couldn't contain your presence out of all creation lord you chose to make our hearts your home today or that your desires that your presence would be at home in our hearts [Music] that your presence would be at home amongst us together as a family as your family to be [Music] holy spirit we need your touch this morning [Music] we don't want just information about you we want to know you we want gathered together in homes ones or twos thank you lord that your presence is just ministering into hearts right now lift your hands just hunger for his presence i can feel his presence this morning i know he's going to touch people's lives this morning libra and rest into souls this morning let your peace come into people's souls into your emotions whether those that are anxious about the future thank you lord that you are the god of all hope not an imaginary hope but lord i thank you that you will rick your hope is real your presence is real even though it seems lord you can be a long way away lord we know that your presence is near us today his presence is very close his presence is very near [Music] father let your kingdom come this morning father your kingdom come and manifest in there you are come over here i've been praying for you had you in my heart this morning what's going to touch your life and i'm really really really proud of you i know you've made some great stands and this is what i want i felt the lord want to encourage you this morning your family is going to be blessed by the stands that you have made you may feel like you're alone you may be feeling uh but yeah i encourage you today that you're not alone and you've got a great father in heaven who's been watching over your life he's been watching over your life since you were born today he wants to tell you how proud he is of the stands that you've made for him he's going to bless your life not just bless your life personally but he's going to use you to be a channel of blessing to your family you're a strong young man but god's going to you've got a soft heart you've got a real soft heart a lot of people's lives are gonna be touched by you father today i thank you for robert i thank you for your son that you love so much lord i thank you father that your hand has been upon his life your hand has always been upon his life lord you understand the struggles that he's had to walk through lord you understand the battles that he's had to face and he's facing right now father pray right now your blessing over his life lord as a pastor as a representative of you father today i speak blessing i prophesy a blessing over your life today in jesus name i speak the protection of the heavenly father over your life that he would bless your life that he would keep your heart that he would open doors of blessing and favor for you you know the lord's already in your future he's already gone before you he's made ways he's already prepared the ground he's already prepared people's hearts to open up and give you opportunity there's been a desire in your heart to make it in life a lot of people have criticized you but you're in a house right now you're in a family where people here love you and believe in you i believe in your very very proud of you so today i bless you i bless the works of your hand and bless your heart today i bless the decisions even as you sit at home alone may you feel and experience the love and the presence of the lord of your life today in jesus name may god raise you up and prosper you as a businessman in jesus name may god use you to bless and and bring prosperity to more people than you can ever ever ever imagine i bless you in jesus name my man where's uh ephraim ephraim are you here this morning don't be shy just i'm not going to embarrass you just i've just had you on my heart in front there you are don't just stretch your hands out just really want to pray god's blessing of your life even as i was walking at the dark this morning i just had you on my heart and just as i was praying for you i just really felt the love of the father wants to come over your life and um holy spirit depresses come and touch him this morning lord shows me that you've um you'll face some grief in your life you face some loss in your face of grief and you've you've worked real hard in your heart to make a uh make a home to make a make a life for you for your family and but i just sense that today the holy spirit is going to start he wants to do a healing work in your life i see there's been a void in your life there's been a void of something that you've been longing for and i believe it was this i believe it's the voice of the father saying how proud he is of you how much he loves you and how much he believes in you i don't know what your relationship was what like with you with your own natural father but this is something i felt the lord's placed on my heart for you that how much he loves you as a father how proud he has he's seen the spans that you've made you've seen how how honorably you've held yourself even in the midst of challenges even in the midst of some difficulties and pain where there's been loss and i just said today that the lord's going to really bless you and touch your life god's going to use you and raise you up so today is the pastor of this house and as a spiritual as a father type figure i just i pray your hand the blessing of your life tonight i pray blessing of your family today in jesus name and pray break pray blessing and speak blessing of your marriage of your children today in jesus name may this be a time when the holy spirit really comes and encounters your heart well you don't just know about god but the reality of his love comes and fills your life i can see you're going to come into a season where the lord's going to start to melt your heart there's going to be season where you're going to feel the tears start to come where there's been grief where there's been the grief of loss where there's we have we've longed for something we've you've longed for the words i am proud of you i love you i believe in you we have long full of the loving touch of a father again i don't even know your own father background but this is what i felt the lord he's going to start to come and start to heal this part of your life and where there's been i can see you at times wondering what to do wonder that whether i should go this way even sometimes struggling with anxiety drugging to see the lord's going to start to come in this hour and start to bring a strength into your life there's going to be a standing up into your