so here we are back in kettlebridge the lovely Autumn slf depending on which area of the world you are from and the trees are just looking magnificent I've gone around done a little bit of decorating here and there off camera in lie of this episode being mainly focused on the production chain that we have people are using our lovely key wall along here which is great we've got this millionaires mansion that we popped in last episode got the amazing view across our Riv here and I've just been plopping some trees around working on some of the parks and things along the back here too just move along the front here I've added in a nice little path over the top so we're not getting lots of people trying to cross over here and getting in the way of our entry to the city through this roundabout so I've just set this up and I've also put some trees as well oh auto save let's have a quick sipper [Music] te and I also put some trees down the middle of our main roads to sort of demarcate those so this one up here this one that goes around here and this one I've continued as well I've just moved over our water pumping station thing because this one is going to end up going across over here but let's have a look at the natural resources that we have available to us if we come up here into our info views we've got the natural resources button there and we've unlocked all the way to the end up here so we can make use of some of this Farmland because some of the items we've got needs be placed on fertile land chicken anywhere you like grain farming fertile land vegetable fertile land textiles you haven't got that yet but fertile land forestry obviously in trees you can plant your own forest but that's going to take a long time to grow so keep that in mind Stone anywhere you like coal mining on coal ore on ore and oil on oil so we'll get to those now these few that we've got unlocked can really help us with making money and the production chain in our city and just before we this button so you'll notice some of the basic materials that we can make in our city and we have a huge deficit so that means we are producing zero at the moment in the city and we're importing all of of these items so that's going to be costing us money but in the way our city is running at the moment the things that industry needs or commercial needs uh what the people need as well for the upkeep of their houses that's where the Stone comes in um don't know what they're doing buying tons of stone and sticking them on the side of their houses to build things but anyway um and for making of the food as well we need these items as you can see if we open up the material goods and scroll down here so some of the material Goods we're making locally so we're importing these items we're then turning them into some goods and we have a little bit of surplus as well which is good but things like petroleum you know we're really having to ship that in which is costing us a lot and some of these items down here textiles which is this one here we're shipping in food is normally one that we have to ship in quite a lot that's Timber food convenience food so we're actually making some of that locally which is good but there's some things we can do to help this so first of all let's start with this one up here and what I'm going to going to do is if we just take a little screenshot of those different items there then we're going to use some of this fertile land to place some of those items so we'll take the grain farming first of all now I really want to make use of everything that we've got here um I'm thinking just like a a windy Gravel Road would be quite good along the edge here there we go and then we can sort of build off of that and get some interesting looking Farms I'm going to add another little Road in the middle there there we go and we're definitely going get a few farms in here so let me Place some of these down now we don't really need to go overboard on these um let's have a look so it's hard to always tell which one you're drawing first when you when this pops open but you see this side has the angle on it that is the one that you're drawing first right click to get rid of those if you think it's this one over here then eventually you start crossing over and it doesn't work but look at the one with the angle and then you'll know you'll be fine so there is no figures once you've placed these down as to how much of of let's have a look how much resources exactly you're making um I don't want to go that big I'm going to sort of go here we're going to end up redrawing these afterwards anyway there we go so that's placed in there yep I know no water electricity and stuff at the moment do not worry about that so we have a look in here we just get this efficiency uh information flowers flower has moved in they're making of the grain which is what we want and we're getting some weird Shadow stuff going on today what is the time of day 11:40 see the sun should be rising in the sky H it's around somewhere but we can't see it quite just yet so ideally we would just want to get this efficiency up which of course at the minute they're complaining about um and the higher that is the more we will produce it would be nice if we had some figures in here but we've got to assume that as it goes up a level we produce more so let me just plop a couple more of these in [Music] there we go so we get some nice looking different farms and things let me just keep things on pause while we're doing this so we go down here we've got the specialized industry area tool so now what you can do uh you can grab these and you can really sort of start to get them all lined up exactly how you want in the area and even when you get to little roads like this if we turn off the snapping which I've got a little key set to there we go that is in the options you can really start to get this right up against the road and making there we go a nice little area with basically as many little points on here as you wish there we go so much nicer on that side let me just clean up this side as well there we go that's looking good nice little bit of Farmland there so I'm thinking about the road coming in and do I just want a highway connection here which can then bring people in on this road or do we want to add an extra Road well eventually we're going to have a bridge going across here and this main road is going to bridge across here so what I'm thinking we're going to do is use one of our extra tiles and grab those to there across the river and I'm going to bring this across it's going to be a very long bridge but that's fine I don't mind doing that and add some sort of intersection in there so