can you believe this guy man i mean he's killed his wife who's pregnant was she 14 weeks pregnant and then his two little kids and then he's talking to the cops hours later like nothing happened yeah but i think the cops are on for him and he's looking for exits he's looking to do a runner he's looking to get away and the cops know it i yeah i saw him looking like chase's kid when he spilled chocolate milk on the carpet all right you guys ready hang on let me read people around yeah we're in the right place all right here we go i'm scott rouse my body language expert and analyst and i trained law enforcement in the military in interrogation and body language i created the number one online body language course body language tactics with greg hartley mark i'm mark boden i'm an expert in human behavior and body language i help people all over the world to stand out when trust gain credibility every time they communicate including some of the leaders of the g7 chase i'm chase hughes i did 20 years in the u.s military today i train civilians and intelligence agencies in interrogation behavior profiling influence and enhanced persuasion i'm also the number one best-selling author of the ellipsis manual on behavior profiling influence and persuasion greg i'm greg hartley i'm a former army interrogator interrogation instructor resistance to interrogation instructor i've written 10 books on body language and behavior put together this number one body language tactics.com course with scott and i spend most of my time on wall street and corporate america okay we're going to talk about chris watts the panelists have spoken again and we got inundated with emails about chris watts the body language or the uh body cam footage when the police show up and start talking to him and then take the detectives so that's what we're going to be talking about as we go through this all right you guys ready ready here we go it didn't look like she went through and packed up no i mean bag or anything and all that in the bottom so it'd be kind of hard to tell if you took a little bit or maybe easier tough took a lot but it's hard to tell just a little bit or not okay she tell you anything about leaving moving out not moving out i mean the last time i talked to her was this morning she said she's going to take the kids to a friend's house and she that's where she was going to be and then i've texted her today i've never heard anything but the cars and the cars here unless somebody came picked her up but the people that i know nobody's heard from nobody's seen right all right greg what do you got yeah so this guy right off from the beginning starts off by evading eye contact throughout the video you see him he's running away almost he's running from the problem and then when they ask him the question is she leaving or moving out he says not moving out well he's projecting something when he says that if i were questioning him i'd say okay what does that mean exactly not moving out why did you say no why don't you say no well we know later that he'll come in as you look further into this video you're going to see him talking about an argument a fight a breakup and that kind of thing then he goes i call that pregnant information no horrible choice of words in this situation but that's pregnant a pregnant statement not moving out with an exclamation point almost then he says she said blah blah blah and then and then is classic for hiding time after she said that he killed her we know he killed her and it's that and then that hides time um i think joe navarro and jack shafer call it verbal bridging i always say it's hiding time but those are great indicators that something's going on then he says but then he does a request for approval as he raises his brow makes riveting eye contact something scott and i in our true crime workshop call the romancer and then he starts to sway slightly so he's a middle school romancer at a dance you know he's doing this little sway what's interesting about that is if you were to go and talk to his neighbors there's a real special on right now and the neighbor that we'll see in a minute on a video two down will say that he never swayed in normal conversation so it's not his baseline is when he's under stress so we'll take that you also then we'll go and look at a thing he did that chase you you shared earlier today around keep staying in a relationship and you can see when he's nervous in that video he's swinging as well mark what do you got yeah absolutely so you're right we see him swaying in that when he's under stress and we see that when he's doing presenting so good call out on that um we hear him say hard to tell if she took a little bit or not and then we see a lot of mouth action there i think the mouth is already drying out there and that's why we get all that mouth action around there he's already under stress around uh around that his illustrators are not in sync with with what he's saying he'll he'll do the action and then the the the words will catch up or do some words and then the action will catch up so they're out of sync at the moment which makes me feel like he's he's making something up here he ends with uh open palm gestures in the in the truth plane here good honest gestures something makes me think actually having seen that presentation of him that that video of him presenting that around about uh you know in in in 2010 i guess it was you may well have read one of my books uh not paid as much attention to it as he should have if that will see him uh using asymmetrical gestures in the truth plane later on uh as well but he he goes for that and then he holds it there and you've got to keep moving you're like you got to keep moving he's like going did you see i'm being honest and and i'm waiting for the cop to go i see you being really honest there mate well well done uh so i wouldn't be surprised if he read winning body language when he was preparing to do his his presentations and and he's trying to play a little bit of that a little bit of knowledge uh can be a really bad thing uh chase what have you got chase what do you got one thing we're definitely seeing here is forced ambiguity so he is deliberately forcing ambiguity and uncertainty into the situation and a lot of this we see this signature eyebrow flash for approval every time he wants to appear innocent every time he wants somebody to to approve of what he's saying we see this signature eyebrow flash i talk a whole lot about how to leverage this for persuasion in a lot of my courses and on youtube videos and i think this gesture when he's pointing to himself like concealing his hands while he's talking about some of this stuff right near his stomach is very telling i've seen lots of guilty people do this i've seen very few innocent people do this this palm towards the body when they're illustrating or what desmond morris would call a baton gesture that's moving along with the cadence of somebody's speech and i think he's putting this whole story together as he goes so this piece is coming out he realizes the car is still there something i need to talk about he mentions the car three times he says car three times there while he's talking about it and at the end of this he says the people i know and i'm a words person especially when it comes to behavioral profiling in talking to where my wife might be it would be the people she knows or the people we know and i think that's a very important use of pronoun and in a couple videos later i'm going to show you something you can use at home or the police should have used in this situation to identify something that you know immediately that this is a red flag scott all right i agree with you chase and that and that's going to be good because what we're seeing here is we're seeing the same question asked several times during this video or during this breakdown we're going to see the cops act as a team and man do they ever they've gelled so well i'm sure they've worked together a long time these guys are great and i'll explain that as we go along as we get further down i'll tell you i'll explain to you what they're doing like mark was talking about we see these lags in his illustrators the illustrators again are the things that people use when they are when their brain is emphasizing specific words and phrases like edges then specific words and phrases so when you have a lag in your illustrators if you say something and then it comes down or doesn't come down on time as you're talking about them then something's going on in there you're thinking and he's thinking because he's the stress level comparatively to compared to how it's going to be a little bit later on is really low it's really low he's just talking it seems like he's just talking this guy but when he starts and we'll notice that he uses his his hands and i believe it's the passion plains mark up in here when he's talking about um going back to yeah i read all your books so when it comes back to uh his illustrators he's up in the passion playing when he's talking about things that he knows are true and things that he's done or he's familiar with he's comfortable talking about so it doesn't mean he's telling the truth when they're up here all it means at this point he's confident with saying those things because he's used the same he's thought those out a little bit further than the other things where he comes down here and when he gets down here almost in the grotesque plane mark then when he comes down here and they freeze after he acts answers the question they just sit down there and he just bang he's burning that cop he just keeps looking at him because he's watching him to see if he needs to add any um qualifiers to that which later on as we go along and his stress level gets higher and higher he starts adding qualifiers where he doesn't even need to qualifiers are the things that make your answer sound more believable it gives it more punch more more oomph and things that just dress it up and make it sound like a true statement or something that's believable so that's pretty much what i got we good yeah i love the repeat questions guys from an interrogation point of view these repeat questions are beautiful these these cops work well together i'm going to tell you guys something we can keep it here we are not but this is the same place where pinky is in trouble this is the same d.a this is the same police department so this will be an interesting one to watch play out it didn't look like she went through and packed up no i mean bag or anything and all that in the bottom so it'd be kind of hard to tell that she took a little bit or maybe easier tough took a lot but it's hard to tell just a little bit or not okay she tell you anything about leaving moving out not moving out i mean the last time i talked to her was this morning she said she's going to take the kids to a friend's house and she that's where she was going to be and then i've texted her today and never heard anything but the cars cars here unless somebody can't pick her up but the