Fixing Up The Loader And Testing It Out

power [Music] [Music] [Music] it's those two bolts in it let her down i'm not saying there was any dirt in there but there's a little dirt in there hey charlie i think i got dirty it's power washed yeah now we need to power wash you i think you need to hold the camera and and uh let them see what i look like it's probably there's not been a long time a long time like when have you ever been dirtier is what i want to know i'm wondering it's been a while that i don't remember i don't look here i feel like i know when i got my rain suit i figured oh i don't need my pants so the pit is designed that you can get underneath a piece of equipment to pressure wash it and you think and you think i'm dirty now yes [Music] [Music] oh yeah [Music] we're gonna put it up in the shot and get out of the ring what fancy [Music] [Applause] all right we're in the shop now got it over top of the pit go ahead what that's why we don't have a truck left because you can't put a hole in the truck no it's kind of hard to put a bulldozer on a a truck lift so we got everything power washed out the best we could that was level with dirt all the way through there we're going to try to get this loader lock freed and locked on there so we can load raise the uh loader up all the way get out of the way but let's see what she looks like under there how bad does it look under there so before we pull it out we'll probably pressure water here again yeah i tried to get what i could but oh yeah that that's another thing so you got a dream it's got a drain with a sump pump in it and you can you can get underneath here and wash out drain plugs up in there so you can get to that motor roll okay so it looks like the belly pan has been off and been a couple of times but they're simple yeah i can't figure out where to put the depth but other than that yeah i mean i think it goes in that field cap over there up on the right but yeah we'll clean that up figure out where that leaks coming from and i would say there's not many options so i would say it's probably one of these lines right here but i could be wrong yeah so we'll fire it up and uh see where she comes leaks from so there is that's what i think yeah so we got that free now raise it up and let it hook on or how about you uh raise it up since you're up there and i'll get it hooked on there so this is how it slides in you pull this out and then it'll slide in okay and it looks like it could be a finger getter i'll be careful i think you're gonna let it down a little little bit a little more a little bit more ready to see what that oil looks like early so you're ready to see what that oil looks like [Music] oh seven gallons yeah if you do that we will i already need some paper towels so get ready because it's probably gonna be not nice seven seven gallons is about to come gushing out [Music] there we go now it's under control somewhat [Music] [Music] all right we're good we had a little glitch there he got close he got close all right can i see him no it's a good filter when you gotta blow the dust off of it [Music] need a step stool [Music] so that was a bad idea [Music] about a mile long man [Music] all right so i heat my shop with you oh boy with waste oil so we don't we don't throw it away there's the waste oil heater over there first year i heated it with a heat pump which is over there was a little on the high a little a little on the expensive side yeah i want to say uh that was in dire need of being changed so the oil doesn't look bad it's like they changed the oil and didn't change the filter yeah they probably didn't know how to change the filter all right we got all the uh filter housing is that what do you think what you call that filter housing yeah old canisters canister if you want to hold that i'll uh put the new filter in there that old filter draining so you don't never put oil uh charlie the filter's bigger than this uh-oh the nap is closed too um oh yeah that's oh boy they gave us their own filter charlie or maybe they gave us the right filter but that's the one better than that i think i've got an engine around here we can take it and we can upgrade it i keep that what are you going to do [Music] what are you gonna do change the filter housing oh that's what i did with the d4 i think i got a motor out here right oh we'll just update it to a spin-on filter instead of a cartridge and that'd be easier for you to find too yeah okay because all the cat or most all the cats take that filter all right looks like three bombs went off around this place over about a period of four years but the good thing is if you're correct there's one over here in the boneyard i bought this motor for 500 from a guy in wilmington delaware out of a 215 it was a spare mode of spare parts and yep i hadn't robbed the filter housing off and so you take these bolts out here and that there and that should even then you can put a spin on filter on it they're all all these old motors is that the primer right there no that's just where you can check that's where you can check on oh how much oil pressure you got got you so we need to get the tools to take that off 9 16 that's it that's what that takes you know oh gasket [Music] there she is i'm going to cling around i'll go power wash that they still got oil in it at least you didn't get it on me that's the yeah enough that's all this thing does bounce around a lot got a snore crashers gonna put dirty five foot pounds on it but well if we had it well you got it you just can't locate it when we were putting tell you i do the 30 30 30 feet 30 seconds that's right so somebody weld a belly pan on here obviously well i'm going to say they got tired of it falling off well i have a feeling the home slice use this for some stuff it shouldn't have been used for and now we need that uh yeah right there i'll go get the ratchets a possibility [Music] yeah that's supposed to have bolts in it well they welded it probably because the bolts were broke off oh yeah i see the welds there now [Music] yeah put six in it we'll check it i think it's supposed to hold seven [Music] aggravate dipstick seems like it's going better now sticks been bent a little bit all right a little bit more so that's six gallons what'd you say last time just dump a gallon in it go to work when we were looking at it you were like it's like you don't check the oil you just dump a gallon in it and you go to work [Music] [Music] so [Music] what kind of contraption you got there charlie so um i messed with generators a little bit i buy and sell them and buy and keep them and pour them and blood i rub my hands across and so i sold a few generators and in with the deal um we bought we clean them up paint them put new belts hoses thermostats stuff like that check them all over and then one time a year we go to where they're at we pump the fuel out i mix it in with my fuel that i burn in my equipment filter and then then i put fresh fuel in the generator so yeah it's only a year old it doesn't hurt to cut it in with you know 500 gallons or whatever so this is what i use to pump it out so currently we're pumping the fuel out of that tank because we're going to take the tank off and power wash it out and get all the nastiness out of it and you've got a tank over here to pump it in and then you put it in your heater over there yeah because i i don't know anything about this fuel so i'm just going to burn up my own stuff yeah and we'll put some fresh in there for you we got that little light so we're taking the uh bolts out of the fuel tank now and we got all the pump via all the fuel pumped out of it take the tank off you're good take take off and get all the sludge cleaned out of it that's the there you go [Music] we're going to uh go spin it around is it a clear shot to go outside [Music] see what we can do right now is we got the tank out there's how many baffles in here three two or three one two three three baffles so we can clean in the fill cap so you got a piece of four inch i'm gonna cut it split it in half i'm gonna take a hole saw find me a flat spot i'm gonna cut a hole in the bottom of this and i'm gonna weld this in here so that i can go in there with a pressure washer clean it all out and then we'll put a cap in it or plug in it with a drain so you can always drain your water and your sediment out so it don't get into the so let me find the hole saw okay [Music] nobody ever put no gas in it [Music] so [Music] must be [Music] so [Music] [Music] hmm [Music] that's one more [Music] [Music] thank goodness this is not flammable right well the first thing he said is i hope nobody put gas in this tank [Music] yeah i hope nobody ever accidentally put gas oh and you know they they've most definitely go to that uh oh the baffles the whole entire tank oh look at the food that might be your problem oh there's the good stuff that was clogging it up it run like a pup though it spun round [Music] like i said hopefully nobody ever damn put gas in this this is what i'm talking about are you saying that's the problem that tank is clean it's like a steaming turd that's just the plasma cutter you know where it's clean it's clean enough right there was so i'm gonna measure from here and i'm gonna do the same thing over here i'm gonna put two in that way i can split this baffle that way i can get in here i can get in there get here there because there's a baffle here yeah otherwise that side's going to have stuff in it i won't be able to get this out that's correct i can get i can get out where the fuel cap is yep and you can get that side that'll wash over and that that somebody did a phenomenal job cutting that in half so now we have two hopefully you have plugs if not we'll just never finish filling it hybrid model i don't know how good we can see outside but uh oh i got it we got the full the fuel tank out here tank's got baffles in it so we cut a whole center of that one that way that side can get washed out this side and a smaller hole here for the power washer to go in and clean that out fuel cap is right there so everything should wash out and drain down to right there all the sludge and everything [Music] it's almost like that was made to fit in there i'm going to um sit down and get my strap a little straighter [Music] the tank's still nice and warm so we uh got the fuel tank cleaned out last night we ended up cutting three holes or two holes in it the power washer to fit in now we're gonna weld some plugs in here and caps i'll have a nice drain plug if i ever need to clean that out and i have another uh we'll weld another one in right here that fitting right there and weld all that back up so you can only imagine all the stuff that come out we'll put the fuel tank back on uh josh is here he's gonna help we're going to start getting some grease fittings to take grease on the bucket i went around greased everything and i got probably none of them take grease on the bucket um some of these pins they just wheeled plates over them to keep them in place so uh yeah all these pins are welded in and um i won't never wear it out so i'm not really too worried about it i just want to get them welded back up so that they won't fall out and charlie's gonna weld these plugs in and then we put the tank back on can't we [Music] so all right so we got the plugs well well we didn't charlie charlie welded the plugs in and i had a couple leaks one on this one and one on that one or two on this one that one so uh got it welded up letting it cool off and we're spraying some soapy water around it we're gonna put a little air in the tank and make sure we don't have any leakage so if you have a leak it'll bubble just like a tire does luckily there's a shutoff valve you can put some air in there spray it and that's where our leak was right there and i don't see anything now i think we got it yep back on the uh truck loader it goes all right we got it uh hooked back up to the crane a little paint put on it set the tank back in place [Music] uh we know now [Music] [Music] let me get my crowbar in there again [Music] one more time [Music] all right [Music] [Music] [Music] if you can push it over it's almost on the bracket you got a picture [Music] there we go and down there we go right there now we just gotta line the holes up they were swapped oh they got put in the wrong spot [Music] well that went better than it did coming off yeah only four bolts four big bolts [Music] and put our fuel line back on and we're gonna need some go-go juice [Music] fuel tank is on got 10 gallons of fuel in it yeah prime it up there real good you might have to do both of them with a full tank replacement yeah pump it up real good cross our fingers [Music] [Music] all right well we got it all serviced up most of the leaks fixed most of the fitting state grease still got to put all the panels back on i'm gonna push up a little bit of
