[Applause] all glory to god you may be seated so thankful to be the redeemed on tonight's the testimony within himself amen amen i give honor to god who reigns over my life i love him so much give honor to my leaders apostle herman l murray first lady danielle murray and dr shirley murray i thank god for them and the topic of my text tonight is what my salvation means to me the book of genesis chapter 2 verse 7 says when god formed man god breathed into his nostrils the breath of life and man became a living soul see the night i was saved i was on my deathbed i was dying because i wanted to party and drink for my birthday and the devil had a plan he thought he had me that night and i was left in the hotel room by myself i wanted to go to the hospital i told my friends take me to the hospital i'm dying i'm dying but instead they took me to jesus amen they thought they was leaving me by myself leaving me for dead but they really took me to jesus and left me in the hotel room by myself and cut the lights off and hallelujah my body was completely shut down all i had was my mind but thank you jesus he revealed himself and he allowed me to repent that night and i said lord if you save me if you save me god i promise i would never do this again and so hallelujah it's like in the book of genesis when god breathed into the man's nostrils he breathed on me and i became a living soul that night oh jesus came to the rescue hallelujah jesus told me to come forth like he told lazarus to come forth he told the devil to loose me and let me go hallelujah not many days after that i was seeking to receive the holy ghost and just like jesus breathed on the disciples he breathed on me and he said receive ye the holy ghost and that's when my life really began amen my salvation is precious to me because jesus paid the price jesus who did no wrong he came here and suffered bled and died for all of us but when i think on my salvation and i think about how jesus was crying in that garden guarding up considering me he was crying he said my soul is exceeding sorrowful even unto death but he took that cup for us because if he didn't he would have lost all of us and i'm so thankful on today thank you he took that cup of god's wrath thank you jesus my salvation means i'm in the army of the lord and i'm on the lower side my name is written in the book life see you have gang members in the street they're being shot and killed because they're working for the enemy amen and when they die they're suffering they're feeling that pain and what's devastating is that they're going into an eternal fire if they didn't repent amen but i'm reminded in the book of acts chapter 7 see satan was given a counsel he was accusing his accusers and he was cutting them to the heart but the bible says they began to nash stephen with their teeth and drive him out of the city but because stephen was full of the holy ghost he was able to look up steadfastly into heaven hallelujah and see the glory of god and jesus standing on the right hand of god and even while stephen was being stoned he was able to pray amen instead of just suffering and what kind of power we want that power amen and we have that same power because we're being full of the holy ghost and man through our persecutions through our afflictions we can look up steadfastly like stephen into heaven because we know our help comes from the lord which made heaven and earth amen psalms 91 4 says he shall cover thee with his feathers and under his wings shall thou trust his troops shall be thy shield and thy buckler thank god for his covering and god will keep us in perfect peace through it all because he's just faithful like that amen i have been saved from the fiery judgment see hell is real torment there will be physical and mental torment in hell that's why jesus said both soul and body will be destroyed in hell real fire real pain that's why the rich ruler say if uh if lazarus dip his finger and water and cool my tongue cause you're gonna be able to feel that that real pain amen but see jesus said hell was prepared for the devil and his angel so we don't have to go amen because hell is full of god's wrath nothing good is in hell nothing good there is no peace in hell because the lord says in isaiah 48 22 there is no peace until the wicked there is no light in hell because first john chapter 1 verse 5 says god is light amen and there is no darkness in him there is no mercy in hell because ephesians chapter 2 verse 4 says god is rich in mercy amen in hell there is no rest because hebrews chapter 4 verse 9 says that there is a wrath that remained for the people of god amen so my salvation means i have been rescued from that all because jesus died for me see hell is enlarging herself but the bible does not speak of heaven getting any larger yet people are still being born and dying every day therefore we're going to continue to press amen we're going to fight for our space in heaven we're going to let our light shine and fight this good fight of faith and live by every word that proceeded by the mouth of god so we can spend eternity with jesus amen it's worth it all pray for my strength in the lord amen did she do a wonderful job amen god bless you praise the lord hallelujah we are just so thankful for the lord hallelujah thankful for all that he's done amen they used to saying that when praises would go up blessings will come down [Music] and i believe that amen i believe that god will always do exceedingly abundantly with all that we can ask think i believe that god will never allow our goodness to supersede that of his own amen that's the kind of god we serve and it keeps on doing great things for us amen that's why we always have a reason to praise him because he just keeps on doing great things for us let me get into this word amen the time is quickly hastening two weeks ago amen we started a man teaching on the fact that family matters we had a wonderful time last week and i was so harvested he been back-to-school revival uh but is it all right if i go and revisit amend the text there's some things that i need for you to hear there are some things that god would have you to know amen because the bible teaches us that if a thing is going to be done that it has to be done decently and in order that means according to the plan of god you can't just guess and do anything and think that god is going to sanction you in that act it's not going to happen like that everything that you do you got to do it in accordance to the will of god if not you are wasting your time if your goal is really to please him jesus said if you hear my words you're happy if you do them so it's more than just hearing the word let us not just simply be hearers of the word but let us be doers of the word in other words we've got to obey what god has said and not only do what he says but to do it the way that he says to do it now god has given us a whole lot of word and i tell people listen if you're expecting that god's going to talk to you at the clouds