Fragile Tower Inside a Coin Pusher! Triple Dog Dare you to watch! Ep 91

[Music] hey everyone it's sheri and john for we play you when patricia stevens suggested that we do a christmas story game and if you're not familiar with that it's a hilarious movie that comes out each year and it's about a boy who wants a red ryder bb gun which don has reproduced in quarters here in the front of the game and that believe it or not is a very ugly leg why a leg because dad the dad in this movie won a major award he was always entering crazy contests and he won a major award which was a lamp that looked like a human lady's leg where he was business oh wow the tower's raining oh the lake labels falling apart already folks that's pretty cool now in the movie ralphie's dad was very proud of this major award leg lamp and he displayed it prominently in the front picture window of the whole house his wife however was not thrilled with it and an incident occurred wherein the mother oh accidentally my turn sherry's gonna keep talking absolutely broke to dad's leg now in the leg lamp our game pieces are oh it's going it's falling more whoa the dad that's the one now we need to get i'm the mom john's the dad now i promise i won't i won't start cussing at the furnace please don't now we need to get both of us need to have the leg lamp be into to the price shoot but john wants the dad token and i want the mom token and we'll see what happens if i get my token in i can just play my leg lamp on the front window of the house in all of its glory i wouldn't be thrilled with the cat and although i've considered they're kind of they're spendy but someday future hall future goal maybe someday we'll get a lego and display it in the window of this room that would be a fun thing it's not falling yet it's like falling apart he's waving at me to smile it's just so cool check it out check that out i mean i know he's dissolving his dissolving it's pretty cool there's a deck of cards behind it that's not getting moved yeah it's like it's kind of cool it's dissolving and the camera is going to catch some of that but not all of that i had to rebuild that top i can't tell you how many times why i got really frustrated with this and then john finished it's the lamp shade of the lamp that's just dissolving on you no the lampshade it was made of dollar bills this is the leg itself is just crumbling but in a very attractive way that's so cool that tower's not moving at all but it should fall apart let me tell you five dollars doesn't buy much these days oh it's your turn oh oh okay gun's moving the pole yeah we've got the pole there's a boy click [Music] if you're ever crazy enough to stick your tongue on a frozen pool please don't just pour some water on your tongue and you'll get loose and the fried chili box is dissolving down there it's falling apart but remarkably look how far that pole is moving did you put quarters under it yeah i thought that's what happened that's sliding them quarters they act just like furniture movers wow wow and here i'm gonna jinx it but notice all the quarters are actually landing on the pusher shelf they're not landing in the pez dispenser well and checking out that that red rider bb gun wall is staying in one piece as it's getting pushed it is it's not falling apart or moving oh look at those quarters oh wow oh there goes the crate man that that crate was definitely fragile [Music] the butt of it's still in good shape though just it is the rest of it's kind of decided detected by the mystery hey john wow how can our viewers win that mystery bag oh hey folks if you want to win our mystery bag the play field drops off into the price on the left [Music] [Music] it might fall i don't know which way it's going to fall it's trying to stay standing up okay my five dollars on playing behind the tower again i can't believe that pole made it all the way to the edge of the coin pusher now the lip that i was mentioning when you walk it's adjustable you can make it really high so it's hard to get stuff into the price sheet or you can set it low so it's not quite as difficult we have it set as low as it goes when you're in a casino or an arcade they said it so it's way harder [Music] it is leaning against the front face of the coin pusher at this point oh man got a lot of coins falling off the front of the coin pusher now i had a prize get stuck on more than one occasion get stuck and ask the carnival guy hey can you get that out for me and he says yeah it's not your prize so it's in your hand kid so all right i'm going to slightly adjust the camera a little bit folks and kind of see what's going on there yeah wow you put a troll in there oh my gosh there's a troll i watched you and i did not see you do that oh my goodness i watched you don't wonder like a tube and there was nothing in it it's no wonder it stayed together folks the troll was keeping that pole together so it could walk across the clinton push your shelf and now just look at it there it is it's just stuck there on the ledge nobody can win this game unless we knock that dog down that's right we gotta knock down the rest of this massive coin tower [Applause] that power is it has moved a little bit it's actually moved uh a quarter half a quarter that's length much a quarter is like an inch okay i can hear