let's just take a look at this if we get right in the middle of that we can delete that excellent and I'm also going to delete this little part of Broad Street and we're going to take this medium Road here now what I've done on these roads we did used to have this four-lane road in here let me just show you this I'll Place one of those down and place one of these with the central reservation down as well if we use our road tools and we want to pop some grass on here with these ones we can only do the outside like that with these ones we can do the outside and the middle as well so you get the choice of either or I should say you can do the outside like that or you can do the middle and then when you place the tree you've got the option for the middle or the option for the outside on those so that's why I change these roads out and pop the trees in and over time they will obviously grow and be much better bigger trees right so this road here we're going to use I'd like to get in this four-lane tied Arch Bridge we haven't unlocked the grand grand bridge yet progressor node Grand Bridge let's have a quick look where that is in here wow Mama Mia so that's 8 12 14 more points to get all the way across to there we're probably going to have some other big Bridges around this seems to me like it should be the grand bridge but once we've got the points we'll maybe unlock that when we can and this actually is a little bit higher along here which is good so what I'm going to do is bring that out straight and then hopefully with a bit of jiggery pokery we're going to get that to be there we go a minus 0.6 so that is a little rise and then I'm hoping we can just get straight across here over the top of the pedestrian Road I'm not entirely sure that's going to be high enough to do so I tell you what I probably need to do is do a little bit of terrain work here so if we just lower this one down grab the height here and just push that back there we go and then just see if we can do that again coming straight out from here yeah it's not going to do it is it we we need to dip this bit down okay this is this is learning we're learning here so if we dip this road down we'll take that tool there I'm going to drop that strength down to 30 right click couple of three notches then take that height and push it back I'm trying not to get that road to do the cut and fill thing which in certain circumstances is great but in this circumstance I don't want it so let's look at that little slope in the middle plus 0.8 is near enough it hasn't done the cut and Fu excellent so now we it go straight across here if we can get this to line up more or less oh actually we're going to use this one weren't we is that going to work it might just take a little bit more poke it's is going to be a huge Bridge isn't it how am I going to get this bridge over the top oh I think I've done it I just raised this one ever so slightly so we could get out this way and I think we're going to be able to do it so let's just hook on to there and this is going to be a very long bridge and try and get this 180° there we go 180 excellent plus 0.5 that is not too bad at all 3.2.1 minus 0.1 let's go for the plus and that should be okay all the way across there it should look okay over here excellent that's going over brilliant and then we've just got to work on a bit of an intersection over here and see what we're going to do I don't think think I've got intersections unlocked we don't so let's dive into here we've got to get large roads as well and then intersections so that's using up all of our points but we do get some lovely options in here that we can place down so I'm not thinking we need a super huge interchange here and I do obviously want one that goes both ways um I'm just looking at the sort of roads that have been used here so something like that with the four-lane road in the middle will probably work perfectly well and unfortunately this little piece here isn't oh do you know what if I line that up so this has got that mod in that auto replaces the roads that actually will fit in and then it's only going to add on the extra little bit that we need oh man that just looks perfect isn't it oh look at that that is another mod that's been added to the game the only downside is is this bit of the road here I don't think it's necessarily going to meet up with the height there and it hasn't quite connected there but we can we can fix that I'm just wondering whether to delete this final segment of the bridge here and then if we take the road that we were using which was this one and we can sort of go from there to down here somewhere and match that up let's just see what we can do does make for a bit of a steep slope at the end but I don't think that's impossible get a nice bit of cut and fill and that joins up nicely there excellent um and then obviously we want to just sort of sort this bit out and I'll probably just redo that one there as well which is fine so what have we got there another auto save every time you see the graphics do that and you get this little symbol pop up in the corner that's just the autosave working in the background um I think we've got a two lane one coming through here by the look of it let's just see if we can do this yeah that makes more sense now we have access to this now looking at our terrain over here we've got this train line up here that we are going to want to hook into at some point we could actually buy another Square to grab that but I don't believe we've got trains unlocked this one or the other at the moment so maybe let's just hang fire for the trains what I am going to do is extend this road here here we go and we'll just see where that goes and we're going to bring this road in I mean that could literally just come straight into here let's lower that back down to ground level 180° yeah and that could go straight into there and then we're going to get Lanes going in each direction we might upgrade a bit of this we'll see how it goes uh let's just check all the power and stuff so we can see some of these roads the highway roads do not carry the power so we're going to add these uh underground by the way I come out of this view here you do get a different Looking Power p po this is the power pole at the normal height if you go up a height let's do it so you can see you get that one there we go so you get and then you get the underground as well for these large power lines uh you get the underground you get the normal looking one go up again you get this one so instead of that view is like that you go up again oh no that's it so you get the three and then you get the underground one so yeah I'm just going to hook