every day it is not going to happen now i believe god still speaks because there have been times when i've heard god talk to me amen just like you hear my voice now i've heard him speak amen and it shook me where i stood amen but now god have already done a whole lot of talking you see this this is what you call the word of the lord god has already done a whole lot of talking and if you want to hear what he's already said he don't owe you nothing else if it's god if it's you i want you to shake the mirror off the wall why does he have to do all of that i want to hear your voice like many waters why if you won't listen to what he's already said he don't owe you nothing extra so we've got to go to the word of god and find our place in the word of god amen last with the last time i spoke to you amen i told you about the importance of family and i don't know if we really get it family is the bedrock of society that's what it is that's why god instituted the family the way that he did and i know we're living in a time now when people have thrown off what they call the traditional roles in the family but now let's just be real there are certain things god created a man to do that a woman can't do she have no business even trying to do it they're certain y'all can quiet now amen there are certain things that god created a woman to do that a man cannot do when he's foolish to try a man cannot have a baby what they say you know a few years ago on one of the talk shows they they had this this this big headliner the world's first pregnant man which was really just a woman that that that had surgery to shape her like a man then she became a man what she taught a man in the operating room but uh she was still a woman it doesn't matter what but what you try to make yourself into you would always be what god what god created you to be you can try to alter it it does not change the fact you are a man who god created you to be and so a man can do that i don't care how much a man say i want to know what it feels like to carry a child that's just a dream because he'll never know amen what it's like to carry a child god has set this world in motion he has set parameters so that we can experience some things but not other things there are some things that a woman cannot do and god has solidified us in the roles that he knew was best and what was right for us amen so now we've got to understand that there is within the family unit roles and responsibilities that god have laid on us and it's up to us to fulfill these roles or else we are outside of the will of god i don't care how quiet y'all get tonight i'm gonna talk to you amen and god's gonna get the glory from the preaching the hearing and the doing of his holy word now you'll find you can hold your bibles up in your spirit amen uh joshua the 24th chapter and the 15th verse let me just read it in your hearing and if it seems evil unto you to serve the lord now i stopped right here so many times because i'm still trying to understand how it became evil for some people to serve the lord why would he even have to say that and if it seems evil unto you to serve the lord then choose you this day whom you will serve and what circumstances would somebody think it to be evil to serve the lord why is it that people would choose another way to live what about sin and the devil makes him so much more appealing to people than to live a clean and a holy life amen we heard sister jennifer brown clap your hands for a man did a wonderful job tonight talking about what salvation means to me when you think about what god did for us in the act or the gift of salvation why would anybody think it's evil to turn their life over to god but you'd be surprised how many people are fighting salvation because they see that the world holds more uh pleasure than god does listen the devil can never be better to you then god can be i don't care what you got out there you might be sitting dope and living in a three million dollar house god is better to you in a hundred and fifty thousand dollar house that the devil can be in the three million dollar home you've got to understand it's not evil to serve the lord that's that's how the devil twists me to keep you out there and to keep you captive the bible said whether the gods which your father served that were on the other side of the flood or the gods of the amorites in whose land you dwell but as for me and my house we will serve the lord joshua makes a declaration he said listen i'm going to speak for my whole family and i'm going to do everything that i can do within my power to make sure that this is the case we will serve the lord now let me say this that don't mean you can force nobody to get saved you can't force your kids to get saved y'all getting crying get on down that adult and get saved listen you came for salvation on nobody y'all getting quiet now hey man every time he act up in school you as a form of punishment you sending him to the altar the altar is not the place to punish nobody boy y'all getting quiet on me here tonight when you get to church tonight you're gonna get down to that altar just because they came to the altar don't mean they got saved and you got to stop using stuff like salvation as a form of punishment salvation is not intended to punish nobody i see i'm gonna have to work this by myself here tonight yeah you can say because you want to serve god you sit him down you talk to him you do what you can amen but salvation is not a punishment it is not something to be endured because of some consequence that you've got to suffer as a result of your own doing amen but now sit them down and teach them the word of god amen and listen you can cause them to live in a manner amen that does not violate the scripture now i can't make you be saved but i can tell you this you're not going to do nothing to violate the word of god in my house yeah you said i can't make him be saved that don't mean you got to let that boy smoke in your house why can't i smoke you act like i'm saying you the one save i ain't saved but as for me in my house we're gonna serve the lord and if you're not gonna serve him in salvation then you're gonna serve him in dedication to the principles that are found in the word of god because he ain't saying don't mean you let him bring his girlfriend and they go in the back room and shut the door well he ain't saved no way the devil is alive if you let him do that i'm starting to think you ain't saying y'all getting quiet could i preach up in here as for me and my house there's some standards we gonna live by you ain't gonna watch it uh i think your elders hey man we ain't gonna watch everything in the house i remember when i was a young boy hey man i had one of them look black and white tvs with the knobs this generation don't know nothing about knobs yeah used to be in order to change the channel but no such thing as no remote in my house i was the remote helmet i remember they bought us that little black and white tv they said i bet