episodes that we did on the mystery of identity i i got to do that for our final season season five we we did some teaching if you haven't seen that episode yet it it's really helpful to understand because identity is that key issue it's a core issue for everything related to who we are and how we operate in the world if you don't really know who you are and what that means to the world around you to the people around you what that means to your relationship with god what that means to your relationship to the spiritual world what that means to your relationship to creation you're you're not going to be able to live out that victorious life consistently the way that you could if you really know who you are so we've got the kawaii bridge in kauai welcome glad you're here anyone else teach that man is a astounding astounding teacher he he's one of my favorites to hear just his the the solid foundation that he comes from and an authority i've seen him do a countdown calling people to respond and as he's counting down the presence of the lord came into the room so powerfully and when he said respond now is like something opened up and it was amazing it was actually it was for forgiveness to forgive people and one of the guys that was on our team during that particular conference this was uh we were we were playing a recording from youtube of him teaching at a conference in india so we were in india doing a conference he was not able to make it because of visa issues uh health issues and so we played a video of him teaching and he did that and when he did that like it opened up in the room and people were getting healed a lot of people were able to get delivered one of the guys on our team got totally healed instantly as he forgave in that moment so it it's powerful when you get around someone that has that level of authority and rt is amazing let's say we've got deer park texas we've got british columbia canada awesome washington state which scripture is that about the watchmen over jerusalem please it is isaiah is it isaiah 54 um it's it's in isaiah and if you search in your bible like your bible app for watchmen walls watchmen walls those two words uh it's in isaiah and i cannot remember the exact i think it's isaiah 54. it's it's in there somewhere uh we'll we'll we'll find it and if we find it before we're done we'll put it into the this is one of those core issues if if we don't know who we truly are we're going to end up not operating out of the fullness of what we've been given we have been given more than what many of us realize and this this life that we've been given as believers once we put our trust in jesus it's not just a change of thinking it's not just an exchange of the way that we see things or or that we we now agree with a certain set of principles that we think are true it actually is a complete change from the inside out jesus calls it being born again it it's so new it it's it's like the difference from coming from a womb out into the world where we were completely relying upon something else and now we have the capacity to live and to breathe and to move and this life that we've been given in the spirit is that astounding compared to what it's like before we know christ it is a whole new life it's a new form of creation we literally become a new creation paul says the old things have passed new things have come and in this new creation there's certain things that are true about us and certain things that the bible says john chapter 1 verse 12 says that to as many as received him he gave them the right to be sons of god born not of the will of man or the desires of the flesh but of the will of god when we receive jesus when we accept him when we take him into our lives and we submit ourselves to him we actually become children of god now that that is an interesting point that some people miss until one is born of the spirit they are beloved by god because god loved the whole world but they're not children of god those that are children are those that have put their trust in him that have received him those are the ones that he's given the right to be children of god and so you actually become a child of god and that has implications that means as a child you come into the family and you start to get the identity of the family you take on the name of the family you take on the privileges of the family and you now have an inheritance as a child you get to inherit what was your father's and the beautiful thing about god is he doesn't wait for him to die for us to inherit which is nice because he's not going to die we would never inherit anything he he allows us to come into that inheritance as soon as we are ready which is a beautiful thing um so we're we're a child of god first thessalonians chapter 1 verse 4 says that we are loved by god and we are chosen by god so he he he puts a special love upon those that he has that have responded to him he loves everybody but there's a special love that he gives to those that are part of his family that have come into this relationship and it's not because they chose him it's because he chose them so when you came in you came in because you made a decision to follow christ but that decision what was was coming out of the reality of god having chosen you he chose you he he he looked over the whole of the world and he said this one is one that i want jesus told this parable it's one of my favorite parables just because it has such a depth of revelation once you get it and the parable is there's a man who's walking through the field and as he's walking through the field he comes upon this treasure that had been buried in the field and he gets so excited seeing the treasury he buries it back into the field and he goes and he sells everything that he has and he buys the field so that he can have the treasure now knowing a little bit about dream interpretation there's certain principles it it all needs to fit together when you come to an understanding of something parables are the same it all needs to fit together i i've heard people suggest that we're the man and that the treasure is jesus if that's the case what's the field that we have to buy in order to get jesus it falls apart it doesn't actually make sense jesus is the man and the field is the world and he he explains that a little bit later in matthew chapter 13. the field is the world we're the treasure you're the treasure god was looking over all of time he was looking over every person that would ever live the whole field of the world he saw you and he left you in the world he didn't take you out of the world he left you in the world but he went and he bought the whole world so that he could have