people that i know don't mind her from nobody's seen right out there all the holes i had to bring in all right mark what do you got yeah so two or three things here which i think are extraordinary first of all i want you to check out when he goes to look for the exit so that's usually a good a good kind of indicator that that somebody's ready to do a runner they're ready to escape they're looking for windows doors any way that they might be able to get out quick this is happening unconsciously by the way i would say he's not actually thinking in his head oh yeah wherever the unconscious mind has taken over it's fight or flight he's right in it how do we know it's fight or flight we've got there something that i would call extreme venting venting is when you see somebody like trying to get air to their body he's doing extreme venting which means he's trying to lose heat from under here because fight and flight is is kicking up the adrenaline and now he's gone into a into a metabolism where he's doing something called fat cleaving by the way but when you start keeping cleaving fats using adrenaline uh there's a lot of heat produced from that so extreme venting uh one last thing about this as well as we're talking about gesture planes we've talked about the truth plane here and the passion plane here right up here is called the ecstatic plane and when you start to suppress in the ecstatic plane it means you're really trying to hold yourself down you're trying to stop yourself exploding ecstatic from the greek ecstasis which means to be outside of yourself it's literally you're trying to stop an out of body experience fight or flight has got you into such an out of body experience you're trying to just hold it together so venting and holding it together at the same time and unconsciously looking for the exits i've never seen anything like this it's pretty extraordinary uh greg what have you got yeah so i have seen this i've seen people a little bit different situation but when you get to that fat cleaving it also leaves protein build up in the corners of your mouth you start to see it i've seen it in sear mostly because that's where the highest arrest you'll ever see is it's a stress laboratory i call this the hostage plane in this case he realizes oh i'm in trouble i'm i'm jumping on your plane but this hostage plane oh oh oh oh oh and even then he's adapting at every turn i would call this the and you can the oh moment for him when he does something my dad would have said you ain't too swoofed are you boy he even calls out the fact he violated his own baseline by saying i usually park on the street well if i suddenly had parked up there and my wife disappeared that day i might say yeah i pulled in there to drop this off i wouldn't say i usually park on the street because now we got a baseline issue there's a problem then he starts the adopt that adapter sucking on the hair at his lower lip he does that cell phone which this guy's is the most this is the ultimate adapter this is not just touching something it's dopamine release and it this is represents all the humans you know this is partnering with everybody you know this is the precious so this guy's doing that and getting himself as much away from this problem as he possibly can even the point takes one hand off and jacks around with his phone after all that you don't get much worse than this in terms of uh oh i made a mistake and that for me is where it's at scott what do you got all right i think his limbic system at this point is is is lighting up and i think it's not on fire yet but it's going to be in our next one you see he's all lit up because what he's doing with his hands on his head he's trying to get more to me or it looks like he's trying to get more oxygen plus it's a stre it's it's definitely um an adapter at that point when his hands are up there he's walking around he's not quite marching yet but he's getting there so the more he heats up literally the more he's trying to get rid of that heat and the more he's trying to breathe better by having his hands on his head that helps him a lot uh his mouth is open for the same reason and we'll see that as we go when when stress starts to hit him really hard and that mouth gets open and we'll see toward the end when he's talking to the the cops near the dining room that's when his mouth is all the way up and he just looks like there's something wrong with him because he's breathing heavily through it through his mouth now if we'll notice when we go through this the police questions as they question them they'll ask a question and then zip it that's it and this this is we talk about in the true crime workshop is what they're trying to do is he's not sure if he's if he's under threat if he should feel threatened or not if there is a threat he knows it's a threat because he did this and they might catch him but he doesn't understand yet whether or not they've caught on to what he's doing or they believe he's done it yet he's just now it's just now hitting him maybe they don't believe me so that's the kind of that's another reason for his olympic system to be to be on getting close to on fire because it's really firing up at that point his movements are stressed i mean and they're real they're really really tight and they're really um they're not smooth at all when he starts moving moves around and pointing stuff his arm is just straight and he's doing all these weird movements and we'll talk about how he locks in on the tv and that will section the tv in the next one but chase what do you got i absolutely agree with you scott that limbic system is firing off which increases adrenaline so we have adrenaline going up which also right there with adrenaline is correlated a desire or need for oxygen so the body says okay adrenaline's going up i need more oxygen you see his mouth hanging open to get more oxygen somebody who is feeling a little bit of this you'll see nostril flaring behavior and the nostrils flare the behavior nerds like us this term is called wing dilation if you ever want to look that up but this is to oxygenate the blood going into the brain during times of stress and we see this sometimes during deception but this is extreme this is the limbic system and with greg what you said about him you saying usually that's like the classic illustration of an ambiguity or like i say greg what did you do uh after you left work wednesday night and greg says oh i usually drive well a lot of interrogators would take that at face value and just let that sit but i think they're these cops in this video are doing exactly what they should be doing and i think they're seeing a lot of it one thing you're seeing here is him shrinking so the our bodies are targets for predators and the more limbic system activates with fear it says you need to get your body smaller the exception to this is the elbows out with the hands on the head which shows submission or deference according to all the research and the way to tell whether this is someone who's confident and relaxed because we also see somebody with their hands up there is posture and chest posture straight nope is the chest poking out no so that's when we say this is submission and deference most likely and we see a lot of this what i call exit checking or you know searching for an exit and he's almost into hyperventilation at this and what we see is greg's classic description of the chained elephant here he doesn't know what to do his body has all this adrenaline and his body's saying this needs to come out i need to expend some of this i need to burn it off chase one thing i always notice is when people are doing you know the hostage plane thing or whatever you want to call it when you're doing confidence your hands are here not there typically you do see it but most of the time it's not there so yeah i agree with you so these guys are brilliant oh yeah great job great job gets really excited here in a minute clearly park out there on the side i just want to get everything back in be easier to run everything out there all the tools that i had to bring in so we good go let's move um my detective just showed up um so he'll probably want to talk to you you'd probably i said he might have your call at the bank and see if there's any kind of activity um because if there is any sort of action out of his camera i would have got it like we had we had issues the other other week when people were stealing stuff out of like garages and stuff like that and i have parked my truck right here but if any action would happen any cars or anything left at your house i would have been like right in that area all right chase what do you got he's in he's now escalated to full panic everything we see we see hyperventilation actual hyperventilation his breathing rate is around a 40 at this point and this is absolute verbal and physical submission and you can tell if if you're in law enforcement or if you're a parent or if you're in any human interaction i want you to watch from this video it escalates going forward in the next videos how quickly he responds to sounds and movement of other people talking or that could potentially be addressing him that his brain sees as a potential threat or something he needs to focus on so how fast his head turns and this is in normal conversation where it's there's no threat it's value focus so the ceo of a company starts talking your head turns quickly but everyone around him has value so to speak because they pose a potential threat and the speed that we will redirect attention to another person the moment they begin talking is a very very good indicator especially for law enforcement but for anybody and his illustrators are jerky and rigid when he's explaining stuff and this is one of the things that all of us teach to recognize we're talking to victims of human trafficking if they're explaining themselves and at the end of the video we see him again this big exhale and he's turning back to the exit again to look out out the front door uh greg yeah nice cover that that whole quickness of moving your attention chase and we'll see it get even more interesting later but that's a great point to point out he's back to this middle school romancer thing his remember we called a romancer i've only got eyes for you they pay close attention because what they're trying to do is intake all the threat to ensure they're not missing something and they're addressing what you want that's why we call them the romancer and he's doing his little dance his he does a classic what i call chaff and redirect the minute they give him the opportunity to talk about something he knows he's even down there they used a flat point screwdriver he's redirecting he's throwing out as much garbage as he has hoping that you'll chase one of them when they say my detective blink rate goes up and this is one of the things the true crime workshop we talk about is the difference between an average cop who is securing the site making sure there's no more threat and then when the detective shows up often