life i can see leadership forming over your life i start to see men started together around you i see you look into their eyes i see you speaking into their hearts speaking hope many men are going to be touched by your life many men are going to be touched by your testimony so today i bless you i speak the love of god over your life today in jesus name where there has been anxiety where there has been fear where there's been uncertainty about what to do i speak and dictate clarity of direction i speak and decree blessing and favor over your marriage and of your children today in jesus name may god raise you up even even as he even as there was a prophecy of a frame that god would bless him and he would prosper in the land of egypt i pray that even if your name is kind of the same that the lord would bless you and cause you to prosper through hardship through difficulties that you would always keep moving forward that you would know the promise of god over your life today i bless you in jesus name amen how was that there's something else i just wanted to pray for a few more people and one of the most treasured gifts i have in my phone is my own father prophesying and praying and blessing not just my life but also the lives of my family as well there's something about the blessing of a father one of the biggest voids i believe in society today is how many people i'm not just talking about men but i'm talking about women and men as well who who cannot remember their father affirming them telling them how proud they are of them speaking words of love over their life because when there's a void of that it makes room for a lot of anxiety and uh even though there's a woman here for the lord placed you in my heart too you lost your father um ever since you've lost your father you've been struggling with anxiety it's even affecting your marriage it's affecting your relationship with your husband the issue is to do with the loss of your father and i i just want to pray for people here this morning if you have lost your father in some way if you have lost him at a young age either through death or separation or he was emotionally disconnected i would just love for you to i'd love to pray for you this morning i just i had you in my heart i really want to pray god's blessing over you i want to affirm you today if that is you here this morning if you have lost your father through death through emotional disconnection through separation if you cannot even remember that last time you can hear the voice of your father saying i love you i am so proud of you i would love to pray for you this morning would you just come out here for a seat this morning this is the holy spirit moving on people's lives i love to pray for you if you cannot remember that time [Music] woman men if you can't remember your father saying i love you i'm proud of you [Music] just like to have our ministry team come forward to some of our men fathers [Music] it's the words of a father just incredibly powerful [Music] words of a father incredibly powerful even if you're watching online this morning even just since there are people that are watching online that the holy spirit's going to touch you as well you cannot remember the day you cannot recall your father saying i love you i'm proud of you speaking blessing over your life this is why you're in a family this is why god created a family because he knew that there'd be some fathers that are distant or gone in some way but he'd create other men he'd put many other men other father figures in that place to tell you how much [Music] there's a great presence of god here i've been feeling deeply impacted by the love of the father we're designed to be children of a father who loves us [Music] we're called to be representatives of a father who loves us and believes in us [Music] even jesus needed to have the affirmation of his father and even if you've never had this in your life we're invited into relationship with a heavenly father if you'll open your heart and your ears you will hear him very clearly speak to you my son i love you my daughter i love you you are favored in my eyes i have dreamed of you and planned for you before you even came into this earth i wrote on a scroll a destiny for you i am with you i will never leave you i will never abandon you so you struggle like an orphan no one to protect you no one to provide having to struggle and fight for yourself let go those ways it's caused you to become independent to become lonely to struggle with fear [Music] but i want you to know [Music] i will never leave you i will never abandon you [Music] i am only one prayer away from you today my presence comes upon you healing your heart when you're in pain come to me i will comfort you when you don't know the way draw near to me and i will show you the way that's what a father does when you're uncertain of how to handle problems draw near to me and i will counsel you when you're struggling with pain in your heart come near to me and i will help you you are highly favored [Music] you are special in my eyes and heart i love you my son i love you my daughter [Music] let my presence touch you today take away the anxiety and the stress and the loneliness reach out to me for by the spirit of god you have access to me [Music] yes [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] please they cry oh me [Music] oh [Music] [Music] glory [Music] is is [Music] [Music] [Music] oh you are [Music] me [Music] me [Music] oh oh [Music] i mean great presence of the lord here nobody just turned to somebody next to you and just and i just lay hands on them and just pray for them bless them [Music] thank you worship [Music] hey great to have you here this morning and i really do pray and that you're feeling and experiencing the touch of the holy spirit upon your life and uh and a god is a spirit holy spirit he's not a human so he's a spirit he's omnipresent so even in your home right now i know that there's friends that are watching right now there's different ones that i know that the lord has placed on my heart so i'm speaking to you in your home that the lord loves you and he's very proud of you different men and different women that you've experienced um just a void in that space and i just really felt the lord wants to encourage you that how how proud he is of of you and he believes in you and some of you that are these even grandparents that are watching and uh but you still need the love of the father as well and so i pray that god's product blessing will just come over your life today