you you're the treasure that it was worth you are loved by him you are chosen by him he came he gave it all so that you could come into relationship with him that is astounding and that gives you such confidence he chose you now he chose you before the foundations of the world we'll get to that one a little bit later in ephesians chapter one that that means that he saw you before you were he saw you when you came to him before you ever existed and he saw you all the way through to the end and he still chose you that is astounding first corinthians chapter 6 17 says that because you belong to jesus you're now one spirit with him that those who belong to jesus have become one spirit with god not just being given a spirit like his we are given his spirit we are filled with his spirit we're baptized in a spirit we're immersed in his spirit all of those are true we drink of his spirit that is true but it is also true that we have become one spirit with him he has united his spirit with our spirit that is the definition of the new creation that's what it means to be a believer we're actually one spirit with him that's astounding if you just think about that one thing it will begin to shift the way that you look at yourself the way that you look at the earth second corinthians 5 17 says that you are brand new the old you was gone the the old you the one that was outside of christ before christ before you came to him that person is dead and that person no longer holds sway you you have actually been made brand new you no longer have to live according to the the things that you experienced i'm filling my coffee the things that you experience from then you you can actually live in this new relationship that he has given you in this new identity you you can put off the old man along with its passions and desires and you can put on the new man that is being remade in the image of its creator you are brand new you have the nature of christ you have the nature of god inside of you and you can live that out you are brand new luke chapter 12 32 says that god really enjoys giving you the kingdom it says uh um take joy little flock for it is the father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom another translation says it makes the father happy to give you the kingdom another says the father enjoys giving you the kingdom did you you get this he gets a lot of joy out of you getting the kingdom we we've been going through a series on healing house on our sunday mornings if you've been watching any of those services as we put them up and talking about the kingdom the the kingdom where you have the power to deliver people from demonic oppression the power to heal people from physical illness connection with god where you can hear his heart where you can hear his voice and have encounters with him this kingdom that gives you peace between god and man peace between man and man peace between man and creation it makes god happy he gets joy out of giving you the kingdom now this will change the way that you pray because if you believe that he gets joy out of giving you the kingdom then it shifts that thing that kind of feels bad for asking like well it's just a little thing i don't want to bother god with this no it's not a bother he enjoys it he loves it it makes him happy to do that see if god was limited in his capacity if he was limited in his power then it would be a bother to do the little things because he needs to spend his time his energy his power on the big things he's got a world to save like he's trying to hold things together right but that doesn't make any sense because he's absolutely unlimited he he is he is thinking about every single one of us it says that he knows every single hair that is on your head right now even how it changed the last time you brushed your hair or you ran your finger through your hair or one just kind of fell out or one grew in that wasn't there before he has an active count of every hair on every head of every person alive right now now that doesn't boggle your mind start thinking about the fact that he has named every single star and put them exactly into their place do you know how many galaxies there are and how many stars there are in each galaxy just just do a little study on on what the hubble telescope found they they found this wall which was a wall of galaxies there were so many of them it looked like a wall of stars but as they looked at it closer they realized it was millions of galaxies and they kept on looking and they were able to see through the wall and they found another one i think they called it the great wall or something like that it was it was just that many more of galaxies it was almost ten times as many as the previous set that they found and that's looking in one direction and he knows every single star by name he has no limit to his capacity he can deal with your headache he can deal with your hangnail he can raise the dead he can change a nation he can remake the whole universe at the same time and it doesn't cost him anything and he doesn't have to give less attention to one thing than another thing to do at all he loves giving you the kingdom he doesn't have to limit himself he doesn't have to pace himself he is all powerful all knowing all existing there is no limit there is nothing impossible for him and he enjoys it it is not a bother when you come asking for him he loves it first ephesians chapter 1 verses 3 through 6 says that you were known you were chosen and you were adopted before god created the world before he hung a single star in the universe god was dreaming about you that that word known literally means he'd experienced his knowledge of you was so real that he'd already experienced you before he breathed you you into existence before he he put that spark of life into these two cells that came together in your mother's womb and became you and he made those two cells into a living person he put a spirit within and you became before any of that he already knew you he already wanted you and he already called you his child that's amazing before the foundations of the universe before he created the angels before he created the heavenly hosts he already knew you he already he was looking at you already he was planning for you already an act says that he chose the exact moment that you were going to be born so that you would be alive at exactly the right time to fulfill the purpose that he had for you he chose the exact place that you were going to live down right down to the street to the house that you were going to live in for every season of your life where you're going to be at those things that look like random experiences that put you