people can't tell the difference you'll be able to tell the difference when this guy starts asking questions and it shows up so keep stay with us and watch that um he may not know the difference yet but then he does his body language is face on he's trying to do the right thing i think mark you're right maybe you read one of your books he tries to do the right thing arms open looking right at you this sway slows a little bit when he gets to facts when he's doing facts he illustrates he starts to do those pieces and then he points to you would see it right there and what i want to say is you mean where your truck that's usually parked on the street is but they don't need to they are masterful at leaving silence to let him start to spiral into the death spiral of a lie so there's that uh mark what do you got yeah so concur with all of that breathing rate is is right up there again look at the top of the clothing here you'll be able to see just how fast that breathing and how he has to catch a big breath right at the start and and at the end um absolutely redirects on that the whole thing of of of redirecting the crime well there's been some breaking and entering going on and some pretty poor breaking entering as well because people have just been jimmying stuff with screwdrivers i mean so so that's like you know low grade breaking and entering so don't don't don't look at what might possibly be a murderer there's some low grade breaking and entering going on over there so classic redirect there um now what's interesting for me i love is the neighbor is already indicating uh to the officer that there's there's no outside interference he says well you know i'd have seen if anybody came in so he's already starting to inform the the the officer of of what you know a local believes already believes is really going on here but notice how the officer is not really responding to that it's not that he's not getting the signal he knows to keep it low-key he knows to keep it quiet he knows to keep this guy talking he doesn't want to get get the uh the potential perpetrator here worried that they're on to him um but there is that sense of of loss from watts we see him shrink right down when the neighbor says that it would be able to pick something up if anything had been out there it would be able to pick it up and we see him shrink and we get that abdominal curve so when you see him move around look at the curvature that's there he's moved the abdomen right in hunched his shoulders over you'll see this gesture a lot in in um adolescence pubescence uh you'll see it a lot that often they might even walk around consistently with that spinal curve going on in order to protect this area because they're now feeling just a general sense of unsureness because of the hormones that are going through that you know if you gave you or you or i you know adults those kind of levels of testosterone or estrogen we'd be tearing the place up so it's a weird world for an adolescent um but you're seeing quite an adolescent um curvature of the spine there so so interesting to see that uh he's he's he may be even kind of retreating in age a little bit you know worried about the pressure that's coming on him so uh scott what do you got all right yeah you guys pretty much cleaned up there he got tagged near everything sold it out but i'll go around and agree with everybody greg you're right when he's talking about facts things he knows about that's when those illustrators get big again and he's because he's comfortable doing it and he goes back to those because he feels like he needs to talk because that cop isn't talking and his buddy is you know he's just yeah when they're talking but so he feels like he needs to expend that some information so he starts talking about this truck thing out of nowhere cop didn't ask him about it nothing but he starts talking about it because he feels it helps him relax him acting like he's helping with something and acting like he's giving information that that that might be of help now we're going to hear this story again about the tools several times throughout throughout these videos he keeps going back to that again i think it's because it helps him feel okay it's something that he knows and he's can actually tell the truth about and actually speak loudly and with confidence and use his illustrators the way they're supposed to be used so that's why i think it keeps going back to that then we're seeing the the extreme stress starts starts coming out we're not quite the monkey mouth yet where his mouth is just open and it closes it but we're getting there we're getting really close we'll see in a little while lance armstrong does it in his um interview with uh oprah winfrey and man it's good because he does the whole thing he's just sitting there and just goes out of nowhere we're just yeah it's just the weirdest looking thing and uh yeah so i'll leave it there where we got there um my detective just showed up um so he'll probably want to talk to you he'd probably like i said he might have you call at the bank and see if there's any kind of activity um because if there is any sort of action out of his camera i would have got it like we had we had issues the other other week when people were kind of we're stealing stuff out of like garages and stuff like that and i have park control right here yeah so someone knew if i could see where someone tried to jimmy with a flathead screwdriver over there and it was just like but if any action would happen any cars or anything left at your house i would have been like right in that area i mean oh it'll pick up anything coming down the street this way oh yeah okay all right we good nothing for the rest of the day [Applause] she's pregnant as well how far along four to 15 weeks that's why her friend said it was low blood sugar all right uh mark what do you got yeah so i love this i want to concentrate on the neighbor okay what i want you to notice is even when he's controlling the tv his eyes are actually on watts and you'll see his eye movement in his head movement is following what's his movement so i would suggest the neighbor already knows this is odd behavior okay this is a rhythm that's either odd for what's or very likely as well just odd to have in his space because my guess is he's no well he will be able to smell the fear i mean literally he will be having an olfactory response to the molecules that the lactic acid uh and the uric acid that is a byproduct of that fat cleaving because of the adrenaline that's running around there he'll literally be able to smell that but you'll see his eyes are are watching him even as he's doing some other operation there so the neighbor is on to him around that really special to see i think um and i just want to pick up on the end of again another redirect at the end around the medical issue a potential medical issue it's just like like somebody's ill look over there again classic redirect on that one um i'm gonna go scott scott what do you got okay great well his his stress load is so large now he's actually marching around marching around almost in a circle you know it's he cannot blow off enough this stress and that that pent up energy from being from being stressed and then you see him taking his deep breaths and then the qualifiers he's adding with that with the thing about blood sugar come out of nowhere that's just you know he just starts talking about her blood sugar that's why her blood sugar was low grad there's some stuff on the tv they'll let you go but he starts talking about that and that's another thing that that another thread that runs through this because he's trying to say that must have been what happened to her she's she's got low blood sugar because she had that problem before she passed out in her car and had a car wreck that's part of that's one of the questions over in this big long three hour um bunch of videos or a single video we watched with this but that's not in the thing we're talking about so he keeps bringing that up as if that's probably the problem i think that's that's probably just crashed somewhere or something like that so he's building his story trying to get them to believe he believes that's what happened at that point and then up to this point he's never told him she's pregnant he never mentioned it he just talked about just the two kids and his wife that's it and he sees that thing on tv that fetus on tv and goes oh yeah she's pregnant my wife's also pregnant 14 15 weeks doesn't he doesn't even know for sure i think it was 15 weeks and up to this point i hadn't even mentioned that that would be a pretty big deal that would be something that would make you have all the the expressions of grief all every muscle you've got on your face that heads toward grief those things would fire up because you'd be thinking about that child that's not going to be here anymore much less your wife you know where she is and your kids everybody in your your family is missing and this cat's just walking around you know he's on fire limbically speaking but he's not showing any any kind of sadness he's not showing true worry nothing no expressions whatsoever so any of that greg what have you got yeah so you guys have hit a lot of this um mark i'm going to go back and talk for a minute about that smell because having worked with prisoners most of my life i can tell you that there was a smell you can't mistake i have no sense of smell left these days but i bet i could still smell that because it's more than a smell it's a heavy feeling at the back of your sinuses the back of your throat when you're around people who are in heightened fight or flight enough that they're starting to produce all those chemicals interestingly when people go through ketosis and they go through starvation and all this stuff a person's biology makes the smell so some people would smell like perfume some people smell like alcohol some people smell like flowers it's just a different smell depending on who you're around while that might seem stupid to you somebody on here who's a scientist who knows all that biology tell us down below what causes all that because i'm telling you it does i've had plenty of people under high duress and i've seen enough of them to know that the smell is there but that heavy fierce smell is certainly there so mark you're dead on with that the other one this guy who's his neighbor said he never did this thing i watched an interview with him he said he never did this thing so yeah of course he knows this guy is turned he this guy's turned and is running and the dogs are about to go after him and so it'll be interesting to watch he's doing a ton of adapters he's doing whatever it takes he's dancing around and trying to get rid of all that nervous energy that phone again for him is that nervous energy he can touch that and that phone is bigger guys in our culture you can't miss how powerful this mark kids you're dead on that you see them touching this thing constantly it's a reason there's screen time it's addictive to people