these up not sure why we're getting an overlapping item there but we'll just go around that road and that should be oh we've got the bridge as well to get across so what you want to do when you do these is make sure that if you're hooking on there and going along that they're still underground and that should jump up and hook up I'm just going to pop that in there let's just check no it hasn't because that is way up in the air so I'm going to bring that up here and I'm just going to hook into the side there and the same for the power the power's actually been taken across there so now if we unuse all of these items should kick in and should work y they're all whoops they're all very happy excellent so what we can do now maybe is this road is going to carry across this way so I'm just going to maybe pop this in here so we don't fill this up with farms and such right so I'm just thinking we might just add another little farm over here as well we've got lots of wheat Farms let's add a carrot Farm in there as well I'll probably just utilize as much of this space as we can there we go excellent and then I'll just use this to line it up again there we go looking good looking good now we know this side there isn't any fertile land so what we could do over here is um I'd like a little community in the middle here with some houses and things CU obviously if we just have a look at this efficiency I mean they're 102% already because employee happiness is high but they don't have enough employees so we could get that even higher there's eight people that are happily traveling across here for that that one uh four out of five for that one five out of seven four out of 11 so that's obviously a little bit bigger piece of land yeah so they're traveling over which is good but we could sort of build a little community in here so what I'm just thinking of doing is maybe just have in a little road coming off the side here oh got that in curve curved mode by mistake there we go and just run in just thinking some extra little roads like that would be good and then we can always just connect these up U let's have a look along here so I am going to want to get a little bit more farming either side of this and maybe just opposite that one there and I'm hoping what's going to happen here is this will be used by the people to travel up to work and they the farmers and things will use the main road we could just upgrade if I've got the space this end piece here yeah there we go and this one here and I think I want to just make that a little bit further along here let's just grab that road segment that off and say we want to upgrade that there we go excellent so they get the asymmetry going and out bit easier for the turning and the stuff and then we could just have a little community over here as well get some people in we have some needs and things now let's just maybe Zone some of these in and we need forget to press record nobody can hear what you're saying so I've popped a little bit of industry in over here because if we check the wind direction it's coming away from all of our residential so that should be fine and then hopefully what we'll find is when these residential uh when these industries pop in they're related to what we've got not necessarily and we'll come back to that so this one here there we go that's going to be storing grain by the look of it it's going to be like a storage building uh this one's taking that grain turning it into beverages this one's working on the timber that's textile so obviously these are other needs that we've got in our city but yeah we'll talk about those in a moment and then in the middle here I've just popped a couple of chicken farms because or livestock as they show up but they're chicken because they don't need the fertile land so I'm just going to spend a couple of minutes uh lining all of these up and then overall I'm liking the way it's looking we got a little bit of commercial a little bit of office and also oh that was something else I mentioned was their services their needs will be taken care of by the services down here not having them so near to this will lower the land value which will be okay because some people need cheaper rent and unless we actually put any districts in which we haven't done yet the services will just cover everywhere so I'm quite happy to do that okay so this little Community is growing up well over here we can see how we can expand that out excellent so let's take a look at our production over here so lovely lovely lovely we are producing an absolute ton of the grain I keep calling it wheat I think and we've got a surplus that we're going to be selling which is fantastic uh the livestock or the chicken we need a little bit more of that and the carrot we need a little bit more of that so what I think we might do is switch out one of these which were yeah not the items that we need and add some of the chickens in here instead and see if we can balance those items out a little bit better yep don't worry spotted my mistake this is obviously a nice piece of fertile land so I'm putting vegetables in here instead oh can you connect that up for me to there to there fantastic and then this piece of land over here that I've put some zoning in which we're going to remove this can be for another chicken farm I like the way you can click and drag to delete things a lot quicker than it used to be oh I missed some there we go excellent and I'm right in saying this isn't fertile land aren't I yes excellent very good so let's just pop in another oh another chicken farm over here so let's check back on our production over here and I think we're yeah we're absolutely bossing it with the grain lots of surplus being sold chicken is doing fine carrots we do need a little bit more space we have one more square that we can unlock which is not that button oh we have five more tiles we can unlock so I'm thinking if we just put this on here we're going to take this one and no we're not going to take that one we're just going to take this one here so we can extend out a little bit and what I'm thinking of doing let's have a look at our road layout is curving this road around a bit so we can fit some Farm in here that's it we'll go out in a little Direction like that and we've got this teeny tiny bit of fertile land that we can use over here so what I'm going to do is I'm going to take one of these small roads and we are just going to wrap that right along there like so excellent and which one was it just remind myself yep yiy carrots we're going to grab some of those and we're going to pop a little farm in here oh we've unlocked the dairy house excellent let me lay out this farm