y'all we saw you on the porch what are you doing poop poop poop that's all they do is poop and pee poop and pee and poop and pee again fatty fatty fatty good news we don't have to grind feed today but we do need to move that feeder lots of shuffling and such again uh he's taking out the spear he's gonna have to grease and hook up the cutter and go to cutting hay y'all we had a quarter inch of rain yesterday but he said it shouldn't shouldn't mess him up so spear off is there any tape in the hoses dog collared up crank it up and lift the lift all the way just lifting [Music] always where we don't want you to be things we've learned about sheep they're not the brightest species evidently they have no uh they have no um understanding that wesley says they're suicidal they have no understanding of like danger maybe from animals but not from things like trucks and tractors and mules like suvs none none whatsoever horns don't bother them none of that none this is a big pta oh you got it rather easily for a change gotta agrees that i reckon yeah okay wesley gets so worried about them he's a good little caretaker okay y'all it's a warm one it's a warm one here warm run run warm one um i've been waiting i've been waiting many hours waiting for the grass to dry but it's just not going to do it because the humidity is so high but it is it is bad y'all it's really bad so i'm just going to mow and if the mower gets clogged up then i'll just unclog it oh my gosh it's just been it's been a cleaning day it's been a mop the kitchen five times day and still doesn't hardly look like it was mopped but i know it was so i know it's better than it was vacuum uh got all the things but i heard something moving stuff around cleaning the porch off for the tenth time in the past 10 days just trying to find my porch again it becomes a collecting place and it drives me nuts why here i think i hear i guess it's a helicopter anyway it's warm y'all we're gonna get this done though oh full bunny what was i thinking come on come on you can do it i don't wanna have to jump you i'm gonna have to jump okay one yard down one yard down one yard to go i stopped and cleaned it because it was it was really bad it was really caked up now to papa's all done [Music] cleaning for the second time it works good i like it i like it a lot okay that was a lot of mowing well lawrence is cutting hay and the plan was to get down there and check on him and get a little footage and see how things are going but that plan has not evolved the way i thought it might because so much grass to mow and now suffer to cook and a daughter to go pick up from a friend's house and some stuff to take to another friend and all the things so we'll see wesley has been test test tasked however you say that with cleaning the bushings so here he goes he's a little nervous about pulling it and he said he's never driven the four wheel drive tractor but he'll figure it out or he's trying to figure it out there you go you got it wow that's gonna be fun to wash oh my gosh got it got it got it you got it buddy good job oh you're gonna blow it off first okay that makes good there you sense [Music] and we have sheath [Music] step two choosing the hose [Music] austin's home mommy's home do you say well they stopped talking now they ran up to her he's wet he's wet probably out there with wesley because wesley was cleaning off the bush hog and they were out there under the tractor doing all the things they're not supposed to be doing all in the way oh here comes the dogs okay i'm gonna go check on lawrence i had to go get austin i just i can't i couldn't get all the things done and the amount of time that i had to do them so um hype hey now in the truck instead of the durango much better uh anyway last night it was like 8 30 and he was bush hogging what a pretty sunset um swirl hold on i'll show you well it's just over those trees sorry i can't show you anywho i'm back roll the windows up can't hear for the for the crunch of the gravel isn't it wonderful um last night where was i last night he was bush hugging over on the bluff that the high part of the farm um and it got to be very late i text him i had called him and i couldn't get him there's no service over there and it had rained like a quarter of an inch and it's really steep and he's told me a story about one time when his tractor he lost like control i don't remember i don't know the whole story i just know that he like went down and slid down the hill and um it's like my worst fear sliding uncontrollably down a really steep hill so i i in the way that i tend to do sometimes my head started thinking all these things all these bad things and uh so wesley and i took off on the mule to go look for him it was starting the lightning it was i anyway um and when we got down to the gate i'll show some of this footage i didn't i didn't say anything i just recorded a little bit when we got down to the gate he was coming he was coming in so it was perfect timing because we were able to get the gate for him and then followed him back in um he was fine of course but that is just part of being a farm wife i believe those irrational sometimes irrational fears that creep up and take hold so anyway i am not worried about him at this point but i would like to go check on him and see what's going on because i kind of thought maybe he'd be done by now he's been gone almost seven hours [Music] we've got turkeys turkeys everywhere turkeys we doing there gobbler that was a gobbler one went in the beans too oh we have deer all the wildlife all the wildlife tonight y'all there goes another one you dear enjoying our beans yeah that's five oh there goes another one six little white tails everywhere that's right i'm glad i scared him out of there big stick not necessarily a problem for a tractor but i don't really want to run over this with my truck oh that didn't work i see hey down i bet he's in the very last field he's got to be in the last field because he's not out here and that only leaves one um there he is i was gonna say where is he he's done he's literally done here he comes done literally done i didn't get any of that on um tape but oh well couldn't couldn't have timed that any worse oh well oh well at least he got done before dark he's wondering what i'm doing [Music] in the truck guys come here guys oh that's no fun let's see y'all [Music] this is getting low as well here's the m y'all the m is gonna get cranked but she might need a little fuel [Music] gas this is actual gas got to fill that gravity body up gotta put out some hay and then we've got to grind some corn and everybody's excited about that first the first uh school lesson today farming 101. [Music] [Music] okay hey ben now hook up feeder and get it out of this muddy spot oh my gosh oh boy [Music] got it got it got it what a mess got it okey dokey now now we can go grind feed it needs to go up just a few feet right there right there right there okay [Music] sprayed all these weeds yesterday so that'll be nicer next time hopefully [Music] what are you doing they love papa's old scooter thought about getting rid of it but i think we better keep it the rate launch is going he's gonna need it clara where have you been you are so dirty you're wet and dirty we came and opened the doors up like an hour ago to see if it would help um make it not as hot i'm sure it's gonna work very good oh y'all it's it's a really gross week it's really bad here humidity is really bad i know i keep saying that but it really is it really is anyway it is what it is here we go buddy [Music] [Applause] [Music] oh i came the whole thing i'm going to talk to the um i want to talk to the foreman and see if there's a way we could like start using the little tractor to at least bring it out with the bucket so maybe we could load it from outside let's see what the foreman says [Music] water fill up he's already drank all his [Music] that was fast did it fill it up that fast oh my gosh i wasn't gonna wear shorts today it was just too hot just too hot [Music] okay last step these girls have the right idea in the shade made in the shade they're not dumb i mean they can be done but they're not dumb about that did good buddy i know it's not fun i'd say we got our workout today [Music] okay i just talked to the foreman i said i was going to talk to the foreman about doing something different and he agreed that we can do that we can use a little track get another silver get another shovel oh another kind of shovel as in a bucket on a tractor i still have to shovel it out of there but shoveling it outside the bin the container will be better [Music] oh funnel like a funnel a dump it all right okay i like this someone asked the other day if we ever use bailin twine to hold stuff together here's your answer you