not catch you looking at nothing you ain't got no business looking at and see back then it wasn't all this stuff that you see on tv now hey man because you know now they got all kind of uh derogatory things right now on network television used to be some of this stuff you have to have premium cable to see some of this stuff but now you can see some stuff that is making shaky head right there on network television and i remember they came in one day and i had the volume real low because you know when you sneaking you turn the vibe all the way down and get close to the tv so if they come in you can hear them change that channel and they broke up in there and that was in there watching solid gold some of y'all ain't laughing what is solid gold how did i get this oh you know what happened to my little black and white tv i see you can't handle the tv in your room i tell you what you just watch tv in the family room with everybody else oh no he in his room he doing what he want to in this room no as for me and my house we are going to serve the lord see the the problem that we're that we're facing now is that this is a generation that has no control in the family there is no authority structure in the house every man is just doing that which is right in his own eyes and listen if we don't correct this stuff right now there's going to be another generation coming behind us that's going to be a whole lot worse than what we're looking at right now if things are this bad lord when these kids grow up how much worse are they going to be y'all seem to get quiet like i'm talking about your kids i'm talking about your kids hey man how much worse are things going to be if nobody takes the time out to stop and correct this behavior and to teach people the principles of the word of god and you wonder is it that nobody taught these people see you heard one what man came from tennessee to visit us he watched the broadcast and he came all the way from tennessee to visit us the wonderful young man myron stafford and i remember he sat down and he said i think i was a evangelist and he said you know what one generation tolerates the next generation embraces and this is what we're seeing now we are seeing the result of a generation that tolerated a whole lot of stuff they never should have put up with and now because nobody corrected that behavior it has become the norm in the next generation now you know back then what no such thing is cussing in front of your mama but see now what we have is a generation of parents that think that stuff is cute so they getting their phone and videoing and putting these little kids out there trying to let the video go viral all right well after a while he's not just gonna cuss around you he's gonna be cussing you out so something happened and that was a letdown and i'll tell you where it happened amen when people stop believing what the bible told us about the family things started going down the hill i told you a couple of weeks ago amen the word of god should be taught in your home your kids are not be coming to church hearing some of this stuff for the first time this should be reinforcement of what you're already teaching in your house but when you're at home talking about the preacher he's been talking about the preacher's wife how apostle don't run my house don't come in telling me what apostles well mama pastor said don't come and tell me what he said when he start paying bills at this house then he can tell me how to run my house all right keep talking like that amen because if you're not building on a firm foundation amen the bible said except the lord keep the city they that watched watch in vain and if you won't allow the word of god to mold and shape them then you are in for a headache later on down the road the bible said remember now thy creator in the days of thy youth how can they have that foundation if we're not teaching them the word of the lord and what are we doing now what are we replacing the word of god with what's happening in these houses now amen that we're violating the word of god amen we're going on because i'm independent and you don't tell me what to do listen there is a right way and a wrong way to do anything you can't just say because it's something to do that you're doing it the right way you've got to make sure that what you do is in accordance with the word of god all right i told you let me back up i told you the last time the bible talks about a cleaving and a leaving yeah let's go back and talk about how families get started amen your family gets started when a man and a woman fall in love with each other and they marry each other and they they should marry let me say this because you know you got some folk now they marrying trash i just didn't know a better way to say that i would apologize but i ain't sorry they know what they meant but ain't no good but they gonna marry him anyway let me tell you something if this man can't take care of himself he cannot take care of you some of y'all didn't clap you're not healed jed if he can't take care of himself you have nothing to look forward to so you got to be sensible and sensitive to the voice of god and can i say this at the risk of some of y'all getting mad this is the reason why sometimes i don't feel like counseling some people because they knew some of this stuff before they got married and then they want me to come in and waste my time trying to undo something that i tried to keep you out of you can't just the bible teach us that we ought to marry only so y'all do know that scripture marry only in the lord don't tell me he nice and he worked hard and all the bible said marry only in the lord if you're a child of god you ain't got no business marrying somebody that don't even have a relationship with god boy look at y'all getting quiet now y'all thought it was a free fall because it's 2016. oh no look at somebody telling me going to heaven around here amen we're going to do things the way the bible said to do it and paul said when you are a child of god the only way you can get married is in the lord it doesn't matter how nice he is it doesn't matter how much money he make if you are saved how did the world that you end up even in a relationship with him lord ain't nobody gonna help me here if you're gonna help me elder how in the world did you even start talking to somebody that's not saying well my mama hooked me up listen your mom ain't got no business hooking you up with somebody that don't even have a relationship with god and i'm trying to figure out now when did we start doing this over here in holiness anyway hey man you got a cousin and here it is this young lady go to your church and you have friends and i i want you to meet my cousin your cousin smoke dope sniff coke and rock folk on the weekend and you trying to hook a save young lady up with your evil cousin [Music] some things you don't even start i'm trying to figure out how did you get to the point of marrying this rascal how in the world did y'all even