and then we'll take a look at that so let's just have a look at this for a moment this house here is waiting for a hearse um there are two people coming over here let's see where they're coming from so all the way over here it is a long journey to get there so we may add once we start expanding this area we may add some local services but we'll see how we go okay so let's check out the dairy house while we wait for all these extra Farms to kick in so this is oh we've got our condos here we haven't added yet as well excellent so this Dairy house is plus two industrial efficiency Citywide plus two export profits Citywide percentage wise so that is really good let's just have a look at this building and I think that will go really nice over here to add a little bit of an industrial vibe to this Hub that we've going on what about if we could squeeze it over here in this little section let's take this road here we could bring that out at 90° there sort of angle that down and then curve that around to fit in there we can sort of make use of this little spot here and let's have a look what it looks like the back of it I really wanted it sort of facing the front here so what we might just do is give it a little extra Road there we go like a little fronted drad that you'll come off uh to go into there and then we can pop that right on there let's have a look at that that is is a Nifty looking building we can plant some trees around that excellent oh this area this little area is looking very very nice I'm loving all the farm work brilliant so that's going to give us those nice little bonuses and while we're here what does this condo do plus four well-being within 1 kilometer well looking at the style of this condo oh wow this is pretty pretty big oh looking at that I don't really want to pop that over this side but we've got all of this stuff along the front here is there a nice little piece of land along the coast along the Waterfront where we could put this and still get the benefits I'm thinking yeah maybe this little spot here and we could turn this little spot let's just pop it against there into a nice little Parkland and things as we go along let's just look at the details in this building these new 4k textures are looking brilliant love it love it love it okay so let's just move back over here let's check out our production how are we doing almost there a little bit of extra time I think we'll be okay with all of these brilliant so now that we've done that oh I did it I added one more carrot Farm down here and now we're in a surplus of carrots as well excellent so let us scroll down to the material good section so the biggest deficit we've got is petroleum we're not getting into that yet but we've got ones like convenience food so that has probably dropped down from earlier let me just go back and check what the Figures were yeah so checking back we're more or less making the same amount of convenience food and normal food but our deficit is grown because obviously our city has grown we need more of those items but we can manipulate the industries to to a certain extent to try and help with this um let's maybe see if we can reduce the deficit on convenience food so we go into our Taxation and go to Industrial convenience food has the same tax rate as everything else if we pop this down to 5% in fact I'm going to even pop that down to 0% so we're going to say if you come in and make convenience food for us that you are basically going to get a complete tax break uh from us that is what we're going to do um I'm just going to maybe add in a couple more rows over here just so we can fill out this zoning let's just maybe go to there and bring that over to here I meant to use this one so let's just change that there we go so now if we Zone in some industry there is a higher chance that we will get industry that will work on convenience food I don't normally want to put it on the main road so we're going to remove that one there and we'll pop that one in there as well so let's just let that run for a second now as soon as the crank there if there's a big demand for it you will get people moving in straight away now there's two ways that this can go and I'm wondering whether this is going to be slightly changed as time goes on so that's storage for beverages that's taking Rock making concrete so if we're not making this material here that is required locally is going to be shipping in from the outside so you get more of an idea of how that works and then it's producing metal that metal could be used elsewhere internally or shipped out for profit uh textiles was something that was on our list of something that we were in a deficit of here we go so really textiles petrochemicals are the two so if we get any of those popping up I'm going to keep them but let's try and concentrate on our which food was this uh convenience food and get that one down is anything that's not textiles or convenience food or petrochemicals I'm going to delete it and see what comes in instead another thought now this isn't confirmed yet is I do get the impression that certain industries need a certain size of Zone cuz sometimes you you got a small little Zone like this you you'll never get the one that you want um where sometimes textiles are a lot larger buildings yeah so we need to sort of keep an eye on that as well but this will be something that I'll be I'll be going through for a few minutes and hopefully once it's done we'll get the benefit of it I'm thinking at some point now people are going to start moaning as soon as I say this that there will be a mod at some point that's going to change this or I'm hoping that there will be a way in game to change this that the fact that we've adjusted the tax rate so much down to zero that we should be seeing more of this in fact I'm even going to go minus 10% I'm going to pay you now to come in and make the convenience food for us how about that as an incentive so let's just see how long this takes to get what we want and I won't let you sit through that because yeah I'll just do it myself okay from quite a while of whacka Mo I'm thinking the way the game is working at the moment is it's less affected by the taxation that you would think I've made this minus 10% I've made textiles 30% to really try and knock that one down but it seems that it takes this into consideration or it'll be this one here into consideration more than anything else cuz we're getting a heck of a lot of petrochemicals and we're getting a lot of textiles because this deficit is a lot higher than these deficits here so that sort of makes sense I mean we do have the ability to make textiles from a few different items so