the machine and it is struggling a little bit we need to knock it down so we don't burn out the motor probably that that weighs several pounds and john's turn oh you know it may be that that coin tower leg lamp will be a dissolving lamp tonight and that roll of bills with the troll in it is wedged between me it can stay there all night i'm okay with that always wedge between the quarters oh that tower is not coming down no and it's the machine is struggling a little by little it might dissolve on us i hope so because i think you have to push and those those cards that are behind it and you've got to clear up the loot camp oh look who came to join us folks it's our friendly neighborhood purple [Music] troll all right sherry go ahead and go didn't i just go oh that's right you did let me go yeah you go i completely forgot it's my turn i got troll distracted i got trolls you could have but you know right now it's just plain cooperative because we got to get we need to knock that leg we have to knock down the lamp once we knock it down our pieces come into play lightly if you've got bumpy bumpy thighs so you're like i'm not sure wise man okay here i go my five dollars down the middle oh i'm really nervous about the machine is really working hard oh a couple more down a couple more down a couple more oh there it and it's your shirt it's not gonna fall that tower is slowly dissolving we're gonna run out of ammunition that's all right that's why we have plenty to go with all right the tower has moved up a couple millimeters closer to the lip both it's actually on the lip and trying to climb it there's a lip on the pusher shelf also just like the one i was telling you about in the front but that one is not adjustable there's nothing you can do about it to make it easier or more difficult it's just bent that way i'm on target but there's so much mass it's just hey hey it's leaning over the ledge now it's over the front face it is it's actually over that front face right now so it's kind of hard to tell but there is the leading edge of the lower quarters on that tower are hanging over now if you have never seen a christmas story you should see it it's pretty you see it once it is it's a funny movie there are other the main character ralphie now this is about a thing about his life in the 1940s in indiana it's a good story it's a good story but there are other relative stories also much harder to find too harder to find ralphie's first job as a teenager ralphie going fishing with his dad these are these are great stories so there are they have been filmed so you can find them filmed but there are wealthy stories and probably a bunch of them that i don't know that are out there in books you can always just crack models open that's right oh there we go yeah that knocked down a fire is just going to become loop very clear [Music] all right this tower is slowly working over and we might this tower might actually lean or actually lean over the front face of the pusher shelf an entire corner now if you're not a subscriber to this the corners on the base of this tower are actually sticking out oh dissolving some more good take some weight off there we go the more weight we take out especially after thanksgiving let me tell you i'll tell you the quarantine 15 is real i have put on some pounds okay here we go i'm playing right behind the tower as much as i can sometimes these quarters have a mind of their own i do and that tower is definitely going to oh okay they don't knock down fire and that tower is continuing to dissolve and i'm actually stretching to make sure that the motor is not running off we are good he has so much faith in it i do it's a robust machine it is but there's a limit that is way heavier and a push and another push and folks the tower is slowly coming undone just like the dad in christmas stores you're gonna say you know what there's a stack of silver strikes and bitcoins in there if all the quarters dissolve i wonder if we will have a stack that would be interesting well i hope we have a lot of viewers who like the long games because i think this is going to be a long game oh wow i remember once upon a time one of my favorite scenes from christmas story was the fud so ralphie is okay somebody stacked these quarters so in the fudge scene from christmas story let's see does that start off with the uh big deal he gets to help his dad change his tires oh just move to quarter just move the corner over oh that's night time and his dad doesn't know what to have this little kid do to help him so he hands him the hubcap and tells him hold this so i can put the lug nuts in so ralphie's holding the hubcap and somehow he manages oh john can you get that loon somehow he manages to drop the hubcap and he loses all the lug nuts in the dark on the side of the road and he uses the a bad word he said fudge but that's not the word he used use he did he used the words but oh here we go oh look at that tower it's dissolving there on the right did you get those i did i did and some more let me throw up i'll do another clear on the okay jam all right come on push push push yeah this is gonna be bad oh there we go we're starting to dissolve well this certainly makes it interesting because the play field is going to be pretty clear so it should be great to watch