hook up in the first place you didn't have no business even talking to him and now you're talking about marrying him how if life has no fellowship with darkness well well he just came up to me apostle hey he asked me for my number and he said he just wanted to be friends with me come on now you ain't that naive are you hey y'all ain't saying that the guy means come on if you're that naive somebody gonna sell you some oceanfront property in south dallas look at y'all getting quiet here hey man oh listen friendships ain't for him like that you know that's how young men get to know how can i hire your number no i don't want to get well i just want to be your friend he lying don't nobody walk up to you and ask you for your number to be friends come on friendships don't fall on that fast i want to see two women say that how did y'all become friends well i just walked up to one day and asked for a number and we became good friends it don't even happen like that so stop acting like you don't know the game you played it too much you haven't played the game for years now you act like you don't know what's going on and now y'all can start talking and you don't start getting intrigued when you never should have encountered him like that in the first place see that's what happened to eve the bible said evil eve kept looking at that tree and after why the devil intrigued then she saw that it was good for food oh she started making up excuses as to why she needed to eat it well i'm hungry that's food hungry plus food equal a good idea and some of us sit there and let the devil intrigue us with and can i say this see this this is when folk talk about the preacher how do we read that kind of stuff you can talk all you want you save and sanctified and you in holiness i'm saying this and i don't care who don't like it if you in holiness you ain't got no business marrying somebody that don't appreciate holiness because you know you got some churches you can do anything you you can go out on the weekend you can go to clubs and you can do everything in the world and here you are with your safe sanctified filled with the holy ghost self and you're going to try to go and talk to somebody that don't see nothing wrong with drinking a little liquor for your stomach's sake come on now the bible said two can't walk together except they be agreed you gotta have better sense than that stop letting the devil trick you into it don't you know god knows you want to be married you always say nothing god know amen that you lonely and desire somebody but god ain't gonna send you no trash you know what god gonna do he's gonna send you a blessing and if it's really the blessing of the lord it'll make you rich but won't add no sorrow to it don't tell me god put you together and this man doesn't put a ring around your eyes see that's what happened in a lot of these families they were corrupted from the start just correct because you couldn't wait on mr right you want to mister right now it's in a bit envious sin brother coming to church and say well you know that ain't harder nobody in the church than harry so nice looking brother come and get safe and you all live in his face after church how you doing listen i've been here why if you need to know anything and i mean anything you just call me and i'll help you live this life i'll stop that come on now come on now you better get the one god get with you lord can i dig in a little deeper you got some folk go to your church you ain't got no business marion cause everybody ain't living right y'all getting quiet here you got some people don't care what preachers say they just repel against everything and they trying to tell you you ain't even married to them you ain't even don't even know their middle name and they already tell you what it don't take you ain't got to do that you don't have to do i know what he's saying but i don't see it like that anybody that will challenge you on the level and the standard of the word of god you don't need nobody like that listen especially those of you that got ministries you better show make sure that you marry who god got for you because you'll end up marrying the wrong person and then they don't understand what god calls you to and you'll be sitting up at the house angry because you feel like your wife is the reason why you can't serve god and preach the way you feel like he called you to preach every time i get ready go out you all ain't telling me to stay home every time i get ready to go to you just don't understand what god called me to do well you should have waited on somebody who did some of these families don't stand a chance because they were corrupted from the outset the bible says hear this now therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother and i talked about that last two weeks you got to leave your father and your mother if you're not ready to go out there and be a man then don't listen you don't get no woman out of her mom and daddy's house out of her own apartment just for her to come struggle and i ain't saying every day is gonna be sunday and i ain't saying you're gonna have a million dollars in reserve before you get married but now listen don't bring her out just so she can struggle if you struggle you're struggling together but now avoid that at all costs ain't ready to get married not used to paying bills not used to doing nothing listen if this woman had a good daddy stay used to that and you're gonna get out of her daddy's house where the lights never got cut off because he sent his bills in 10 days ahead of time and here she wake up in the morning time can't even iron her clothes because the light's off now i don't know why y'all sitting there looking at me like you're gonna do something the bible is right and brothers if you're gonna get married you listen you know who's supposed to get married therefore shall a man boys ain't supposed to get married therefore shall a man and if you're a man i'll tell you how you know boy y'all you know your man if you're willing to leave i just can't let my mama go just can't let my mama go and you got your mamas i just can't let my baby go what up here baby keep him don't do that woman like that tell her he's still a baby but if he's a man you got to let him go you got to help him become what he needs to be that means you got to start cutting out those aprons tree you got to stop cutting off start cutting off some of that help you gave him and let him do it and become a man he come to the table and you still cutting up his food for him and he's 19 years old he get his come on now come on now and you know how embarrassing that is there's a grown man and you sit up there out to eat it he then invited his his his fiance out to eat and you sitting there and while y'all talking it's just happened with you you ain't thinking about you getting this place putting up that cutting instead of talking how you doing you doing all right yeah well you know and slide his way listen that's embarrassing that's a grown