it's that powerful the reason you track screen time to know how much you've done it so all of that energy has to go somewhere and quite candidly i've not weighed in on this guy but his level of scum baggery is off the scale this guy i'm certain he choked his wife we know he choked his wife to death he said how he did it i think then he went about killing his children he knew he had to kill his children and say that his wife had killed the children he killed her that was his story and then only later does he come out and say no i killed my wife then took my children alive to a place and killed him this guy is among some of the worst and i think that's why you see chase is very frustrated talking about him and and scott and mark i mean guys this is a level you don't usually see and these people know that this guy's done that this is one of the worst body language things we've seen because it's one of the worst guys and worst crimes you'll see so yeah chase what do you got yeah i've talked to a lot of bad people in my life saying i have never had this kind of an emotional reaction to a human being watching these things but i will say i had to ask somebody at the hotel i'm staying at what this guy was doing with his tv remote and i didn't know that you could talk into a tv i was today years old when i learned well an intel guy who doesn't want to remote you can talk to imagine that yeah i think it is call it the universe whatever you like that that came up on the television when it did and it was captured in i think 1080p uh which was axon body cam and it helped it really helped because it illustrated a whole lot of stuff so you guys have covered a lot of this behavior and we we talked about this indicator of how quickly someone reorients their attention to the to the speaker as an indicator of fear the second part of this is a deliberate display of contempt so a forced contempt to show you that everything i'm talking about is not a big deal uh you know it's just a there's a couple of things so forcing contempt and forced relaxed overly relaxed body language to where my i'll make a gesture and my hand will fall you can hear it hit my leg the over relaxation is his brain unconsciously saying i need to do the opposite of what i'm feeling right now i'm going off the rails panic i need to display off the rails relaxation because the lower mammalian part of our brain views behavior as a pendulum so if it says i'm over here this is the answer not the middle that's the answer on the far opposite side so when we see these aggressively overacted displays of contempt facial expressions that make things look like they're no big deal these relaxed behaviors huge red flag especially when they're paired with attentional captivity so a noise happens and they look that's a big deal i'll leave it at that hey chase let's make a game out of this because we will hear that unintentional leg slap over and over and over so you start keeping record keep count let's put down below how many times he does it starting right here yeah it's off the charts it's totally off the chat it's funny it is it would be funny if it were not such a sad story but yeah let's keep track and put down below what number you count nothing for the rest of the day no that's it she's pregnant as well how far along that's why her friend said it was low blood sugar let's see [Applause] did you tell your mother-in-law that she went to a friend's today yeah who's what friend that's all i know who was she supposed to go to i thought she told me she said she was going to her [Applause] all right i'll go first on this one in this one we see him trying his best to read the room he's trying hard because he's looking at everybody and if you'll pay attention to that woman which is that which is his wife's one of his her best friends apparently she knows he did it she knows he did it just as sure as he stand right there next to her and when she looks at him it's briefly she just shoots over and looks back she tries as hard as she can not to make eye contact with him and when he does start looking over you see her arm go up and she starts goofing around with her and she's also she's not quite touching super stern launch which is something we know that people do when they're under an enormous amount of stress or something scares them or that type of thing especially women then but she's really close she's got her hand on her chest she's really close with that um my my favorite person this whole video is that detective in the purple shirt because man that is the last thing you want is somebody standing that close to you who's a cop not even looking at you not paying attention not doing anything he's locked onto everything happening but it's like at this point he's starting to i'm getting the giggles because he's starting to feel the threat right there at least it's it's the the cocktail is right and the one asking the questions that are putting it on him because there's so much space in there so much time so much stuff and his grip on himself has tightened up so much it's starting to look almost comical when he's doing that um now again look at the woman that that's his wife's friend she's got disgust on her face look at her face a couple of times you'll see the the expression i've discussed where her the the the upper parts of her lip the philtrum comes up on this these sides of her nose and you can see that go up a little bit and then when he's asked when he asks him the questions he gives these short curt and and fading facts questions not a whole lot of information there really short i wouldn't i'll leave the other i'll leave the other stuff for you guys because there's a whole lot in here but as you'll see as the grip goes tighter that hit starts coming down almost like you're in pre-confession at that point as head starts going down he's tight like this and he looks like he's thinking about it because a lot of times you'll see him start rocking back and forth that head will go down and then just they'll give you it all he's not about to but that sure does look like he's he's got that on his mind like i think it's too late so he's feeling the threat again his limbic system is just he's freaking out i think at this point and he doesn't know what to do because he feels everybody in there look at him she's leaning away from him and the other and the other detective is leaning away from not he's not even giving him a look not even looking over just like watch him right there when we replay this watch that detective he's just standing there like he's like he's waiting for something in a store or wait for you to finish paying for something that's how cool this guy is these guys and this team of cops man they're good they're so good dang they're good okay uh chase what do you got let's talk about this neighbor scott that you just mentioned our the guy that we all started reading his name is desmond morris and desmond talked about being able to identify the familiarity of people from a long way off and he used a phrase called tie signs t-i-e and we don't see any of this here if we see a friend and neighbor where there's someone missing and she believes that they're missing her we're going to see increased proximity increased gesturing towards him increased eye contact mentioning his name we don't see any of that here i absolutely agree with you scott and he's searching around the room for behavioral cues from other people on how to act i think and we see that with this eyebrow flash that he does right away the officer starts speaking and the moment that he's speaking that attention snaps to the officer eyebrows go up this is an act of deference remember this this is the this eyebrow flashes the opposite of what anger does to your eyebrows if you make an angry facial expression they're down and together this showing of deference or submission or asking for confirmation it's up and apart primate all primates do this and even in intelligence training to the way to look for someone who is going to be more suggestible or easier to turn is someone who will replicate that eyebrow flash gesture at the beginning of a conversation we know that they're going to be more likely to be influenced at the beginning of conversation so we're seeing that from him on an extreme level and the extremity is not how high they go but how fast he does it in response to this officer starting to speak uh great yeah so we're going to see this guy now let me go back to what you talked about about proximix and about those tie signs every one of you that works in corporate america any place you work you do that without intentionally signaling if you take people who know each other and you put them in a room they'll put weight in toward each other even if it's subtle they'll be they'll lean in more toward each other an outsider will lean take weight away from the circle have their feet to the rear and you'll see that it's easy enough to see when you're dealing with prisoners of war we could tell rank by how much space a person was given we could look at people they didn't have to wear anything on their uniform we could say that guy's in charge look how much space he gets look at the deference because humans first and and foremost are primates and the big monkey gets space because the little monkeys don't want the big monkeys wrath so they give you space when they're close when there's fear and there's a chase you're dead on scott you're dead on when there's a catastrophe among the monkeys they bond they get closer together they start looking out for each other we're not seeing any of that here we see him now at full sway rate to use the word i used in the first thing the other thing that's interesting is humans when we're feeling emotion or when we're recalling something emotional our eyes drift down into our right it just happens now we talk about there are no absolutes what i want you to do is think about something emotional that happened to you in the past six months and watch where your eyes go they go down into your right this guy's breaking every eye contact down to the right down into the right down into the right he's isolated he knows it he goes into what i call sacred space he barriers locks himself behind there and then starts to adapt how is he adapting by the way a barrier means something i put between me and you to create more space an adapter is a way to make the unfamiliar familiar if you put an animal in the cage it paces to become familiar this guy barriers and then he closes his eyes as well he double barriers and his adapters are swaying and sucking on that hair on the bottom of his lip he's just rolling along and then he starts to talk about numbers and they say what time he says four or five but one forty eight that's kind of odd you call out a very distinct number but you're vague in other numbers that usually means there's something emotional associated with the very distinct moment so did they did she come in the room woke him up at 148 that caused a problem don't know when they ask him a very pointed