it is great to have you here just fantastic to be here susan great to have you susan sega great to have you here um fantastic i want to bless the lord with our finances this morning we honor the lord father we thank you for your goodness we thank you for your blessing father we thank you that even in good times and in tough times that you're still and always our source of provision father today we we acknowledge you as the source of our provision we know acknowledge you that you are the one that gives us power to give gain wealth lord i pray right now lord your hand of financial blessing of every every family every whanau represented here today in jesus name father today as we as we give we honor you today we honor you with our finances and i pray that today father your handled blessing would remain strong over our lives today in jesus name and everyone said amen i want to share with you just a few thoughts this morning something that the holy spirit has been staring in my heart over the last little while it's something that i've been personally praying for been praying for over myself you know one of the issues with having a headset mike is when you start to cry and your nose starts to run and you can't blow your nose you can't sniff because everyone hits it anyway but it's something i've been praying for personally i've been in a season of prayer and fasting for the last little while a number of weeks actually and uh and i want to share something that this morning i felt over this over the course of this time of prayer and fasting it's a prayer that i've been praying and something i've been i've been believing for and it's quite a remarkable little piece of scripture because in it it says so very little but yet says so much and uh and so we're going to open it up this morning and we're like you've got to admit we are in just exciting crazy times i mean there's all sorts of stuff going on in the world what a great time to be alive and you know i i acknowledge that there are many people um and places facing many many challenges i i heard yesterday that over the course of these lockdowns uh up to up to on just over 17 000 small businesses have had to close through through new zealand 17 000 so that's small businesses and most of new zealand's economy is made up of small businesses so there are many people today that are in uh facing some terrible situations but what we do know by faith is this and even through scripture is that even in droughts even in dark times when people can respond in faith when we can respond in faith god has unusual ways of being able to make things stretch you look at the widow's will how how when when she honored the man of god which she honored the presence of god that the oil just kept on flowing even in the midst of a drought and we're going to pray and believe that that same god is the same god that we worship here this this morning same god is his home is in your heart this morning we want to pray and believe that this will be a day where the oil just keeps on moving doesn't matter what's going on that miraculous provision miraculous provision of jobs finances here's and let's not confine god to what he can do because even just a word just an idea that he can place into your spirit if you act on it in faith can open up a whole new opportunity can open up a whole new well of blessing sometimes our expectation of of god's blessing is just it can be a little too confined but sometimes god's blessing can come by way of small seeds and if we act on them they can open up into into blessings that we could never ever imagine and so let's pray and believe that i mean you might be having your hands up in worship and thinking got an idea coming to your head don't shut it off they could be from the lord and it's in times of worship times when we come together in times like this that actually the holy spirit can can drop things he can drop thing he's not confined by our time schedule he just he is god and if he wants to drop something into your heart he's going to drop it into your heart i don't try and put don't try and pull it away and just let's have a heart that's open to the holy spirit let's open up the scripture here this morning something i've been again been praying for i'll repeat it again it's such a very very small short scripture but yet so powerful interesting that it's in there so that it's obviously it's something about this particular individual that is that has caused his name to stand out in history we don't know any else not much else about this particular individual apart from these two verses right so i don't know about you but uh it doesn't talk about his noble i mean he's got a noble heritage and things like that but there was something about this particular individual that caused him to stand out amongst the head and shoulders amongst the rest let's look in one chronicles uh chapter four and verse nine and ten that's it i love this now jabez was more honorable or was honorable above his brothers he was honorable above his brothers or he's a man of honor above everyone else but his mother named him jabez meaning abort him in pain or sorrow maker saying because i bore him in pain jabez cried out to to the god of israel saying oh that you would bless me and that you would enlarge my border or my large my territory and that your hand might be with me and that you would keep keep me from evil so it might not hurt me in the last line and god granted his request now what it doesn't say is how he did that when he did that but he just said and god granted his request now this piece of scripture it's i mean that's basically all that we hear of jabez but yet somehow he stood out amongst his seven other brothers or six other brothers and doesn't matter i don't know how many other sisters he had but amongst all his family so it's talking if you look at the context there's a there's a there's a chronological or a lineage there and then there's one particular part of the family one particular uh son in the family the bible describes him brings him out and says this one was more honorable than all the rest but yeah and one of the things you can do to open up scripture is is start to look at it and start to look at the word start to look at the emotions and interesting it says here that he was born in pain one of the first questions that i would have to ask is why name a son or why name a child why put a label on a person that rip that reflects the pain that either he bought you or that you were going through at that time doesn't say what kind of pain