what you gonna do chew it up for him too if he's a boy keep him with you but if he's the man cut that string and let him be a man well they can quiet over here let me come back over the other side this man married and you mama still won't let him go god don't get you from messing up his house look at y'all getting quiet god will get you because god is not the author of confusion so you got to be wise about this you ought to want him to succeed and he's not going to be able to succeed if every time he get in a rut and him and his wife and he can come to your house and you sit him down there man i tell you what if y'all haven't brought your lights off then y'all can't stand that house like that well if she can find somewhere to go you come on back in and stay with us till your lights get back the if y'all know of any cases like that call me please call me you gotta be able to live why y'all looking like that now come on now now y'all want me to hurry this up but can i can can i talk to you at the word you you you can't do that because god will get you in return you hear me parents god will get you in return you got to keep your opinion to yourself you don't raise your kids let them raise hands two three four five all right just taking the temperature in the room that's all come on now you got to order this house do you know god let me let me just go here god called you if you are a man and if you declared before witnesses i'm ready to be a husband well that takes on some responsibilities all by itself [Music] see if you were not ready for the responsibilities you you could have been still living in the attic and hanging out with the homies and playing video games if that's what you want to do to waste your life away go ahead you're 30 years old still playing i mean it's coming out it's coming out next friday come on now this this is a generation let me say this we are living in a generation and a society that makes it convenient to be immature see you you you don't grow up they used to think that song every christmas i don't want to grow up i'm a toys r us kid they sung that so much the kids stopped growing up they're 30 years old still ain't grown up yet playing video games making sound effects come on now you you you too old for this you're way too over that when i was a child see y'all nobody want you to put the word on i i spake as a child i understood as a child i had childish ways i i dressed like a child but when i became a man i had to put away childish things and take on some manly responsibilities so before you before you say i do you better make sure that you want to see you got to open your eyes and see things for the way they really are and stop feeling like well i i'm i'm getting up there in age now i can't be picky but you can be sorry i'd rather be picking than look at somebody telling i'd rather be picky than sorry because to death do you part is a long time to spend with the wrong one so they ought to raise him to respect you and listen if he don't respect you before you get married you don't have nothing i don't understand that well he hit me but he said he'll never do it again he said he would never hit you it goes because cause the apostle then says that you treat older women as mothers and treat younger women as what well if you wouldn't touch your sister don't touch her because until you say i do you're not supposed to kiss your sister and if you treat younger women as sisters that means that that's what they remain until the relationship is changed through marriage so you don't do nothing with your fiance that you wouldn't do with your sister because just because she's your fiance don't make her your wife treat the younger anyway let me hurry up so we got to go back and understand fathers joshua said that's for me and my house we're going to serve lord you know what the primary responsibility as the uh the father has in the house it is to be the spiritual and the natural head of the house that means you have to provide you have to protect and you have to correct y'all hear that if you're a father god requires you to provide for this house didn't nobody marry you to go hungry ancestors give him time to mature before you snatch him up give him time if he haven't been on his job more than three months ain't nobody trying to get married he needs a job do y'all understand what i'm saying any man needs a job do you know what the bible says the bible said if a man don't walk then neither shall he eat who was that the apostle amen said have this reported uh that the folk that that's not what can be lazy you know i'm telling you anybody like that fool around with them and you have men who have never been put to the fire they have never been forced to come to terms with their manly roles and responsibilities and so if he cannot work he can't provide for no house what is he going to pay rent with you can't sell blood and plasma and pay rent every month y'all laughing like y'all don't know there are people that do that kind of stuff some of them sitting right up in here ain't calling their name going out giving plasma you can't that that that's not that's not income that's not gainful employment how is he going to feed you you don't understand we love each other all right remember that with them lights and that water and that gas go off love don't pay your bills i don't know why y'all looking at me like i don't know what i'm talking about no they gonna pay bills and god says that if a man don't take care of his own household he is worse than an infidel and has can i tell you what the bible said he has departed from the faith that means god ain't got no lazy husbands and no lazy fathers you can't be saved and be lazy like that y'all getting quiet the bible said if you can't take care of your house if you're sitting at home while your wife go out there amen and make a living and you just too lazy to get up the bible says you have departed the faith i'm just gonna have to start calling you mister and stop calling you brother because you cannot handle the responsibility like that and still think god is going to bless you now come on just be real with yourself if you're not ready for that don't jump into it just cause everybody else around to get married you got to protect this house which means you sure got to be a man i told you you hitting noises and your wife to get up go see what that is you'll go i can't call the police go go go out there and see what that is now listen a man like that will leave you to fight by yourself and then his job is also to correct wrong behavior but that's one of the letdowns now because men aren't there to correct that behavior a lot of them have abandoned their own families and now their sons and daughters have been raised without a real authoritarian in the house y'all getting quiet and i know you got mothers that are doing excellent jobs raising good kids but now god called a man to sit in that place and if there's not one there then pray that god will give you what you need to raise