maybe we could add in let's have a look what have we got what have we got let's have a look in here so we do have the ability to do c we don't have have the ability for o uh oil I should say that is Big Town how far away are we boom busy big so we've got a bit of a jump before we get up to there so maybe let's help that along a bit we do have some needs in our city our education so at the minute people are traveling from here all the way down there for our different educational uses but we do need a college we've got a lot of people that want to go the capacity is low so we could possibly pop in some stuff over here let's have a look our college is going to be pretty large isn't it so maybe we need to sort of take in a separate piece of the land for this and I'm thinking could we have that facing they're not going to mind it being right by the highway are they if we do that and it would look quite nice driving down the highway as well then we can add in the Road Connections that we need if we bring that up to let's say up to here there we go a little connection like that that should have everything it needs yeah very good we can do a little bit of decorting along the front here but what a beautiful view apart from all the rain that we're getting I think that is a pretty beautiful view um I definitely think we're going to be upgrading this road along here to something a bit more substantial now that we've sort of worked out how this area is going to work let's have that going right across there and I'm thinking as well really want to start helping the people to get in and out of this area let's have a look how are things going down here I mean the traffic's okay we'll leave the traffic lights in there I'm thinking a little bit of services over here we could add a crematorium 31 a month healthc care I don't know actually I mean as I'm saying that someone's arrived there we go yeah so they they need to being taken care of and we don't want the land value to get too high so you have a lack of high skilled labor let's just pop in here and take a look so it is the educated which is the college level which we've just done so hopefully that will be taken care of by the college that we have over here I'm assuming your problems are the same educated educated and this will be educated as well yeah excellent so that is going to help a bit with that so now that that is working through the system hopefully more people going to the college over here eventually more students um I'm just wondering actually uh they can't cross over they can walk there so we'll we'll leave that like it is I might just add a few little paths and things in just to sort of encourage walking there we go and they can cross over there if they wish and walk down to here excellent that'll be good everybody else can sort of walk through yeah we'll be fine so why don't we work on some of the other deficits we've got we do have let's have a quick look in here a big deficit on the wood 25 tons and we've got some space over here a lovely Big Forest now these trees as we click on them we can see that they've got an amount of wood that's available where if we click on perhaps actually let's plant a brand new tree for comparison there we go that one there zero wood from that order ouer order order I think it is so I'm going to buy this Square here um let's buy this one and that one so then we've got access to the highway there I'm just thinking yeah that will be okay I think eventually I don't want to just buy a load of tiles eventually this road might continue down and go underneath and go into there but for now we can attach to that so we can definitely get some of that wood consumption that need under control um let's pop in another little intersection we've got like this little teardrop roundabout one which I quite like that'll probably fit in we've got a single point Urban interchange that is huge roundabout interchange pretty big can we fit the roundabout interchanging CU I like that one is there a way of lining this up if I just sort of do that we're probably going to need to remove some of the rows underneath let's go for this one that's a nice size I bet if I wiggle this enough we'll get that to line up I tell you what we probably going to have to do is just delete these sections in here there's a lot of wiggling I'm looking at the Rose at the side trying to get it as straight as possible and it's going to be difficult but we're going to do it I think that is it there a what is stopping it okay let's go this way a bit I didn't see the power line there we might just have to do a little bit of work on some of the roads I'm going to line up the roads on the bottom down here and then these ones at the top will work on a bit uh this might be a good idea just to show how there's not move it built into the game uh highways what is that two Lane but we do have some sort of option there we go like that to sort of move things around when you upgrade it so I'm upgrading it to exactly the same road if I sort of shift that one down a little bit and then shift this one up a little bit we've we've sort of moved into a more acceptable way of lining up that one is that whole segment so what I'm going to do is maybe just grab a piece of that just do that so we just get another little node in there hopefully that's just going to remember that there's a node in there yeah and I think that'll be okay so you get the idea of how it works I I think it's a lot better than what it used to be um let us do that through to there that's going the right way oh auto save e it's going the right direction okay uh this road here I'm just wondering whether we could have some under the highway thing going on I don't know anyway so now we've got access to this road so let's have a look what have we got so that is a smaller Road actually just want to look at the terrain as well it actually looks pretty flat through here but I want to make this road interesting rather than have it going straight through and I think eventually that might go into a bridge over there so now we can add in some of our Forestry [Music] there we go so we've got it's a bit hard to see we've got our three different farming uh areas here for the wood uh there we go so we got one employee there one employee there one employee there so this will go up once everybody moves in added a little bit of industry down here I mean we could let's see which way is the wind blowing it is sort of blowing this direction so we could even add in here a couple of little properties where people will live can I bring that out I can go as far as there so I tell you what we'll leave it like it is and we'll just Zone in maybe a house