in places actually were the hand of god putting you where you needed to be so you could be the most effective at what he's called you to be that's astounding romans chapter 8 verses 35-39 says nothing can ever disconnect you from the love that god has for you nothing can ever separate you from the love that god has for you there's no angel in heaven there's no demon in hell that there's nothing past there's nothing future there's nothing present that there is nothing that can separate you from the love of god that he has for you now you can choose to not believe it but that doesn't stop his love there is nothing that can separate you he didn't he didn't even hold back his own son he he allowed his son to die a horrendous death because he wanted you he chose you and that's not going to change no matter what happens around you john chapter 10 verse 29 says that god is for you and no one can stand against you it's it's jesus talking about how god has put those that that are going to be his sheep his his children his flock he's put him into jesus's hand and and the father is protecting those so that none of those that he's given to him can ever be taken from him could be snatched from him could be removed from him by force and and the father is able to do that because there is not no one and nothing excuse me that could ever stand up to the father he is absolutely all-powerful your security in christ is based upon the power and the love of the father that that means that there's no demon in hell tormenting you that could actually take you away from him there's no situation no circumstance that could take you away from him you do not have to ever be afraid of something stopping you you can choose to walk away that's different but it would be your choice it wouldn't be because it wasn't your choice it wouldn't be outside of your choice he's chosen you and you're his and nothing nothing has the power to snatch you out of his hand because the father is watching over you john chapter 10 verses 27 and 28 says you can hear god's voice and god will guide you and god will protect you the the you are a sheep of the shepherd and you know the shepherd's voice you hear the shepherd's voice you follow the shepherd's voice it's because he knows you he wants you he's he's he has put within you to recognize his voice you may not realize that you recognize his voice but you do if you've given your life to him you clearly have heard his voice and followed him because the only reason that you did that is because you heard him calling you you may not have recognized that that's what it is but it is it doesn't mean you have to recognize it but it's true you hear his voice as one of the beautiful things that we get to do as streams is help people learn how to stop ignoring god because we've been taught how to ignore god our whole lives we don't have a problem with hearing god we have a problem with unlearning how to ignore him you hear his voice and he's guiding you he's gonna he's gonna put you in the right place at the right time he's going to protect you he's going to watch over you john chapter 3 verse 16 says you're going to live forever if you know jesus you are going to live forever you do not have to fear death death is not real for a believer it is a change of existence the body goes through a momentary stop and we're given a new body but our spirit does not stop to be absent from the body is to be present with christ we are with him we will live forever period ever ever now the hard thing is everybody gets to live forever the only question is where they live those that know christ live forever with him those that do not know christ live forever without him that's not a good option this is why we call people to know jesus he's beautiful he's lovely all of these he he's made available for free we cannot earn it we cannot deserve it we cannot do anything but he's made it available for free all we've got to do is say yes to him surrender our lives surrender our will follow him he will forgive us he will wash us clean he will put a new heart within us a new spirit within us and we will begin to be transformed and we'll start this process of sanctification where we become just like him and it will come to completion because he's doing it if you haven't done that yet now is a good time just say yes i need you jesus i want you god so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believed in him shall not perish but have everlasting life galatians chapter 5 verses 22 and 23 says that god's spirit within you is producing the fruits of love joy peace patience goodness kindness faithfulness gentleness and self-control that this is this is who god is making you into being those that know him making them more loving making them more joyful more peaceful more patient more kind more good more faithful more gentle it's beautiful acts chapter 1 verse 8 says that you will receive power when the holy spirit comes upon you and you will be his witnesses you have spiritual power because the spirit of god is in you there are spiritual gifts that are available you've been given authority over every sickness over every disease over every demonic spirit and you have power because of god in you one of these days we'll we'll talk a little bit about the difference between the union of our spirit with god's spirit and the baptism of the spirit but if you haven't seen the power of god activated in your life i'm just i want to release something because some of you um something's going to awaken receive the holy spirit in power receive the holy spirit in power just be filled right now by the holy spirit and power let the gifts that god has chosen for you be activated now in your life gifts of healings gifts of faith gifts of discerning of spirits of words of knowledge words of wisdom prophecy all the gifts miracles signs let them be activated now you have power from god second corinthians 5 21 says you are the righteousness of god that he who knew no sin became sin for us that we might become the righteousness of god he took on our sin and he died and took it to the grave and he gave us his life which is righteous and what we had is gone and his goodness has been the the word imputed it's been put upon us it's been given to us as if it was our own it comes from another it's his righteousness but we get it not the righteousness of our own that that comes by the the works of the law or the works of the flesh but the righteousness that comes by faith and faith in the son of god this righteousness you are the righteousness of god in christ jesus ephesians chapter 2 verse 6 says that you've been seated with christ in heavenly places in colossians chapter 