those tokens move once we get this cleared this is really we're still going to have those silver strikes all right we'll do a straight across all the way and do another one and another just load this up and it's slowly leaning over right there okay my turn i'm trying to get him in the middle i really want him in the middle they don't so much want to be in the middle i guess i'm [Music] there's a quarter standing up on edge right next to the art lay down heard me talking about it it's always the way and it's john's turn now those corners on the bottom are at least a third of the way almost a half they are [Music] oh and another big push the dad in this movie he was so proud he was always entering these little little puzzles right like puzzles that you find in the newspaper or in magazines would enter these things it was this thing he liked to do you know everyone needs a hobby and that was the dad's hobby and he won this it was a major award i don't think he'd ever actually won anything before he was so excited about it was so proud of it but this was really not an appropriate lamp to have in the front right in the front window lit up prominently for the whole neighborhood to think it was a gentleman's club or something oh come on the mom was not happy come on i mean there was no discussion he just decided it was going there he didn't think twice about it he was putting it there and the mom was mortified what's wrong with that i mean the leg lamp is classy it's awesome it's amazing that's pretty cool hey the mystery bag check it out it's starting to go it's trying to sometimes the mystery dang it i'll take it sorry he got me he got me he put a troll on the coin slot and i should know better because nine times out of ten he gets me by putting it on a coin slot because i get really focused i'm focused on what i'm doing he got me looking at the mystery bag i'm so close to falling too folks mr dag is right there it's there but i don't think it's close it's your turn you know i like to think of this of this tower that was a leg lamp maybe it's more like the furnace you have adapters fight with that furnace in the middle and fired was always fighting it when i was a kid we had a we had a whole furnace that was converted to natural gas and it was huge this was a huge thing you couldn't fit it in a in a kid's bedroom nowadays this was just a big thing with big octopus arms all nicely wrapped in asbestos yeah can't believe how long your turn that this furnace is taking to knock off the push yourself yes but we've already revealed three silver strikes within it there's another one inside it'll be really cool to see if we get left with a bunch of silver strikes it is and another push and another push okay i'm gonna play right down the middle what else can i do right i'm trying to go down the middle it's trying to go i'm gonna swap out for a bucket okay there was movement and it's john's turn but i've got a little more push going on okay john your turn all right we are working on this tower because there are three game pieces inside we've got the mom you got the dad and of course the leg lamp i am playing the dad and i want to display that a major award oh falling apart some more in the front window it's hanging over the ledge it's hanging i'm going to play left a little bit and see what happens i think it's climbing up though you can see it kind of climbing in the same way over that lift let's see wow i'm learning my lessons don't make them this heavy on the push-ups oh as it gets lighter and lighter it'll want to push off that push yourself more easily i hope so because we haven't even gotten the game pieces out yet and it pushes up an hour oh yes there it goes oh it's notice i think it's starting to jiggle a little bit it is it's got some jiggle in that tower just like i do on my hips after thanksgiving a little bit too much jiggle you don't put it on on your hips dear [Music] and come on there we go [Music] there are quarters that are probably just like 1 16 of an inch holding it on they are like a millimeter oh and they're just leaning over that ledge just a little bit and with these tightly interlocked structures like this oh look at that it's falling off the bottom this is incredible folks crazy whoa it's just like the fern is slowly dying in the christmas store i don't think that happened like that wow or maybe it's like the dogs running through the house with the turkey i don't know oh yeah the neighbors dogs came in and stole the thanksgiving turkey there was only an hour left so the whole house smelled like turkey and they had no turkey yes and it's john's turn it is oh check that out it is just it is dying a very slow death or something oh it's resistant it is these interlock towers are really strong and then this is a stuffed interlock tank hey we've got mystery bag down loot cam down want me to stop this nope just keep going we've got a thousand dollars and a mystery bag and a loot cam that is still working it's actually still working it's gone no it's still working still there's low battery notification we're still good do you solve money just go ahead and go okay i'm gonna go ahead and go this happens sometimes but it's funny to get a low battery notification [Music] hey you know sometimes these things happen we've sometimes had the loot