there and a house there yeah why not I think we'll struggle putting anything down here and then we've got this little section here along the main road and then what I'm going to do with this one is I'm going to pop little roundabout on the end so we sort of get a little colder sack it doesn't really uh work as a CER sack you can't Zone around it because of course the devs know that we don't Zone them round about which is good but unfortunately it means that uh yeah you'll get these little okay can you go away I don't think that's working exactly the way I wanted it go away I wanted a gap in the middle there there we go excellent and then we'll get a house over there it's a shame we can't toggle Zone in that would be really good but at least this way we're going to get a teeny tiny bit of a community feel going on here with some houses I'm going to do the smallest ones available y there we go I think that will do and then we do have some Park options dog park we're going to pop that over there just to brighten things up and hopefully that'll be enough people that can come and work over here oh and there we go nice little community of a a few small houses in here I'm liking the look of this very good very good bit of parking in here because oh look at that Dodge Charger or something have no idea I'm not a car head um bit of Industry over here which is what we need we've actually got some more convenience food items that are popped in in here which is nice and then I've added one more forestry industry over on this this side which takes in a reasonable area you can just about sort of see the change in color there so now if we go back to our production we do have a surplus on those as well and as for these ones down here we're going to have to wait because we haven't unlocked the cotton yet but the other big one we can do is Stone Mining and as I mentioned before stone is used in the upkeep of houses um so having good cheap access to Stone is a very good idea now I'm just wondering where we could pop that and I'm thinking we did say having some industry the other side over here I'm going to buy that tile there so we could do a bit of expansion across this way and maybe have a little bit of stone I mean there's not a huge amount of Hills there's this hill here that we could dig into so maybe just that little triangle space that we've got here could be a Stone mine yeah how about that off of Holly Highway and Grove Highway first of all I'm going to continue our little key wall detail that we've got going along here this is a very Rocky piece of land uh if you didn't see all the ins and outs of doing this uh then you want to check out the last episode but basically the idea is you to get a lower piece of land like that and a higher piece of land like that and then as you draw what we're using here is the pedestrian street I'll continue with that but we might sort of change that at some Point um I'm going to turn off all my snapping so I can move it up and down and you want to get that slope figure in the middle as near to zero as possible let's just go a little bit back here minus two I mean that's probably oh we need to Let's up the height a bit there we go that's where we start 3.7 just something like that and then you'll get plus 0.5 there we go and then you get the key wall on one side which is good then he can just remove that uh piece of land like so excellent so let me just continue that around here oh I think this has worked out well let's just get rid of that bit of land there we've got a bit of a height difference there but we did say at some point we're going to be rebuilding the industry so I'm not too worried um but also we've got this in here um I've sort of blocked this off so it's not going out into our main Waterway but at some point we're going to replace uh this little sewage out outlet with uh let's have a look here with the advanced water pump with this one wastewater treatment plant we're not there yet so I'm hoping we can sort of deal with that at some point we shall see um this road through here I'd like to make that I don't think we necessarily need to make it a massive um what's that a wooden Covered Bridge we've got this one here two-lane truss Arch Bridge oh that could be nice let's have a look at that so if we grab let's make that a little bit larger I think 50 should be fine grab that height there and think that's going to come straight across to here yes excellent and then see if we can do that no because we've got oh I see it wants that extra little bit being added to the trust Bridge okay we'll be able to get straight across with this anyway 180% yep that'll do nicely and it's gone over the little key wall detail that we've got there we'll smooth that out we'll come back to that so then over here I'm thinking we could just have that go over the top and into this area I never know how many little dots to go up when you've got on the lowest one that's five that's six but then we're going to run out of space let's go back six is the one okay that's fine so then we're going to bring that into there there we go and then we'll do the same going down the other side oh ah there we go excellent and then we're going to bring it up into this area so we're going to sort of dig into this mountain Hill that we've got here with our Stone mine let's just take that off there so which side is the road the road's that way so we have it go sort of like that I mean we really could sort of bring that right down low here I was going to pop it at an angle like so and then we could I mean we're going to draw this in and it is going to give us what I have to say isn't the best sort of looking color yeah like that and you can sort of adjust that if you want uh not the color obviously the way it looks by a bit of terraforming this down to sort of look like you're really digging into the terrain so I mean if we sort of took a a level there like so I wonder whether we could do something clever and have a road running up through there oh he's just giving me a little thought let's just have a little play with this tool here and see whether now I can't see the terrain height can I nice so there's the line coming through here I want a road to go up and through there so using this tool we should be able to add in need to come over here don't we let's grab the end we should be able to add in like a little a little section like this yeah there we go then it goes back down that's far too wide don't worry we're going to change that oh where's the building oh darn it there's no building there let me just do do this again okay this time I drew it straight in there we go excellent with the missing section in the middle