this thing's been outside overnight let's hear a little cold start [Music] not bad at all it's super droney when i'm driving but the cold start is nothing i just had some really messy eggs what's hannan i have one goal today and that's to make a five pound wastegate spring because what is in here right now is an eight pound spring and i'm scared to go full throttle in this thing because i don't wanna blow it up yet so online these springs run anywhere from forty dollars to sixty dollars for the cheapest cheapest ones that's not even mentioning the fact that it'll take a month to get here so i've decided to make my own now what i did here is i cut in half i think it's an 11 pound spring now it's from the blow-off valve i don't know if these springs are supposed to be interchangeable from blow-off valve to wastegate but that's a 50 ml blow-off valve a mamba and i cut it in kind of a third and two-thirds segments so i'm going to use the one-third here it's actually a thicker spring rate than the eight pound but we're going to see if it works let's jump in and well first we got to throw it in there then let's jump in see if it works [Music] okay so i've been driving around a little bit here warming it up and it looked like it held four psi for a little bit and then it looked like it held six so we'll see what it does here go second gear [Music] about six and a half and held that you can hear the wastegate opening too it smells very warm i wasn't watching my afr there i was watching my boost gauge the backfire as always another backfire third gear right now we'll go into second here and then we'll give her some juice [Music] it was staying richer than it has been so i stayed in a little bit there all right we'll see if we can make it eat a little bit here yes it's staying rich i should be looking for cops i was just watching my afr yes it stayed at like 11 and a half to 12. dang that's my girl right there i wasn't looking at my boost gauge probably around six and a half again i would say but you guys know better than i do at this point so if you guys haven't been following there's no tune on this car it's stock tuned not even a base map or anything just the stock tune and the only thing the only reason why i'm able to boost right now is because of the larger 240cc injectors from a d16y8 they will roll into it we were downhill there whoa it might seem like we're going faster there still wasn't super fast i'm liking this thing casual three pounds okay i got the window cracked a bit here we'll do a tunnel pull [Music] just trying to enjoy my turbo civic here boss old lady didn't know what she had coming for there [Music] dang this thing sounds good okay watch my afr's here first gear i love this thing oh they get the advance do they these girls behind us have no idea what they're about to witness this guy wants to race he's creeping come on nobody get a ticket there oh there's a red light cap dammit i don't think i went fast enough i think it's 50 back there and i when i was going over 60 hopefully i was far enough away from the lights god i'm a dingus sometimes this is my second time on the high level today listen to this flutter up here it sounds unreal second gear all right guys that's about all i got for you today the new spring worked pretty good running about six and a half pounds and it's not leaning out as bad as it was before it still is leaning out but i just wanted to show you guys this i'm getting lots of oil leaks now camera died but yeah lots of oil leaks i don't know exactly where it's coming from could be rear main could be a whole bunch of little things but it was looking good for a while there because i brake cleaned it all off and made it look pretty and now that i've been driving it it's getting it's leaking again so i'll have to weld up a dump tube in a future video um the next video i think i'm gonna weld in these are the two um if you guys can see them stock oxygen sensors right here and i'm gonna weld a bung in for the upper one because the upper one basically uh decides your fuel trim when you're idling or cruising on the highway it just so basically what i'm trying to say is right now it's out of there and i'll explain more in the next video but basically i idle super super rich and that's one of the reasons i'm thinking so next video i might weld that in for now that's all i got i'll give you guys a little side shot here this thing looks so good outside too but there it is see you later guys [Music] you
