Please note that this website is currently a work in progress! Lots of interesting data and statistics to come.
Long mixed feels post incoming:
I've always shared a similar opinion about Twinsanity. Weirdly enough, due to a list of very opposite reasons.
Even when the game came out I didn't like many of the jokes, 85% of the music was ear-grating with a couple of exceptions. However, I liked the one Nina segment we got but the half-a-level of Cortex gameplay we got was an absolutely disappointing. It's essentially just running a corridor and tapping the fire button with no real strategy whatsoever. I also had no problem with the varying gameplay as it wasn't really inconsistent and none of the gameplay modes felt apart from each other (although, seriously, only ONE ball-brawl level!?)
I understand that collecting gems to unlock concept art is kinda redundant these days (as you can find all the art and more with a simple Google search) but I personally liked the way the gems were hidden and it was genuinely a good challenge finding them all for the fun of it. The 100% unlock video for finding all the gems in both PAL and NTSC was complete bollocks, though.
Personally, I didn't mind Evil Twins or Evil Crash (to be fair, the Fowl Boys or whatever would've been a better name) but way way WAAAY more could've been done with the characters, or any side characters for that matter. Dingodile, Coco, N. Tropy and the gang are just pathetically thrown in to the plot but they don't contribute to anything nor have any conclusion of their own. Even Nina doesn't really serve any actual purpose for the plot and I can't really think any other reason for her inclusion except to have the Academy of Evil stages to the game (or to have a token third character, I dunno).
My biggest gripe with the gameplay is that there's very little "twinsanity-ing" in Twinsanity. The selling point was to play as both Crash and Cortex together but in the end there's very little of that. I would've loved more puzzle-based gameplay of the Ice Climb level through out the game but mostly it's just the usual Crash gameplay we've come know and love. Just imagine how much more fitting it would've been if the last level was Crash and Cortex getting around these puzzles even for half the duration. Even the final boss could've had more impact if instead of Mecha Bandicoot phase (which, again, just thrown in there with no explanation) Crash and Cortex would've fought them together.
But all in all I agree with the basic gist: it's a really enjoyable yet vastly unfinished game with potential. With a few more months of development time it would have probably merited a sequel which we probably needed more than CTTR or the Titans games.
My first contact with him and it was by complete coincidence. His humor doesn't work with me unfortunately. Too memey for me.
Well I'm disappointed there just isn't a large segment on Crash being spanked
I’ve been waiting for him to talk about this lol