question and he says and he's swaying chase i want to ask what do you think should happen to a kid who spills chocolate milk on the carpet to go back to one of your earlier programs because now we would have this guy saying well you should just let him go on about it and give him a new glass of chocolate milk because this guy is his brain is on fire it's the lower levels of his brain that upper neocortex all that stuff is not working right now he's just rattling and his little system is running around like a squirrel in the cage mark what do you got yeah so i love the detective here because go back and take a look at him the way his body is positioned he should just fall over because his spine's twisted up his weight's on one side he's like he'll bring his hands up um and he should just fall over but he doesn't he's perfectly still he's got enough twists in the spine that if you if you're observing him your brain goes what on earth is going on in his head right now in fact when i used to work with models we would work on poses uh in order to put as many twists as you could in the body because when when the viewer looks at that they think something psychological is going on so he's kind of intriguing uh to look at we see him uh do lip compression and which i think is withheld opinion there he's thinking he knows there's some complexity going on we see that complexity in his body but he has locked himself down because he doesn't want to give anything away and i want you to look at him looking at what's out of the corner of his eye he's picking up in his peripheral vision i would say the movement that's going on the rhythm just let you know something about the eye you got these uh these um uh cones uh in the in the center which which pick up color and definition and then you've got rods i think on the outside which are just doing black and white vision and they they really like to see movement and they're looking for surprises they're looking for something new to happen out the corner of the eye and they pick up rhythm really really well that's why when you see a predator above or predator below you're going to see it out your peripheral vision first of all and you're going to see your brain is going to pick up a flash of movement and if it's the right kind of rhythm it'll trigger your fight and flight system and you'll jump out the way and then realize it's just a paper bag blowing in the wind because better to be safe than sorry your brain is is designed to pick up these rhythms of threat i think he's picking up that uh rhythm out of the corner of his eye uh there the neighbor is fantastic as well just as scott was saying she's doing some comforting gestures i think here because she is she's worried and she's she's getting towards panic herself because she has a good idea of what's going on here i think and i think she signals it to the detective and i think she signals that with first of all what i would call a faint and and greg often calls i'm just a girl which is just to push the hair back and she bunches it up at the back there's no when you've seen her comfort herself like this there's no other reason to do that than to go just can you look over here a moment and also it protects somebody from seeing what's about to happen it protect it it's a distraction before the attack because after that she clocks she gets tries to get eye contact with the detective i think in order to say this is odd this is the person who's who's done it she's already started to try and attract his attention to say there's something going on here which is not quite uh right um and then at the end the the the officer who's talking i want you to notice the um uh what i would call the cadence of his so for me musically there's something different from rhythm and cadence or beaten cadence for me and music cadence is the distance between notes rather than the rhythm or the pace or the beat of something uh listen to the notes of uh uh did she when did she tell you that it goes all the way down instead of a question when did she tell you that or a statement when did she tell you that because he doesn't end on a straight cadence there a straight primal cadence i suspect he doesn't believe this at all because if he believed it he'd just be going uh when did she tell you that but he goes where did she tell you that he's not buying it at all i think you've got three people in the room at the moment who don't buy any of this that's going on and it's really early days because i think you know the act the crime was done just that morning he's already dealt with the bodies and now he's into this i mean i this i don't think he expected it to escalate this quickly and i think it's showing up badly for him he's panicked right from moment one and people can see it they can smell it they can taste it it's it's it's uh it's heavy and president in the room yeah that's what he was he was arrested two days after he murdered his family right yeah yeah right so mark you said you worked with models did you work with chase on his vogue shoe i will never give you the names of any of my clients so i just can't answer [Laughter] okay [Applause] did you tell your mother-in-law that she went to a friend today yeah who's what friend that's all i knew who was she supposed to go to that's awesome when did she tell you that this morning [Applause] all right and then she left arizona on friday and got back last night and she had the kids with her last night yes or do you have the kids i have the kids like all weekend okay they went to a birthday party yesterday over at my friend's house main street and then is someone sleeping in the basement i did a few times with the separation thing i just how recently probably about two nights ago three and a half when she was here so fight last time thursday night friday and then your kids do they sleep in their own bedroom they sleep with you guys those two rooms are connected you're lucky all right greg what do you got yeah so one of my favorites and chase this ties back to something you were talking about earlier about apprehension and quick movement he does something i would call robocopping his head turns and then his body it's almost like a really bad science fiction thing he goes back to that his voice is frying which we all know is oh deception he's got the voice fry he starts to bs he starts to make up something about when he slept in the basement and this is i got his baseline i'm all over his eye movement because then he goes to fact and he goes up and remembers when she was last home so now i've got an access and cue for for his visuals and what he puts facts together when i'm talking to this guy in the interrogation room i'm going to get him to deviate and go to the right side and go okay now i got something so what we're doing is establishing a baseline this guy's he's a squirrel in the road he doesn't know what to do at this point you can hear him breathing you hear chase's hand slaps his mouth actually is hanging open at this point not just from breathing heavily but when people are apprehensive there's that in him it's it's amazing to see you don't see that very often and then they give him the opportunity and there's the chaff and redirect birthday party down the road uh tuesday is just he's all over the place i don't know how he could think he had a chance and guys we're big fans of these guys this is weld county well county colorado we're big fans of you guys as police officers you got to you got our thumbs up from this end yeah scott what do you got all right yeah i agree with you these guys are awesome because they've gotten pinned against that wall and they've the cops have space themselves so he's having to look everywhere when he talks he's having to spin around and look it's awesome and that guy that's that the the cop right next to his being all quiet and doing this number yeah when he talks he's got that forceful you know yeah as he talks to him and then he then he shuts up she's it's it's it's just these guys are a great team i bet they hang out i bet you i got that orchestration guys beautiful yeah man beautiful orchestration yeah really well really well and so he's in olympic he's an olympic overload at this point because he just he's stepping it up trying to move around like you're talking about greg it just looks so odd and that's where we're seeing what what you were talking about with the mouth open that's monkey mouth and he's just and those bottom teeth are showing up and that lips hanging down and trying to be normal and chase you're right he's supposed to be acting one way but he's going hardcore the other way it just looks odd when he's slapping his hands when he answers these questions what i'm seeing there is he's saying along with what you're saying is that's it that's up to that one you know that's all i got for that let's move on to the next one yeah it's like yeah there there's that so they don't go any deeper than that however when that cop that's next to him ask him about that just you know ask about until you had the kids all weekend yeah i had them all weekend and he just goes he goes birthday party done he starts talking about a birthday party down the street oh it's beautiful it's beautiful and a minute the other one the other guy standing over there near the table he's going to chime in and he's they're doing the same thing we did on dr phil to uh what's his name the feet guy how the foot freak yeah mary he's been because well i'll get to that that happens in the next video but we'll cover that but these guys are doing they're doing such a great job such a great job because it's it's just that silence and they all know what's happening and not one of them believes this guy and now he's starting to feel the threat even more he's starting to he's like oh no this is it i can feel it and so like you're talking about chase bouncing from one to the other trying to clean that up and come to the middle he's trying to do that because he he knows he has to do that now he feels threatened because when he's pointing that whole hand goes out his whole arm and he's talking ab waving around he's in trouble and he knows he is he knows he's against the ropes chase what do you got i'm gonna i'm gonna read you what happens in the first 10 seconds all right from the behavioral table of elements not my discoveries but my creation rocking back and forth hands concealed eyebrow flash increased blink rate to 66 mouth open and hyperventilation he would have scored a 31 with seven being deception he would have scored a 31 in the first 10 seconds and his head nodding lingers on after he finishes talking because the officer's not providing him any non-verbal feedback i've seen this so rarely but i see it mostly in children who are being questioned and this is insane this is the most perfect illustration of idiot body language of morons that that we could get but these guys did an excellent job of yanking that out of him and getting him to display a lot of these things because a lot of what he's doing is is attributable to the