incisor teeth bite pieces from food your canine teeth hold and tear food apart and your molars grind food [Music] that's plaque it contains bacteria [Music] oh bacteria are germs that's right and these germs feed on the food bits that get stuck in your teeth especially sugar the bacteria make acid that can create holes in your teeth cavities don't worry I know you're a good brusher fluorite ejector it's like a little vacuum cleaner to keep your mouth dry and this squirts air and water [Music] oops [Music] Dr Chu wants me to take an x-ray to see if you have any cavities this protects you visiting the firehouse there were so many things that made noise foreign [Music] but today George was being a very very quiet little monkey because the firehouse band was rehearsing for the annual pancake breakfast hold it hold it everybody this music's kind of I don't know lacking in something yeah like oomphen pizzazz exactly oh we'll get it let's just try it from the top and a one and a two George wondered if anyone was taking care of it he decided he would he'd keep it warm fed it and snuggled it to bed The Jug hour was quiet it must have fallen asleep George couldn't wait to tell Ali about it huh there is an owl in there you know an owl's small enough to fit in that jug has got to be a baby so there's probably a mommy dog owl nearby [Applause] good idea ideas in the barn of one of Bernie's banana bread you need a very special tool ah I know found it this was handed down from great grandfather Bernie to my grandfather who gave it to my dad his mixer hey do you want to do the mixing George okay you're on give it a crank [Music] hang on oh well it looks like Grandpa's hand mixer has mixed its last banana bread well Luke and Ada probably someone just like it in their store George do you mind squeaking that mixer a little less it's a bit uh oh just like little monkeys sometimes visited the doctor cars sometimes visited the repair shop sounds like you could use a checkup he seem to have a problem with lubrication like [Music] like you hear that squeaks you see the two metal Parts in that hinge are rubbing against each other that's what gives you a squeak now your car has lots of moving parts to keep them running smoothly you need one magic ingredient oil [Music] your car has a way of keeping itself oiled but if it runs out of oil exactly [Music] why sure you can oil it just put a drop on the hinge oh yep no more squeaks [Music] the mixer I see your problem [Music] good idea George but we'll need to use cooking oil for this we just need a teeny tiny bit again and then he remembered [Music] when double O doggy needed to follow someone without being seen he used a tracking device that made us sound only he could hear George didn't have anything only monkeys could hear [Music] but he did have a tracking device that didn't look like a tracking device [Music] a key ring for my favorite soccer team the Metropolis ringers it's so cool thanks George listen to that team spirit [Music] [Music] now double O monkey had two ways to stay on the trail sight [Music] and sound [Music] but cities are noisy places [Music] double O monkey couldn't hear or out the back [Music] no George that's not how you use it [Music] meanwhile Hundley was enjoying a Hundley sized Air Show my great grandfather flew a balloon from Florence to Paris aviators from every country went to Paris to race flying machines like all of these oh it would have been great to see that [Music] he could have flown in it flying looked almost as exciting as being a Lobby dog nice souvenir have fun it sure is hot in here the air conditioner stopped now that hundley's back I can leave my post to fix it mind helping out no problem George you want to stay here and help Huntley watch the lobby [Music] that fan made a strong wind [Music] George wanted to see how fast the plane would fly using the rubber band power plus the win from the fan [Music] but all Hundley wanted was to do his job and enjoy his balloon his balloon he'd let go of the string hello [Music] George had an idea only a monkey could think of ah and he knew just where the man kept his fishing pole oh meanwhile the hot room turned hundley's worries into a dream famous British Aviator Lieutenant Doxie flew to Paris for the 1909 International Air Show and race [Music] sir yes sir [Music] descending sir [Music] daring by pedal Aviator Mademoiselle Wiseman was also competing foreign ER dinner like last spring in Vienna isn't that that daring American Fly Boy Chuck monkey Chuck monkey was the first pilot to fly over the North Pole accidentally but he did it [Music] doxy worried chuck could win this race he'd heard it was hard to beat a monkey with a rubber band [Music] and there was the dynamic Leaning Tower team [Music] and who was this new competitor what happened [Music] helpful [Music] I am when you're friends with Scientists you never know when you might be called for a sciencey mission like helping chart undersea volcanoes in Hawaii [Music] and studying the habits of tropical fish now George had some time to relax George can you come out and play [Music] this was the first time Ali all questions that George had too fortunately he knew someone who knew all the answers where'd that box come from it was here when I got here no address no return address oh maybe it fell out of a truck it's one sure way to find out no George wait I didn't mean we should open it we don't know who it's from or if it's for us Ali's right it might have fallen off a delivery truck you know what I'll call the delivery company in town and see if they know anything about it lost and found I'd like to report a package I found in my yard oh a box that big I'll bet whatever's inside is the most what's inside is this tall and this wide oh hey my goat is this tall maybe it's a goat a goat why would anyone mail a goat mailing an elephant will be too expensive they weigh a ton [Music] [Applause] [Music] Ali gave George an idea if they know how much the box weighed that would give them another clue about what was inside 20 pounds now what weighs 20 pounds that could fit in that box is what a 20 pound goat weighs I'll show you [Music] Ali is Right a 20 pound goat weighs 20 pounds then again 20 pounds of anything weighs 20 pounds so it could be anything I keep thinking a 20 pound goat maybe because you've been looking at one if only there was a place you could see every 20 pound thing that would fit in a box that size realized there was [Music] it was called a store first they needed an empty box the same size as the one at home [Music] good thinking this way we'll know if a 20 pound thing is too big or too small to fit in the Box [Music] luckily the Country Store had everything foreign pillows were the right size but George needed to find something heavier [Music] weights could fit too [Music] definitely more than 20 pounds [Music] Offspring Georgian alley had a project a garden they dug holes planted seeds [Music] watered and waited tiny Sprout appeared before long they were the proud parents of a healthy growing Garden then one day Ally had some news it's all up to you now George it turned out Ali and the rankins were going on vacation for six weeks a garden George's hands every morning he watered and pulled out the weeds so the flowers had room to grow one day flowers started blooming [Music] George couldn't wait to send Ali a picture [Music] someone else was impressed with George and Ally's flowers too a tear oh George had to be careful not to scare the deer away [Music] the next morning George was eager to check his garden [Music] [Applause] flowers weren't supposed to go back into the ground were they hmm his dear friend was back [Music] it turned out that the deer like George's flowers too much horrible George could just imagine what Ali would say George didn't know what to do breakfast [Music] he had an idea maybe if George shared his oatmeal the deer wouldn't want to eat his garden [Music] but the deer didn't like oatmeal [Music] she liked flowers [Music] it was time to call in an expert hmm looks like a deer's been eating your flowers yep my mom had the same problem but last week she built a high fence and they all went way far away hmm there's plenty of grass and wildflowers for them to eat you just have to keep them out there hey maybe you could build a tall fence too a really high one they can't jump over [Music] let's see to buy wood for a real deer proof fence we'll need exactly way more money than we've got sure so the fence was out how else could George keep the deer away [Music] only one thing had kept the deer out so far [Music] you mean you want to stand in the garden all day [Music] George had built a scarecrow to keep pigeons away maybe he could make a scared deer the more pins people knock down the more money would be donated for Bubba links [Music] so the children were having a practice game before the tournament to get better at knocking down pins [Music] you see now you can practice with something that doesn't squish or squirt [Music] good you're here we have to cancel the tournament cancel the tournament we have an emergency normally I rack the children's bowling balls and Mr Berg polishes the shoes but Mrs Berg's back has been acting up so we switched lingers are stuck to drive him to the doctors on account of I can't steer with bowling ball hands ow there will be no one to hand out shoes or work the concession stand we can do it [Music] we keep all the shoes over here oh let's get you to the doctor before you do any more damage don't worry we'll have things back to normal in no time you think you can handle the shoes George I'll go get the popcorn started [Music] Berg sure had a lot of shoes luckily George had a lot of hands [Music] all the shoes were back in the Cubbies ah I got George and just in time the children's practice round was about to start this is my first time bowling but I know I'm gonna be good at it because my grandma always tells me how good I am at knocking things down around the house me and my team need shoes thanks George handing out shoes was easy summer and everyone's Garden was full of all kinds of fresh fruits and vegetables except George's all he had were cucumbers and more cucumbers um George next time try to plant different kinds of seeds instead of all the same kind [Music] well good thing I like cucumbers well let's find some more containers we can't leave those on the vine [Music] all the pots bowls and a few boots too but they finally got all the Cucumbers out of the garden into the house [Music] good job only what do we do with the rest of them foreign maybe they could build cucumber houses [Music] or cucumber boats George huh you ought to pickle those too it's easy I'll show you first I boiled these cucumbers for a few minutes then drained out the water it's called blanching now I'm ready to make my brine that's my pickling liquid brine is a boiled mixture of salt vinegar added water [Music] oh my well vinegar is in a lot of salad dressings but it's also used for pickling it makes the Cucumbers ferment ferment he's a fancy way to say enough food changes so that it won't spoila oh well we pour the brine over the cucumbers cover it up this is where it gets hard we wait ah get comfy pickling whole cucumbers takes about two weeks [Music] George loves snowy days [Music] wherever he wanted to go he could ride his debug oh oh my goodness morning George [Music] [Music] is that you inside that Snowman oh this that's my hockey stick I'm on the way to the ice rink oh wow sure try it out [Music] you don't hold it like a baseball bat George [Music] you don't want me to teach you how to play great let's go to the rink [Music] oh that's the ice resurfacing machine that makes the ice smooth so you can skate on it hey boys sorry to tell you this but the rake's closed for a week yeah the community theater is rehearsing for Goldilocks and the Three Bears on Ice [Music] well no harm done you can use the ring next week good tarps frozen solid could you give me a hand sure thanks [Music] the layer of ice on top made the Frozen tarp look just like a little ice rink [Music] I don't know George I think that tarps a little small to skate on hmm [Music] sure you can use that what do you great job getting help for your friend George I called your mom Bill she's going to meet you at the hospital you know I'm actually looking forward to going there you are up I've ever tasted it almost makes all this worth it [Music] hey George would you like to ride in the ambulance with us sure why not [Music] it's the paramedics job to give people first aid and bring them to the hospital George [Music] right and the ambulance has all the equipment we need it's almost like a rolling Hospital [Music] thank you hey Daddy hey there's Paula how's it going Barry hi Trish wow you seem to know a lot of people here yeah I've been in the hospital before oh yeah broke my arm playing chess not everybody well hello Bill what happened hurt my leg what was it this time checkers turkey sandwich it's a wristband for the doctors and nurses to keep track of all of us patients [Music] well Bill it looks like your leg is broken in three places really [Music] Bill's leg looked like it was all in one piece you can't see the break on the outside that's why we Radiologists use an x-ray machine it takes pictures of how you look on the inside ah George had seen an x-ray before [Music] that's right there are fractures here here and here what happened slipped on a turkey sandwich of course I should have guessed George thought he'd like to have an x-ray machine of his own [Music] looks like Bill's gonna need a cast so his leg can heal