them right amen but a man it don't change the fact you have the responsibility from god to stick it out to stay and help raise the family that you brought into existence she could have went and married somebody else that was going to take care of her when she looked at you and your head wasn't too long you wasn't too dark wasn't too big boned and she signed on to you and some of them are sad now because what they thought they were getting they didn't get you might not even been the best looking person that was that was interested in her but she loved you she didn't have to say yeah they don't make her say yeah she said yes and now here she is disappointed because you can't even do those uh normal things she's gonna ask you to buy her a new car and pay cash for it that might not be you but what she did ask you to do was take the money that you already made which was enough to take better bills and actually do with it what you were supposed to do can i say this uh brothers one of the worst things you can do is to disappoint a woman i mean for her to think that you superman and then to find out it would have been different if she thought you were clark kent and then found out she was superman but she thought she was superman and found out you old clumsy clark camp and that's one of the problems i counsel a lot of couples that's one of the problems that i'm seeing more and more of now i don't know why she's doing it i don't know why she ain't acting right she give me all this attitude you know what it is she's disappointed because it's not like you're not making enough money to pay your rent you doing some crazy stuff with your money and it don't make sense for her to get put out of another house she's disappointed because she needs you to stand up and be the man that she doubt you were the one god said you need to be but you're not doing that it is disappointing because when a woman is let down by her husband that's one of the hardest things to get over all of a sudden now every emotion in the world start piling on top of love and then she's that question in herself i don't know what i want anymore i don't know listen she still loves you yes she does a woman was built to love can i tell you the problem it's a whole lot of other emotions piled on top of that love she got frustration disappointment anger boy y'all getting quiet now and for her to get back to that love she gotta wade through all the mother emotions and find love again you gotta do right can't be crazy like that you making money and doing the wrong things with it listen your family needs to be confident in you you can't lose the confidence of your wife when y'all might start paying all the bills i said well i'm supposed to do that you ain't letting me be the man she tried that and now that's when men start getting ego trippy i just feel like she ain't let me be the man she ain't let me be the man of my house she always making decisions you know why because she felt like you were not adequate to make a good decision anymore so now she had to get up and take charge of the situation or else the water was gonna get cut off again come on now we got to do the right thing the right way and so it is important brothers that we understand all of these things we gotta understand how to govern our house you know i used to hear apostles say that and i understand it better now he said you gotta rule your house but you don't rule it with force you rule it with love if you are who you need to be don't you know a woman is looking for a strong man if you're a strong man doing what you're supposed to do you ain't gonna have no problem out of your wife you're gonna have a problem when she feel like she can't depend on you to do nothing boy y'all ain't saying nothing here oh she ought to find it a pleasure to fall in your league it ought not be every time she turned around wait maybe i need 799 dollars i didn't found this new business to get into and you don't try 10 network marketing schemes and then lost thousands of dollars and rather than get out there and get a job you're always looking for the hook-up she can't lose confidence in you like that or the church doesn't get quiet and even the pope passed out here to fend for himself you rule your house with love i'm understanding now as i talk to people a lot of people just don't understand the dynamics of the different relationships in the family brothers you can't talk to your wife like she's your daughter well i'm older than she is that don't mean nothing you tell your wife to go sit down who do you think you're talking to you say everything in the world you want to say then when she uh try to i'm talking just just be quiet who you think you talking to and then gonna say what's for dinner the devil don't eat that don't eat that you're gonna talk crazy then ask her to cook she gotta throw that steak behind the refrigerator and put it back out and just stick it in the pan don't you eat that after you made a woman angry you have to unders you have to understand the different dynamics you can't talk to her any kind of way especially not in front of people that's your wife she come up to you and and she's trying to get your attention she needs something baby no not now the men are talking and what listen you thought this was 1950. you had to have forgotten come on now not these neck rolling women you don't talk like that if you want how to respect you guys what you got to do you have to respect her as your wife god didn't make it out of your foot god took my foot and made my wife he didn't do no such thing god took a rib and made your wife and you treated her like she come off the ground somewhere and then wonder why there's trouble in your home you have to understand the different dynamics in the relationship you can't talk to her any kind of way you can't do her any kind of a way and listen even in the day-to-day activity you gotta respect her as your wife and not just your wife you gotta respect as a woman of god do you know god will get you based on how you treat that woman i'm talking to the men now i don't know how loud my time going i might not finish this if i don't come back next week and finish this you you can't talk to her any kind of way come on now you can't do anything to her if there are things that she don't understand help her to understand don't make her feel stupid just because you feel like she ought to know what you know i don't know who you who who you going to live with for the rest of your life you're going to talk to her crazy and then lay down next to her you're going to embarrass her and and say all amount of evil against us and then turn around and ask her what's for breakfast listen you better get up early go in and stand next to her while she cooked you you y'all getting quiet now you talking about saves just because same sisters would never do nothing like that you just sitting there and you said got the nerve to pull your table your chair to the table after you don't talk crazy and she's sitting on the