so what I'm sort of thinking I always tend to end up using the gravel rows for the industry CU I just like the way that they look sort of give it a more I don't know utilitarian look until we sort of get industrial roads and that sort of thing and then I want a road coming like through here which we're going to butt up against and then I want this sort of coming down the terrain yeah there we go that doesn't look too bad and then using this tool here we know what to do we can just line this thing up to the road just sort of adds that little bit of extra detail there we go that we might not have got before let's bring that one all the way down yeah I mean we'll try that it looks interesting maybe we could do another little layer up here yeah let me just do that as [Music] well yeah if you're going to do similar easier to draw all the roads in first and then sort of fiddle around with all this extra extra stuff like that could it's it's just easy all together so now I can drag that one all the way down to there I can can drag that one all the way up to there then I can mess around with the the Curves in there in the moment yeah and now I'm all the way around each side so I can sort of line all of this up there we go all done it may be at some point um we unlock some sort of building that then allows us there we go that sort of goes with this that we could sort of build into here somehow I don't know I don't know all the unlocks um so but that we've got sorted that we've got sorted are they happy they're happy there we go excellent uh let's have a look at here employees one okay well fair enough and they're going to be doing of the rock which is what we need and then we could even add a little bit of extra industry in here as well I'm going to take that one up to there NOP I didn't want to do that I want to go straight just up to there yep I don't know why I was going to put the industry off the side of this but it seems such a small little bit of space we might as well just pop a few of these in along here we'll have a couple along there there build that a bit bigger and maybe a couple long there and we we just sort of build up the area I'm just thinking actually for the industry what have we got we've got a vehicle Factory and we need 10 oil drilling Hub buildings flipping neck um we need 10 ground Earth crushing large rocks okay well this is the one that we want mining Hub area building one out of 10 do you know what I'm thinking I'm thinking that there's going to be a way to cheese that so if I place another nine of these what do they cost there is no cost until let's just have a look at our figures down here 1.7 so if we do a I don't think this is going to work the building hasn't appeared is it but I think it will still count can I hook that in yeah that building hasn't appeared properly H seem to found a little teeny tiny bug there let's try that again so if I do that and Escape okay so that goes down that's all right so now we're down to no which one was it two out of 10 yes so I [Music] think that should be it hey there we go excellent so new signature building now I can just get rid of all of these all right so that's not too big oh man so now I've got to try and redraw could I right it goes against the road that way so actually this shouldn't be too difficult let's just dig a little bit of space roughly the size of what we're going to be adding that's more or less and then if we just bring all of this back is that enough space what's that saying overlapping items not quite enough space okay we're going to do it we're going to do [Music] it oh oh oh oh oh oh yes and that's really helped us to hit the next Milestone as well fantastic we'll have a look at that in a sec so let's have a look at this building oh we didn't see what it gave us uh plus two industrial efficiency Citywide plus 10 or deposits keep forgetting a percentage you get it oh excellent but I think that in here looks brilliant let me just tidy this all up again yeah don't know what do you think with it up there I mean it gives uh an extra little building into this area that sort of fits with what's going on I like it we'll see we we'll see how it goes but we're experimenting we're all learning new things about how the game works and everything so money's going up because we've hit the next level which is good I wouldn't be too concerned about the fact that this shows as a minus figure there and the red arrow going down you will find as things goes along apart from the big chunk of money you get when you hit each Milestone that money will be going up there's a bit of a thing at the minute I'm possibly expecting there'll be some sort of patch when the game's released where we'll see some things been rebalanced but we'll see how we go look at that suddenly we have a huge surplus of rock which is fantastic and that's possibly unlocked cotton as well which does need fertile land we have a lot of fertile land up there we have a little bit of fertile land down here in the town but I'm not so sure I want to put Farmland in here my sort of vision with this island is we're going to have a lot of low density housing around and about here industry both sides of this little section of the river will rebuild that farming some communities dotted around and then this section maybe even across into these little Islands we start getting or across the river here start getting some more high density uh once we get that unlocked which actually we may be a little bit closer to that boom town no not yet bishy Town big town and great town are the yeah high density one so at the moment we're fine heavy traffic ban Advanced pollution management uh produces more garbage maybe we'll leave that as it is at the moment and we also have some development points now we were talking about unlocking the trains so let's grab that Parks Park maintenance highways Grand Bridge darn it I just spent one on the trains we need eight for the grand Bridge maybe that'll be some to look forward to in the future what else do we need water treatment plant yes let's take that one everything else seems to be going okay incinerator plant Burns garbage electricity from heat to try and get away from what we've been doing sorts garbage selling recycle materials additional income let's go for the recycling center and give that a try as well so maybe now with these extra options that we've got how big is that that is not too big is it we could possibly make use of this little industrial area that we put together over here let's grab this road that is reasonably flat there so if we bring this out like that that's good and then we can bring let's have a look I'm going to bring see how big