we're going to be breaking down everything you need to know to get started in wng wave combat wng wave combat involves you building a team of three characters every single character come with their own skills alt and summon starting off if you just hit your normal attack button then you'll enter a string of normal attack but if you hold that button instead you do a heavy charge attack and this is the same for every single character so yangyang has her own normal attack string but if you hold a button down then you do a charge attack instead one of the thing you immedi notice is that there is this yellow wheel that pop up when you do a charge attack this is your stamina bar and it's used for things like running around and doing charge attack and stuff you can also do a plunge attack by jumping and hitting the normal attack button now something you would notice is that this actually costs use stamina in order to perform stamina is used for four main aspect in combat starting off with dodging every single time you dodge it will cost you one stamina bar you can also run around in battle which will continuously drain your stamina and of course as we mentioned when you do a charge attack it'll cost you stamina or a plunge attack will cost you stamina looking at the bottom right of your screen you see five button starting off with the lock on weding Wave has a lock on features that help you keep track of where the enemy is so when you play the game normally your camera is kind of in a free look mode you can kind of look everywhere you can fight but this make it hard to keep track of the enemy so what you can do is press the lock on button to keep your camera centered on that enemy instead so now you see when I'm running around around my camera is always tracking that enemy and I can see what they're doing and I can attack them easier you can hold a button down to cancel the lock on going back to free camera mode or you can tab it again to switch Target so I'm going to tab it here to switch to the other Target at the back now it's tracking this Target and if I tap it again it keep track of the other Target and this make combat a lot easier moving on to the next button this is your Gadget now this is not really that useful in combat it's mostly for like when you're exploring the game and you can use the sensor Gadget to detect what is in your fi of field for the most part I'll just keep it on the grapple hook during your actual combat that's cuz the grapple hook is ssy usage of being able to reposition you and dodging and then you got your free ability button which are again your skills your Echo summon and your ALS skill is pretty straightforward you just click the button and just come out you can choose what each character summon will be by heading into the echo tab under your character screen and changing the first echo on this screen right here which is located at the very top you see that each echo in this game come with a different Echo ability and this determin what your summon would do for example for the Thundering meis you will transform into him and doing a bunch of that attack but you can also do a different summon like the mushroom that summon a baby mushroom and then fire in a laser something you notice is that each skills and summon has their own unique cool down but because characters have unique skills and summon the kol down is not Shar so I can switch to yangyang and then cast her skills and that's put her own skill onto cool down but you'll see that when I switch back to Rover because the cool down keep ticking in the background his skill is already up and again I can switch to yangang here you can see I can cast her skills again the cool down is not Shar and finally we got the alt button the thing you notice about the alt button is that there is a gauge around it this is the energy representation and you can only cast your s if the energy bar is full so here I'll switch to Rover and you'll notice that my energy bar is full on my alt and therefore I can click the button it will cast my ALS just like that just like a skill and summon every single character has their own ALS as well as energy and so you'll notice that my Rover have no energy now cuz I just cast his ALS but my yangyang has about 75% energy and my modify has full energy and so his ult will be available the energy is independent from each characters and when a character ult is ready you'll see a small check mark next to their portrait indicating that that character has their ALS available for you to use getting energy is pretty straightforward you kind of just attack the enemy and you can see my energy bar is going up using a skill will build energy a lot faster though character can build old energy even if they're background just slower so here you can see my modify has zero energy but if I switch and attack on let's say another character like my Rover I'll be able to build alt energy even on mortify even though he's in the background just like that you can see I built about a quarter of the energy there you can read the ability for every single characters under their skill Tab and here when you click on it it'll give you a short description on what they do for example Rover skills launch a simple attack forward and it does spectral damage while Rover all just you know explode but the thing that you should be careful about is going to be what they call the Forte circuit you notice that above every single character's HP bar there is this secondary resource gauge here this is the representation of the Forte circuit and this is you unque for every single characters in the game so you can see Rover has two bar of these yellow thing while yangyang just have free empty gauge and so each character has a different resources representation for their Forte circuit and this is why it is really important to read what they do because depending on the characters the way you activate the Forte circuit will be very very different so we're going to demonstrate the Forte circuits of yangyang so you see there are currently free empty resource bar right now but I can fill this resource SP by for example casting my skills and now you see one of these bar filled up and I can fill it with let's say my heavy charge attack like that the main thing is that when you are able to successfully fill all of them up you can activate a special attack in the case of yangyang you can do this really cool punch attack by jumping and then holding a charge attack and then it'll consume all the forage circuit that you have built up and again every single character uses their Forte circuit differently Rover for example will Empower your skills so when you click a skill it will consume the Forte circuit and do more damage fortunately for you I'm going to be making guy for this game so if you subscribe to the channel you'll be getting the most updated latest character guy and that will tell you what each characters do the final thing that you'll notice at the bottom of the screen is this concerto energy bar and when this bar filled up and you switch character you get a very special effect again this bar is separated for each character so Rover has its own bar while modify has his own bar and you can see that in both of the cases when I switch characters nothing really special happened I just switch characters but look at yangyang for example so on yangyang I have already built a full energy and now when I switch characters it'll do a very special intro attack if we come back to the skill screen of each characters you notice that there are two things I haven't covered yet and that is the outro skills as well as the intro skills basically when you fill up the entire concerto energy bar and you leave the field by switching the characters you trigger the outro skills and then the next character that switch in will perform their intro skills so in this example I have full consal energy on my Rover and if I switch to yangyang now I'll trigger Rover's outro skills as well as yangyang's intro skills because these are the characters that are leaving the field and entering the field and just like your ultimate you can build this energy by attacking but more importantly is that when you dodge you actually build this energy as well or you can do a Parry attack like this this and you can see it also fill the energy sometimes enemy in this game will do a perable attack and you know because of the circle that is scoring around them in order to Parry just hit into the enemy when their circle is full and is flashing a successful Parry will push the enemy back in addition to massively deting their stagger bar which is located under the HP bar of the enemy not that you can't trigger a Parry on every single one of your characters attack if your character has a melee attack then usually it's always going to be able to trigger a Parry on the other hand gun character in this game can't ever trigger a Parry so you can't Parry with gun character at all and for other character in this game like yinlin it really just depend on the move set so it's a good idea to test your character and getting used to which attack can trigger Parry or not other than parrying the enemy attack away your main defensive option in this game is going to be perfect dodging you can trigger a perfect Dodge by dodging right before an enemy attack is about to connect to you a successful perfect Dodge will prevent you from taking any damage successfully doing a perfect Dodge allow you to trigger a counter attack which is done by triggering your normal attack input right after you do a Dodge so after each perfect Dodge you can trigger a counter attack simply by doing a attack input and this will be a special counter attack let's go back to the enemy stagger bar located under the HP we talked about before that if you trigger a paring you will be able to massively deplete the enemy stagger bar but you can also deplete it by simply normal attacking or by doing a intro and outro when you successfully deplete the enemy entire Stager bar they going to get knocked down for a certain amount of period of time and this is when you get free damage in in fact it is so free that you can even take a picture with your enemy the enemy will get back up once the Stager bar is fully depleted again and then in which they will resume their normal attack pattern and so putting everything together gu you this for the most part this covered the absolute basic if you're coming to weathering wave for the first time and you just want an introduction to the combat I'll be giving a lot of advanced tips and tricks so if you haven't subscribed to the channel this will be a good time otherwise I'll see you next time bye-bye