it doesn't matter it doesn't the scripture doesn't say the circumstances but we can get some some ideas but here we have a a particular individual the bible says he was born in pain his mother named him pain i mean we could get a little bit more graphic but we could say i'm not even going to go his mother named her jb is sorrow maker i mean what kind of a name is that to give to your kid what kind of a name i mean surely after seven kids it may not have hurt us so much so it can't be maybe the first one yes but after we got to number seven or eight some fighting talk going on but i love this and he goes on and says oh that you have blessed me when you can see i don't know about you but i'm believing for the blessing of god to come on over our lives i'm praying and believing today that even in this season of constriction and restriction that the people of god will be a pl will be entering into the blessing of god that we'll be expanding that will be enlarging that will be growing in territory and this is something that i'm believing for i want us to be a place of counter-cultural and it says oh that you would have blessed me oh that you would bless me oh that you have blessed me the word o means o h simply there is an expression of passion and desire it talks about and so as you start to look through the scripture you can see the emotion in there you can see a lot more in there that you can ever see from from a first glance he says oh that you would bless me i don't know about you but i don't i want the blessing of god i'm passionate about the blessing oh god here's a man he was desperate he was passionate for the blessing of god to be on his life some people it's kind of can be like a hum hoe but there was something about the language that he says oh that you would bless me who's he talking to god all right so one of the things that tells us is this that um one that he was born in pain the bible doesn't say exactly what kind of pain it was but like i said there are indications and we'll go into it shortly but in the midst of that he said that oh that you would bless me there was something about the blessing of a father there was something about the blessing of god and uh today i want to i i really want to see it and manifest in a greater dimension over our life so while he says that he recognized that god was the source of all blessing and he placed value upon that blessing that come from the lord he recognized and acknowledged that god was the source of blessing now there's a blessing that can come on in our our life or these blessings that come on our life because god is a good father anyway he blesses us there is a blessing that comes on our life because it would have been on his life because of of the blessing of abraham he was a he was part of that he was part of the tribe of israel and there was a blessings that were available to him through covenant relationship so he must have been talking about a different blessing if there were blessings of abraham if he was blessings through covenant why would why wasn't that enough all right because there's there are some blessings that can be on our life just because god is good there are some blessings that can be upon your life because somebody else is good nothing that you've done there are some blessings that come upon your life just because you're in covenant relationship i pray over your life i pray on a regular basis that god's blessing would be over your life and through a relationship with me that's one way that you i just pray just that god will bless your life but there is also i believe a blessing or blessings that can be obtained over your life yeah so there's blessings that can come through just god is a good god there's a blessing that can become because of of just covenant relationship but there are blessings over your life there are blessings that can be obtained over your life in other words they don't come by just connection they don't just come because god but there is something there is a blessing that can come over your life because you've you've hungered for it you've chased it there's some things that you have done and there's some things there's something about your spirit that has invoked another kind of blessing over your life that is a blessing i want over my life i want a blessing that exceeds just daily provision i want a blessing i want something on my life i want the blessing i want a blessing that has been thoughtful over my life i want to i want to obtain certain other kinds of blessings i mean i'm really grateful for what i have but there is something inside of me that knows that there is god has got more for me and i know that god has got more for you and god has got more for us even those who are watching online let me speak over your life you think you've got enough right now you think you're blessed right now my god is the god of more than enough he is a god of overflow he is a god of excess but there are some blessings that are yours by right but there are other blessings that you can obtain and those blessings are something really special and they stand out above every other blessing you know what i'm talking about this morning there's something that and so jbs knew that there was something about a a blessing that he i'm sure that he was he must have known because ancient um some of the hebrew writings say that he was a scribe so he must have known about the blessing of the covenant of abraham right he must have known about that but he knew that there was something more that god had for his life i know that there is something more that god has for your life for my life and for us as a people for us as a church but they've got to be obtained they're not just going to come automatically you pray for god to bless your business there are some blessings that will come over your business but there are some blessings that you can obtain for your business obtain for your family that they wouldn't ordinarily just come many people want that kind of blessing you sure yeah i mean i can have it all if you need to oh that you would bless me he recognized that god was a source of blessing so he plays fairly it's always important that all blessings come from god and we want to make sure that all of us acknowledge the lord and we acknowledge that he is the source of provision he is the source of blessing there's a blessing that it can be obtained i believe there's also a blessing that can be lost or walked away from asking for blessing is not a bad thing some people challenge the whether the scripture is even