God Will Go Before You In This New Year | A Morning Prayer To Start Your Day

psalm chapter 16 verse 8 says i have set the lord always before me because he is at my right hand i shall not be moved in other words this verse is saying i always keep the lord in front of me when he is by my side i cannot be moved another translation says i keep my eyes always on the lord with him at my right hand i will not be shaken the key message being keep your eyes on the lord keep your eyes on jehovah and the bible says do this always continually consistently it means that if all is well with me then my eyes are still on jesus if i find that i'm struggling and i can't seem to find a way out of the mess that i'm in then my eyes are still and should still be on jesus whether the economy is good or bad whether my friends are there or if they have abandoned me my eyes are to always be on jesus christ and let's not take god's goodness for granted let's not act like he is not worthy to be praised and adored always because imagine if the son of god never took our sins and hung on a cross then where would we be it's something that is difficult to imagine what would have become of me if god almighty didn't extend his loving arms and call me to repentance what if god never loved the world so much that he never gave his only begotten son that would be unthinkable but praise be to the most high because this is not the case we are saved we are sanctified and we are redeemed by the precious blood of jesus christ the blameless lamb of god there is no better time to praise god than right now and i praise him because if it wasn't for jehovah jireh then who would provide for me if it wasn't for el shaddai god almighty then who would save me if it wasn't for the lion of the tribe of judah then who would be my protector you see there is no life without jesus and because of that fact i encourage you to start your day to start every day in prayer and now let us pray dear lord you are a savior to those who need to be saved you are shelter to those who need refuge a protector to those who need safety you are worthy to be praised and adored thank you for your sacrifice lord thank you for dying on a cross for me i did nothing to deserve that kind of love i did nothing to earn that kind of love but you still gave yourself for me and all i can do is thank you and open up my heart to you so that you can use me in your kingdom i worship you lord your word in isaiah 54 verse 10 says for the mountains shall depart and the hills be removed but my kindness shall not depart from you nor shall my covenant of peace be removed says the lord who has mercy on you give me peace lord even if there is chaos and trouble around me let my heart not be afraid of anything because you have promised that even if the mountains and hills be removed your kindness your promise of peace over my life will never be removed so i will not fear or be shaken because greater is he who is in me than he who is in the world when life appears to be unstable my soul will not be shaken my soul will not be moved because my god is a waymaker let your peace soothe and fill my heart lord i come against anything that is not of you you have given me a spirit of power and of love and of a sound mind so i ask that you remove everything that opposes the peace that you have given me the love and power that you have given me i welcome you holy spirit i invite you to encamp around me and i pray that you will invade my mind fill my home and fill my heart help me to realize the promises of god promises for peace that surpass all human understanding i invite you into my day holy spirit i pray that you move with me that you walk with me and speak to me i pray that you may be the still small voice that guides me today and when i encounter fear and worry i pray that you will move to calm my heart when i encounter things that discourage me and if my heart is to feel heavy i pray that the holy spirit will be my comfort be my comfort on those occasions when my life appears to be broken remind me of god's word and lead me back into the presence of jesus i confess that i have joy in my life because jesus christ has saved me i have freedom and a sound mind because i have laid my burdens before the lord i confess that there is peace in my life because i am washed by the blood of jesus christ i praise you lord for your abundant mercy and grace that reigns over my life i find strength in you because when i am worn out when i feel weak you are a god who renews my strength father i pray that you protect me in every storm if it is your will that i should endure then i pray that you will give me the grace and strength that is necessary protect me lord from the enemy so that he may never steal my joy protect me father and help me to guard my thoughts so that they may never be out of control and sinful let your peace rule in my heart and let your angels go before me when i go out and i pray that they stay by my side when i return calm my mind each day and help me not to have a troubled heart thank you for all the goodness that you offer i will continually place my trust in you and not lean on my own understanding because you are an all-knowing god i claim and declare your promises for blessings of peace and strength over my life you are worthy to be praised and i bless your name lord thank you for hearing this prayer in the mighty name of jesus christ i pray amen before we pray there are several attributes of god which i would like to remind you of and we can find these attributes in psalm chapter 36 from verse 5 to 10 the bible reads your mercy o lord is in the heavens your faithfulness reaches to the clouds your righteousness is like the great mountains your judgments are a great deep o lord you preserve man and beast how precious is your loving kindness oh god therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of your wings they are abundantly satisfied with the fullness of your house and you give them drink from the river of your pleasures for with you is the fountain of life in your light we see light o continue in your loving kindness to those who know you and your righteousness to the upright in heart and from this passage of scripture we come to understand god's attributes because when we look at verse 5 we find that the mercy of god is as high as the heavens it's unmeasurable his faithfulness is as far reaching as the clouds think about that from where you are right now all the way up to the clouds that's how far reaching his faithfulness is verse 6 describes his righteousness and it says it's like the great mountains and his judgment are a great deep meaning that he is holy and just in such a way that for us to understand just how righteous he is or how just he is david compared him to the great mountains think of mount everest the highest mountain on earth at over 8 800 meters above sea level god's righteousness is compared to that [Music] verse 6 also says you preserve man and beast i believe this is for us to understand that god holds and preserves the entire universe all of existence is preserved by the lord verse 7 is one that i find to be most comforting there is nothing on this earth worthy to compare god's love to so the psalmist simply describes his love as precious meaning that god's love is of great value to us it's not to be wasted or treated carelessly but we should appreciate his loving kindness we should be grateful thankful that he loves us another bible translation of verse 7 says how priceless is your unfailing love oh god and how reassuring is that to know that god's love is unfailing that's what makes it priceless because unlike the love of people the lord's love will never fail us so if you need a reason to smile today if you need a reason to be joyful hear me when i say this god loves you and the love that he has for you is unfailing and it's priceless and so with that understanding let us pray my heavenly father i rejoice today because of your precious love because of your unfailing love there is no one there is no other love comparable to yours in this world john 3 verse 16 tells me that for god so loved the world that he gave his one and only son that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life you gave your only begotten son jesus christ so that i may have a chance to be cleansed of my sins and saved out of love for me lord you allowed your son to go through unimaginable pain all because you did not want me to perish but to have everlasting life i praise you for this and i am overwhelmed at such a love as this i am able today to boldly declare that i am loved by you lord it's because of your precious love for me that i enjoy the blessings of warmth shelter and provision your mercy lord is as high as the heavens i thank you for your forgiveness i thank you for giving me another chance i thank you for showing me mercy and for not rejecting me because of my uncleanliness lord i want to take this time to offer up praises and thanksgiving to you you are my savior you are my protector you are my provider and i simply want to thank you and appreciate you i bless your holy name lord and i thank you king jesus for my loved ones and family holy spirit i invite you into my heart i pray that you will work within me so that i may have a heart of gratitude a heart of thanksgiving a heart which looks beyond the material things of this world but sees the peace that you have given me the protection you have given me the comfort you offer to me even the many blessings that you have afforded me i bless your name lord because you are a god who is true to your word for your word describes you as being the same yesterday today and forever you are the same god you were in the past and i know that i can trust in you in this present day and in the future psalm 118 verse 1 says o give thanks to the lord for he is good for his mercy endures forever indeed you are a god who is good all the time and i pray that i may be a person who is always filled with gratitude i pray that i may always be a believer who sings your praises and offers prayers of thanksgiving to you i thank you for being my healer i thank you for being the giver of life thank you for sustaining me and for loving me today i step into your presence with gladness in my heart and with joy you are the king of kings and the lord of lords you are the great i am you are more than enough to meet all of my needs and you are worthy of all praise and glory [Music] i am grateful to have you as my provider you are holy and