cam just decide it's done your turn john oh and a push there was a number of years ago there was a house like in california or something that was hanging off the cliff do you remember that oh i that was good i felt terrible for those folks take another little push it's crumbling it's crumbling it is all right playing straight across wait wait wait wait and drop it yeah we definitely don't have enough ammunition oh and that tower it's it's more than a quarter over now it's like two quarters over ten thousand dollars it's practically bridging itself over the troll hole [Music] yeah it's it's actually leaning all the way over the troll hole now folks and still staying together this is crazy sauce okay i got one right in the back of it come on [Music] there's funky sounds john coffee sounds with yourselves that sounds of activity in a bonus hole and a push john's turn all right here we go we have one two three four five six seven oh silver strikes in a stuffed tower sounds a little bit like and you still can't see the game nope crazy and another push and here we go we've got to get those pieces out now i liked ralphie's little brother i can't remember what his little randy my little brother randy his mom bundled him up for school and anyone who lives in a cold climate this kid was bundled up in a snowstorm she gets them all bundled up and he couldn't put his arms down the poor kid she said we need to put your arms down when you get to school so on the walk to school randy falls down in the snow and not only can he not put down his arms he can't get up from like from a prone position and she just starts shouting for his brother i can't get up i can't get up his brother had to rescue him my arms my arm for randy but i remember snow suits all right let's see still working on that tower in his only is probably what is this a third of it left is this the third disappointing so hard to say it has with stole withstood hundreds of quarters being thrown at it okay when it goes it's gonna be fine if it goes which is gonna go first the motor or the tower the tower of course look at there it goes it's dissolving again it's like a blooming onion it's slowly blooming you know it's very much like a blooming flower it's just coming unfurl did you see that i did hold on i'm looking to see if i can see anything no i always see silver strikes tons of silver strikes i had no idea how many silver strikes were in this i've never seen them stacked like this before hey you know what's under all the bitcoins holy smokes so are you saying that the game pieces are on the very bottom of that tower no they're between the silver strikes and the good seats oh man all right folks here we go and one more push let's see if we can get that tower down [Music] now when i was a kid i remember everybody would wear this rubber galoshes things they just call them rubber over your shoes and you'd have to cram your shoes in and you'd put like a plastic bread bag on your shoe and then it would slide into the rubbers better but it was still it was not easy to get these things on and off and now i think about my poor teacher 25 30 kids or so having to get them unbundled in the morning in the afternoon that would be crazy and we went home in the middle of the day we walked home for lunch in chicago in chicago right still it gets cold in chicago some more corners coming out jumbo job my turn your turn okay jump the gun on you there we go [Music] come on cooperate and stay in the middle i'm gonna see if i can stack them [Music] sometimes if you can build a pile up i know most people will say don't stack them but this is a different situation when you have structures sometimes you need to stack them so that you get more mass pushing behind this big heavy thing and it's your turn there are quarters that are barely hanging i mean this thing is almost at the so it's a third of the way over the lip it is it's a third of the way over the lip one third of it is over that lip and i don't know why there are still quarters on that side that's that's the strength oh that was a big drop yep so yeah i do know why but i'm surprised okay let's see what we can do sherry's turn again i'm trying to go in the middle but of course they're all going on the side so let me try and do my strap can't them that either this is just not my turn they're wanting to split they're not staying in the middle right now they're like rolling to the sides the machine is level i keep yelling at john tell him the machine must not be level and he checks it and we actually have a level on the camera mount that we take off and check the machine every so often it turns on all right here we go all right and folks very good oh i want to start playing right a little bit there's something going on well john's a very good sport about furniture or paint colors or curtains or whatever he's a really good sport he doesn't care if that's what i want to do feel like even though i don't always have the best ideas okay john you know would be awesome if i got a coin pusher machine now that's a decorating choice and it's john stern all right here we go it is so close it's gotta go i'm gonna play a little bit right there's some quarters doing some interesting things on the right i don't think it's all that interesting anymore oh i am i'm seeing something