other side of the table ain't got nothing to eat no plate in front of sitting there watching you okay if you need that you crazy get up go jack in the box on your way to work don't eat nothing like that after you don't talk crazy to this woman you got to understand the relationship and if not it's going to cause a clash in the family it's going to cause a clash because now uh she's always on the defensive around you if you're trying to force respect out of her then she's gonna always be on the defensive around you she's gonna always have something else to say and you're gonna i wonder why she'll never just do what i say the bible said obey your husband listen let me tell you something you got to give this woman some obey because if not this generation will talk back to you and tell you everything you ain't doing i'm the man of this house she'll tell you no you're not cause a man pays bills on time there ain't no man in his house a man brings food up in here for me to cook you ain't no man you can't force uh respect out of her you have to coerce it and you do that with love don't you know a woman wants to respect the man i don't care who she is she wants to be able to respect a man a wife wants to respect her husband it's just in her god put it in her and if you do right you ain't gonna have problems out of her never have no problem out of a woman that you treat like a queen and doing what you're supposed to do because she'll appreciate that and she will endear herself to you listen you don't have to be a millionaire amen if you don't listen if you lose your job if you have done right by this woman she'll stand with you if she got to sleep in the car because she know it's in your heart to do better but if you just keep getting put out of a house and keep getting put out of houses and keep getting evicted she gonna call her daddy and say come get me and you know what he gonna do he gonna come get her because he didn't raise her to get put out a new house like that there's more to it than just getting married oh brother i feel like it's about time see a lot of these people just got an idea about marriage they don't really understand what marriage is about you know what the bible said the bible said if you're going to build a house you got to first sit down and count up the cost and some people didn't count that cost but they jumped into a relationship real quick because my girlfriend got married child i'm sick of being a bridesmaid and never bright like the old folks say you better buy it show time and stop jumping in this stuff without understanding what the responsibilities of the relationship will be you have to understand how to handle your children and you have to understand how to sacrifice for the good of your home you have to be able to give us something to respect because otherwise you're going to have a lot of problems and this is what's happening a lot of men come back and you don't understand apostle she ain't doing what wives are supposed to do she don't feel like she got a man to do it with boy ain't nobody saying that now and then got quiet up in zion and i'm not saying it's right because the bible said your body ain't your own you don't have power over your body but now you know if you ain't doing right she'll find the reason you wonder why she going to bed at 8 30. she don't want to be bothered with you i don't know this stuff is in the bible right she don't want to be bothered with you you're going to talk crazy then come in there smiling with a gleam in your eye better go get a v8 y'all do know this stuff isn't about y'all looking at me like i'm making up stuff as i go this stuff is is really and i'm not saying it's like i told you the bible said uh that the husband doesn't not have power over his own body and neither does the wife but the husband has power over the wife's body and the wife has power over the husband's body that that's a very important part of being married but now apostle mary used to tell us if you want to have a good night you got to start by having a good morning you can't treat people crazy all day cause she'll hold on to that headache all day not the night head hurt not a good time i was planning to go see mama tonight so we got to understand that this house can run like clockwork if we do the things that god requires us to do but you know what it's going to be let me say my time gone i'm just fathers we got to operate with some wisdom you know the bible says wisdom is the principal thing that means that is the foundational thing that is the important characteristic of any man's life that should be the most wisdom to know how to do things to know how to handle things it's more than just knowing that things need to be handled it's knowing how to handle them you got to have wisdom and listen some of you sitting here your wife not even saved do you know wisdom can can can cause you to handle the situation in a way that even has her respect in you and she's not saved oh i haven't seen it happen i've seen people come to church their wives were not saved but because they listen you know what the bible says and it talks about the fruit of the spirit gentleness meekness long suffering patience and it says against such there is no law you don't offend nobody by being patient you don't know it's not an offense to nobody to be long-suffering if you treat them right it's not an offense to them and even a wife that don't believe you're standing if you do right she respect you as the man of god that you are and you don't know after a while she might come and get saved but but if you're at home and you're not acting like a child of god you're not talking like a child of god i don't care what she do you're a man step back like you don't been out there fighting your eyes swole up your teeth gone and all that kind of stuff and then this little woman say something to you and you act like that just cut you to your heart how you get that weak you out there carrying guns and willing to shoot a needle all over your body but then because this woman said something to you now you i didn't mean to put my hands on it and i know a woman's words can hurt yeah they can but now you're a man come on now before you put your hands on that woman turn around and walk away i didn't hit him i didn't hit him i just choked up against the wall to get off of me now you didn't you're a man come on now come on you have to do things right and i'm not saying sit there until your yo your temperature just just explode if you gotta walk away and count to a thousand you don't have to sit there and be something other than what god called you to be you don't have to get out of character as a child of god you are a man come on you have to rule this house with wisdom and with love and if this situation is getting out of hand then walk away from it and revisit it later i told you a friend of mine uh has this this this this rule in this house he says i don't care uh how we hurt i don't care how we get into it he said i don't care what it's