the building is oh darn it it won't fit in there I thought it was going to fit in there why don't we place it first as close to this I want it this way around we turn that view off I want it not to attach then we go I want the road this way like that that was my idea there we go and then we're going to use this road here let's go out a little bit further and then we'll curve that one in maybe we've got room for some parking there down the side I don't know I think that's a a cool looking building to see when you're coming down the highway oh look at all these trucks coming over bringing and taking of the rocks that is what we want to see excellent so with this one hooked up let's have a look keep is a lot of money per month yeah that's fine seage treatment 315,000 M cubed per month this one did 100,00 so we've got absolutely no need for that at all and with a delete if we go underground we can get rid of that and there must have been some water pipes or something here but don't know maybe they've gone interesting to see what happens with this it started to overflow into this area maybe we'll just leave it actually do you know what I really probably need to just dig this out don't I otherwise what's going to happen is oh no I'll tell you what no no no no no no let's enclose it in can I just get rid of it wow if I unpause the game is that all going to come pouring out of the ground we have solved our pollution problem bury it underground there we go it's all gone nobody knows anything about it brilliant that is fantastic that is just what we want to do great and then the other thing was the recycling center which is a lot bigger but we could maybe have that like in this little area here I'm just thinking where the road's going to go let's have that there yeah that's good good and then we'll do this whoa as it suddenly just turned to Winter out of nowhere what the heck we've hit a new season we've got a snow we've got a snowstorm oh my goodness me that came on pretty quick we were running the game I think at three speed fall is going winter is coming let's just have a look around at the building see what they look like I don't think they're looking too bad are they with the snow on the roofs how the cars going man but your windscreen wipers on you could be causing all sorts of issues I think that looks quite nice I do like the look of that uh this is hooked up here which I think will do whoops it will do for now obviously we're going to need a little bit of terraforming and stuff but upgrade uh maintain a larger Fleet of trucks uh what have we got in here at the moment upkeep efficiency employees store garbage Vehicles 10 there we go I couldn't see it for looking hazardous waste so processing at high speed uh significant larger amounts of garbage to be stored for processing I don't think we're going to need any of that and actually yeah we've got the landfill here I suddenly I was going to say actually we haven't got one but we do so we're going to empty that out and I'm assuming we're just going to see trucks heading out of here with the garbage that looks like a snow plow to me what are you doing you're a loader oh you're not a snow player at all you're going to load this up oh yeah he is as well look at this so then is he going to come back drop it in here and load up a truck if so that is an absolutely fantastic detail let's just see no one's leaving yet and he comes oh he is as well and then is a truck going to leave or maybe that was bringing it in for processing ah dump truck from the recycling center right okay he's going to come out filled up well he took half the amount that was available oh that is fantastic I'm liking these little details that we're discovering with the game that is really cool and there we go you'll have to excuse the cursor on the screen because it doesn't go when you're in this mode and he's bringing it around here and there goes another one to pick up some stuff oh I'm assuming let's have a quick look slow the game down this one over here he's actually just collecting the garbage this guy that different looking truck was coming over here to remove the garbage from here nice so once that goes down then we can remove that and save ourselves some money and I'm thinking as well let's just have a quick look on here um if I turn this off I'm assuming it was still empty I hope so and that's just dropped the price from 30,00 a month to 3,000 a month we want to save ourselves some money and then we have a look at our garbage on here I'm still trying there it is still trying to get used to it garbage processing landfill why does that not count on there Services garbage management so if we drop that down really doesn't make any difference might just save us some money we'll see how that goes I'll keep an eye on that so let's just take a last look at our production chain so we've seen how to decrease our deficit and make more products and have some Surplus to sell as well the stone one is going really well adding in trains in the next episode is also really going to help get this Surplus out of the city and making us some more money we've seen then how we can sort of manipulate the production of the material Goods so adjusting the tax rate but also just having these Goods available um is really good so we haven't worked on the oil one yet we'll do that soon but we saw with the food now there we go we've got a nice Surplus so some of that extra industry I've put in has made the convenience food industry for us which is really good same for the food textiles we saw big need for all of these deficits have dropped down and the bonus for all of that for our residents is they will have more money left over because goods are cheaper we have got some complaints about high rent but we've got less complaints about high rent than if we hadn't done any of this that's how things tie together the next sort of leg on the list of things uh on the production chain is the immaterial goods and if you have a look at these little charts on the right you can see we've got services or we can import software uh the little pink building next to the word service over here which I can't point to could it goes when I try um is the same as the little pink building next to offices so offices will make these Services which will make the software for us which then get sent out to all the things on the right or exported the same for telecoms the same for financial and all these other things down here these are retail so the more offices we get that's going to help with the deficit here as well so certainly a lot to be balanced and I'm really liking how our city of kettlebridge I had to remind myself there I'm still
