That's pretty interesting to watch - and I have my own opinion about it... Honestly, for all the money he spent on making this look absolutely spotless, I would have used the money elsewhere on the business. Obviously, I'm not going to knock anyone for emphasizing quality - but in the end, all this shows me is that he's a great interior designer and is really good at staging.
I checked out his site and then his other videos, and I'm a little confused because he's talking about selling thousands of shirts but he seems to be learning how to screenprint right now and doesn't seem to know how to do it...
So I'm a little confused there.
I mean, I don't see a single ink pot that has been used on his ink station shelf. I think that what I find lacking is seeing anything about the actual work itself. The guy has a gazillion heads on his printer and I don't see anything other than white or single color prints on black garments.
It's a lot of hat but is there much cowboy?
Workspace cleanliness is a direct reflection of the quality of work a shop produces?
...
I think workspace cleanliness is more reflected by the quantity of shirts produced TBH
Id take a messy shop that runs 5000 shirts a day over a spotless manual shop any day haha
I watched all his videos and I like the attitude he brings to his endeavor, attention to detail will get far in this business. It is the little things that can distinguish you from the rest, I wish I could afford or have the nerve to invest that much capital especially not knowing the craft. Hard work will definitively be in his future, but from what I have seen that is what he lives for. I worked in many print-shops years ago and this is by far the ideal home based setup. I do think ventilation will be an issue, but nothing that cannot be resolved as he grows his business. I have tired to do it all myself which is very challenging and I hope he can keep up with it all, especially making it a one stop shop. I wish him the best and look forward to see more videos as he moves forward. Thanks for the share OP.
It's completely boggling my mind that he spent all that money for his shop and had never screen printed before.
He has no exhaust for the conveyer dryer lol. Well, I guess I canβt hate but I am a kind of jealous, he has a bad ass setup from the get-go! Heβs basically ready to do a lot of different work.
Would love to see the rest of his house after that video.
Super nice room! Hope he does well. Hope thereβs more ventilation than Iβm seeing here, too
I remember the basement days. Hard to have customers over and get taken seriously. And hard to get taken seriously by potential hires. If you plan on looking forward and expanding, those are both big deals.