done to disappoint the other we don't talk about that stuff until thursday what do you say between seven and nine so if something happens saturday night we ain't going to talk about it until we get to the table thursday from the hours of 7-9 we cut the phone up cut the tv off and we sit down at this table and we do not get up until we have addressed everything that happened over the course of the first week he said because we're not going to spend seven days in the week arguing over stuff so before i spend every day of my life unhappy if you did something i'll just write it down and remember it and we're gonna go on and be happy for the rest of this day and if you do something else i'm gonna write that down and remember it we're gonna go on and be happy and then thursday between the hours of seven and nine we'll be shutting everything off coming and sitting at the table and i'm gonna tell you everything that you did over the course of the last week but once we address it and get up from this table we ain't talking about that stuff no more do i have to find a way to make this stuff work ain't no need you train bluff or blow like a tennis match you say something she say something you say something she said listen you don't have to do all of that you're a man and a wise man knows how to rule his own house oh what the bible say it's important that you and your wife get along what was that what that proverbs 21-9 no proverbs is that 21-9 it is better re it is better to need to write the scripture down proverbs 21-9 it is better to dwell in the corner of the housetop than with a brawling woman in a wide house my house is six thousand square feet the bible said i don't care how broad your house is if you still woman up she will make all six thousand square feet and the bible said it's better to get a ladder climb up to the roof and sit on top of your roof than to be in a broad house with a brawling woman but how did she get like that she'll respect you so how did she get like that see that's one of the first questions i really want to ask when people come into office now what did you do why are you coming here by everybody else what did you do and we'll get to the to the women next tuesday brothers you have a responsibility this this is a part of being a man did nobody make you get married you know they used to do that kind of stuff you gonna make my daughter honest listen she ain't honest that's why you're here with this gun cause you ain't got no going to do that at least want to do it the right way a woman wants to respect you what the bible says husbands love your wives but then it says wives submit which means respect your husband he never tells a woman to love a husband because a woman is built to love a woman to love you and love everything about you and you sitting up here trying to find stuff to love a woman who loved everything about you she loved the fact that one of your ears is bigger than the other she just just love everything about and a woman wants a man that she can respect give this woman what she wants and when a man stands up and becomes a real man then a woman would become the woman she needs to be i tell them all the time i don't care you know you got some of them women that aren't switched over they trying to be men now them hard women you know the kind of cut they have wear the bag clothes and hide their chest and their hips so they don't look like no woman i don't care how manly she wanna act let her come in contact with a real man she can be walking around like a do you a real man say hey cutie all you got to do is be a man and if you're a man you'll turn her into the woman she's supposed to be oh real men are soft and soften up but your job is to be the man god called you to be family matters and if you'll be who god called you to be raise your kids and i i said it at father's day i ain't gonna preach that message again but if you have kids they need to be able to respect you they can't respect you if they see you on the full gospel temple broadcast of deliverance and you got all these nice clothes and you can't even send them 20 in a card for their birthday they can't respect you like that and it's hard and you're trying to reach them and tell them about the goodness of the lord and all they want to know is when you're sending that support if you'll be the man you're supposed to be everything else will fall in line it all starts with the head that's why the devil is after the man if he can get the head if the head is sick have you ever had a haircut if the head is sick the body is good as dead and if the devil can get you to mess up at the head then they'll have a ripple effect throughout your family now everything is out of out of whack out of kills and off balance but it got to start with you learn listen before you get married learn your role and your responsibility and determine whether or not you can fulfill that at this time if not don't jump into this because i don't care what you say i'm not going to tell you well i guess you did get the wrong one no you didn't she did everybody standing to your feet they're getting quiet come on now oh we keep telling you we're going to heaven over here family matters don't allow the enemy to destroy your family by destroying you you're the gatekeeper if he can mess you up then who's going to be there to keep him away from the family see that's what happened to david i preached that a couple of years ago unintentional carelessness david and the men were out conquering doing everything but because the men were not in place nobody was there to protect the home and when they come back to ziglag it's burned the women are taken the children are taken and their homes is on fire that's what's happening homes are on fire now because of unintentional carelessness it's not that you intended to do that but the enemy does not care whether you intend it to or not he will capitalize on your carelessness so you have to make sure that you're where you're supposed to be and that you're doing what you're supposed to do and if not the enemy will come in and he'll exploit your whole family because a man is not in place family matters if your daughters are going to grow up right they need a father that's going to show them how a man is supposed to treat a woman if he see you talking to your wife crazy then that boy gonna talk to some woman crazy if your daughter sees you put your hands on your wife then she's gonna grow up thinking that that's how men express love and what if a man put his hands on your daughter look at some of y'all y'all scared to say something i know you saved i'm just talking i'm just asking you don't want to say y'all twitching just you put the hand on my i get it but guess what your wife is somebody's daughter family matters everything you do is teaching them a lesson we got to get this thing right every head bowed every eye closed if there's one here tonight that's not saved you don't know the lord and the partner of your sin i want you to come if you need