cause i thought it was something i was really hoping it looked like something was happening but something happened it has stopped happening i thought i could knock a quarter out of the right side of it okay back to cherry go on to the middle of course i don't want to land in the middle there's a video that's 45 minutes long before you even get into the actual gameplay it's always good for nothing to happen when you drop the quarters fall down tower there we go and it's your turn gotta get that tower down we gotta get those silver strikes out of it we've gotta get the bitcoins out of it and we've gotta get those tokens out of it you know it's just like ralphie wearing the pink bunny suit he had to wear it he had to do it he had no choice his mom made him well that was dad wasn't that his was it an aunt or his great aunt or his grandmother gave it to him okay here we go it was a beautifully made costume but for a boy who was in i don't know what grade relative was in she was not happy i wouldn't make my kid put that on on christmas morning big pink easter bunny looking a little girl might have loved it but little boy not so much i i like the uh your turn john the quote-unquote make-believe scenes in christmas story like the western gun shootout yeah those are those were great fun all the crazy things you think about when you're a kid stories did you think i was logical oh maybe one of these weight changes push hopefully [Music] famous last words this will be enough ammunition all right well sometimes the game just takes a while to get started you gotta do your due diligence and we gotta get this tower down we have definitely battled some pretty strong towers in our days this is the first time we've had a tower like this on the first on the pusher shop and i think this is the most stuffed tower you've built yeah i was trying to make a leg and it just didn't want to be a little it didn't all right sherry your turn and then i tried putting this shade on it made of dollars and it didn't want to be a leg or a lamp come on fall down i hear lots of things falling in a bucket of quarters [Music] well a little birdie has told me we should play one side so for a little bit what side should we play should we play left to right i'm thinking left there's less room on the left maybe we get some more pushes if we keep pushing on the left so i'll listen to the little birdie and play the left see if it helps and a push we are trying to play just the left we're getting some rollover to the right i'm i'm just going to play straight left here drop the other side left idiot yeah a little further and here we go see they're gonna go where they want to go and one more here we go okay play the left [Music] see if we can make something happen here [Music] wow all right [Music] oh and a good push and that tower is oh it wiggled you were playing left there and it wiggled okay we got some wiggle playing left wiggle's always good in a tower so that means you're making movement so we'll keep that up and uh we might switch it up and hit hit hit it on the right here in a few moments so i'm gonna play the rest of this hand on the left because sherry got some wiggle and jiggle in that tower let's see what happens all right in europe actually this is north america [Music] yeah up give me a push give me a push give me a push oh it's pretty incredible looking down underneath it the other thing that's happening is those coins on the front ledge the front leading edge of that tower the reason they haven't fallen is they are there's a bitcoin wedged underneath them that is keeping them in place and so those bitcoins are actually keeping the tower and going down okay usually anything inside the tower at the bottom makes the towel fall it does because the quarter will try to slide into the into the tower and it will push whatever's in the tower through the front wall but that's on the bottom shelf which is very slick and slippery on this top shelf it's just aluminum metal base it's grippy bent wow this is gonna be a game that we don't win one of us will win whoever can endure the longest but yeah but definitely you know a way to con if you were ever running a coin pusher in a in an arcade and you want to confound your players build some stuff towers and put them on the pusher shelf i would never recommend anybody this is too much it's the motor's a lot happier now lost a lot of weight it has it's true are we playing in the middle now yeah or maybe we should play right a little bit see what happens if we play right well there's stuff falling off the tower yes i'm gonna stay where i am because stuff fell off the tower sounds like a plan cherry's playing down the center i guess maybe an external plans all right i'm gonna play right played left for a while i'm playing right see if we can get some more wiggle and jiggle in the tower if this was christmas story i'd be down in the basement yelling at the purse yes teaching my kids how to say the word fudge no [Music] okay i'm gonna play on the side insanity is doing the same thing over and over again expecting a different result so i'm going to play on the side there we go push that bitcoin is almost at the halfway point there's 20. there we go and this tower is now leaning way over the troll hole or the bonus hole in fact if a quarter