biblical it's in the bible of course it's biblical all right there are blessings that can you can actually walk away from i know people they have walked away from the blessing in fact they are now walking walking twice as hard doesn't mean that god doesn't love them and god's not blessing them in other ways but i know people today they are working twice as hard than they need to be because they've walked away from another blessing that was available for them it doesn't mean that god doesn't like them anymore doesn't mean that heaven doesn't have a relationship with the lord doesn't mean any of that what i'm talking about is this these there are blessings that can come on your life because you can obtain them and if you obtain them you can also let them go the bible says he said that you would bless me and that you would enlarge my territory i love this and the place of difficulty i mean it's important we understand every word that's being used here and is in the context of his birth was that of pain all right so when's when a child was named that was also it wasn't just the name for the time it wasn't just a trendy name for the time i mean for many people today i feel like what am i going to name my child they look up what's the trendy child names right zach ford but when a child is named here it's not just about a name but it's a a declaration of their future their name sets them up for their future their name is a label their name is a tag their name is something that identifies you not just in the present but also for your future as well and so for somebody to be called pain or person who brings sorrow that there was then reflected on their whole life that their label that was placed upon their life is that you are the one that causes sorrow oh you're the sorry one you're the one that brings pain well good on you good no mates i don't want you around my life thank you very much yeah that's what your name means the bringer of sorrow the bringer of pain you can stand of guy this is what he's experiencing in life what's your name bringer of pain ah party's full what's your name jabez bringer of pain probably not the right cell group for you to come to bring her of pain i don't think i want to employ you bringer of pain or you can sit at the back of class bringer of pain so you can understand the type of life he's he must have been brought up with everywhere he goes what's your name jabez bringer of pain okay i'll call you tomorrow you imagine living life i know many people that have lived lives of pain maybe you've got a label on your life but here's a man that in the midst of all that still had a devotion and a passion for the lord still had the desire still had something inside of his life that says it doesn't matter what label has been placed on my life it doesn't matter what my mom has called me doesn't matter what my people have called about my future i know that there's a blessing that i can obtain from god and when their blessing comes upon my life my world will change even though my name maybe still be jabez people are going to want me in their life because i carry blessing and my life is not just going to be contained to this little realm of living that i live in he said that oh that you would enlarge my territory in the midst of difficulty his heart and his spirit there's a desire for growth and enlargement the word territory here doesn't necessarily mean physical land new territory is not just about forsaking the territory that you have and walking away that's a swap it's about getting new territory it's about enlargement it's about enlargement about getting you into your life some people they think they've enlarged their territory but they've just swapped from one to another it's about something new something unfamiliar and here's the thing for many people we expect the new grounds to be comfortable well nourished and perfectly manicured just ready for you just to waltz on in there i want to assure you today that is not often in fact nine times out of ten the enlargement of territory does not come with manicured grass it looks a little bit stoney see the land i've given you uh it's stony all right enlarge my territory often you'll find that the enlargement comes cleverly disguised really cleverly disguised but he's saying oh that you would enlarge me the question is this i know people here you're hungry to be enlarged your hunger to grow but the thing is enlargement comes with doing some hard nai all right there's blessings that you can i i know that god will bless you but there's also some ethics and behind that as well because when you're spoiled too much guess what it's going to corrupt your heart so god wants to pour out great blessing absolutely upon your life but that does not come without a bit of hard money all right you've got to put some effort into it and sometimes you've got to crack open some stony soil to get it to happen but if you're persistent enough i can encourage you today there is a blessing that will come upon you there is a blessing that will come upon diligence i'm not going to just write out and always just write out a check interesting that but it's not just about physical territory jabez i believe is this he was more concerned about making an impact for the kingdom of god i believe this i believe the territory that jb's really wanted enlarged was this i'm going to give you some keys to large territory i personally have a great circle of influence i have a great circle of influence i have influence to some incredible people but i didn't just come on my plate there was particular ways in particular things that i did that invoked that enlargement and blessing over my life and i want to share some keys with you this morning because i believe this one uh i believe this that jbs was also was praying that god would enlarge the territory of his heart the territory of his heart for a lot of people who want either a bigger house or a bigger this or bigger that or a bigger this or more followers on tiktok they want to be the next influence cessation or something like that but actually they can have all of that but yeah their heart remains very very small so the first place i believe one of the first places and primary places that territory needs to be enlarged is in the space of our own heart for many people their heart is very very small very very small there's only room for a couple of people there's only a room for the individual there's only a room for me there's only room for people of my culture there's only room for people of my age there's