$600 EBAY TURBO CIVIC SHOOTING FLAMES!! (Dyno Day)

today we're finally tuning my $600 eBay turbo kit hopefully the d16 lasts the whole day just to preface it though I'm not gonna be upset if it doesn't and I'm not gonna be upset if it does it's going to make me smile either way [Music] [Music] she's super dirty from what we've been doing to the skyline the past couple days so I was doing this until about 2:00 a.m. last night getting this body kit bonded on and I'm honestly like can't wait you guys can see it cuz honestly I figured that a pretty good job for my first try super hoping it doesn't rain it's not supposed to but you know literally does never know it's actually the last thing I want is water to mess up my motor I want to blow my motor I'm a mother nature to do that that's my job Oh got five gallons of that good good it's kind of a dick just you know parked in the middle of a gas station but you know people were in my way and I'm at I'm trying goodness is there of those days we're like it seems like it seems like everything is going wrong and it seems like you almost have no choice but to get frustrated and everything I'm having one of those days but I want to remind you guys always have a choice your attitude is always a choice you have a bad attitude or you have a good attitude whatever you choose to do it's on you and I'm choosing to have a good day cuz I'm freaking excited and nothing's bringing me down yeah we're owns track star and he is my tuner he's also a wizard so if you guys have a v8 turbo car four-cylinder v6 whatever you have he's great tuners make you guys hit him up today he's gonna do some magic on my d16 so I think we're gonna go straight to e85 yeah we don't want to like we don't want to we want to push it today but we don't want to push it like all the way would be cool to have this like lasted whatever Ishwar yeah for like me couple weeks I'm hoping that we can get it you know 20 pounds right around 20 pounds there's like all right I mean we're gonna have to watch as we build up to that we might you know we got to watch our spark plugs and watch our fuel pressure and make sure everything stays happy happy but you know on the ethanol I think we should be able to do there's a lot of people waiting over this day I think people are really excited I would be either stoked I'm stoked I am so ready to see what the hell this thing will do I have no idea I know it drives but who knows how it's going to perform at full send to Texas yeah I'm all wait you got it so it's it's really high-tech a lot of safety features so you have to open it from the inside like trying to get in about the smell I feel so we got some I believe these are 1,100 CC injectors good 385 good for like five iron horse and then I got there DW 400 he'll bump race car stuff baby dad how it's fast yes sir working on it eg to naniji even this is like it's like talking to an old friend to me it's this is not the same as other cars to me look at these nasty stock injector we got a big chunk coming off right now I think this is bondo yeah somebody definitely yes sir yeah I did my Honda has bondic can you even believe that fuel pumps going back in peace and I know you get tired of me asking this but I feel like it's a very appropriate time are we having massive flames and to stuff coming out of this yes I asked you that every single time we tune the car if we can to step usually it smell like an eye-roll thing but this time it's needed I need to flame Tim they don't care what the car runs like nothing else like that's not the but it's included with the rest of the two all right so everything is currently run the injectors are now in we cleaned everything up a little bit ran vacuum lines went ahead and put some fresh oil in it because it was pretty low because of all the spillage I went ahead and wrapped these with some cool wrap which actually just looked too terribly bad hey did all right that nasty house looks like diesel Peugeot Civic you about to get the good oh my good stuff so what's it like trying to get it started on the first time new fuel new ECU like what is that I got to go through and tell it like a few things like hey don't pay attention to factory oxygen sensors different injector size might have to scale at 40 85 soon as we get it running we need to check the ignition timing to make sure that that's sync so I also let you guys know so he has a you're not only Tunes cars and you should come and get a tune he also has a youtube channel track star media works and he explains a little bit more about some tuning something you do that I can unlike trucks and you just yeah I try to get all the way in depth I'm not hiding anything like so if you really care to learn then you can you know if you watch those videos closely you can see all of the information right there but yeah just check them out so we have a D 16 y8 motor I'm gonna act as if it's a D 16 v6 right now that's what this car would come with so new file the very first things I'm going to go play with are the injector sizing 1100 in there right now then I'm gonna go into closed loop and I'm gonna tell it hey I don't have any oxygen sensors for you to look at I want to add in the adjustments for boost and it create boobs tables retard ignition timing and this is kind of depending on what kind of fuel I'm on but a knock sensor is already disabled that's a pretty normal one to disable VTEC oil pressure switch that's a very normal one to have disable though so you start without VTEC and then had it in some cases yeah I'm not sure that the rev limiter at 6000 nice and low that might be all we need to get the car running right now so there you go you get position two you guys get all that I'm listening you're on a hater dude alright alrighty here we go [Music] a bunch of lien numbers on there right now but it really takes a minute before this gets stable reading in general you need to add about 30 to 35 percent for epital you can see how you can see how it's lean right now it's hesitating to Rev but I should be able to keep it running right away happier Wow it sounds we get once more still though I'm gonna go to fortune rabbit really well is the turbo seems slowly to I oh yeah who is ready for flames [Applause] [Music] happy fourth of July boys Evette turbo kid right there boys yeah beers with VTEC Hudson that's so sick I figured we'd give it a little durability test that's true alright it's time or is how much horsepower is this gonna make next would you maybe want to see Ebates our boat Miata then v6 swamp okay so nine pounds of boost that's really low like this is this is a great might be a little line it makes one ninety one right now nine pounds so and we just need to keep revving and we need to keep pouring in boost and hopefully that keep on coming up all right you can see how like you know it could end up in this oh so you only rep to 6000 gotta build up very increment Lee also our ignition timing is a few degrees south of where I know it sure probably can be but like you know as we build up through boost I like to bring that down in fact it's probably good one with you check a spark plug and see here's that plug that is pretty close to brand new we have like you know three dyno pulls on it right yeah black mark like when you can clearly see the timing strap right there in the middle right where it goes from white to gray yeah so that tells me that we are we are right in the middle of the happy land for this right now in fact we could probably add some timing and get some more power out of it but like I said while we're escalating boost we want to keep it sure back a little bit safe and so yeah that is a very clear clean that is a happy plug that's what you want to see in there see what you're right in okay stay here for the bull [Music] yeah just got some pizza I'm really excited but they just made less horsepower for some reason we definitely lost a chunk of it yeah for sure looks like the firing ring wasn't even in there oh you got a light that's crusty nasty oh yeah so the firing ring wasn't even in there as well so that's crucial this people know what this isn't it must be inside of the gate this would be like one of like ten errors that you know comes to me and it takes a little time to figure out we're gonna do is gonna finish tuning this and get it at least as high as we're cover with tonight we're gonna come back tomorrow and then streets unit drive I'll show you for the first time and have some fun but for now we're gonna see what in the world this wastegate situation just did
