Game Dev Tycoon but I ruin the gaming industry

hey there friends how's it going my name is Kevin and you know what there's one thing I know in life and that's games it's like all I do it's like all I do is play video games so this is my area of expertise you could say which is why we're gonna rewrite history we're gonna go back to when pcs first came out and we're gonna start up a game company it seems like a solid bet look at a massive money that's in it now if I stat early surely I'll become a millionaire I can't wait to see how I mess this one up okay here we go this is game dev tycoon in this business simulation blah blah blah back in time game development in 35 years to build Dreamcoat yes do it before you can start your adventure you have to give your upcoming company a name well since I know what's gonna happen in the future I'm going to be Microsoft and my name will be [ __ ] that's just because I want the richest man in the world to be called [ __ ] and not Bill Gates I know he's not anymore I don't care stop complaining he can't look at his face what the hell oh well that's fine I guess I'll just get a profile view that guy kind of looks like [ __ ] all right he'll be our protagonist game number one what's a famous game we're gonna go right in with Grand Theft Auto we're gonna skip right past pong Henco for grand theft auto the world is ready we're gonna go just all I would spend all the money we can that's what Rocksteady with Grand Theft Auto so I should do the same what do we want em engine doesn't matter right now we'll just go about gameplay and and no story it doesn't matter either it just has to feel cool when you play it but there's no actual point to it okay there are just as many bugs as there are points in technology this isn't good it just works get rid of these don't need them I'm really focusing in on certain air hiss look like [ __ ] but it's gonna sound gracious oh my god I started with 70 grand one month in and I'm down 51 grand and I finished that bloody game okay pretty poorly received but sound went up loads and look at that it's got 97 points I thought it was like the review score is something they went right in there with [ __ ] not even a rating out of 10 just [ __ ] I got an achievement saying good judgment oh this game better be being sarcastic not much fun that's disappointing utterly uninspiring why there are like no games out at the moment how can it be uninspiring it must be amazing to you guys it's old 1700 units that is not good no my Studios in trouble all right let's just develop a new game my idea is you don't have to make good games you just have to get the good IPs in your studio and then once you own them bigger companies will buy them off yet so I'm going right in with Halo 3 skipping wanna do it's gonna be em a vocabulary game an action one somehow oh wait I can just put them all max great that's perfect he'll just take vacant ages doing it we're putting a lot more effort into this vocabulary game then we have our actual game I put graphics up full but I'm not sure how that would even work the game is text-based maybe it's just a really good font like Comic Sans I finish the game without fixing the bugs yeah well we can patch that later right they had that technology 35 years ago didn't they all right what are the reviews for Halo 3 pretty bad I mean we're getting there I mean we're getting trees which isn't bad we got a haste of money we got worse with Grand Theft Auto though all right now for the proper money maker fortnight I am running out of money like really [ __ ] fast I don't even have enough money to make this 2d graphics there's gonna be a text-based game to grant I thought it was now off the market why was it something to do with all the violence it can't be that it's just up ahead game no my god Call of Duty is amazing everybody loves Call of Duty oh my god this is my hit this is what I needed now I just gotta make it every single year until everyone hates it holy [ __ ] that might have actually saved me that might make me some money that's right buy up those Call of Duty copies make it another one now I know how Activision feels like Call of Duty 2 Call of Duty was so successful that we now have 33 fans Wow I've made it big now Call of Duty is achieved a company sales record with over 10 case the unit's soul this is an important milestone in the history of Microsoft I'm just gonna make it the exact same way as I did the last one this is how Call of Duty works they don't change anything so I'm just gonna keep it the exact same the same amount of effort goes into everything look at that the exact same yeah don't change a thing the highly anticipated sequel there has been no sequel as anticipate is this since track 2 and track 3 track 4 and Trek five when is it coming seven beautiful I'll take it that's not bad enjoyable not bad not bad we're clinging on to that Call of Duty franchise love it perfect all right time for call of duty three if only I could hire another developer to do it you know every fortnight I could do one in a month and he could do one in a month and we could just you know offset them every two weeks it'd be brilliant call of duty 3 we're gonna release on the tes we're gonna pay 80 grand for the license all right let's see how they react to call of duty 3 it's about two weeks later call of duty 2 is now off the market we just pulled that and released the new one immediately played it for days this is the solid franchise I was looking for the whole time I now know how Activision feels and I have no hard feelings for them because this is great I'm not changing anything and I just make loads of money I'm still operating out of my carriage and I've made like a third of a million all right time to mix it up this time call of duty modern warfare we're not gonna change anything about the game itself like at all we're just changing the name a little bit to get people excited all right this should be a hit we know from past experience they call the duty 4 was the one that really took off so I imagine it'll be the same in this what the [ __ ] you are wrong your opinion is wrong well if I've learned anything from Activision which I'm trying to mimic you just keep on making it the same anyway it was probably just they didn't like the modern warfare tag they needed that number in there because that's what people are used to okay it's clinging to life if only there was something in real life similar to this I kept pumping out the same game with a similar name that I could have learned from that maybe continuously making the same thing wouldn't have worked maybe he could have saved me but there was no way of me knowing I'm a pioneer in the industry still are selling well I've made like over half a million on $600,000 in profit create a new engine what's the engine call of duty runs that I don't know I was named after myself ladies and gentlemen I would like to unveil this [ __ ] engine your new game engine the [ __ ] is now complete okay awesome all right this is where we really mix things up Call of Duty 6 and I'm gonna use the ship engine oh this is gonna be a hit believe you me this is actually where call of duty started to change things up a bit so it's working in line with what Activision did and I trust they know what they're doing [ __ ] I just finished it with a load of bugs oh no this is gonna be bad doesn't matter I'm leveling up anyway yeah people are starting to tire of Call of Duty there's only one thing to do call of duty seven okay people are love and call of duty seven I turned it around which one was Call of Duty seven oh it was black ops I think people actually liked that one so yeah this is in line with what happened if Microsoft continues to innovate like this they might become a new fan favorite well awesome because the new Call of Duty is text base it has no story or save system I'm trying to just cash in on the name and make a load of money oh my god it's working somehow beautiful they say wow that Comic Sans is really working for them I think I created a better alternate reality where every Call of Duty game is amazing and they're released every two to three weeks all right it's time to branch out come on let's go up and make fort night - we're gonna make it for the game link I feel like it might be good to bring out the [ __ ] engine on the game link so you can game on the go and play some fort night while you're sitting down for dinner with your family I'm gonna ruin the next generation perfect okay they're not liking it as much as Call of Duty I bet if the name was Call of Duty they'd love it but it's just because it's called fortnight they're just like now fortnight too popular don't like I'm gonna make des per seat oh I know that's a song but I still think it would be good to get that name under Microsoft's name that way you know and the song comes out we can sue that's my long-term strategy for tonight's making a