only people of there's only room for people that are the same as me and if that's only two or three well then it's those two or three they're my birthday party people you know enlargement of heart is one of the biggest things that you can have that you can welcome people not just as a token gesture but they become part of who you are your heart is enlarged you welcome people into your life that can persecute you you know how to bless people that can curse that curse you that curse you there's a bigness and a largeness of heart when you invite people and not just as a token gesture but when they feel like they're a part of your heart people of different cultures people of different ethnicities people of different social standards either high or low it doesn't really matter it's it's irrelevant the question is whether your heart is open the question is a capacity of heart do you have asthma in your heart because then i can show you this when your heart is open when your heart the bible says guard your heart because out of it flows every issue of life if you want to enlarge your territory i can assure you this if you open up your heart and you enlarge your heart your territory and your circle of influence will increase i am blessed abundantly because i have opened my heart because i live a life bigger than my own circle of two friends i've got more than two friends largeness of heart so in the midst of persecution in the midst of having a name like pain in the butt in the midst of having a name and a destiny to creed over your life saying basically loser over your life this person in the midst of that had the capacity to say i'm going to be enlarged of heart and you can see that i'm going to open it up a little bit more for you it knows the territory of heart that'll overflow those around he wanted to reach people not about being famous or a tic-toc sensation let me encourage you a lot of people want to be famous but their heart is so small i see the stuff that goes up on facebook and i know because i know you that what you present on facebook being there look at me when it comes to serving where are you [Applause] [Music] you can't fool me all that bites a little bit i ain't trolling you don't worry i'm not trolling you on your social media yes i am i watch what you put out there and how you project yourself and then how you have much to turn up and actually open up your home something more loving maybe your heart when your heart grows your territory is going to grow when you open up your home when you open up your home not just on a once every two years but when you open up your home on a regular basis soul group leaders thank you for opening up your home thank you for opening up your home on a regular basis you may or not even know what to do kate and i didn't even know what to do when we started first opening up i wouldn't even say i don't know we just opened up at home that was good enough all right that's good enough you open up your home don't even know you don't need to know what to say just open up your home give them a cup of tea and a biscuit and say hey great to have you here welcome that's good enough just doing that will open up and increase your territory many people are st happy with status quo but faith our faith requires us or compels us to live a life bigger than our immediate surroundings especially we're in an environment right now where people are wanting to stay small to construct to stay in your small groups to think small to be small to think small don't get any bigger than that if you go bigger than that and the world's going to fall down i want you in the midst of that to be dreaming bigger thinking bigger i am at the moment i'm already working on spaces with a bunch of team in the in the midst of lockdown and you're going to only get a few people here but i am planning in the midst of all this for enlargement i've got engineers working on opening the doors opening up walls and things like that i am planning for enlargement i'm believing i need bigger freezers i need bigger cooking capacity so in the midst when the media is saying be small think small do small i'm going to say no no no no i am believing for the blessing of god i'm believing for our territory to be enlarged i'm believing for our influence to be enlarged so i'm going to start to do the ground work right now so i am prepared when that enlargement comes get a bigger house a bigger boat why yeah it means seeing beyond my two or four four friends and being part of a bigger vision some people you're happy just to stay at home in your little homes that's wonderful but be a part of the bigger picture as well be a part of the bigger picture one of my greatest challenges as a leader is to help and to challenge people to live a life bigger than what they're currently living that would be one of my main challenges trying to get coke's people out of their little holes come on get out invite open up your home you've got a beautiful home open it up think bit bigger than what you're thinking now if you're used to thinking in twos and threes think of tens if you think of used to thinking in tens start to think of hundreds if you've got five people in your group start to think of 15. how can we reach 15 but then how can we also connect to 300 or 400 and then how can we make that 400 a thousand keep thinking bigger think keep thinking our nation keep thinking out beyond our nation i'll just keep here's another one and enlarge the mind how else can you enlarge capacity how else can you enlarge your territory enlarge your mind leaders are learners leaders are learners not just information but when we grow in wisdom and understanding let me encourage you let me challenge you when you have information that is one thing but when you have wisdom and understanding that is a completely different thing when you understand how the heart works when you understand how to make sense of people's lives let me encourage you this alone will help you open up your territory and natural territory people will come for miles because of your understanding on certain issues so gain understanding some people have a lot in their head but lack wisdom and understanding they'll and have a very small heart the result of that is you can have a very very small life i love this margaret mead she's a cultural anthropologist said this never doubt a small group of thoughtful committed citizens can change the world and indeed it is only the thing that ever has gandhi said this a small body of determined spirits fired by an unquenchable faith