behavior of the police in the room and he's overselling over delivering and it's not necessarily deceptive this is kind of a submissive behavior right right guys so i'm just gonna just did it yeah i'm sure i just did it i want to pull that out of you guys and you can see it again his head rapidly turns to address the officer as soon as he starts speaking more overly relaxed and the police officer says you're lucky everyone when you watch this again listen the officer says you're lucky he is so far he's running a program right now called protect myself that is taking up so much of his computers hardware in his head that the program for how to talk to humans isn't running it's not capable of running so what we're seeing is him just kind of staring and and trying to maybe process that but it's it's almost like it didn't get absorbed at all he didn't hear it because that statement didn't threaten him his brain says okay that's not going to hurt me and he didn't understand the statement that is a remarkable thing here and we'll talk a little bit more about what the police did right here very much did right here uh in the next video uh mark yeah yeah so fantastic job um from from the team uh the police team there so the officer uh closest to him uh has locked himself down you know so so he's he's trying to help himself not fill the space not fill the gap not contribute and he's doing a great job of that by locking himself down and covering his mouth so he won't feel the need to speak and that's why we get that perfectly long pause there where you know what's just breaks and starts into an over share of of content of detail about the kids the kids birthday party and once that uh once that is mentioned we get the the the cop again in frame shift his space and move again to block exits and tighten up you know where the pressure is coming from so they've now got him completely surrounded uh and and i believe that's putting even more pressure on yeah we're seeing in terms of this uh this noise that we're getting we're seeing what i would say is the sound engineers the sound person's nightmare uh so so bad actors or actors under stress a lot when they're nervous when they're getting upset you'll start to hear their jewelry or whatever you know their watches or their rings hit the tables they will slap their thighs they'll start making a whole heap of noise and that's when the sound person is like can we stop can we put something around their wrist and can we can we stop them doing that and a coach like me has to come in and go hey how you feeling you're doing okay you know do you want to talk through something or because they're nervous that is a great indicator they're under stress they're under pressure they don't like the story that they're telling right now they're not really believing it so i think we've got somewhere of of him doing a bad act of of hey that's you know that's just how it is you know nothing to see here nothing going on just a a party like sound persons nightmare we'd have to retake and read chris can we do that again just can you stop banging stuff sound guy it's hurting his ears anyway that's what i got for you i bet he'd like to do it again too yeah yeah you'd love to yeah he'd love a retake uh on that one this this is getting good and then she left arizona on friday and got back last night and she had the kids with her kids i have last night like all weekend okay they went to a birthday party yesterday over at my friend's house and then is someone sleeping in the basement i did a few times with the separation thing i just how recently probably about two nights ago three and a half when she was here so bye last time thursday night friday and then your kids do they sleep in their own bedroom they sleep with you guys those two rooms are connected you're lucky and what was the conversation this morning you guys had it was about uh selling the house and separation and how'd she take that we were both very emotional i was still crying and then did you see her before you went to work did you say anything to her well she went back like well she told me she was gonna go to her friend's house and be with the kid take kids with her oh she told you she was taking the kids yeah she didn't say who though oh no no no but she was still in bed when that happened and this was after the conversation yeah it doesn't mean like four or five a.m i woke up about four o'clock anytime she get home 1 48. did you guys sleep for a little while and then oh yeah i was passed out when you got home and then did you wake her up yeah when i got up and that's when you discovered that yeah i i didn't want to do it like over a tax throw or a phone call i wanted to be face to face with it how long did that conversation last i left 30 45 minutes and then you went to work i went to i left about 5 15 5 30 in that time frame and she said she was going to a friend's house with kids but she was still here when i left all right mark what do you got yeah so kind of kind of sad in a way uh well very sad you know we see that uh and then i saw you picked up on it as well greg that head bobble that head bobble that happens when he's talking about a conversation at 30 45 minutes we haven't seen him do that head bobble before i think this is the point in the story in the timeline when he would have uh done the act uh committed the murder and so that's why i believe we get this very out of place for for most for most people uh within you know the the north american culture though though there are head bobbles you know now and now and again uh it's not usual and so it's such an out of place i think i think we're getting as i've said before it's a bit of a knockout we're getting to the faint part of fight and flight at that point and there and the severity of the act and the the for one of a better word heinous nature of the act uh comes comes forward there i think that's why we have the head bobble there um did you see her before you went to work he makes this sound it's quite a shocked sound i think to chase his point i don't think he comprehends what's going on here anymore he's not hearing stuff right i think he's making stuff up in his head now as to the questions being asked and i think he heard something that wasn't said at that point uh i think he he i don't know quite what he thinks he he heard the officer say to him but it certainly wasn't what the officer actually said to him so all kinds of things are going on in his head there um yeah awful awful stuff um chase what do you got we have uh some chained elephant stuff going on here but i think he stops recalling his story because it's taxing everything that's going on is taxing his mental resources right here and again watch how fast his head snaps to the other officer when the other officer starts asking the question that's one of the another key factor in human trafficking victims when they're being interviewed is this fear submission to authority figures who could potentially hurt them or discover that they're in the country illegally stuff like that and for police doing these interviews taking the entire thing as a mosaic and was the focus of that person on their innocence and their story or was it on finding their family or getting help or you know solving the case figuring things out and getting data to the surface so as a mosaic this entire thing is about his innocence there's nothing else in the whole every question that he answers the data inside of it has nothing to do with finding them locating them or concern even concern for them he hasn't even mentioned their names throughout this entire thing which is a distancing all on its own and when he says she was still here when i left i think what he should have said was they were still here when i left and i think that's an important uh let's just call it a miss pronoun i don't know the word for it greg yeah so a couple of things i'm going to hit a few that you've already hit that head bobble is out of character he's swaying and then head bobbles something happened i think that's the moment of the act i agree with you the 9-1-1 call you know we typically think of 9-1-1 calls scott and i reference this in the true crime workshop there's a thing called the caller is the killer if a person doesn't tell you they need help if they're not about getting a solution if they're telling you a story that later becomes an alibi often they're the killer i think the number was 28 of the time that if you didn't do this they were the killer that's number one number two i'm going to tell you something you probably can't even believe because you've never seen it if i put enough pressure on you your brain will eliminate your ability to listen to me it will your brain and i've seen it many times i've talked to stress lab folks at emory and they said you we we theorize that we've never seen it but i have seen it you crank up the heat so much on a person that their brain through all the chemicals and everything that drops in starts to say i can't take any more of this and backs out and when it does a person's hands draw and they ball up in the floor it happens i've seen it caused it myself in real life once and then learned to see it coming and stopped but if that's possible this guy is one of the people i've seen who is getting close a little more pressure and a pointing at him and telling him would probably indicate that he would go into that next phase and i think it's called adrenal fatigue one of you guys who is a scientist down below tell me what what i got wrong there but i've seen it i know it works this guy's trying to start and i think you hit it dead on chase he's not trying his brain is starting to say self-preservation mode and it's starting to shut off listening and paying attention to details he's trying to control release whatever story he has and trying to get the information out he does it now some basic body language he does when he says she was here when i left so look at that this is again where he's got all those numbers that are jumbled some are very distinct this is the point i was talking about earlier if you go back and listen 148 this happened four or five 30 to 45 minutes he's got requests for approval in there his brain is frying circuits right now he's trying to figure out what to do next and we'll see him later if you go back now go back and watch the video that we did two weeks ago of him standing on the front porch that's after this go watch now you'll understand all the squirming and doing this so watch them in succession you'll see something very different he's in trouble he's in real trouble right here scott what do you got yeah chase going back to what you said about he's he should have said uh i saw what you say we we i saw she was still here yeah and he said she should have said they were still here she wasn't still there the kids were so he's focused on her i didn't think about that until you said that but that's right that's that's why she's she's uh that's why he says that because he knows he's got to say she was there because she