were to fall off from the bottom of the tower it would fall into the patrol that's how far it's hanging over yeah it's it's a good couple inches three inches because look how count the corners [Music] it's almost three inches hanging out it is holding together that's whacking and dropping on the right and two more on the right tower another quarter fell off the tower this is like a game of rampage you just have to tear the tower down one layer at a time i don't think i ever played rampage sounds like a boy game oh it was a great arcade game back in the day we all know real games did quarters you had to play it with quarters too i know what i'm saying he said it was a great thing that's a lot of quarters and a thousand dollars all right i'm continuing to play right and see if some magic happens keep that wiggling jiggle going on in that tower at some point i expect the silver strikes will just go folk i had planned on building a giant christmas tree on the pusher shelf the next game and i'm rethinking that plan because it would be heavier than this and this doesn't really work i'm trying to get them a little bit to the right of center it looks like there's a stack of quarters kind of helping hold it let me see if i can dislodge and you might as well go john all right here we go is the incredible impossible tower this is now the impossible tower of christmas story quite incredible i'm impressed and the push i'm going to start playing center again i've been playing right for a while i almost took this down and just gave up but i spent so much time drawing the leg lamp i was determined now i'm rethinking the entire thing [Music] [Music] i'm hoping to knock these quarters out on the right side of it right at the base that looks like what it's holding on there that's what's holding you up so folks some of you some of you have probably played coin pushes before and some of you maybe haven't and one of the things that coin pushers do is you're only able to put one quarter in at a time in this particular coin pusher so there's not like multiple slots that we can drop in there's only one slot that we can drop quarters in there are some models that you can put a bunch there are that's correct and this model though is just a single coin slot we can move the coin slot but we can't do like a double or triple drop or have two of us play because as we know from the story of christmas story what happens when somebody gets a hold of a leg lamp it's not a pretty ending and i want my fred julie lamp to be on display that's my major award right there she was watering the house uh-huh sure i'm sure she felt really bad afterwards well i don't know how bad she felt about it i think she did feel a little bad about it she loves her husband i'm gonna try and dislodge his corners [Music] all right there we go thanks folks for not minding us breaking the golden rule of no skill stop we might have done that earlier but we really don't like breaking that rule but you know that was quite the battle and we want to get this game of moving it might be a very short game because i see what's right there in front there's a silver strike and right behind it is the leg lamp i would reach into the loop cam but i fear life well i will reach in momentarily and you're taller than me all right hold on that silver strike is about to go check it out the silver strike is going oh it's waiting for someone to stick i'm reaching in now why do i suffer this folks i trust my husband i foolishly trust my husband people have asked my father if he tells lies he said i only lie to my wife just tell me look at something oh there goes that leg lamp uh oh i'm gonna lose all of this and i'm going to lose there goes the leg lamp i went through all this and i'm going to lose i'm going to get those pieces did not scatter it when they fell but that was an epic crash oh there goes the leg lamp sherry got it he's got there before me they're all in there oh my gosh wait a minute mine was the last one to follow right so hold on a second this folks is this was unusual for us all three tokens actually came out on the same push show off my awesomeness here let me hand this to you so folks that was an incredible game it actually ended in a complete tie which is very similar to what happened in the movie and uh where in the end what are you talking about remember what happened with the light lamp did you end up on display at the end no wasn't it glued together but it fell apart it did fall apart but she felt really bad the mom and dad in that movie had different ideas about decorating mystery bag question have you ever with a spouse or maybe you saw your parents have this problem or maybe you had a friend that had this problem or you had a roommate you had this problem with that had very different ideas about how your house should be decorated then you had because that i'm pretty lucky john's a very easygoing guy he doesn't care as long as it doesn't make the decisions i don't care yeah he's okay with that and i just need a place to sit that's the mystery bed question you can't get it wrong you can just say nope never read the problem and that's a valid answer but we'd like to hear about it because i'm sure we have some interesting stories out there you folks always have some crazy stories thank you so much for for