and their mission can alter the course of history that can be our faith i love that god's promise to abraham i will bless you and make you a great nation they weren't by any means the largest nation and they're still not but they are the largest nation i believe in strength of spirit so strength of spirit strength of spirit can enlarge you can enlarge your territory you maybe have smaller numbers we may be smaller in numbers but when we have strength of spirit when we have a determination to work together when we have our commitment to walk in unity when we have a commitment to to be strong when we have a commitment to uh to be bigger and harder to be big in our thinking to be big in our spirit i can assure you this our influence numbers will come in one form or another influence will grow in one form or another he also says let your hand be with me jabez recognized that he had limited nature as an individual because of that he knew he needed god's help on his life he recognized his dependence upon the lord and wanted partnership with the lord i pray this is something that i've been praying over my over my life is this lord that you would have blessed me and that you would enlarge my territory that you would enlarge my influence but lord but let your hand be with me let your hand be with me let your presence be with me because lord i know that i can't do this alone that is not my my own strength it is not by my own cleverness even the bible even even says this in deuteronomy 8 verse 12 he says do not say to yourself my power and the might of my own hand have gotten me this wealth but remember the lord your god because it is he who gives you the power to get wealth that may he may he confirm his covenant that he swore to your ancestors so the question is it's important that we acknowledge that the presence of god is important that we acknowledge and have the spirit of the god the spirit of the lord walking with us let your hand be with me i love this last sign he said keep me from harm so that i would be free from pain jb's was named for pain as you can see as the story unfolded the pain that surrounded his birth was not the pain that's that defined him there are people here today you may have gone through hardship there are people here today your birth circumstances may not have been the best your current circumstances may not even be the best you may have had a stamp upon your life that when that name of bringer of pain many people have been labeled on some form or another that upon their life friends that does not need to be your defining future our god is much bigger than this thing like jacob he said i uh jb's i'm not going to be there he did not let that label he did not let his circumstances define who he was going to be he didn't necessarily pray that he would live a life with no suffering but he could forsake because he could foresee the deep impact that the sin could have on people's life friend one of the big reasons why people are in grief today is the impact of sin that's why he said lord keep me from evil keep me because i don't want to cause pain i don't want to be a bringer of pain i don't want my hand i don't want my life to bring grief into the world keep me from pain keep me from that lord one of the greatest prayers that would we could ever pray and i know this prayer has been around for a while but this is not a rote magic prayer that is just repeated it was a deep cry of faith from the heart of a man one of the things i want to bring out to you that i believe that really compelled the heart of god the bible says that he granted what he prayed for and here's the thing i believe the answer was right at the beginning the answer was right at the beginning the bible says that jabez was honorable above all his brothers here is i believe one of the greatest keys that you and i can walk in that you got the greatest keys for us to walk in blessing that is honor honor or unlock blessing and favor over your life that you could never ever imagine you may not be the most gifted person you may not you may or may not be you may be very very smart but the principle of honor has the power to unlock unusual blessing over your life bible talks all the way through it when you honor your mother and father life will go well there's an honor that comes upon when you honor your parents there is a blessing that is invoked from heaven over your life when you honor your boss there's a blessing that comes there's a a blessing that comes on honor and interesting for this particular individual for for jabez you can see the conflict that he must have you can see from the course of the scripture what kind of man he was that in the midst of his pain as a man growing up everywhere he went he had the label of loser on his head yeah the bible describes him as being honorable above all his brothers in other words there there was a line of integrity there was a spirit of integrity that was shaped that was into his character in other words no matter what he was faced with the persecution the rejection the hardship the pain the mother issues the daddy issues i mean you imagine your mother you'd be that boy your mother called you pain in the butt you're going to have mom you're going to have mummy issues you're going to have brother issues he's going to have relational issues everywhere but yet in the midst of that he made a decision somewhere he must have made a decision to live a life of honour and integrity he would not let bitterness he would not let rejection define him in the midst of what he was facing in the midst of his challenges he made the decision to live a life of honor and integrity there is your key for blessing it's a man who rose above the label that had been assigned for him the way that he lived his life the way that he conducted his life in spite of the hardship i believe was the most important key for god unlocking and god granted his request so many people today this is why i said right at the beginning there's a blessing that could come upon you through the blessing of abraham there's a blessing that god comes upon you because god is good but there is blessings that can be obtained through honour there are people that miss out on blessings because of dishonor there are people they could be abased abundantly but they've missed out on that because they refused honor maybe it was the injustice or the perceived injustice so jb's could have had a chip on his shoulder but oh you didn't name me right or you didn't do this you didn't do that you rejected me and he would have been