was dead but the other kids he hadn't done that yet so that's what so i agree with you gosh that's a good that's a great catch great catch so he's when he starts answering he's already at least starting to to lock down to that monotone again and get that voice fry going because he's been doing this for a couple hours now so as he goes along still trying to remember the same story that's why you've heard the same question being asked several times when did you hear what what when did you see her last what time did you get up what happened that day everything's centered around that that that morning what happened before he left that's what every question seems to be centered on because they all know what they're doing and they're asking different ways the same question to get around there because you'll hear and when you hear oh when you see things on the news well we figured pretty much this person did it because their story changed between here and there whatever and you think well if i ever kill somebody i'm not going to change my story well the way your story changes is you're asked the same question so many times in this way you're if you'll listen to the tone these guys are using they're not an accusatory tone they aren't just just a hair of it but they're just it's like we're just talking man just you know what what happened what's what's going on so that's when you listen for the for those inconsistencies and you talk later uh you talked later about those so that's what's going on there these guys like again are a great team that guy with the uh baseball cap on he's probably on a crash team or something and those guys they're the ones that run out and chase you don't you send them anywhere man they'll go they don't care they'll go kick the door in and go in they'll be the first ones in so those people have this all this energy out of i can kick your hand in not that he's feeling that energy but i think he can see it on him because the guy's trying to be quiet and late and lay back in that corner a little bit and stay back from him because he's the furthest one away because he's probably the one with the most energy that like everything happens wrong i could it's no problem i get this guy you know he's muscular and stuff yeah it's not a problem at all it's like well i talk about greg if we go somewhere my biggest fear is that he would lock the door and then kill us all with each other beat us to death i don't want you as a witness if i ever get in trouble anywhere yeah sorry man i will not carry this harrod's letter yeah so then uh see what else so when he says did you see her before you left before you before you went to work he stops man he locks cold right there and then starts talking again and again it's monotone and he starts to fry out his voice this again he's getting tired but he's trying to remember all these things and he's got to remember so hard he can't even pacify himself anymore he just stops and starts talking um that's all i'll say on that i think we we got pretty much everything covered on that there's some good things but yeah and what was the conversation this morning you guys had it was about uh selling the house and separation and how did she take that we were about very emotional i was still crying and then did you see her before you went to work did you say anything to her when she went back like well she told me she was gonna go to her friend's house and be with the kid take kids with her oh she told you she was taking a kiss yeah she didn't say who you though oh no no no but she was still in bed when that happened and this was after the conversation yeah it was between like four or five am i woke up about 4 o'clock every time she gets home 1 48 did you guys sleep for a little while and then oh yeah i was passed out when she got home and then did you wake her up yeah when i got up and that's when you discovered that yeah i i didn't want to do it like over a taxi throw over a phone call i wanted to be face to face with it how long did that conversation last i left 30 45 minutes and then you went to work i went to i left about 5 15 5 30 in that time frame and she said she was going to a friend's house with the kids but she was still here when i left all right here we go you went to a job site or you went to the main plan or where'd you go i went to location first where was that bye bye hudson over there there was someone there that time when you got there no no uh won the operators he had an issue there on friday it doesn't run over the weekend i went over there just to kind of verify what kind of issue with you was having see if i could fix it then we went to a pumping unit across the across the ranch over there over there most of the day that's when i got the phone calls and text messages and came home are you guys on like 49 where you guys at oh like you know where like rocking is yeah yeah okay here we go all right chase what do you got i want you to notice the lack of fading facts when he says nobody was there when i showed up because the facts go up i think that was a truthful statement so when scott talks about this fading facts and greg talks about it a lot the one true statement we know he's making is that nobody was present wherever it be wherever it is when he showed up so the facts go up you hear him say no no and he gets more firm and more direct when he confirms that he nods after these statements like a deceptive six-year-old for approval so he'll just talk and then go you can see him nodding and waiting for the officer to nod back this is some classic guilt his head's snapping when he's spoken to and this final question is what a rapid shift in blink rate looks like you can see it go from 20s to 70s in less than one second once this final question is asked and he said he's explaining his journey and his trip and this final question comes out you can see the blink rate just skyrocket up and this entire thing is a textbook this entire video could be a textbook on what officers could potentially look for and what parents could look for in their kids when we're talking about you know talking to your kids and asking these questions how fast does their head go from you to the other parent when the other parent starts talking and that's something you could you could potentially try to that uh scott i'll pass it to you all right i think i think what happened was when he says um and so the reason you don't hear fading facts there is because he didn't go there he says he went there because he tried to say well that's where i went i went over here i had to go see what was happening on that job site on the location of that then he asked him something else okay then he says then we went he starts off with i went to hudson then we went to um the other the the other um oil was the oil pumping unit a station unit thing or whatever and because that's in ragan near rogen that's where the bodies were at that oil pumping station that's what it was at rogan so he didn't go there what he did was that morning he killed her took them out there i won't give him the details but so and then he ended up uh burying her then putting the girls in the tanks and then um and that's where the other guy must have shown up they worked around there or something because that's the only guy that saw him because that cop asked him did anybody see out there which which is what you want to know great question but nobody was there that's why because he didn't go he didn't go there because if you look on the map which i did you'll see where he lives and then you see hudson then rogen is way up here where the bodies were where that where that uh station was so that's why it says it's way out there he tries to blow it off like it's nothing not worth it so far away so i'm you know once i can't do anything that type of thing so uh yeah so that's that's uh that's that sort of covers everything i was going to cover because you got a lot of stuff on the last thing all right uh greg what do you got yeah so guys i'll use my particular version of voodoo that people like or don't there's eye movement out the wazoo here this guy when you ask him where he was he does his visual accessing ding ding and then his blink rate goes through the roof and his eyes drop down to the right as he answers a question so that accessing where i actually was then my blink rate goes and then i drop down to the right in an emotional state where he's living right now as i try to answer the question tells you what's going on this guy's head he knows that if he says where he was he's in trouble because why was he there for that long before this other guy shows up so i don't know all the processes going on his head i can't read his mind but i can clearly tell you he accesses a visual cue because i've watched it up to now and gotten a bass line on him and then drops down to the right after a lot of eyelid flutter that's enough for me on this one to just say okay it's working this guy's lying to me and now i'm going to go back and chase as you were hitting dead on what if we used some evidence from somewhere else but even without evidence i'd say hold on a minute when i asked you a question earlier you went here i've used that way to break people before and it actually gets through to them that you have developed a baseline on them and that there's no way to hide this guy's inside his own head right now is where he's living so that's what he's got to live with mark your turn yeah so i'm just going to triangulate everything that you've said there which is for me the slap sound that we hear around when he's talking about the location is the loudest slap that we hear from him like mickey on boom mickey boom would have screamed and and been really upset right and that would be mickey dunn for boom it because he his eardrums would have gone on that one so uh me you know hearing mickey boom scream i would have gone okay there's something up here there's something very particular there's something very particular about this location that we need to investigate either there's something important about it or it's important because it's a total lie like something is up here so go back and listen to those slaps i get get out your decibel meter if you like i guarantee you that's the slap with the highest decibels on it because that is a key piece of deceit going on here and it's upsetting and destabilizing watts a hell of a lot poor mickey on boom he's you know terrible job terrible job for him with this particular performer there it's very british of you decibels yes oh that's oh you have doesn't have decibels decibels yeah decimals decimals decibels that's decimals no but yeah yeah all the racial engineers call them decibels so anyway all right we don't greg we can't hear you but if you're a real southern guy you can call it decibels yes oh so i did this interview with this girl and she's it's one of those interviews where you talk to and they write it all out right so she sent me the email today and she said we look over this make sure everything's great the first sentence