3 it says that your life is hidden with christ in heavenly places so you should be setting your mind on the things above not on the things beneath because that's where your life actually is as you set your mind on heavenly things on the things above there's this saying that there's oh they're so heavenly minded they're of no earthly good that's impossible if you're actually heavenly minded that's the only way you will ever be of any earthly good there's a whole bunch of people that are so earthly minded they're of no heavenly good and if you are not heavenly minded you are not really of earthly good because you're missing the whole point now there are people that are just deluded and they're not truly heavenly minded they're people that are puffed up by their own supposed spirituality that's that's completely different that that's that that's a whole different issue when you're heavenly minded it's the only way you'll ever be of any earthly good because if you're not figuring out how to deal with the demonic powers that are keeping people in deception that are tormenting people that are holding people into sickness if you don't have power to to break disease and break illness if you don't have power to proclaim the truth of freedom and forgiveness in jesus christ you're not doing any good to the people that are perishing it's the only way that we can do good but you've been seated with christ in heavenly places far above all powers principalities every name that is named you've been seated with him he fills all in all it's about him and his reality and you are in that place and you're going to that place it's a beautiful thing second peter chapter 1 verses 3 through 4 says that you participate in god's divine nature because of the promises that god has given you that you're you're actually a partaker of god's divine nature through his promises that the promises the things that he said that they actually give you the ability to partake of that divine nature you become one spirit with him and his nature is in you remaking you into his image which means that the fruit of the spirit love joy peace patience goodness kindness faithfulness gentleness self-control they're coming in you they're coming out of you they're coming through you and you can put off the old man that that goes after the things of the earth and you can put on the new man that goes after the things of heaven because the mind that is set on the flesh is death but the mind that is set on the spirit is life and peace in christ jesus hebrews chapter 13 verses 5 through 6 says that god will never leave you nor abandon you god will never leave you nor abandon you how would you live different if you really believe that doesn't that just change everything it does it really does if we really believe it now we got to take it from here and get it to take this 18 inch journey down here it's one of the longest journeys in the whole world is going from the head to the heart but we can because he speaks it and and when revelation marries information we find transformation when revelation marries information we find transformation there's a lot of information that we've got in our head that hasn't changed our life because it hasn't been married with revelation it's like jesus told the pharisees you search the scriptures all day long but you do not come to me so that you may have life we need the scripture we need the truth we need the information but we have to have the power and the voice of the spirit breathing life into it to make it real so it leads to transformation he told the sadducees the reason that you're in error is because you do not know the scriptures nor the power of god they're both essential for transformation god will never leave you or abandon you romans chapter 8 verse 29 says that you are becoming just like jesus he was the firstborn among many brethren so that they should become just like him that that's who you are that's what is available that is astounding that we have been given this invitation to come into him wow some of you you might want to listen to this again a few times and let it soak into you look at the scriptures read them some of the scriptures especially the ones that are a little bit harder to grasp memorize them begin to pray them meditate on them let them sink deep into you let it let it begin to transform let it begin to change because when you understand who you are you you start to operate differently there's a confidence that you have not not a haughtiness and not a pride a confidence that you have before god and before people of confidence that you have in the face of opposition in the face of difficulties you're able to stand because you know who you are you know whose you are you know who he is in you and who you are in him and when you've gotten both of those things right there is almost no limit to what we can do it's amazing now if you want to go a little bit deeper into understanding holy spirit one of the resources that we have available on our website is called introducing holy spirit where i talk about understanding holy spirit as a person i touched on that just a little bit and i felt something on it and i know there's there's some of you that you you want to go deeper and god's inviting you to go deeper and and i want to encourage you because some so many times we don't understand who holy spirit is we think of holy spirit as a thing instead of as a person but he is the funnest most beautiful person that you will ever meet he he is a hilarious sense of humor and he's sensitive he is such a such a sweet heart when you get to know him oh it's amazing he's so beautiful when we begin to take him out of a thing and understand him as a person we start to understand i mean jesus was so careful with holy spirit and he basically says in one place hey talk about dad all you want talk about me all you want but you leave holy spirit alone basically what he says i mean is you know the the unforgivable sin is blasphemy against the holy spirit he's like hey you know you could talk about me but stop talking about holy spirit like there was there was a passion there when we get to understand that passion that love that god has for himself we step into that something begins to change so i want to encourage you i think i think that will help you and one of these days we'll start talking through because in that message i just read through a bunch of things that it says that the holy spirit does in your life and we'll we'll do that one of these one of these times as a teaching we'll go through those and just spend a little bit of time on each one of them because it's amazing when you start realizing how much that there is