rightfully so to a degree but it was honor i believe this that in spite of what his mum called him he must have still brought honor to his mum he must have made a decision mom even though you hurt me even though you've put this label on me i'm gonna honor you must have done the same to his dad otherwise it would not be in there he was a man of honor dad wouldn't you stand up for mum and call me a different name could have daddy issues the bible just says he was a man of honor in spite of all that many people here today who may be facing issues and challenges you may have been hard done by but what really can determine and shape your future is this that you could conduct yourself with honor [Music] i know people who declare and project a high level of spirituality but actually the way that they relate is dishonorable how they relate to one another how will they relate to us how they relate to you don't be fooled by what people put out there on facebook don't be fooled by what people project and how strong they project their spirituality when you live a life of honor when you live a life of integrity i can tell you right now you don't need to project anything out in facebook you don't need to project anything people will come to the blessing of god upon your life you won't need to try and prove your spirituality anywhere people will talk about it a good name is worth more i've had people today [Music] people in one sense project a great deal of spirituality pride themselves on how much theology they know and when they leave the house when they leave relationship they don't even say goodbye just gone it's the honor [Music] i believe i want this blessing of god upon my life i want god to enlarge my territory i want god to enlarge your territory i want god to bring a blessing i want it to be a blessing over your life for the world to see i want god to enlarge your territory that's what i've been praying for that's what i've been fasting for it's how much i want it that's how much i want it for me that's how much i want it for you it's how much i want it for us [Music] but i love most of all that one that you would be people of a big heart because bigness of heart will open the door for you two that you'd be strong in spirit that you'd be big in your spirit that you would rise above when everyone's talking small you'll be talking big when everyone's talking about what they can't do you'll be talking about what you can do when everyone's saying oh look at how hard it is you're going to be saying look at the possibilities when the trumpet says let's come together you won't be saying oh it's going to do our own little thing over here and maybe when maybe when it's all over come together no bigness to say when you hear the trumpet okay let's come together when the call together comes we come together when it's time to lift our voice we come together as one voice when you're faced with challenges when you're faced with doing the right thing you do the right thing when it comes to honor you make sure that we're going to be people of honor that if we're going to leave we live well and with honor and dignity and if we're going to talk we speak well if we're going to speak or we're going to handle our finances we're going to handle it with integrity and our marriages we're going to treat our spouse with integrity and honor we're going gonna honor our children when they have kids they know how to honor regardless of what they're faced with anyone can honor when things are going well but when things are going tough well that's a different story it's easy to honor somebody when they're nice to you or got things to give you that's flattery but honor is something different honor is a principle that can invoke the blessing of god of your life i pray that today that in these days and these hours ahead you and i would be people of bigness of heart strength of spirit willing to learn willing to learn new ideas willing to learn maybe you've got to get out in education or develop stretch your mind somewhere learn something new learn a new language just learning a new language will open up doors of opportunity for you learning a new skill will open up things for you i learned new skills opened up new impossibilities for me stronger spirit open up new possibilities for me walking integrity and honesty and honor will open up blessings that won't necessarily come upon anyone else they'll come upon me because of the honor they'll come upon you because you want it it's not flattery it's honor i pray that in these days that's the kind of people you and i will be because right now in this in this world and this society that nation doesn't need a whole bunch of internet trolls our nation doesn't need a bunch of angry christians what our community needs what your family needs is people with bigness of heart business of mine strength of spirit strength of character [Music] let's be that kind of people today maybe there's some things right now you need to put right maybe in your finances maybe in the way that you speak to one another maybe in the way that you conduct relationships maybe a thinking too small maybe just you know acting too small stop it just change it get along somebody else alongside somebody that can help you why don't we just stand to our feet going long enough it's done father i thank you for your blessing father i thank you today you're a good father father i pray today in the name of jesus father even as jb has prayed oh that you would enlarge me that you had blessed me that you enlarged my territory that you enlarged my capacity that you would keep me from harm that you would keep me from evil lord that you would keep my hand from commanding evil lord that i would walk in integrity and upright lord i don't want to bring grief into the world because of my actions or because of the way that i've conducted myself lord i want to be a man or a woman of honor i want to be a man of a woman of integrity father enlarge my heart today enlarge my capacity enlarge my thinking show me the lord show me the world show me possibilities today i pray where i've been speaking negatively we've been thinking small enlarge me today in jesus name father i speak your hand of blessing over this house of your family today over those that are watching online may god bless you and enlarge your territory today in jesus name may god enlarge your business today in jesus name may god enlarge your capacity may god enlarge your spirit today in jesus name may god lift you up may god elevate you today may god give you the strength