was uh it said you know there are no absolutes it depends on what's happening or whatever it was with the cues and tails t-i-a-l-s accent got you on that tells help us and tails i thought about mark help hail hey old pal i was thinking exactly the same thing tails tails you went to a job site or you went to the main plan or where'd you go i went to location first or side by hudson over there there was someone there that time when you got there no no i won the operators he had an issue there on friday doesn't run over the weekend i went over there just to kind of verify what kind of issues he was he was having see if i could fix it then we went to a pumping unit across the across the ranch over there over there most of the day that's when i got the phone calls and text messages are you guys on like 49 where are you guys at oh like you know like rocking this yeah so what kind of tools did you have to load up in the garage it was just mainly my got my water bottles and my water jug my computer book bags uh my containers full of just uh my o-rings all that stuff i'm just putting it all in there because i took it all out you loaded up every day i'll just like on the monday like after i get all that stuff because i had an issue where somebody stole all my tools out of my truck my pipe wrenches are gone my socket set's gone my what else my wrench that's gone like we had an issue that's why i parked my truck in front of the neighbor's house that for like a few days just to see if like i can see if anybody was breaking it tried to break into my truck again it was my fault i left it a lot all right greg what do you got yeah so he is thankful they're letting him talk about something he knows but i have never heard a person hyperventilate about talking about things they put in their truck and that's what he's doing he's chaffing and redirecting and still and then my o-rings and my and he can't even think this guy's scrambling he's a squirrel on the road he's starting to like like like go back watch the porch thing and we said when he starts to say like like like there's something coming so his his little brain is frying i'm not going to go a whole lot into that except for he chaffs he redirects and he trades guilt when a person say when what he's saying here is it's my fault okay is he talking about the truck broken into or something else he's trading guilt hey i did something dumb i think this guy's brain is a squirrel on the road he doesn't know where to go now that's where we're at chase what do you got my o-rings are gone pocket set's gone you know what else is going in your family maybe yeah maybe maybe make that a priority instead of talking about how many tools you lost this this entire thing is chat from redirect as greg would say and i think we see it again we see how the content on his face when he's talking about oh it's just you know it's loaded in some tools overly drawn contempt to lower the severity lower the importance of the issue overly dramatic relaxed body language this big you know his arms are moving out bigger than he's ever moved in any interview than this showing that what i loaded into the truck was really big everything was just huge all these o-ring boxes it's it's a lot of stuff guys it's it's really big and i'll wrap with this the officer that's behind him i think is hilarious when i was on deployment and i didn't believe somebody i would get those thumbs hooked into my body armor and just kind of just kind of have that same uh that same pose i just stick my thumbs behind that plate and just and just let them finish and that's and that's what we see there we see that he's just gonna let this guy let this guy go and i love it mark yeah totally agree with you there um he becomes demonstrative and so he's up in passion we haven't seen him suspended up in passion at chest level you know the passion plane here and goes into what i would call third circle where you see some of his his joints lock out so so again this is a bigger more expansive movement more energy required and he's talking about his water bottle but i've never got anybody so excited about you so what tools was it well tools well yeah my water bottle my water jug yeah water bottle not at all water jug that's the same as your water bottle they're the same thing like you haven't mentioned at all yet uh o-rings not at all that's a component and i think you'd know that so so yeah you didn't load in any tools did you ah yeah didn't you ask for tools all my tools have been stolen that's that's why i kind of like you know and and then he starts on to this redirect of and this is where he's trying to do the con essentially because he's trying to make out he's trying to lower his status like i've had all my tools stolen jimmy jimmy with a screwdriver even like you know someone they didn't even have a proper crowbar proper jimmy it's just a little screwdriver and then all the tools were gone a flat screwdriver flat point screwdriver not even a phillips it's a flat point screwdriver all my tools were gone um you know it's my fault it's my fault and so i think what he's trying to do is lower his status and get get buy-in from them by going i'm just an idiot who loses their tools and their family it's like i'm not smart i won't be able to commit a crime i'm this kind of idiot that loses tools and now i just can't find my family yeah and so there's this pattern of i'm a bit of a i'm a bit of a loser and i think the hope is is that the police would go oh you're a bit of an idiot aren't you well it's all right just you stay here we'll go and we'll go and try and find them and see who's done something bad because you you clearly you can't even look after your own tools wrap it up boys let's go yeah exactly he's lost his tools let's let's let's head out chase is left there going hang on i think oh all right yeah it's um uh i got you gotta laugh because it is so awful that he thinks that he might get away with this one was he picked up what a couple of days afterwards i think they actually arrested him two days later and then he ran for interview and we've had people say well the system planted false memories in in the interrogation his dad broke him not the police i mean yes through a process they broke him but they're making it out like maybe they planted something in his head in comments below no go go watch the interrogation these guys were masterful yeah yeah yeah the woman in that that did that was great she was beautiful she's absolutely she's great yeah if you want us to do a breakdown of that like let us let us know if that's of interest uh to you uh scott let's finish off with you yeah i think he goes back to that story about his tools again he did ask him about it because he's comfortable there that's why we see him go off he's like ah it's just not on my dang turf here man i'm at home so he goes through that stuff again you all covered everything else but that's the main that's the main thing there and i like that other guy chase also because he's a gum chewer so yes he was chewing gum the whole time so that's you know i'd probably get alone he didn't spit it out right yeah no no no he kept it he kept it so um yeah so i think he goes back to that because he's comfortable now if you'll go through this uh one more time and you look at all the times that he's comfortable and he's talking about his tools where he feels comfortable when he's being what i would call non-deceptive about something that's when we see this up in the passion plane mark and we see his and and and then what did you call this plane appear that was new to me oh this thing static above the head is there yeah so that's where we actually see we see those things when he feels like he's he's uh comfortable there when he's being honest when he's telling what happened we did see the dishonesty with his his illustrators in the in the video at the beginning when he when he was doing those when he had illustration lag where you say something then then hit it but in these there's back again because that's where he's comfortable [Music] so what kind of tools did you have to load up in the garage it was just mainly my got my water bottles and my water jug my computer book bags i have my containers full of just uh my o-rings all that stuff i'm just putting it all in there because i took it out a lot do you load it up every day i'll just like on the monday like after i get all that stuff because i had an issue where somebody stole all my tools out of my truck my pipe wrenches are gone my socket set's gone my what else my wrench that's gone we had an issue that's why i parked my truck in front of the neighbor's house that for like a few days just to see if like i could see if anybody was breaking it tried to break into my truck again it was my fault i left it a lot so now let's run around the room one time and and and give a percentage that's all we're going to give from one uh from zero to 100 percent how much um deception we're seeing how much is deception and how much is being uh non-deceptive for being truthful greg you want to go first 95 deceptive yes he woke up at 148 when his wife came in other than that i don't see a whole lot of truth in this guy okay chase chase yep i'd say 95 woke up at that exact time he's probably missing some tools there's probably a flathead screwdriver involved in this story somewhere uh i'll leave it at that scott yeah i'm going to give him i'm going to say about 90 because um the deception because when he was talking about the tools and some other things he was actually being honest about what happened with those and a couple other things so i'm going to go i'm going to i don't want to hit 95 with you guys but i'm going to say he's 90 just full of it and the 10 he was being honest with that way that's one of the ways we could get a good uh baseline on him mark what do you got yeah i agree with everything uh that those percentages there i will say however that maybe we've been a little bit deceptive because we said that we covered any everything but we purposely left out something very very important in video five we didn't comment on so we want you to go back to video five take another look at it take another look at our commentary and there's something that i talk about quite a bit chase will often bring up as well that we didn't talk about so what do you think that is what do you think we missed out on there and we talked about it in one of the last videos about in the last video we talked about it certainly in the in the in the with him first chris watts for sure okay yeah yeah so keep that in mind as we go through now please subscribe all you do is hit that little red thing down there and and you'll be subscribed when we have a new show come out which is every thursday you'll know it for anybody else because people in other countries they get them a lot earlier in the morning or later at night than than other people so they'll watch it as they go to bed and some people get them and watch them as soon as they get up so if you'll hit that little red button down
